The Fifth Glorious Mystery from Rosary to the Interior, Part II

† . † . †

Today we present the final part of the beautiful meditation on the Fifth Glorious Mystery by Rosary to the Interior.

The other half of this mystery, however, is that Mary has been present in the mind and will of God as the Mother of God and the Mother of all men for all eternity, and that all of this became “incarnate” on this earth from the first moment of her own Immaculate Conception within the womb of her mother Anne. On the Feast of the Immaculate Conception (in the Old Missal), The Church applies to Mary the following verses from Proverbs: “The Lord possessed me in the beginning of His ways, before He made anything, from the beginning. I was set up from eternity, and of old, before the earth was made. The depths were not as yet, and I was already conceived….I was with Him, forming all things, and was delighted every day, playing before Him at all times, playing in the world: and my delight was to be with the children of men (Prov. 8:23-35).” God’s time, in other words, is not our time. Just as for all eternity Mary was “pre-redeemed” from original sin approximately 45 years before the redemptive sacrifice of Her Son, so Our Lord’s Incarnation and all that followed was present in the Mystery of Mary’s Immaculate Conception.

Our Lady appears “clothed with the sun.” The Indians worshipped the sun, and this would certainly show them that her dignity was far superior to that of the physical sun. However, the rays of this sun do not radiate outwardly as do those of the physical sun. Rather, they project and expand inwardly, touching, enfolding and embracing Mary. It would therefore seem much more appropriate to view this “sun” as an image of the Holy Spirit (the “Ray of Heavenly Light”, as in the Litany of the Holy Ghost) overshadowing and surrounding Mary at the very moment of the Incarnation. We may see in this, in other words, the fulfillment of the Angel Gabriel’s words to Mary, “The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the most High shall overshadow thee. And therefore also the Holy One which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.”

Further, this Ray of Heavenly Light gives forth the powerful image of fruitfulness. It has the appearance of the pith of a fruit which surrounds, sustains, and nourishes the growth of what is within. And within this “space” are both Mary who was Immaculately Conceived, and the child Jesus who has been conceived within her womb. The Image therefore shows forth both mysteries at once: of Mary’s Immaculate Conception, and Mary conceiving – both through the power and spousal love of the Holy Spirit.

Equally significant is the fact that the mantle which enshrouds Mary is covered with stars. As was the case in my boyhood imagination, this starry cloak can best be seen as a symbol for the entire universe which, in the Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, is no longer seen as a vast and impersonal place, but as a beautiful garment of God’s immense love clothing the manifold mysteries of His plan for our salvation and final union with Him.

Most astounding to all who gaze on this image is the face of Mary. There is no image in the world that is as beautiful as this, for there is none other that so captures the soul’s intimate and total union with God in interior prayer and communion. The Indians, of course, immediately knew that she was not God. Her hands are pressed in profound prayer, and gods or goddesses do not pray. It was her face, however, which showed everything and attracted everyone. It was the face of an infinitely tender Mother, as expressed in her own words: “Listen and understand well my son, smallest of all, that you have no cause to be frightened and worried. Let your heart be troubled no longer, have no fear of that sickness, nor of any other sickness or sorrow. Is this not your mother here next to you? Are you not here in the shelter of my loving shadow? Am I not your health? Are you not safe here within my loving bosom? What else has thou need of?” This face showed that, despite recent appearances and history, the universe in which these people lived was one of light and not darkness, love rather than hate, beauty and not chaos – a world in which an Infinitely Good God and His Mother were the victors over the Evil Serpent (Our Lady is, in fact, pictured standing triumphantly on a burnt-out crescent moon – an image of the Serpent). Most important, it was a world in which man was not called just to witness, adore, and sacrifice to this God and His Goodness, but to be drawn into and fully participate in this abundant Life. This was a face of love, of tenderness, of fullness of life, of rest and peace, of Divine participation and knowledge. It was, in other words, the face of Wisdom:

“Wisdom shall praise her own self, and shall be honoured in God, and shall glory in the midst of her people…..

Then the creator of all things commanded, and said to me: and he that made me, rested in my tabernacle” (Ecclus 24:1, 12 – Douay-Rheims).

We are now in a position to understand with great simplicity and clarity Mary’s role as Mediatrix of All Graces. In the spiritual marriage between Mary and the Holy Spirit, which has existed in the mind of God for all eternity, we must recognize that whatever graces and life come through the Holy Spirit must also come through Mary. And since, as Maximillian Kolbe said, “all graces come from the Father through the Son and by the Holy Spirit,” they must also therefore come by way of Mary, and attain to fruition only through her motherly care.

