It’s an ill wind…
Boehner, shown sobbing in the picture below, has resigned from Congress, according to CNN. And all this time, I thought it was the tedious inanity of the Pope’s speech that drove him to tears. That excellent Catholic lady, Nancy Pelosi will miss him greatly; she depends on his backing to get her ghoulish Planned Parenthood funded. So, let’s not be too critical of our pontiff for frittering away his opportunity to warn Congress about funding the macabre agenda of Planned Parenthood, or to remind them that according to their own laws, the rights of Christians should not be over-ridden by the “rights” of perversion. At least, Boehner will be out! Now if only the nut to his right …
When you begin thinking about it, it says so much that all three of the above, heck, even throw in Nancy Pelosi (yes, please – anywhere will do!) and you have quite a nice commentary on the the state of the post-Vatican II church, after 50 years of renewal.
How did the Church arrive at this tragic state of neurosis? Hilary White has a good explanation of this fall from grace, for that is what it is. Miss White’s comparison of the state of the Church with the all-too-common dysfunctional family is both clear and frightening.
“Thus, out of this parental neglect was born the current schizophrenic situation where the Church’s teachings remain written in the books and mouthed in public by prelates while being ignored and undermined by them in pratice. And of course it is this very schizophrenia that Walter Cardinal Kasper, a man whose outrageous and very public heresies have gone uncorrected for 40 years, wants, perhaps not unreasonably, finally to make official Catholic ‘policy’. “
“This chronic inconsistency in the application of Church discipline – including the “new normal” of bishops disciplining faithful Catholics for being faithful – has finally reached a nadir in the pontificate of Pope Francis who governs over a Church already traumatized, untrusting and half-paralysed with desperate, neurotic fears and confusion. But with Francis we see an entirely new kind of phenomenon, the next stage in the progression of the Catholic disaster.”

There is so much that needs to be said to put this dysfunctional papacy in perspective. The above article makes a good point. But let’s go further, and see this papacy in light of Catholic prophecy, revelation and the messages of the Blessed Virgin from Quito, La Salette, Knock, Fatima and Akita. We are at the close of the Fifth Age, the Age of Apostasy, which began with Luther’s revolt. We seem to be hastening at breakneck speed towards the climax of the Chastisement which, though horrendous, will usher in the Age of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. It will be a brief respite, after which will come the ultimate Anti-Christ, which is only foreshadowed now.
Therefore, our main concern should be saving our souls and the souls entrusted to us, within the context of this coming Chastisement. Once we understand Our Blessed Mother’s Fatima Message, instead of being alarmed and disheartened by the desolation of the post-Vatican Church, we can take confidence in her promise to us, “To whoever embraces this devotion, I promise salvation; those souls will be cherished by God, as flowers placed by Me to adorn His throne.”
On September 8th, I posted on the memorial of Our Lady’s Nativity and suggested beginning to prepare for the Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary or for your Renewal. I only heard from a few readers, but hope that many more are preparing. Right afterwards, of course, news came that our pontiff’s trademarked commodity, “Mercy, Inc.” had been launched by way of his Moto Proprio, Misis Iudex, supposedly “in honor” of her birthday, and was scheduled to take effect on December 8, the feast of her Immaculate Conception. Thus giving our humble Pope Francis the double bonus of insulting the Mother of God twice. So your preparation for the Consecration is very important and current events should only serve to emphasise the reparative aspect of our Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
As Sister Lucia reminded us, “Our Lord Jesus Christ has always defended the honor of His Mother.” And so, we rush on toward the Chastisement, faster and faster. And look around – how many Catholics have you been able to alert? Me neither. But you and I are here, and so we must,
“Have in mind therefore in what manner thou hast received and heard: and observe, and do penance. If then thou shalt not watch, I will come to thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know at what hour I will come to thee.” (Apoc. 3,3).
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle!
Immaculate Heart of Mary, our Mother, we place our trust in thee!
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done!
Remember, pray the Rosary and confound the devil!
