Rosary Novena for the Synod of Darkness

Belatedly, I offer our Rosary Novena post. I have been ill and unable to fulfill the demands of our blog and apologise. Many thanks to those kind enough to remind me! It is quite encouraging to see how many have been, on their own, contributing to an ongoing Rosary Crusade for our beleaguered Church under this latest and most determined attack by our false shepherd.

As one reader remarked, “I plan to just continue an extra Rosary a day plus adding a fast every Saturday in reparation, until this Pope converts or dies, as long as God grants me life.” My response was a heartfelt Amen.

The Rosary Novena was to have begun on August 13 and run until October 5, the eve of the Pan-Amazon Synod. And so if you have not begun, it is not too late to start, just continue on for the 54 days. The Synod will take place in Rome from October 6-28. The location is important, and situating it in Rome indicates that it is actually going to be applied to the universal Church, and not limited to the Amazon area.

To participate simply commit to one five decade Rosary each day for the intention of the triumph of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary in order to safeguard the Faith at the Synod.

On her sixth visit to Fatima,  Our Lady identified herself as Our Lady of the Rosary.  By claiming the title of Our Lady of the Rosary,  her title “Our Lady of Victory” was implied. For history is replete with her victories through her most Holy Rosary. (Here and here).

In earlier posts, for instance, “Fatima at 100, Presage of Victory”, we discussed that Christ the King prefers to triumph through the most Blessed Virgin Mary. In the vision of Saint John Bosco which begins with “It was a dark night”, the victory was foretold thus:

“. . . two angels were seen carrying a banner, going they presented it to the Holy Father and said: ‘Receive the banner of He Who fights and scatters the strongest armies of the world. Your enemies are dispersed. Your children with tears and sighs beg you to return.’ “Looking at the banner one could see written on one side, ‘Queen conceived without sin,’ and on the other side, ‘Help of Christians.’

This tells us that while the Church is in darkness, Heaven wins the battle and brings the banner of that Victory to the Holy Father, (which of course, implies that the pope at that time is actually holy!).

Now what do we note about this banner? It is the banner of Christ the King! “He who fights and scatters the strongest armies in the world”. The angels tell him, “Your enemies are dispersed.” And so we see that the Sacred Hearts will at at last intervene once sufficient reparation has been made.

That is to say that Christ the King (“He who fights and scatters the strongest armies in the world”) fights under the banner of the Blessed Virgin Mary, represented by her two primary devotions, her Immaculate Conception of Mary and Our Lady of Victory, which implies Our Lady of the Rosary, for that is how she won us the victory at Lepanto and on other occasions.

We know Our Lady has already given us the keys to victory – her Rosary and devotion to her Immaculate Heart. The ancient enemy that is now within the heart of our Church can only be defeated by Our Lady of the Rosary, Victorious in Battle.

One way we can contribute to Our Lady’s Victory is to pray the Rosary Novena to her as Our Lady of Victory.

Our Lady of Victory, crush satan’s head & lead us to victory!
Our Lady of the Rosary, save our families, save the Church!

For those of you already praying your rosaries for the defense of the Church,  I suggest just adding the Rosary Novena Prayer or the Victory Novena Prayer. Both prayers are included below.

The following Novena prayer is for a Novena of Rosaries, that is usually prayed as 54 days of the 5 decade Rosary, which breaks down to 27 days of petition followed by 27 days of thanksgiving.  This is actually a concession. A Novena is nine days, and originally the Novena was nine days of the full Rosary, that is 15 decades a day for nine days of petition followed by another nine days of 15 decade rosaries in thanksgiving even though the prayers may not have achieved their goal yet, but trusting in God’s providence.

But because many people felt that they could only commit to a five decade Rosary each day, the Novena became 54 days.  You will know what is best for you.

This 54 day Rosary Novena has become popular as the Irresistible Rosary Novena for the remarkable blessings that come from it and I urge readers to pray for the Pope and hierarchy in this time before the Synod begins.  The repugnance we all feel towards this pope and his wrecking crew should only provide more impetus for us to pray the more earnestly for God to turn their hearts. Remember, our prayers are never wasted! God sees that we pray obediently and will reward the Church in His own way and in His own time. And so we pray with joyful trust!

Our Lady Of The Rosary Novena Prayer

Dearest Lady, Queen of the most Holy Rosary, from Calvary’s cross, thy dear Son entrusted us to thy care. Behold thy weak and sinful children in supplication at thy feet. We beg thee, accept this Holy Rosary, offered for the glory of God, in reparation for the offenses to thine Immaculate Heart and to the Sacred and Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, for the salvation of sinners and for the special intention: The Triumph of thine Immaculate Heart and the restoration of the Faith.

Please, dear Mother, place these poor prayers in the chalice of thine Immaculate Heart and offer them to Jesus. Conscious of our own unworthiness, we trust in thine Immaculate Heart, the fountain of infinite mercy. Amen.

Our Lady of Victory Prayer

V. Pray for us, O Blessed Lady of Victory!
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let Us Pray.

O Victorious Lady! Thou who hast ever such powerful influence with Thy Divine Son in conquering the hardest of hearts, intercede for our Church leaders who have apostasised that their hearts may be softened by the rays of Divine Grace, and that they may repent and return to the unity of the true Faith, through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

†  Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of our hearts, Mother of the Church, do thou offer to the Eternal Father the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, for the conversion of poor sinners, especially our Pontiff.
†  Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy kingdom come! Viva Cristo Rey!
†  O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse thee!
†  St. Joseph, protect us, protect our families, protect our priests.
†  St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.

Please pray for the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary!

~ by evensong for love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, King.
Vouchsafe that I may praise thee, O Sacred Virgin! Give me strength against thine enemies!

It is against our policy to allow links, but we will do so this time albeit with a warning:
petitions are often simply a ploy to engage readers into divulging their emails in order to solicit for funds.
I am not saying that this is the case here, but it has been the case in an overwhelming number of cases.

To all readers: Although I allow this link, you should use discretion regarding online petitions.

    Dear Evensong,
I already started the 54 day Novena. So badly needed in this time of the fulfillment of the 3rd part of the Fatima secret. How can we not believe that what Our Most Holy Mother said would happen to the Faith after Vatican II would not happen when all other aspects that she predicted in Her Fatima messages have happened?! Please , EVERYONE, pray this Novena with the Rosary and prayers that Evensong has included. Praying for you, too, Evensong, for a return to good health. We need your posts in this time of , as Sr. Lúcia said, diabolical disorientation. God bless you!

Thank you dear! Father brought me Viaticum and gave me the Apostolic Blessing the last visit but I was able to attend Holy Mass this evening for Our Lady’s beautiful feast. Truly, all is a blessing.
I should stop trying to keep up Return to Fatima but it feels like failure every time I quit – like I am giving up on helping Our Lady. Even what little I can do is still something and she can make a silk purse out of my silly sow’s ear if she chooses!

In reply to Colleen and others who ask. I have been seriously ill for some years, but the progression is as slow as it is inexorable. I am not in the last stages, however.
It is actually a great blessing, illness, loss and suffering are great tools for Divine Providence to correct us. They must be welcomed as the blessings they are.
I should not have spoken of myself, and will not do so again.
God bless and keep you close,