Consequently, the purpose of Mary’s becoming The Immaculate Conception is twofold: the humanization of God (“the Word became flesh”) and the divinization of man. In gazing upon the Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, we are pre-eminently made aware of the transcendent destiny of the human person: we see, as St. Louis De Montfort says, “the divine Mary.” The divinization of all the predestined therefore comes about through a full sharing, as spiritual children within Her Immaculate Heart, of the spousal love between God and Mary which has existed for all eternity.

The Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe also presents us with an image of the Triumph of Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth over Satan. When we think about Our Lady’s Triumph we are tempted to picture this in terms of star-war like battles on a cosmic scale. The Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe offers a very different view. The burnt-out crescent moon upon which Our Lady stands in Triumph is a pathetic thing. Satan, with all his rage and rebellion, and all the rebellion and blasphemies of all men down through the ages, are nothing before the infinite power and majesty of God. The true Triumph and Crowning of Mary is most aptly depicted, therefore, not in grandiose battles, but in the smallness of a human soul which, in the depths of its humility and poverty, has surrendered itself in Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary. It is this which is the final message and call of Our Lady.

Finally, we must realize that the message and Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe calls us to intense love of the Church for the realization of Her Triumph over the hearts of all her children. Immediately after identifying herself to Juan Diego as the “Mother of the True God through Whom everything lives, the Lord of all things near and far, Master of heaven and earth”, she declares, “I wish and intensely desire that in this place my sanctuary be erected. Here I will demonstrate, I will exhibit, I will give all my love, my compassion, my help, and my protection to the people. I am your merciful mother”. Juan Diego became the custodian of this chapel which Bishop Zumárraga ordered to be constructed, and this became the source from which radiated the conversion of millions of souls during the following few years. The aftermath of the appearances of Our Lady of Guadalupe represents the greatest and most “intense” (in terms of the shortness of time involved) mass conversion of souls in the history of the Church – and this among a people who just 10 years previously had lived under the yoke of a regime and culture which was arguably the most Satanic, and the most given to human sacrifice, of any civilization in the history of the world. We therefore have no excuse now for despair, or for cowering in the caves of a private and bitter faith in fear of the apostasy and degradation which surrounds us.

Our Lord guaranteed that the gates of Hell would not prevail against His Church. And yet Satan now appears to be hammering away at every door and window of that Church, and seeking the ruin of every soul within. It is amply clear that the purification of the Church has been entrusted by Christ to His Mother, and it would seem equally clear that she awaits our militant response in cooperation with the graces which Christ has entrusted to her care for the accomplishment of Her Triumph. It would also seem that the Feast most appropriate for this purification is the double Feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Presentation of Our Lord in the Temple on February 2. As explained in our Original Proposal, it is this Feast which most aptly embodies the mystery of the spiritual life that the Light of Christ can only be made to radiate from the Church for the mass conversion of souls through the suffering love of Mary and the interior purification of all her children.

We therefore ask all those who are Mary’s children to join us on February 2, 2019 in praying the Rosary to the Interior: For the Purification of the Church. We ask you, with the humility and perseverance of Juan Diego, to contact your priest and bishop in order to persuade them to implement this event in their churches (see our homepage for links to resources). We suggest that if your church is locked on this date that you pray outside, or that you pray it at home. We ask that this be done in all nations throughout the world. And finally, we ask that you print off copies of the one-page Handout concerning this event, and distribute them at all Catholic events and venues between now and February 2. We especially recommend this be done in the United States at the March for Life in Washington, D.C, and in other Pro-Life Marches throughout the country.

If we do not unite, we will almost certainly be driven back into the caves of our own private faith. We will descend further into our own personal and partial agendas, and into the desperation, failure, and bitterness which is the usual fruit of such isolation. In unity there is hope. In unity there are extraordinary graces. In unity there is the seamless and pure Heart of Mary which seeks that we be One in Her Love, Protection, and Power for the conversion of souls.

The Fifth Glorious Mystery from Rosary to the Interior

We are happy to present another meditation from Rosary to the Interior. This one is the last in the series of Rosary meditations, the Fifth Glorious Mystery.

This article and indeed, the entire series of meditations produced by the Rosary to the Interior, is an effort to encourage people to participate in the second annual Rosary to the Interior: For the Purification of the Church event this coming February 2. It is especially timely in the face of the Synod on Abuse which is to be held in Rome February 21-24, involving Pope Francis and all the Presidents of the Bishop’s Episcopal Conferences.  Catholics must understand that this is a spiritual battle above all and this Rosary campaign is our best weapon!

