Arrupe’s Pope

NOTE: Hurricane Irma  appears to be aiming at Florida. This has the potential to harm millions of people.  For those who would like to, here is the link to our Family Prayer in Time of Storm.  Or simply please include the victims of Hurricane Harvey and those in the path of Hurricane Irma in your daily Rosaries. Thank you!

In an interview with Maike Hickson (Lifesite News), George Neumayr, discussing his new book about Jorge Bergoglio, “The Political Pope”, remarked about Pope Francis and his relationship with Pedro Arrupe, Superior General of the Jesuits::

“He was a protege of Arrupe, who identified Bergoglio as a rising liberal star in the order. That is why he made him a provincial at the age of 36. Arrupe presided over the order during its most intense period of liberalization and used Bergoglio as a liberal enforcer at the infamous worldwide gathering of Jesuits in 1975 that sealed the order’s socialist and modernist direction.”

That remark tells us some very significant things. To understand it better, let’s look at what Father Malachi Martin told us about the Jesuits, his own order, in his book, “The Jesuits, the Society of Jesus and the Betrayal of the Roman Catholic Church”.

In this book, which is understandably the most bitter by far of his books, Father Martin explains in great detail the origins and original purpose of the Society of Jesus founded by St. Ignatius of Loyola. He then provides an exhaustive history of the Society’s change under Pedro Arrupe and its ongoing revolution against the Catholic Faith and particularly against the papacy.  Unfortunately, this article must be brief and thus will only have time for a few extracts. Father Martin’s “The Jesuits” is very worthwhile reading to understand the full implications of this Jesuit Pope, our first dedicated Marxist Pope completely obedient to the ideals set forth by Arrupe.

As you read, please keep in mind Our Lady of Fatima’s warning, which we discussed in an earlier post (“If … if not”):

“If My requests are heeded, Russia will be converted and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions against the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated. In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph.”

In his book, Father Martin describes how the Jesuits, under the control of Father General Pedro Arrupe constructed a Trojan Horse with which to subvert the Church from Vatican II onwards, making use of the fervor for “renewal” to achieve Arrupe’s vision for the Church. That they have succeeded beyond anyone’s wildest dreams is undeniable, and the proof is that even Malachi Martin did not foresee the monstrosity we are faced with today, a truly Jesuit pope in the very mold of Father Arrupe himself.

Neumayr identified the Jesuit gathering in 1975 as a seminal point. Malachi tells us about the importance of that time in his book, The Jesuits.

It was Paul VI who, very late in the day of his papacy, realized that the original dual purpose of the Society of Jesus had been changed. Under his pontificate, an extensive critical dossier about the Society was compiled. It is enough for the moment to say of that dossier that its contents were damning. It was a portrait, in effect, of a Jesuit Order that, like a weathervane atop a roof, had been turned by a different wind. For Jesuits, the papacy no longer held primacy of position. The corporate aim of the Society was now to place itself and the Church at the disposal of a radical and purely sociopolitical change in the world, without reference to –  indeed, in defiance of – papal strategy, policies, and aims. (op cit, p. 42)

Paul did make one last but equally ineffective attempt to recall the allegiance of the Society to the papacy during the ninety-six-day international assembly of Jesuit leaders, the 32nd General Congregation of 1974-1975. His effort met with total incomprehension and stubborn— some said even self-righteous— opposition from the Order. Pope and Jesuits simply could not agree. The Jesuits would not obey. Paul was too weak to force the issue farther.

The Jesuit response was typified by Father M. Buckley:“When you have people [the Jesuits] who do not think they have made errors either in content or procedure, and when they are suspected, resisted or reproved by the very man they are attempting to serve . . . you have . . . a very serious religious problem.”  Indeed, a very serious problem, because within six years  “Arrupism” controlled all Major Superiors in Rome and throughout the Provinces, as well as most of the leading Jesuit theologians, writers, and social activists.

In hindsight, it was merely the beginning of problems. Paul VI was  declining in health, a fact that was duly noted by Arrupe’s forces who were well versed in in the finer points of romanità. Martin states brutally of this poor pope, “His grand strategy for his Church was taken over and prostituted by others, reducing him to an impotence that scarred his last disease-ridden years until his death on August 6, 1978.”

Now, 1978 is an interesting and eventful year, as we shall see. Paul VI was followed by Albino Luciani, who took the conciliatory name of John Paul I. Malachi Martin describes his relation with the Jesuits thusly:

Even before he became Pope, he had apparently made up his mind unfavorably about the Society. And apparently the Society had already made up its mind about Pope John Paul I. No sooner had he been elected than the Jesuits asserted themselves.

Father Vincent O’Keefe*, the most prominent of the four General Assistants to Arrupe, and the one being groomed to succeed Arrupe one day as Father General of the Order, told a Dutch newspaper in an interview that the new Pope should reconsider the Church’s ban on abortion, homosexuality, and priesthood for women. The interview was published.

Pope John Paul I was incensed. This was more than contempt. It was an assertion that the Society of Jesus knew better than the Pope what morals Catholics should practice. And it was an assertion that the Society had the authority to speak out; that is, it was a direct appropriation of the authority that belonged exclusively to the papacy.

