St. Godfried Danneels pray for us!

According to the “locutions” of Father Stefano Gobbi, the Mother of God commands Catholics:

“Above all you must be united with the Pope, whom Christ has placed as the foundation of his Church. Today only those who remain united to the Pope can be saved in the faith. Listen to him; follow him; spread his teaching with courage.” (purported locution of the Mother of God to Father Stefano Gobbi)

St. Godfried Danneels, pray for us!

In a recent post, Thoughts of a Dry Brain”  I wrote about a watershed (for me) moment when I openly admitted to a prominent member of our local Latin Mass community and to the Novus Ordo priest that says the Mass there, that I support the SSPX, that is, contribute to them and attend Chapel there, when I am able to.

I received no response from the lady who sent me the video that started it all. Although I am fairly sure word has gotten around. Father X emailed a response yesterday, it was pleasant and cordially advised me that, regarding SSPX,

“The masses they celebrate are valid but attending them is illicit because they are in schism with the Holy See. There is an issue of sin and disobedience to the Holy Mother Church. While I cannot stop you from attending (SSPX) and other such like churches, there is an issue of obedience to the Catholic Church and the Supreme Pontiff, Pope Francis. …the fact remains that Rome has given a directive to be in communion with the Holy See. The SSPX group is not in communion with Rome.”

[Note: The Diocesan priest mentioned above publicly declared me in a state of persistent grave sin and refused me the sacraments, simply for attending SSPX Chapel. This is the same priest who installed an ATM in the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception which he oversees.]

Regarding criticism of Pope Francis, Father X attached a letter from the head of the Marian Movement of Priests, a Father Geremias and told me to read it prayerfully. The letter:

RE: MMP and Popes, past and present

Because of the present confusion, even among the members of the MMP, I write to strengthen and encourage those of you who are faithful to Pope Francis, and to reach out to those of you who may have doubts.

The Act of Consecration was given to Fr. Gobbi by the Blessed Mother, for the members of the MMP throughout time. We must keep this consecration as it was given to us. This is what we pledge: “We further promise you to be united with the Holy Father…” In the messages, there are numerous references in which the Blessed Mother insists upon our obedience, our support, our love and our prayers for the Holy Father. I quote the following, which are just a few out of many:

w How can the Mother publicly criticize the decisions of the Pope, when he alone has the special grace for the exercise of this sublime ministry?

x  I was silent at my Son’s voice; I was silent at the voice of the Apostles. I am now lovingly silent at the voice of the Pope: that it might be disseminated more and more, that it might be heard by all, that it might be received into souls.

y  This is why I am very close to the person of this first of my beloved sons, the Vicar of my Son Jesus.

B Return, return, my priest-sons, to love, obedience and communion with the Pope!

D Only in this way can you hear my orders, which I will give through the very voice of the Pope.

c   The virtue which I love most in my priest-sons is that of obedience. Today, you must be an example to everyone, by obeying with joy your superiors, especially the Pope.

The conclusion to be drawn is that we must believe the words of the Gospel in which Jesus promised Peter and his successors that “the gates of Hell will not prevail.” There are those who believe more in some diabolical self-proclaimed visionaries or in other prophecies, than in the words of the Gospel. Jesus said it clearly: “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority.”

Some people are objecting to the Pope’s teachings because of what is reported by the secular and even sometimes by the catholic media. I encourage you to read his original talks and not the summaries as reported by others who may be biased. We must warn all those who reject Pope Francis that they are in heresy and are cutting themselves off from the Catholic faith. They increase the sorrow of Our Blessed Mother.

Those will never fall who are always with the Pope. (#106p)

Pope Francis and Mercy

…. Oh, please, let us pray for those who are acting like the older brother of the Prodigal Son by questioning the words and actions of our Holy Father. At a Lenten penance service in St. Peter’s Basilica on March 13, Pope Francis announced an extraordinary jubilee, a Holy Year of Mercy, to highlight the Catholic Church’s “mission to be a witness of mercy.” The special year will take place Dec. 8, 2015 until Nov. 20, 2016. The pope emphasized a frequent theme of his: “No one can be excluded from God’s mercy.” He continued during his homily: “I frequently have thought about how the church can make more evident its mission to be a witness of mercy.” According to St. Paul, Mercy is the highest attribute of God. Remember that the Blessed Mother promised that her Triumph will coincide with the Triumph of Divine Mercy! We should see a correlation.

