The following is a repost from a top-notch blog in England, BVMServant with thanks to Mr. Dulston. and it is a very welcome addition to our understanding of the meaning of the October messages of Fatima and Akita for this Synod and the period of trial sure to follow close upon it.
The Fire of the Immaculate or the Fire from Heaven?
With the Family Synod occurring the Marian month of October, and in light of Cardinal Kasper’s comments about re-evaluating homosexual relationships we should be aware of the connection of prophesy and scripture in this regard. The Miracle of the Sun witnessed at Fatima on 13th October 1917, and the Chastisement spoken of on 13th October 1973 (the dates already link the two events and Cardinal Ratizinger confirmed Akita as a continuation of Fatima) Akita are linked as a prelude to a certain type of punishment not witnessed by humanity before. Further, this punishment is linked to the sin of Homosexuality in particular, as the sin crying out for God’s Justice, one might say the sin that tips the scales of God’s Justice.
Let us begin with the Great Miracle of the Sun on October 13, 1917, as reported by a witness…
“The sun’s disc did not remain immobile. This was not the sparkling of a, heavenly body, for it spun round on itself in a mad whirl. Then, suddenly, one heard a clamour, a cry of anguish breaking from all the people. The sun, whirling wildly, seemed to loosen itself from the firmament and advance threateningly upon the earth as if to crush us with its huge and fiery weight. The sensation during those moments was terrible.”
Now consider the message of Akita on October 13, 1973…
“As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and priests.”
The Rosary forms the basis of a response, a remedy even a forestalling of the chastisement similar to that theme described in the Book of Jonah or the intercession of Abraham in Genesis (surely there are many holy souls in each parish, Diocese, etc.?). However, Our Mother’s visits are tied in with Scripture, more particularly Elijah on Mount Carmel which also involves ‘fire’.
Consider the sin of Homosexuality and its shadow over the Family Synod in ‘October’ (that month again) and then consider Our Lady of Akita’s further comments after she reveals the nature of the chastisement…
“The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops…”
Now consider the punishment exacted for the sin of homosexuality in the Book of Genesis, recalling first that it is a sin which cries out for God’s Justice…
Genesis, Chapter 18, 20-21
20 Then the Lord said, ‘The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous 21 that I will go down and see if what they have done is as bad as the outcry that has reached me. If not, I will know.’
Then the punishment…
Genesis, Chapter 19, 23-25
23 By the time Lot reached Zoar, the sun had risen over the land. 24 Then the Lord rained down burning sulphur on Sodom and Gomorrah—from the Lord out of the heavens. 25 Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, destroying all those living in the cities—and also the vegetation in the land.
Now consider the fire called down from Heaven from Elijah and particularly the effect of the fire on the waterlogged sacrifice…
1 Kings 18
33 He arranged the wood, cut the bull into pieces and laid it on the wood. Then he said to them, “Fill four large jars with water and pour it on the offering and on the wood.”
34 “Do it again,” he said, and they did it again.
“Do it a third time,” he ordered, and they did it the third time. 35 The water ran down around the altar and even filled the trench.
36 At the time of sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and prayed: “Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command. 37 Answer me, Lord, answer me, so these people will know that you, Lord, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again.”
38 Then the fire of the Lord fell and burned up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones and the soil, and also licked up the water in the trench.
39 When all the people saw this, they fell prostrate and cried, “The Lord—he is God! The Lord—he is God!”
Notice the similarity with the people who witnessed the Miracle of the Sun at Fatima in October, 1917, who were drenched in rainwater before being made completely dry. That despite our sins, particularly the sin of homosexuality, God could purify us by this Chastisement, and in this regard notice that Elijah is connected to our response to the threat and indeed the era following the chastisement should it occur.
Our Lady appeared on the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel at Lourdes July 16th 1858 looking more beautiful than ever, a sign of what things will be like after our purification. At Fatima, Our Lady’s final appearance is as Our Lady of Mount Carmel showing us not only the way to respond to the threatened chastisement but a way of life after it. Thus, Our Lady of Mount Carmel offers us the Rosary and the Scapular to cement our union with God and which will achieve Peace for the world, in an age spoken of by St Louis de Monfort at the beginning of his Devotion to Mary, a new age of Marian saints like no other – that is to say the age of the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
England is connected to these times, the Dowry of Our Lady, was the scene of Our Lady’s visit to give the first scapular to St. Simon Stock on July 16th, 1251 anticipating future events of which we now live.
So October 2015 will determine our fate but meanwhile recourse to the Rosary, the Scapular and for those of us who attend to Our Lady of Fatima’s call for the five first Saturday devotion (had you started in May it forms five months prior to the Synod) will be pivotal in the outcome not only for the Church but for the world. It would be remiss not to go back to Our Lady of Akita who also added a vital remedy and it is not the least of them: ‘the sign left by my Son’ which without doubt is reference to the Eucharist envisaged by the dream of St. John Bosco.
Finally, consider that Five First Saturdays Devotion is linked to the five wounds to Mary’s Immaculate Heart which all link to Marriage and Family Life, and as indicated by Sister Lucia: the final confrontation with the Devil will be over Marriage and Family life.
Either we choose the fire of the Immaculate Heart of Mary which reflects God’s Mercy or we choose the fire of God’s Justice which will tip the scales back and fulfil the plan of the Immaculate Heart of Mary the hard way as is so often the case with stubborn and cold hearted humanity who had to see out World War II because many did not respond to Our Lady of Fatima.
All the scripture and prophesy point to this moment as decisive and if we feel a little afraid remember those good German Jesuit priests at Hiroshima – who saved them? Why were they saved? Well of course Mary, and their utter allegiance to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and her messages at Fatima. Our Lady showed the children of Fatima that terrible place called Hell, to which those souls who commit ‘sins of the flesh’ were present as Our Lady indicated, and we should spare a prayer for those who commit the sin of Homosexuality for ultimately it is the fire of Hell which shall fall upon them if they do not repent.
Editor comment: Just as we were preparing this article, information came to our attention of yet another insult to he Blessed Virgin Mary by a spokesman for the Synod. Eponymous Flower reports:
Bishop of Albano, Marcello Semeraro, secretary of the C9-Cardinal Advisors, after expressing “revulsion” at the letter of the 13 Cardinals who dissented from the Bergoglio agenda, said the following:
“There has to be more time to deepen the questions. The Church discussed for several centuries of the mother of God was conceived without sin […]. Moreover, there are dogmas, like the Immaculate Conception which are not as important to the concrete lives of people, about which we are talking in the Synod.”
Blow after blasphemous blow is being struck by these men against the Truth and against the Immaculate Mother of God. I believe that it is the mercy of Our Lady that is staying the hand of Justice in order for us to reach out to those who have so far refused to wake up to the danger. Let’s redouble our efforts to help bring Catholics back to the faith, back to Our Blessed Mother, who alone can bring us safely through this crisis.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy Kingdom come!
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.
St. Joseph, Patron of Families, Father of the Church, protect us.
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