John Paul I summoned Arrupe and demanded an explanation. Arrupe humbly promised to look into the whole matter. But John Paul could read the handwriting on the wall as clearly as any Pope. On the basis of Paul VI’s critical dossier, …, the Pope composed a hard-hitting speech of warning. He planned to deliver it to the international assembly of Jesuit leaders and Father General Arrupe at another of their General Congregations to be held in Rome on September 30, 1978.

John Paul I never got to give that speech to the Jesuits, for he was found dead in his bed the morning of September 29.

Return for a moment to the Neumayr interview. Link here. I am not able to delineate for you the excellent points made by Neumayr in his interview with Maike Hickson but trust you will make use of it, for he demonstrates, by Bergoglio’s own words, the warm regard in which Jorge Bergoglio holds the many Marxists he has been associated with; for example:

  • He told the Italian press that he wasn’t “offended” if people call him a communist since he has “met many Marxists in my life who are good people.”
  • He appointed Óscar Rodríguez Maradiaga to his Council of advisors.  It came out through the WikiLeaks disclosures that Maradiaga has been working with George Soros operatives to promote socialism in the Church.
  • Others: Leonardo Boff, Fr. Luís Espinal, Esther Ballestrino – “I owe a huge amount to that great woman”, Leónidas Barletta,  Archbishop Óscar Romero and Dom Hélder Câmara.

Malachi Martin ended his book on the Jesuits by speculating that the order may be suppressed by a future pope, may reform itself miraculously recovering its original Ignatian spirituality, or failing that, God may intervene, for it is after all,  His Society, named after Him.  But Martin did not anticipate the Jesuits putting their own man into the papacy. By doing so, they appear to be forcing God’s hand.

It becomes clear that Russia’s errors, dialectical materialism, marxism, have spread throughout the world and to the top of the Church hierarchy, now possessing the Pope.  And yet, many people are now sacrificing and praying, obedient to Our Lady of Fatima’s request. Recently, this Pope identified himself as the “Bishop in white” of the Fatima prophecy.  What was he telling us?

Several disparate elements seem to be coming together now. Never has the world been so poised at the brink of global catastrophe as we are now. And the vast majority of the population is so far beyond Christian that  if asked if God is dead, they would shrug and remark that the question was irrelevant to them.

My point in writing this is simply to note that events seem to be lining up in a specific way and it may be appropriate to draw our conclusions accordingly.  Personally, I am beginning to conclude that there is little to be gained, by trying to convince others. I have been attempting that for the past 4-5 years with diminishing success.

Pray the Rosary !

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of our hearts, Mother of the Church, do thou offer to the Eternal Father the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, for the conversion of poor sinners, especially our Pontiff.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy kingdom come! Viva Cristo Rey!
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death.
St. Joseph, protect us, protect our families, protect our priests.
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.

Please pray for the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary!

~ by evensong for love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, King.
Vouchsafe that I may praise thee, O Sacred Virgin! Give me strength against thine enemies!

A Lesson in Obedience

This just came in and it is so encouraging that I wanted to post it right away. From  FSSPX News.

Act of Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

AUGUST 21, 2017

On August 20, Bishop Bernard Fellay, Superior General recited this act of consecration along with Bishop Bernard Tissier de Mallerais and Bishop Alfonso de Galarreta, auxiliary bishops of the Society of Saint Pius X during a international pilgrimage gathering more than 10.000 faithful from all over the world.

Prostrate at the foot of your throne of grace, O Queen of the Holy Rosary, we intend to accomplish, insofar as we are able, the requests you expressed when you came one hundred years ago to appear to us on this earth.

The abominable sins of the world, the persecutions directed against the Church of Jesus Christ, and even more, the apostasy of nations and Christian souls, and the forgetfulness of so many of your motherhood of grace crush your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, so united in its compassion with the sufferings of the Sacred Heart of your divine Son.

In order to repair so many crimes, You have asked for the establishment of the devotion of reparation to your Immaculate Heart; and in order to stop the scourges of God you predicted, you became the messenger of the Most High to ask the Vicar of Jesus Christ, together with all the bishops of the world, to consecrate Russia to your Immaculate Heart. Alas, they have not yet heeded your message.

Therefore, in anticipation of the happy Day when the Sovereign Pontiff finally accedes to the demands of your divine Son, without attributing to ourselves an authority that is not ours, but with a humble supplication to your Immaculate Heart, as a Catholic bishop full of concern for the fate of the universal Church, and in union with all the bishops, priests, and faithful believers, we have resolved to respond to the best of our ability to Heaven’s requests.

Deign, therefore, O Mother of God, to accept the solemn act of reparation that We present to your Immaculate Heart for all the offenses with which, along with the Sacred Heart of Jesus, it is afflicted by sinners and by ungodly men.

Secondly, as far as it is in our power, we give, deliver, and consecrate Russia to your Immaculate Heart: we beg you, in your motherly mercy, to take this nation under your powerful protection, make it your domain in which you may reign as Sovereign, make this land of persecution a land of choice and blessing.

We conjure you to submit this nation to yourself so completely that, converted from her legal godlessness, she may become a new kingdom for Our Lord Jesus Christ, a new legacy for His sweet scepter. And that converted from her ancient schism, she may return to the unity of the one fold of the Eternal Shepherd, and thus subject to the Vicar of your divine Son, she may become an ardent apostle of the Social Kingship of Our Lord Jesus Christ over all the nations of the earth.