The Fifth Glorious Mystery

The Crowning of Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth

Part I

Glory be to the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

It is probably the tendency for most of us who pray the Rosary to rattle off the “Glory Be” rather quickly and without much thought. If so, we miss something most profound.

That God is eternally changeless, that what “He was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be”, and that all that has ever existed or will exist is within His infinite knowledge, will, power, and causation for all eternity, is an extraordinary concept. To those who approach this truth with minds and hearts immersed in this world, it calls forth images of that which is static, rigid, restricting to our free will, uninteresting, un-stimulating, and banal. To those who see it with a Catholic heart and mind, however, it reverberates with all that is perfect intelligence and love, immersed in a never-ending and inexhaustible richness of freedom, delight, and peace.

To see reality with the Heart of Christ is, if we may be permitted to use the expression, to begin with eternity. There never was a time when God did not know that He was going to create man “in His Image”; that man, in the full freedom of his will, would sin and fall from grace; that as a result of this first sin, the earth would for millennia be polluted with a vast array and quantity of sins; that the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity, in order to atone for all this evil and merit the salvation of all men, would incarnate as man, suffer crucifixion, and rise again; and that for the fulfillment of Our Lord’s Incarnation He would create a Woman who would be His perfect Mother, and whose Immaculate Heart would be the portal through which God desires each one of us to pass in order to be able to see and love as does He.

All of this requires that we virtually acquire another dimension to our thinking. I remember as a boy staring at the stars with my mind caught up in what seemed then to be an unsolvable puzzle. Since this starry cosmos, despite its apparent immensity, was composed entirely of finite things, there had to be an end somewhere out there. And yet there could be no end, because there surely had to be something beyond. It took me until I was sixty years old to solve this riddle – to figure out the simple fact that all that has been created is truly finite and has no independent existence outside of the creative action and power of God, and that therefore outside or beyond this starry universe and all that it contains is simply the Infinite Being of God. And further, and most important, none of it is in reality outside or beyond God at all. As St. Paul wrote:

“For in Him [Christ] were all things created in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominations, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him and in Him.

The world is now drowning in an ocean of thought and action which views everything in terms of evolutionary Becoming. It is immersed in a philosophical and pseudo-scientific conceit which, with messianic fervor, is at total war with the concepts of the unchangeable Being of God and the substantial being and “fixed” nature of man (see The Third Sorrowful Mystery: The Crowning with Thorns). Nowhere is this worldview more succinctly expressed than in Joseph Ratzinger’s statement that “Being is time; it does not merely have” time. Only in becoming does it exist and unfold into itself.” And, of course, it is also aptly expressed in Pope Francis formula, which he has often used, that “Time is greater than space” (Francis clearly uses the word “space” to refer to fixed dogma and moral truths). In such a world, all that is truly human is subjected to the violence and viciousness of endless evolutionary “progress”. There is no absolute certainty, no peace, no God Who is “in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end”. And because of this poison which has penetrated everywhere, the world now descends into violence, chaos, the darkness of ignorance, and satanic moral depravity.

But the world possesses a completely miraculous Image in which all of this darkness is refuted – an Icon reflecting the Eternal Plan and Being of God, and containing, for those who have the good will to see, all the essential Truths necessary for the conversion and peace of the human heart. It was impressed by God upon the tilma of a humble native in Mexico in the year 1531. It is the sacred Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. In eight years it accomplished the conversion of seven million pagan souls to the Beauty and Truth of Christianity, and it now radiates out to the modern world as a vision of Final Truth and Hope.

Our Lady of Guadalupe and The Immaculate Conception

Our Lady’s first appearance to Juan Diego occurred on December 9 (1531), the original date on which the Feast of the Immaculate Conception was informally celebrated within the Church (now celebrated officially on Dec 8). All of Our Lady’s appearances occurred during the octave of this Feast. What is surprising in all this is that the image imprinted on the tilma of Juan Diego by God’s miraculous power does not at first sight appear to have much to do with the Immaculate Conception. Mary appears as a young woman wearing a black sash around her waist, a custom which immediately revealed to the Indians that she was with child. She also identified herself to Juan Diego as “the ever Virgin Holy Mary, Mother of the true God from Whom all life has come.” The Feast of the Immaculate Conception celebrates the day on which Mary was conceived without sin in the womb of her mother Anne, which according to Catholic tradition would have been 14-15 years previous to the conception of Jesus. At first sight, therefore, it does not appear to make much sense that she should make her appearance as the Mother of God on this date.

