This is perhaps the most humiliating time ever to be a Catholic. Most of us, if the truth were told would prefer to be in the days of outright persecution rather than experience the humiliation and degradation of the faith brought to us by the homosexual predators who have destroyed so many souls and with them the holiness of the Church. This morning’s news reveals more arrogant unrepentant bishops exonerating themselves. They refuse to accept the blame! Over and over again, Catholics are heard making remarks like, “I am so sick!”, “I am heartbroken!” and worst of all, the plaintive cry, “Where is Jesus in all this?”
And yet we know, Jesus is right now in the midst of this, suffering with us. He endures this, as always, for the salvation of souls. All over the world, there are victims of these priests and bishops who have longed for just this moment when the crisis should come to light. Now their suffering is made manifest and those culpable will be revealed. Yes, this is a humiliating time, but by our humiliation, we are able to offer reparation for these horrid offenses.
And the blame needs to be laid at the “humble” feet of this hypocrite pope, who has promoted many of the Bishops even as he knew full well that they were active homosexuals who aided and abetted the ongoing predations of those entrusted to them.
Do you see that this scenario now playing out before us may be that prophesied by Saint Hildegard von Bingen (LINK):
And behold, there came suddenly a thunderbolt, which struck that head with such great force that it fell from the mountain and yielded up its spirit in death. And a reeking cloud enveloped the whole mountain, which wrapped the head in such filth that the people who stood by were thrown into the greatest terror.
For so long now, the faith has suffered assault after assault, and still the awful humiliation and degradation of the Church continues unabated. And yet we know that this is the providence of our dear Lord, who endures these sufferings to allow us the extra time for penance, and for the conversion of sinners. Think a moment, aren’t you much more aware of Our Lady’s message than you were five years ago? Don’t you know of people who have begun to awaken to the terrible crisis? We must remember that Our Lord is suffering far, far more than we are, and He is doing it, as He always does, for the salvation of souls. Let us not forsake Him now when He needs us so much!
From our earlier post (LINK), this seems appropriate today:
“And they realized they were no longer in Rome …”
St. John Bosco’s prophecy of the two pillars is fairly well known, but he also made another prophecy, which is related in the book by Rev. Gerald Culleton, “The Prophets and Our Times“:
“And to you, Rome, what will happen? Ungrateful Rome! Effeminate Rome! proud Rome! …
“Rome! To you I will come four times! The first time, I shall strike your lands and the inhabitants thereof. The second time, I shall bring the massacre and the slaughter even to your very walls. And will you not yet open your eyes I shall come a third time and I shall beat down to the ground your defenses and the defenders and at the command of the Father, the reign of terror, of dreadful fear and of desolation shall enter into your city.
“But My wise men have now fled and My law is even now trampled underfoot. Therefore I will make a fourth visit. Woe to you if My law shall still be considered as empty words. There will be deceit and falsehood among both the learned and the ignorant. Your blood and that of your children will wash away your stains upon God’s Law. War, pestilence and famine are the rods to scourge men’s pride and wickedness. O wealthy men, where is your glory now, your estates, your palaces? They are rubble on the highways and byways. …
“It was a dark night. Men could no longer tell which way to take in order to return to their homes. Of a sudden there appeared in the heavens a very bright light that illuminated the steps of the travelers as though it were mid-day. At that moment there was seen a host of men and women, of young and old, of nuns, monks and priests with the Holy Father at the head. They were going out from the Vatican and were arranging themselves in line for a procession. “Then there came a furious storm which clouded that light somewhat and made it appear that light and darkness were engaged in battle. In the meantime, they arrived at a little square covered with dead and wounded, some of whom cried aloud and asked for help.
“Very many were dropping out of the line of procession. After having walked for a time that would correspond to two hundred risings of the sun (200 days) they all realized that they were no longer in Rome. Struck with fear they all ran to the Holy Father to defend him personally and to attend his wants. Instantly two angels were seen carrying a banner, going they presented it to the Holy Father and said: ‘Receive the banner of He Who fights and scatters the strongest armies of the world. Your enemies are dispersed. Your children with tears and sighs beg you to return.’ “Looking at the banner one could see written on one side, ‘Queen conceived without sin,’ and on the other side, ‘Help of Christians.’
“The Holy Father joyfully took the banner, but looking closely at the small number of those who remained with him, he became very sad. “The two angels added: ‘Go quickly to console your children. Write your brothers dispersed throughout the world that there must be a reform in the morals of men. That cannot be obtained except by distributing to the people the bread of the Divine Word. Catechize the children. Preach the detaching of the heart from the things that are of the earth. The time has come,’ concluded the two angels, ‘when the poor shall evangelize the people. Vocations will come from among those working with the spade, the axe, and the hammer to the end that they fulfill the words of David: ‘God has raised up the poor from the land in order to place them on the thrones of the princes of His people.
“Having heard that, the Holy Father began the march. The farther he went the greater did the procession behind increase. When finally he set foot in the Holy City, he wept bitter tears for the distress in which he found the people and the large number now missing. As he entered St. Peter’s he intoned the ‘Te Deum’ to which a choir of angels replied singing: ‘Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to men of good will. “With the ending of the hymn, there came an end to the thick darkness and the sun shone with a brightness all its own. (From Rev. Gerald Culleton, The Prophets and Our Times, Kindle Edition, by KIC)
Just a few notes on this prophecy:
- As readers have suggested, perhaps this prophecy is about the next pope, which is a bracing thought.
- Note the mention of darkness, confusion, the impression that “light and darkness were engaged in battle.” An apt description of this current age of apostasy.
- When the Pope and those faithful to him left Rome (journeying to the peripheries perhaps?), they passed by faithful Catholics wounded and dying and took note of them, but there is no mention of offering them aid, is there?
- As the Pope advanced farther from Rome, very many dropped out. Seems to indicate that the farther the Pope gets from the true dogmas of the Faith, the less Catholics are inclined to follow, as we see in the grim statistics marking the withering “Springtime” of Vatican II.
- But the most significant portion of the prophecy is when the two angels appear to tell the Pope: ‘Receive the banner of He Who fights and scatters the strongest armies of the world. Your enemies are dispersed. Your children with tears and sighs beg you to return.’ “Looking at the banner one could see written on one side, ‘Queen conceived without sin,’ and on the other side, ‘Help of Christians.’ In this, as in his prophecy of the Two Pillars, St. John Bosco affirms that Christ the King prefers to conquer through means of His Most Blessed Mother. The banner of Christ the King bears two of her titles: The first, “conceived without sin” is of course, the Immaculate Conception and the second title is also very informative, Mary Help of Christians, Our Lady of Victory. That is her title for vanquishing the Muslims, which will be accomplished at her last apparition at Fatima to end the Islamist war on Christians.
“Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I will also keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon the whole world to try them that dwell upon the earth.” (From our recent post: Message to the Church at Philadelphia, LINK)
“Have in mind therefore in what manner thou hast received and heard: and observe, and do penance. If then thou shalt not watch, I will come to thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know at what hour I will come to thee.” (Apoc. 3,3).