We also beseech thee, O Mother of Mercy, by this most splendid miracle of your suppliant omnipotence, to manifest to the world the truth of your universal mediation of grace.

And lastly, deign, O Queen of Peace, to bring to the world the peace that the world cannot give, peace of weapons and peace of souls, the peace of Christ in the Kingdom of Christ and the Kingdom of Christ through the reign of your Immaculate Heart, O Mary. Amen.

The Dragon, the Beast from the Sea and the False Prophet

Sister Lucia of Fatima encouraged us to read Chapters 8-13 of the Apocalypse if we would understand the message of Fatima. That is, she implied that the message is Apocalyptic. And indeed,  we see ourselves, not without a bit of fright, caught up in an unprecedented rush of events that seem to be sweeping the entirety of Christian civilization away, and increasingly replacing the Church with something strange and hideous.

Today, we refer to The Whole Truth About Fatima, Volume III by Frere Michel de la Trinite and will also refer to the writings of Father Herman Bernard Kramer’s Book of Destiny and Father Sylvester Berry’s Apocalypse of St. John. Links will be found in notes at  end of post.

The Message of Fatima is usually broken into three “Secrets”, which are not a sequence, but rather, like the Apocalypse are inter-related. Hence the First Secret, represented by the vision of hell, forms a basis for the remainder. So we begin by considering this First Secret in the light of the Apocalypse as Sister Lucia indicated.

When she showed the children the brief but intense vision of hell, Our Lady solemnly remarked,

“You have seen hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart.”

This apocalyptic vision of the sea of fire sets the stage for the battle between the dragon, the ancient enemy who bears an implacable hatred for the Woman, that is the Virgin who, he knows, will vanquish him. The Apocalypse is the beautiful story of the triumph of this Immaculate Virgin, full of the grace and love of God,  over Satan, full of the darkness and hatred of the denial of God.  This battle of Hell against heaven, of Satan against the Virgin, of hatred against the love and truth of God, this is the basis of the message of Fatima, the battle for souls.

Now, the Second Secret involves the First beast, that is, the Beast from the Sea. As we have discussed earlier, Satan always ever mocks God, and has his own diabolic mockery of the most Holy Trinity, that is, the Dragon as the Father, the Beast from the Sea as the Son and the Second Beast, the Beast from the earth, as the Holy Ghost. Thus, all the diabolical trinity are actually one, as are all the Holy Trinity. Also note that the First Secret may be said to represent Satan himself in his implacable hatred for God and for God’s most blessed creature, the Immaculata, Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ. And so we see that the Second Secret will show us the working of the First Beast. This First Beast, from the “Sea”, is atheistic marxism, the error of Russia, but also the error of all the nations which comprise the “Sea” of the Prince of the World.  Thus, the Second Secret is about the material chastisement,  the wars and plagues that arise from the evil machinations of the Beast from the Sea. The last part of the Secret, that is, the Third Secret is regarding the Second Beast, the False Prophet who reigns through the spiritual chastisement, attempting to set up the reign of Satan within the Church.

This first Beast, then, is the political power – supreme and totalitarian, impious and persecuting the Church. We have been seeing this power spread out all over the earth in this past century as the only power which could stop it, that is, a Pope humbly obedient to the Mother of God, refused to use the spiritual graces and power given to him, preferring instead to “combat” it by earthly diplomacy and other such  trivial and useless means.

Cardinal Burke and Dismas

“But the fruit of the Spirit is, charity, joy, peace, patience, benignity, goodness, longanimity, mildness, faith, modesty, continency, chastity. Against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s, have crucified their flesh, with the vices and concupiscences. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.  Let us not be made desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.”  (Galatians 5, 22)

As noted in earlier posts, the increasing contentiousness of several popular personalities has been disheartening and has caused me to re-examine my own methods and goals for this site.  This post is intended to be the conclusion.

All of us agree that these are terribly confusing times. We have lost our confidence in the clear and consistent teaching of the Church.  Faithful Christians have always had to be alert against the wiles of the devil and the dangers of the world around them, as well as on guard against our own weak natures. Today, the threats to our souls often arise within the Church.  And even those we rely on as traditional Catholics seem to be misled and even mislead others.  And so we are at danger of becoming embittered.  But that very bitterness indicates a lack of trust in Our Lord’s providence.

I thought it was  encouraging when Cardinal Burke called for the Pope to Consecrate Russia. Others were thorough in documenting the Cardinal’s shortcomings.  Cardinal Burke is certainly a Conciliar prelate, and thus falls very short of the ideal. And so I asked myself, well, what do you expect? Considering the shambles of the Church today,  where will we find the ideal Bishops, the worthy Pope? Perhaps we may be expected to work with the quality that is available, just as Our Lord Jesus Christ demonstrated with Dismas.

For He Himself canonised Dismas with His dying breath.  Dismas is each of us; Our Lord accepts our intention to turn from sin and do His will even when it is merely a weak intention. He sees into our hearts and grants us the necessary grace. Why not treat Cardinal Burke with charity while affirming the truth and supporting him by prayers and sacrifices!

We prayed for a prelate to ask for the Consecration of Russia. God has given us Cardinal Burke and it seems ungrateful to reject him and demand a better one.  Souls are being lost. This is not justifying or covering up for errors on the Cardinal’s part, but I hope that this is a sign that many more prayers and sacrifices are called for if we are to obtain the Consecration.