Three hundred and twenty seven years later, at Lourdes, France, Our Lady did something which would seem almost a perfect inversion of the above. In the year 1858, on March 24 (the day which anticipated the Feast of the Annunciation – the day on which Mary became the Mother of God), Our Lady announced to Bernadette Soubrious, “I am the Immaculate Conception.” This statement posed a dilemma for theologians. They certainly would have understood if she had said, “I was immaculately conceived” – Pope Pius IX had only four years earlier defined this as a dogma of the faith, and had set the date for universal celebration of this Feast on December 8. They could not, however, understand her definition of herself as The Immaculate Conception.

So, we are left with a double mystery. On the one hand, Mary identified herself to Juan Diego as the Mother of God on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. On the other hand, at Lourdes, she defines herself as The Immaculate Conception on the day which anticipated the Feast dedicated to that moment when Mary became the Mother of God

The clue to unraveling this double mystery lies in understanding that to say that Mary was immaculately conceived is not the same as saying that she is The Immaculate Conception. We know that there is a very profound connection, on the one hand, between the fact that Mary was immaculately conceived, and, on the other, the eternal choice of God by which she became the Mother of God. Simply put, Mary was immaculately conceived on December 8 (or the 9th, according to the older tradition) in order that she, in union with the Holy Spirit, might become the Mother of God approximately 15 years later on March 25. In becoming the Mother of God, however, she also became the Mother of all the Members of His Mystical Body, and therefore also Mother of the Church. In other words, when Mary said, “I am the Immaculate Conception”, she was identifying herself both as the Mother of Christ (immaculately conceived) and the Mother of all those who are immaculately conceived (“born again”) through the saving and regenerating waters of baptism. Mary is therefore properly called The Immaculate Conception because she is, in union with the Holy Spirit, and through Christ’s redemptive sacrifice, the source of all immaculate conception in the Church: “Blessed are the clean of heart for they shall see God.”(Mt. 5: 8). This is simply to say that she truly is both Mother of Christ and Mother of all the redeemed.

Consecration Prayer to Immaculate Mother of God

Here is the Consecration Prayer for those who may have forgotten to make theirs. I cannot stress enough the importance of making your Consecration! Readers have said, “I have not had ample time to prepare for my Consecration.” Do not let scruples be an obstacle. None of us ever feel  adequately prepared! But we must make a start, in any event. And our Blessed Mother will do the rest!

Act of Consecration to Jesus through Mary

O ETERNAL and incarnate Wisdom! O sweetest and most adorable Jesus! True God and true man, only Son of the Eternal Father, and of Mary, always virgin! I adore Thee profoundly in the bosom and splendors of Thy Father during eternity; and I adore Thee also in the virginal bosom of Mary, Thy most worthy Mother, in the time of Thine incarnation.

I give Thee thanks for that Thou hast annihilated Thyself, taking the form of a slave in order to rescue me from the cruel slavery of the devil. I praise and glorify Thee for that Thou hast been pleased to submit Thyself to Mary, Thy holy Mother, in all things, in order to make me Thy faithful slave through her. But, alas! Ungrateful and faithless as I have been, I have not kept the promises which I made so solemnly to Thee in my Baptism; I have not fulfilled my obligations; I do not deserve to be called Thy child, nor yet Thy slave; and as there is nothing in me which does not merit Thine anger and Thy repulse, I dare not come by myself before Thy most holy and august Majesty. It is on this account that I have recourse to the intercession of Thy most holy Mother, whom Thou hast given me for a mediatrix with Thee. It is through her that I hope to obtain of Thee contrition, the pardon of my sins, and the acquisition and preservation of wisdom.

Hail, then, O immaculate Mary, living tabernacle of the Divinity, where the Eternal Wisdom willed to be hidden and to be adored by angels and by men! Hail, O Queen of Heaven and earth, to whose empire everything is subject which is under God. Hail, O sure refuge of sinners, whose mercy fails no one. Hear the desires which I have of the Divine Wisdom; and for that end receive the vows and offerings which in my lowliness I present to thee.

I, ________________, a faithless sinner, renew and ratify today in thy hands the vows of my Baptism; I renounce forever Satan, his pomps and works; and I give myself entirely to Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life, and to be more faithful to Him than I have ever been before. In the presence of all the heavenly court I choose thee this day for my Mother and Mistress. I deliver and consecrate to thee, as thy slave, my body and soul, my goods, both interior and exterior, and even the value of all my good actions, past, present and future; leaving to thee the entire and full right of disposing of me, and all that belongs to me, without exception, according to thy good pleasure, for the greater glory of God in time and in eternity.