The Synod

Pope Francis has to listen to all the members of the Synod. Error must be identified before condemning it. Pope Francis has always sincerely asked for prayer. We must intensify our prayers for him, to keep the church unified. The Evil One has managed to bring about confusion, even among good people. Listen well to what the Blessed Mother told us:

“My Adversary has dared to attack the Most Holy Trinity, obscuring its great work of love and of glory…He keeps aflame the confrontation with the Pope, whom Jesus set in the Church as the center of unity and as the guardian of truth.” (May 13, 1980, #200 e,g )

t [Satan] makes you believe that the Pope is denying the truth, and thus Satan demolishes the foundation on which the Church is built and through which the truth is kept intact throughout the ages. (#108t)

In times of confusion, we need to cling to Holy Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the teachings of the Fathers of the Church (the Tradition), Jesus’ presence in the Eucharist and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

Dear brothers and sisters of the MMP, I am sure that most of you already are aware of what I have said. As I stated at the beginning, I write to strengthen you who are faithful to the Holy Father, and to reach out to those of you who may have doubts. The Blessed Mother promised: “No external interference will ever be able to harm this work of mine [my Movement] which I am jealously bringing to birth for the salvation of my Church.”

(48f) This is the time to invoke her and to ask her to help us to be faithful to the spirit of her Marian Movement of Priests.

Most sincerely in Jesus and Mary,

Fr. Francis Geremia cs

My comment on Father X’s letter. There is sufficient information available to refute Father’s allegations against the Society of St. Pius X, so I will not  beat that dead horse. He then instructed me to read the letter from Father Geremia “prayerfully”, which clearly means to abide by it. needless to say, I will no longer attend Father X’s TLM. Perhaps I should not have done it, that is, not revealed my support for SSPX. It would have been safer. But would not have been honest. I had a naive hope that my doing so would bring the issue into the open, and perhaps the Novus Ordo trads (who love the Latin Mass but hate Archbishop Lefebvre, the saintly man who made it possible) would see the SSPX in a clearer light. I failed.

Comment on Father Geremia’s letter: Until this point, I was not familiar with Father Geremia but was somewhat familiar with the false “revelations” of poor, confused Father Gobbi. I lumped them in with Luisa Piccarreta and Medjugorje and thought no more about them. But the letter forced me to take a new look, and I’m just too discouraged right now to write properly on it. Father Gobbi may have been a pious soul, but those revelations were definitely not Our Lady of Fatima. And  just think –  this auditory illusion commands faithful Catholics to blind obedience to the Popes, who have disobeyed her! in fact, there are credible sources who quote Father Gobbi as stating that the Mother of God told him that the Consecration had not been performed as requested.

If we are to believe Father Geremia, our new Litany of the Saints of the Synod, will have the names of Saints Danneels, Kasper, Marx, Baldisseri, Forte and that sweet dear man Battista Ricca. For these men wholeheartedly embrace Pope Francis. What say, we all just canonize Pope Francis right now? Who needs miracles, we have the Mother of God herself endorsing him! What strange theology is behind these “locutions”!

There are literally thousands of priests throughout the world who follow this Father Gobbi and will take what Father Geremia says as gospel. Please continue to pray for our priests.

As a footnote, the title, “Thoughts of a Dry Brain” was a reference to Eliot’s Gerontion.

Dear Evensong….you are in my rosaries.. Keep your posts coming as long as you have the strength as I’m sure this suffering does take a toll on you, and thank you again for your faithful witness to Our Sweet Jesus Crucified. Blessings Theresa

  2. Theresa DeSimone says:

Dear Evensong, don’t be disheartened, You know these are very diabolical times and confusion reigns. The fact that your parish priest does not support the SSPX should not deter you from attending the TLM at your parish. Time will certainly tell where these diocesan priests will go concerning the inevitable changes that will arise from the SINOD. I’m watching and waiting …the parish where I attend the TLM is in the Boston Archdiocese , under Cardinal OMalley ( one of the gang of eight), they are predominantly Novus Ordo and it is quite an affluent parish, I’m always amazed at the fact that these priests actually think that the Novus Ordo is ok and that they can pull off the sitting on the picket fence routine….sounds as though I’m being very judgemental but I can’t wrap my head arround it all. I don’t attend the TLM because I’m longing for the good old days….there never were any good old days…I attend the TLM because it is the Mass of All Times and I expect my parish priest to comprehend that as well….so we watch and Waite however painful it may be and of course most importantly we pray to Our Lady. I do expect it to get worse but I’m completely confident in Our Lady’s promise that in the end Her Immaculate Heart will triumph. Many Blessings to you dear heart, Theresa