It is possible that other  Bishops and Cardinals may be observing the harsh condemnations that Cardinal Burke has garnered by his attempt to  support the message of Fatima and now may be discouraged from supporting the call for Consecration. For how can they not think, “It would do me no good to risk the retaliation of the Pope, since traditional Catholics are sure to condemn me anyway.”

It seems that Our Lord is letting us know that our prayers are heard but that much more is expected of us! For my part, I am grateful for anyone among the Church’s hierarchy who will obey Our Lady and I will do my best to support all of them in hopes that they will repent, be converted and finally obey Our Lady, because that is the only way that the Chastisement can be ended: It will end when sufficient reparation is made or if needs be, when sufficient reparation has been exacted of us. We will either learn to work together to achieve this or we will suffer ever more greatly.

Lastly, I have not written on the celestial signs, because Pat Archbold and Marianna Bartold have done excellent jobs. But do take note of the signs. You know that God is just.  So watch and pray. And do all things in love, for in the end, we will be judged in love.

Pray the Rosary with confidence and joy!

St. Joseph and the Message of Fatima

On her fourth visit to the children at Fatima, August 19, 1917, Our Lady told Jacinta, Francisco and Lucia,  “In the last month, I will work a miracle so that all will believe. … Saint Joseph will come with the Child Jesus, to give peace to the world.”

That promise is perhaps the most overlooked aspect of Fatima, don’t you think? How little attention has been paid to it! The actual vision of St. Joseph on October 13, 1917 was brief and of course, silent but there is a very serious message implied as we shall see..

During the Miracle of the Sun, while the crowd was enthralled, Lúcia, Francisco and Jacinta were privileged to see a tableau representing the Mysteries of the Rosary. The first scene, representing the Joyful Mysteries was seen by all three children.as Lúcia describes,

“We saw, beside the sun, Saint Joseph with the Child Jesus and Our Lady clothed in white with a blue mantle. Saint Joseph and the Child Jesus seemed to bless the world with gestures which they made with their hands in the form of a cross.” (Sister Lucia of Fatima)

St. Joseph, defender of the faith, defender of families, pray for us!

This little-noted event tells us so much! Even as the miracle of the sun is occurring, St. Joseph appears, holding the Child Jesus and both bless the world., while from the other side of the sun, the Blessed Mother looks on, benignly. This tableau of the Holy Family reminds us that God, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, entrusted the Child Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary  to St. Joseph, thus creating this perfect  family, model for all families. Indeed, God’s wisdom entrusted the Holy Family to the quiet man, and now, at Fatima, he is revealed to us, to bless us and give us peace in this time prefigured by the miracle of the sun.

At the miracle of the sun, the earth stood firm while the sun moved erratically. How can this be?  And yet it happened. Since the Sun represents the Church, we ask, how can the Church, established by Christ become so erratic as it is today, under Pope Francis? How do we reconcile that the gates of hell will not prevail and the Holy Ghost will always guide her, with what we now see? St. Joseph solved a similar conundrum and he stands ready to help us now.

Matthew 1, 18-25 tells of Joseph’s dilemma and its resolution. His example of humility and steadfastness is precisely the example for us today. Faithful Catholics are torn today between the temptation to abandon the church, or to go along with the errors of the new Bergoglian Reformed Church.

Politics and the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Today we consider a neglected aspect of devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, that is, its political aspect.  For this essay, I am indebted to a favorite author, Solange Hertz.  In her book, “Utopia Nowhere“,  Solange Hertz proves the importance of the political aspect in a most elegant manner, beginning with her assertion that devotion to the Sacred Heart was established on Golgotha when the Roman Centurion Longinus plunged his lance into the Heart of Jesus, the Heart of “The King of the Jews”, as Pilate’s notice proclaimed.

Longinus, the official representative of the ruling power, thereby performed a political act which stands to this day as a necessary reminder of the battle between the dark powers that rule this world and the power of Christ the King:

Devotion to His Sacred Heart is therefore no sentimental devotion to be pursued only in private. Essentially, it is a political commitment. The Sacred Heart of Christ the King is source and center of the Christian state, human manifestation of the divine Monarchy from which all monarchy takes its name. Its temporal dimensions extend into eternity. Only when viewed from this perspective can the true purpose of Sacred Heart devotion be discerned. Otherwise it is simply a super-excellent practice among many others designed by God to bring the individual into greater intimacy with Him.

Sacred Heart devotion does this, to be sure, but its objective is ultimately and fundamentally political in the real sense of the word politics. It was forged by the divine Wisdom to bring not only the individual, but whole nations into intimacy with God. [Utopia Nowhere].

Although devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus was evident throughout the long history of the Church, and especially in the lives of many of the mystics of the Church in the Middle Ages, it was not until Our Lord’s revelations to the Visitation nun, Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque in 1689 that we began to see the vigorous political thrust of the Sacred Heart.  From Hertz:

The substance of our Lord’s message had been conveyed in six letters written by St. Margaret Mary, five of them to her former Superior, Mother de Saumaise, and the last one to her Jesuit spiritual director, Fr. Croiset. The second letter, dated June 17, 1689, begins by speaking of some great political designs of our Lord:

Behold this Heart which has so loved men…

… which can be executed only by His almighty power … It seems to me He wishes to enter with pomp and magnificence into the homes of princes and kings so as to be honored there to the same degree that He was outraged, despised and humiliated in His Passion, and to receive as much pleasure on seeing the world’s great ones reduced and humbled before Him as He felt bitterness on seeing Himself reduced to nothing at their feet.