Receive, O benignant Virgin, this little offering of my slavery, in honor of, and in union with, that subjection which the Eternal Wisdom deigned to have to thy maternity; in homage to the power which both of you have over this poor sinner, and in thanksgiving for the privileges with which the Holy Trinity has favored thee. I declare that I wish henceforth, as thy true slave, to seek thy honor and to obey thee in all things.

O admirable Mother, present me to thy dear Son as His eternal slave, so that as He has redeemed me by thee, by thee He may also receive me! O Mother of mercy, grant me the grace to obtain the true Wisdom of God; and for that end receive me among those whom thou lovest, teachest, and protectest as thy children and thy slaves.

O faithful Virgin, make me in all things so perfect a disciple, imitator and slave of the Incarnate Wisdom, Jesus Christ thy Son, that I may attain, by thine intercession and by thine example, to the fullness of His age on earth and of His glory in Heaven. Amen. (St. Louis-Marie Grignon de Monfort, True Devotion to Mary, with Preparation for Total Consecration”, by Catholic Way, Kindle Edition).

† . † . †

To understand the importance of our Consecration, please consider: every ingrained sinful habit we have is actually a crack into our hearts which allows satan to slither in and break us down, little by little. Our Lady has no such flaw. She is the Immaculate Conception. As such, she is impervious to his deceits, and she is indeed powerful to protect her own.

If you knew you were going to have to be swimming in a sea of toxic ebola virus, HIV virus, and every other frightening biotoxin, you would grab any available protection. Yet the mortal sins being thrust at us from all directions today, especially those most seductive, the appeals to our pride, our self-love, envy, lust and greed – all these! They are fatal to our souls and threaten us with an eternity of damnation, and yet we blissfully ignore the generous gifts of of Our Lord to protect us!

And once you are consecrated, ask her frequently – at least several times a day, to help you live this consecration until you are able to live each day tucked closely into her Immaculate, loving, Mother’s heart!

Thank you for reading, I pray for you always.

The Immaculate Conception of Mary 2018

Today we are blessed to celebrate the great feastday of Our Lady, the feast  of her Immaculate Conception, the highlight of the Marian year and the time for us to renew our Consecrations. This year it is much more important than any previous year for us to continue on, earnestly living out each day our consecration to the Blessed Virgin as we prepare for the Rosary to the Interior, for the Purification of the Church on Feb 2, 2019. This year, significantly, February 2 falls on a First Saturday, thus emphasizing the importance of First Saturdays of Reparation.

To honor Our Lady on her great feastday, we offer this sermon by Archbishop Lefebvre on her Feast of the Immaculate Conception, December 8,1972..

My dear friends, my dear brethren,

As the whole liturgy of today shows us, God, in His wisdom, had long ago prepared for us the most Blessed Virgin Mary. It was not just at the moment of her birth on earth that God decreed to exempt her from all sin, and to make her the Immaculate Conception but already in eternity, which preceded the creation of the world.

The epistle today recalls this fact, applying to the Most Holy Virgin the words of the eternal Wisdom; already the Holy Virgin was in the mind of God: “Iam concepta eram—I was already conceived”—yes, conceived in the mind of God, and thus already in the divine plan God was thinking of the Virgin Mary. Already He wished to fill her with all His graces, and to give her this extraordinary privilege of the Immaculate Conception, exempting her from all sin: “Tota pulchra es, Maria, et macula originalis non est in te—Thou art all fair, O Mary, and there is no stain of original sin in thee.”

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.
The Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary

So already in eternity, before the creation of the world, God was thinking of this admirable creature, the first of His creatures after our Lord Jesus Christ Himself. All during the course of history which preceded the birth of the Blessed Virgin, during the whole history of humanity, God was thinking of the Blessed Virgin. We see it during the entire history of the Old Testament—already, immediately after the sin of Adam and Eve, God said to Adam and Eve, “I will place an enmity between thee and the woman: She shall crush thy head.” So already the Virgin Mary had been foreseen by the Spirit of God and her preparation, the preparation for her Immaculate Conception, was becoming more and more precise the whole time.

The image of the Blessed Virgin Mary can also be found in the holy women of the Old Testament. Think of the account of Sarah, the wife of Tobias, on whose behalf an angel bound up the demon and cast him far into the desert. She is an image of the Blessed Virgin Mary, “before whom the devil must flee, and whom the devil fears.” The Virgin Mary was not under the empire of Satan for an instant, a single instant.

The story of Judith also illustrates the role of the most Holy Virgin Mary. She delivered the people of Israel from the hands of Holofernes. In cutting off the head of Holofernes Judith saved Israel, and in like manner the Blessed Virgin, by cutting off the head of the devil in a certain sense, saved the people of God.