And here are the words I heard regarding our King: ‘Inform the eldest son of My Sacred Heart that … he will secure his birth into grace and glory by the consecration he will make of himself to My adorable Heart … and through his mediation, that of the great ones of the earth. He (the Sacred Heart) wishes to reign in his palace, to be painted on his standards and to be graven on his arms to render them victorious over all his enemies, by bringing these proud, arrogant heads under his heel and effect his triumph over all the enemies of the Church.’

There were other requests. In the saint’s fifth letter, dated August 28 of the same year, she says our Lord desired a building to be erected in which would be displayed an image of the divine Heart, to which the King and his entire court would formally consecrate themselves. The King, furthermore, chosen by our Lord as “His faithful friend,” was to ensure that a special Mass in His honor would be authorized by the Holy See and a formal cultus established.

In return the King was promised divine protection against his “enemies, both visible and invisible.” It is now known that these invisible enemies were the occult forces of Freemasonry set into motion by the “merchants of light.” Already they had crossed the Channel from England and were gathering strength in France. And speaking of channels, our Lord made it clear that the Jesuit Fr. de la Chaize, Louis XIV’s confessor, had been chosen by God to see to the execution of His designs.

The Role of the Jesuits

St Margaret Mary explained, “By virtue of the power He had given him [Father de la Chaize], over the heart of our great King, the success of the matter depended on him.” And yet, incredibly, even Jesuit scholars have determined that Fr. de la Chaize never relayed Our Lord’s message to the King.  Hertz suggests that it was Jesuit obedience that withheld him, as it is known that the Father General, Fr. Thyrsus Gonzalez de Santalla was hostile to devotion to the Sacred Heart, as it is documented that he censured and banished  Father Croiset, St. Margaret Mary’s devout confessor for having written an account of the revelations.

To what can we describe such a thing? It seems another instance of the workings of the mystery of iniquity. Thus, the devotion so dear to Our Lord was allowed to languish, and the cause was simply obedience to disobedience. This has worked so well for the ancient enemy, sad to say.

Hertz affirms that the tradition of the French Visitation nuns holds it for certain that Louis XIV did nevertheless learn of the desires of the Sacred Heart through other sources. We know that Louis XIV was already privately practicing the devotion as preached by St. John Eudes, to whom he had allocated 2000 pounds for France’s first chapel to be dedicated to the Sacred Heart. Hertz is certain that the King would have, as piety dictated, submitted St. Margaret Mary’s requests to his spiritual director for approval, with a view to acting on them, but it is clear that no approval was given. Once again, obedience to those who are disobedient to Christ.

In her essay, Hertz stresses an important point, “The divine communications had been directed to Louis XIV’s person [as Monarch], but not to him as an individual. Had this been the case the extraordinary means used would have been entirely disproportionate. It was Louis as King who was addressed.” What we are to understand from this is that God made a request of the French Monarch, not a personal request to one single person, King Louis XIV, but to the French Monarchy to re-establish the ancient and sacred compact between the French Monarchy and the Church. instituted by King Clovis. Let’s delve a bit deeper here, for this has significance for us today.

Fr. Bainvel, theologian of the Sacred Heart, writes:

“The three objects of the message [of the Sacred Heart]: the church, the consecration, the flag are by their very nature national, durable and perpetual; the triumph over the enemies of God and the Church resulting from the accomplishment of the message is even more national, inasmuch as it involves the whole future of France and her providential Catholic mission, her vocation and her raison d’ être.”

In the person of the King all his successors and the nation itself are addressed. The entire court was to take part in the consecration. God’s gifts being without repentance, no time limit was set, and presumably God still waits. Thus, we see that Our Lord Jesus Christ still awaits the obedience of the French Monarch to His demands, as He awaits the obedience of the Pope and Bishops to the demands of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, His most Beloved Mother.

Why the King of France?

July 13, 1917

Part I

It was in the torrid month of July, the month of the Precious Blood of Jesus, one hundred years ago today, that Our Lady of Fatima visited the little shepherds for the third time. The immense importance of this visit cannot be overestimated, for at this time, the Blessed Virgin revealed her Message for the World. We take the following account from “The Whole Truth About Fatima, Volume I”, by Frère Michel de la Sainte Trinité. This volume is available to download free from www.archive.org.

At the Cova da Iria on July 13, 1917, a crowd estimated at between one and two thousand were gathered. Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta knelt before the scrubby little holm oak where Our Lady appeared. In her account, Lúcia relates that in answer to her question, “What does Your Grace want of me?”, Our Lady replied,

“I want you to come here on the 13th of next month, and to continue praying the Rosary every day in honour of Our Lady of the Rosary, in order to obtain peace for the world and the end of the war, because only She can help you.”

When Lúcia asked her to perform a miracle so that all would believe, Our Lady responded,

“Continue to come here every month. In October, I will tell you who I am and what I want, and I will perform a miracle for all to see and believe.”

Our Lady continued,

“Sacrifice yourselves for sinners, and say many times, especially when you make some sacrifice: ‘O Jesus, it is for love of You, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary’ “.

From Lúcia’s account,

Hell, where the souls of poor sinners go... Pray for them ...
Hell, where the souls of poor sinners go…
Pray for them …

“As Our Lady spoke these last words, She opened Her hands once more, as She had done during the two previous months. The rays of light seemed to penetrate the earth, and we saw as it were a sea of fire. Plunged in this fire were demons and souls in human form, like transparent burning embers, all blackened or burnished bronze, floating about in the conflagration, now raised into the air by the flames that issued from within themselves together with great clouds of smoke, now falling back on every side like sparks in huge fires, without weight or equilibrium, amid shrieks and groans of pain and despair, which horrified us and made us tremble with fear. (It must have been this sight which caused me to cry out, as people say they heard me.) The demons could be distinguished by their terrifying and repellent likeness to frightful and unknown animals, black and transparent like burning coals.”

Here, in her Third Memoir, Sister Lúcia added: “This vision only lasted a moment, thanks to our good Mother in Heaven who, in the first apparition, had promised to take us to Heaven. Were it not for that, I believe we would have died out of fright and fear.”

Terrified and as if to plead for succour, we looked up at Our Lady, who said to us, so kindly and so sadly:

“You have seen hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart.”

“If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace. The war is going to end, but if people do not cease offending God, a worse one will break out during the reign of Pius XI.

“When you see a night illumined by an unknown light, know that this is the great sign given you by God that He is about to punish the world for its crimes, by means of war, famine and persecutions against the Church and the Holy Father.

“To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to My Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturdays.

“If My requests are heeded, Russia will be converted and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions against the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated.

“In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to Me, and she will be converted, and a certain period of peace will be granted to the world.

“In Portugal, the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved, etc. [This marks the third part of the secret, not yet not revealed] Do not tell this to anybody. Francisco, yes, you may tell him.

“When you say the Rosary, say after each mystery: ‘O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fire of hell. Lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who are most in need.’ “

While this was going on, Ti Marto relates, the crowd was so silent that you could have heard a pin drop. And, like Maria Carreira and some other witnesses, Mr. Marto, who was very near the seers, perceived an unintelligible murmur: “then I began to hear a sound, a little buzzing rather like a mosquito in an empty bottle. But I couldn’t hear any words!” This mysterious murmur was heard by only a few witnesses.

However, two other unusual phenomena were noticed by a much greater number: The luminosity of the sky noticeably decreased, as during an eclipse, the whole time the ecstasy of the children lasted. At the same time, the temperature, which was very hot, went down noticeably, and the tint of the light was modified. The atmosphere became yellow as gold.

In addition, a whitish cloud, rather pleasant to look at, formed around the seers. Here is the testimony of Mr. Marto:

The Truth of the Lord Endures Forever

As a result of the canonization of Francisco and Jacinta, the little saints of Fatima, we are seeing a beautiful torrent of graces from heaven. Years ago, when he was asked why no pope has Consecrated Russia, Father Malachi Martin said that it was because grace was not given to them, essentially because not enough faithful have obeyed Our Lady’s request for rosaries and reparation, especially the First Saturdays.  But we have been working, all of us who heed the true message of Fatima, and consequently, we have had the Church’s Canonization of the youngest Fatima saints. Our Lady had already “canonized” them, in her promise that she would take them to heaven soon; but when the pope gave the Church’s approval, I believe that heaven smiled on us all and has shown us mercy in Cardinal Burke’s effort towards fulfilling Our Lady’s request.

Please, more than ever, offer your fasting, penances and rosaries – and Eucharistic adoration if possible! For the success of the very brave initiative of Cardinal Burke and the wonderful Catholics of Voice of the Family.  I will not reprint it all here when it is so well done at Lifesite News, but please follow these links  if you have not already:

Cardinal Burke Calls for Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

We are witnessing St. John Paul II’s prophesy of an ‘anti-Church’: Catholic priest

Dear readers, you have endured so many of my posts, bemoaning the tragic state of the hierarchy today, and now, at last, we have begun to see some really hopeful actions! But if we do not support them with our renewed prayers and sacrifices, how will they sustain this brave effort?

Just a few days ago, this pope canonized Saint Francisco Marto  and Saint Jacinta Marto of Fatima. He was unable to do it however, without perverting the message of Fatima and even taking a slap at Our Lady afterwards.   But in response to this canonization, Heaven has showered graces and we are now blessed with a true miracle, which I believe has come from Jacinta and Francisco themselves. These humble little saints never missed an opportunity to make reparation for sinners, to beg for their conversion and to pray for the Pope.

And now, Cardinal Burke and those who support him,  at last are calling for the Pope to obey Our Lady of Fatima – to Consecrate Russia, to promote the First Saturdays of Reparation, to promote the Brown Scapular. This is the miracle of grace we have been praying and offering penance for. Please support this brave initiative with all your hearts and do not fail to thank God and our newest saints of Fatima – Jacinta and Francisco! – for this generous blessing.

What will be the Society’s Response?

We must also pray that Bishop Fellay and the SSPX stand with Cardinal Burke and these others who are calling for the Consecration of Russia and the First Saturdays. For many months, Bishop Fellay and the Society of St. Pius X have been waging a Crusade of Rosaries and Reparation, begging for just this moment. Now, here it is, what will be the Society’s  response?