Thus during the whole course of history God wished that we be reminded of the most Holy Virgin; the Blessed Virgin Mary was always present to God and in the plan of God and thus from her birth the Blessed Virgin Mary was exempt from all sin. At the moment of her birth she was filled with the Holy Ghost, and yet again even more so—if such be possible—at the moment when the Angel Gabriel came to announce that she would be the Mother of the Savior. Behold what the Angel said to the Blessed Virgin: “Thou art full of grace, overflowing with grace, and the Holy Ghost shall descend upon thee and overshadow thee.”

How could the Holy Ghost be present with the devil in the soul of the most Holy Virgin? There could be no stain in the soul of the Blessed Virgin Mary; already God had decided that. And from the beginning of the Blessed Virgin’s existence, we see that, in fact, the Blessed Virgin is wholly filled with the Holy Ghost. She is shown to us as a contemplative, and living in the presence of God, speaking little, reflecting on all the words which Our Lord said. At times she deemed it right to discreetly intervene, as at the marriage feast of Cana, and this was to teach us her whole gospel: “Do whatever He shall tell you.” This is the gospel of our Holy Virgin Mary.

Again, she was present at Calvary as the Mother of the Eternal Priest, at the offering of Our Lord Jesus Christ, for she also was crucified with Our Lord. If St. Paul could say, “Confixus sure cruci—I am nailed to the Cross with Christ,” how much more could the Blessed Virgin Mary say it!

Again, she was also present at the moment of Pentecost, when the Apostles received the Holy Ghost—she who was already filled with the Holy Ghost, she did not need to receive Him again but through her mediation, the Apostles received Him.

Finally the Blessed Virgin Mary went up to heaven, not only in her soul but also in her body, and thus was this extraordinary life of hers completed; a life unique in the history of humanity, but foreseen by God from all eternity.

The influence of the Blessed Virgin Mary has not ceased. Even now in heaven, the Blessed Virgin Mary continues to be the Mother of the Mystical Body of Our Lord, the Mother of the Church, the Mother of our souls. She shows it, she proves it, she proves it in every one of us, but she also proves it in her apparitions. Is it not admirable to think that after the Sovereign Pontiff Pius IX proclaimed the dogma of the Immaculate Conception as a revealed truth, that the Blessed Virgin Mary was Immaculate from her Conception—already four years later on March 21, 1858, the Blessed Virgin herself said to little Bernadette, the little shepherdess, “I am the Immaculate Conception.”

Remember that Bernadette was incapable of understanding, she could not understand what these words meant, and she left the grotto on her way to her pastor’s house repeating these words which she did not understand, to make sure she would not forget them. The history of the life of Bernadette tells us that it was at that moment that the parish priest of Lourdes, Fr. Pomian, was truly convinced by the apparitions at Lourdes. He realized that the poor little shepherdess was incapable of inventing this herself, and that the dogma had been proclaimed four years before by the Sovereign Pontiff. Thus it was confirmed by the Blessed Virgin herself that she was the Immaculate Conception.

What lesson, then, must we draw from this history of the Blessed Virgin Mary and her Immaculate Conception? For all of us who have been baptized, we who in a certain sense have received more than others because of the offices we may occupy in Holy Church—all of us: If the Blessed Virgin Mary was Immaculate in her Conception it is because she was to be the Mother of Our Lord Jesus Christ, because she had to carry within herself Our Lord, the Son of God, because she was charged with giving Him to the world, because she was to live in proximity with Him, to be His Mother.

We Christians, who receive Holy Communion, do we not receive the same Jesus Christ, the same Body, which was conceived by the Blessed Virgin Mary? We receive Him in us, in our bodies, in our souls. If it was decreed that the Blessed Virgin Mary was to be immaculate in her conception, so that she might receive the Body of Our Lord Jesus Christ, His soul, His divinity, must we not also be pure? Not that we can be immaculate in our conception, but may our souls be immaculate, by our prayers, by our dispositions, by our efforts, by the grace of God… to win this privilege that the Blessed Virgin had by the gift of Our Lord Jesus Christ, may we by our prayers and by the grace of God obtain the grace of having immaculate souls to receive Our Lord Jesus Christ.

We must! We must live without sin, we must struggle against anything that might tarnish our souls, so that it can be said of our souls: “Tota pulchra est, et macula non est in te—Thou art all fair, and there is no stain in thee.” Let there be no stain in our souls so that we may worthily receive Our Lord Jesus Christ.