The question of what the Society of St. Pius X will do is not an idle one. Many traditionals have been watching the Argentine pope’s tango with the Society leaders and wondering … This is a crucial moment to see if Bishop Fellay is truly a leader in the spirit of Archbishop Lefebvre! We must pray for them.

What about the other Bishops?

Will they stand idly by? Who is brave enough to stand with Cardinal Burke? After years of failing to defend the faith and failing Our Lady of Fatima as well,  will they now heed the call from Our Lady of Fatima? We must pray for these Bishops and pray for our priests!

If you have not already, please read Father Clovis’s remarks at the Rome Life Forum, he is saying quite unmistakably the truth about the anti-church. Readers, this is a crucial turning point, we must not fail now, because if we do, there will be only darkness hereafter as Bergoglio and his wrecking crew finish their seeming demolition.  Any Bishop who does not stand with Cardinal Burke is not just failing the faithful, he is failing the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Wouldn’t it be a splendid thing if this pope repented! We must pray! And we must back up our prayers with obedient and generous sacrifices! Pray to Sts. Jacinta  and Francisco for help with this, believe me, it really does work!

Now is the time for us to renew our prayers, our acts of reparation with a gratitude we may not have felt earlier!

We close with a couple of Psalms from Prime ifrom the  Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Psalm 53

Save me, O God, by Thy name, and judge me in Thy strength.  O God, hear my prayer: harken to the words of my mouth.  For strangers have risen up against me; and the mighty have sought after my soul: and they have not set God before their eyes.

For behold God is my helper: and the Lord is the protector of my soul. Turn back the evil upon my enemies; and destroy them in Thy truth.  Freely will I  sacrifice to thee, and will give praise, O God, to Thy name: because it is good: For Thou hast delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath looked down upon my enemies.

Psalm 84

Thou hast blessed Thy land, O Lord, Thou hast turned away the captivity of Jacob. Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of Thy people. Thou hast covered all their sins. Thou hast softened all Thine anger; Thou hast turned Thyself from Thy wrathful indignation. Convert Thou us, O God our Savior and turn away Thine anger from us. Wilt Thou be angry with us forever, or wilt Thou stretch out Thy wrath from generation to generation?

Thou wilt turn again, O God and quicken us and Thy people shall rejoice in Thee. Show us O Lord, Thy mercy and grant us Thy salvation. I will harken what the Lord God shall say within me for He will speak peace unto His people; unto His saints and unto them that are converted in heart.

Surely His salvation is nigh unto them that fear him, that glory may dwell in our land. mercy and truth have met; justice and peace have kissed. Truth is sprung from the earth and justice hath looked down from heaven. For the Lord shall put forth His goodness and our land shall yield her fruit. Justice shall walk before him and shall set his footsteps in the way.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of our hearts, Mother of the Church, do thou offer to the Eternal Father the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, for the conversion of poor sinners, especially our Pontiff.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy Kingdom come, Viva Cristo Rey!

St. Joseph, guardian of the Holy Family, protect our families, protect our priests!

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.

St. Francisco of Fatima, pray for us! pray for the Church!

St. Jacinta of Fatima, pray for us! pray for the Pope!

~ by evensong for love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, King.
Vouchsafe that I may praise thee, O Sacred Virgin! Give me strength against thine enemies!

Words, just words

PART I

The Words of the Virgin

Let’s return for a moment to the words of the Blessed Virgin at Fatima. We’ll let this post be the start and reference for a discussion about what Our Lady actually said and meant at Fatima one hundred years ago. Today, not much comment, just the words Our Lady of the Rosary used in imparting her message one hundred years ago.

May 13, 1917

Our Lady to the three shepherd children, “Do not fear! I will do you no harm.”   Then, in reply to Lucia’s question: I am of Heaven.” Thus she recalls to us her prerogative as The Immaculate Conception, by which she is uniquely privileged to claim, “I am of Heaven“.

To Lucia’s question, Shall I go to Heaven too? “Yes, you will.” And Jacinta? “She will go also.” And Francisco? “He will go too, but he must say many rosaries.”

Lucia then asked if  two young girls she knew who had died recently had gone to heaven. The beautiful Lady answered of the first girl, Maria das Neves, Yes, she is.” But of the second, known to us only as Amelia, the Lady said, “She shall be in purgatory until the end of the world.”  [We will address this issue later.]

To Lucia’s inquiry, “What does Your Grace want of me?” The Lady replied,

“I have come to ask you to come here for six months in succession, on the 13th day, at this same hour. Later on, I will tell you who I am and what I want. Afterwards, I will return here yet a seventh time.”

“Are you willing to offer yourselves to God and bear all the sufferings He wills to send you as an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and in supplication for the conversion of sinners?”

Francisco, Jacinta and Lucia answered, “Yes, we are willing!” Our Lady then told them, “Then you are going to have much to suffer, but the grace of God will be your comfort.”

Lucia tells us that as Our Lady said those last words, she spread her hands communicating to us … a light so intense … its rays penetrated our hearts and the innermost depths of our souls making us see ourselves in God, Who was that Light.” The children then, moved by an inner impulse, knelt down and prayed, “O Most Holy Trinity, I adore Thee!. My God, my God, I love Thee in the most Blessed Sacrament!”

The Lady then said, “Pray the Rosary every day, in order to obtain peace for the world, and the end of the war.”