And if that is true for Christians, true for the faithful, true for every person, every soul receiving Our Lord Jesus Christ, how much more, dear brethren, is it true of you—you who are destined in a singular way to consecrate yourselves to God, to offer yourselves to God, and particularly those who offer themselves to God in the priesthood, who, in this world, call down Our Lord Jesus Christ upon the altar and, like the Blessed Virgin, touch Him with their hands, and give Him to others; how much more must your souls be immaculate!

With what joy, therefore, do we receive today the oblations of those who desire to offer their lives, offer their souls, for the service of God, the service of the altar. Let us ask in a special way of the Blessed Virgin to transmit, in a certain degree, this privilege she had, the graces which are necessary to keep our souls immaculate.

She is the creature that was created, designed by God to destroy sin. Thus there is no creature more free of sin than the Blessed Virgin Mary.

She has crushed the head of the serpent. Therefore with the Blessed Virgin there is no compromise, no compromise with sin, no compromise with error; she is completely true, completely holy. She cannot bear error, or sin, or vice. Let us then ask the Blessed Virgin that we ourselves have this horror of sin, this horror of vice—but love for sinners, because it was for sinners that she was created, to save sinners. May we have this immense desire, this flame which must consume us, the desire to save souls from sin, to snatch them from the clutches of the devil, the clutches of the world, and the scandals of it.

Therefore let us all ask today that our Society be a sign, a sign of truth, a sign of holiness, a sign of flight from sin, and all the scandals of the world, and a sign of the presence of the Virgin Mary. We will truly be children of the Church, children of Mary, on this condition. But if, unhappily, we also become like the people who are drawn by the world and who want compromises with things of the world, with error—then we will no longer be worthy children of Mary, worthy children of Our Lord.

That is what we ask, for all those who are present at this Holy Mass, for all those who are present here, and particularly for those who, in a moment, will pronounce their oblation and their engagements in the Society.

Mary, Queen of our hearts

We continue with our project to post an article on devotion to our beloved Immaculata every day in preparation for her great feast day. Today, we honor Mary, Queen of our hearts.

In her Litany of Loreto, she is honored with the title of Queen 13 times, but following the disobedience of John XXIII, true devotion to Mary as Queen gradually ebbed away.

Dr. Roberto de Mattei’s, “The Second Vatican Council, an unwritten story” has many well documented examples of the expressed intentions of the Council Fathers to minimize the role of Mary in order to promote ecumenism. He references Congar, Rahner, Laurentin, Frings and others, but perhaps the most telling quote was the one from Pope John XXIII when he was Patriarch of Venice.

In a letter of 22 April, 1954, he wrote of Mary,

“Jesus dying said to John: Behold your Mother – this is sufficient for the faith and for the liturgy. The rest may be edifying (and it is mostly) and for many pious and devout souls, moving; but for many, many more, even if they are well-inclined towards the Catholic Church – it is irritating – and as we say these days – counter-productive”.

Amazing. Devotion to Mary is “irritating”? Really? And Pope Francis must agree with Roncalli, since he canonized him!

Father Dominic Bourmand’s One Hundred Years of Modernism explains that much of the downgrading of devotion to Mary was at the instigation of one theologian, Fr. Karl Rahner, who was the personal theologian of German Cardinal Konig. Rahner had already run afoul of the Holy Office by protesting the Assumption of Mary and even the Virginal Maternity! But poor Pope John XXIII, in the darkness of his disobedience, overrode all opposition and approved Rahner’s participation along with other questionable “experts” such as Congar. Schillebeeckz, Kung, Ratzinger and Chenu.

After the Council, Pope John Paul II who is always glorified in “conservative” Catholic circles as “The Marian Pope”, even had a hand in dethroning Mary. On May 29, 1996, Pope John Paul II, citing Genesis 3,15 said,

“We have already had the occasion to point out that this version does not correspond to the Hebrew text, according to which it is not the woman but rather her [seed], her descendant, who was to crush the head of the serpent. This text attributes the victory over Satan not to Mary but to her Son.” (Bourmand, “One Hundred Years of Modernism”)

Father Bourmand correctly points out that

“The Pope knew that his interpretation went against the unanimous tradition of the Fathers and very particularly against the dogmatic bull of Pius XII defining the Assumption.”

This dethroning of Mary has become even worse as we continue to plumb the depths of auto-demolition under this Humble Pope of Surprises®. We have covered them previously.

We know that we will not err if we hold firm to the faith of our Fathers, as it has always been proclaimed and practiced. And so we turn to some prophetic quotes about our Immaculate Queen that may help us in these challenging times.