 June 13, 1917

Lucia asked as she did the first time, “What does Your Grace want of me?”  The Lady replied,

“I wish you to come here on the 13th of next month, to pray the Rosary each day, and to learn how to read. Later, I will tell you what I want.”

When Lucia asked her about curing a sick person, Our Lady answered, “If he is converted, he will be cured during the year.”

Lucia then bravely said, “I would like to ask you to take us to Heaven.”

“Yes, I will take Jacinta and Francisco soon. But you are to stay here some time longer. Jesus wishes to make use of you to make me known and loved. He wants to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. I promise salvation to those who embrace it and their souls will be loved by God as flowers placed by myself to adorn His throne.”

“Am I to stay here alone?”

“No, my daughter. Are you suffering a great deal? Don’t lose heart. I will never forsake you. My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the path that leads you to God.”

Lucia explains that as Our Lady said this, she once again communicated that immense Light to them. Jacinta and Francisco were in the portion which went up to Heaven and Lucia remained in the portion spread out on earth. But this time, Our Lady extended her right hand and in front of her palm was a heart encircled by thorns which pierced it. In Lucia’s words, “We understood that this was the Immaculate Heart of Mary outraged by the sins of humanity and seeking reparation.”

The Centenary of Fatima and the Passion of the Church

Father Malachi Martin was bound, unfairly he believed, but nevertheless bound by an oath against revealing the Third Secret, or more properly, the third portion of the Secret of Fatima. But this chafed him so that he increasingly indicated insights into the secret’s meaning as time went by and the devil’s own chaos increased in the Church. It must have been a terrible burden to know that if only he were able to speak out, so many souls might have repented and been saved! But Father took solace in obedience, knowing as he did that it was by way of the arrogant disobedience of Popes that this assault from hell came about.

And so, even though bound by his oath, Father allowed certain insights. If we review all the hints he gave us in his books and interviews, they fall into a pattern roughly consisting of three portions,

  1. A material chastisement
  2. A spiritual chastisement
  3. The action of Russia in both chastisements.

Frère Michel de la Sainte Trinité  also believed that Russia was the key player in both the physical and spiritual events of the chastisement. Additionally,  Frère Michel stressed that the physical chastisements began with the Second World War and since Russia has not been consecrated properly – and thus cannot be exorcised of Satanic control – the ongoing war will only continue, eventually enveloping the entire world with one horrific conflagration of intense terror. The force behind this will of course, be Russia, or more precisely, satanic marxism.

Satanic marxism is also behind the spiritual chastisement which continues apace until the Church is eventually reduced to a very small  and seemingly impotent remnant. There should be little doubt that Pope Francis is a satanic marxist and is the Pope that Father Malachi Martin alluded to as the last pope of this era and who would be under the control of Satan. It has been said before that the Age of Apostasy began with Martin Luther and will end with Luther’s own Pope. That would appear to be Francis.  St. Hildegard has told us what to expect of this pope and Blessed Elizabeth Canori Mora has also warned us of what is to come.

In a previous post we quoted Antonio Socci’s account of Pope Benedict’s revelation at Fatima in 2010:

But a resounding explicit confirmation came from Benedict XVI himself, who, during an unexpected pilgrimage to Fatima on May 13, 2010, affirmed: “He deceives himself who thinks that the prophetic mission of Fatima is concluded.”

He added: “there are indicated future realities of the Church which little by little are manifesting themselves… and therefore it is the sufferings of the Church which are announced.”

But could such prophecies be found in that text [of the vision]?

These two phrases of the Pope in that discourse at Fatima prompt reflection:

“Man has the power to unleash a cycle of death and terror, but he is not able to stop it.” And then: “The faith in vast regions of the earth risks being extinguished, like a flame without fuel.”

From these words of Pope Benedict one discerns, therefore, that there is truly something else in the Third Secret and that it is dramatic for the world and the Church. The volume in fact draws from the letters of Sister Lucia and from the unpublished diary “My Way.” Impressive among things previously unpublished, is the account of how Sister Lucy overcame the terror that prevented her from writing down the Third Secret.

The Unpublished Account

At around 4 p.m. on January 3, 1944, in the chapel of the convent, before the Tabernacle, Lucia asked Jesus to make known His will: “I then felt a friendly hand, maternal and affectionate, touch my shoulder.”

And the Mother of God said to her: “be at peace, and write what I have commanded you, but not, however, that which has been given to you to understand its meaning,” intending to allude to the meaning of the vision which the Virgin herself had revealed.

Immediately afterward, said Sister Lucia, “I felt my spirit inundated by a mystery of light that is God and in Him I saw and heard: the point of a lance like a flame that is detached, touches the axis of the earth, and it trembles: mountains, cities, towns and villages with their inhabitants are buried. The sea, the rivers, the clouds, exceed their boundaries, inundating and dragging with them, in a vortex, houses and people in a number that cannot be counted. It is the purification of the world from the sin in which it is immersed. Hatred, ambition, provoke the destructive war.

After I felt my racing heart, in my spirit a soft voice said: ‘In time, one faith, one baptism, one Church, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic. In eternity, Heaven!’ This word ‘Heaven’ filled my heart with peace and happiness in such a way that, almost without being aware of it, I kept repeating to myself for a long time: Heaven, Heaven.” (Antonio Socci)

From this came the strength to write the Third Secret. …