From St. Louis Marie de Montfort:

“The power of Mary over all devils will be particularly outstanding in the last period of time. She will extend the Kingdom of Christ over the idolaters and Moslems, and there will come a glorious era in which Mary will be the ruler and queen of human hearts.”

In 1665, Venerable Maria de Agreda:

“it is through the intercession of the Mother of God that all heresies will disappear. This victory over heresies has been reserved by Christ for His Blessed Mother. … In the last times, the Lord will especially spread the renown of His Mother: Mary began salvation and by her intercession it will be concluded. Before the second coming of Christ Mary must, more than ever, shine in mercy, might and grace in order to bring unbelievers into the Catholic Faith. The powers of Mary in the last times over the demons will be very conspicuous.

Mary will extend the reign of Christ over the heathens and Mohammedans and it will be a time of great joy when Mary, as Mistress and Queen of Hearts, is enthroned.

St. John Bosco, In an earlier post, “And they realized they were no longer in Rome

The vision of the Pope leading the faithful away from Rome, amidst fearful storms and darkness. ” … two angels were seen carrying a banner, going they presented it to the Holy Father and said: ‘Receive the banner of He Who fights and scatters the strongest armies of the world. Your enemies are dispersed. Your children with tears and sighs beg you to return.’ “Looking at the banner one could see written on one side, ‘Queen conceived without sin,’ and on the other side, ‘Help of Christians.’

From Father Gerald Culleton’s “The Prophets and our Times”, we read the prophecy of a Bernadine Sister dated sometime just prior to 1938:

“”I was shown in spirit the vast devastation caused by the devil throughout the world,” and at the same time she heard the Blessed Virgin telling her that it was true, hell had been let loose upon the earth; and that the time had come to pray to her as the Queen of Angels and to ask of her the assistance of the heavenly legions to fight against these deadly foes of God and of men.

“But my good Mother,” she replied, “You who are so kind could you not send them without our asking?”

“No,” Our Lady answered, “because prayer is one of the conditions required by God Himself for obtaining favors.” Then the Blessed Virgin communicated the following prayer, bidding her to have it printed and distributed.

Prayer to Mary, Queen of Angels

“August Queen of Heaven! Sovereign Mistress of Angels! ‘Thou who from the beginning has received from God the power and mission to crush the head of Satan: we humbly beseech thee to send thy holy legions, that under thy command, and by thy power, they may pursue the evil spirits: encounter them on every side: resist their bold attacks and drive them hence into the abyss of eternal woe. Amen.’”

This prayer with a slight variation is also available from the website, Tradition in Action and they also have available a lovely Holy Card with the prayer.

As Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen reminds us in The World’s First Love,

Mary is not only Mother of those who are in a state of grace, but is also Queen of those who are not. … Mary asks pardon even for those who, who as agents of satan, would recrucify her Son. Pope Pius XII says that she, as the true Queen of Martyrs, more than any of the faithful, filled up for His Body the Church the sufferings that were wanting to the Passion of Christ!

St. Gemma Galgani, of modern times, one day was interceding with Our Lord for the soul of a certain sinner. As Gemma pleaded for mercy, the Saviour recounted one by one his frightful and abnormal sins. After the Saviour had refused three times, St. Gemma Galgani said: “Then I shall ask your Mother.” Our Lord answered: “In that case, I cannot refuse.” An hour later the sinner in question came to the confessor of the saint and made his full confession.

Pope Leo XIII affirms in an encyclical on the Rosary: “It can be said that by a divine disposition nothing can be communicated to us from the infinite treasure of grace except through Mary. Thus just as no one can draw near to the Father save by means of the Son, so too ordinarily no one can draw near to Christ except by means of His mother.”

If you would like to renew your Consecrations, here is St. Maximilian Kolbe’s:

Total Consecration to the Immaculate Queen of Heaven

O Immaculata, Queen of Heaven and Earth, Refuge of sinners and our most loving Mother, whom God has made the treasurer of His mercy, I, an unworthy sinner, beseech thee to accept me as thy property and possession.

To thee, O Mother, I offer all the faculties of my soul and body, and I place my life, my death and my eternity in thy hands, that thou may use my entire being according to thy will. Use me, O Immaculate Virgin, as thou will to fulfill that which was written of thee – “She shall crush thy head”, and “Thou hast destroyed all heresies in all the world”.

Deign that I may become in thy most pure and merciful hands a useful instrument to make thee known and loved and to increase those who love thee in order that the Kingdom of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus may be established and spread throughout the world.

V. Vouchsafe that I may praise thee, O Sacred Virgin,
R. Give me strength against thy enemies!

As St. Albert the Great reminded us, Our Lady’s title, Queen of Mercy, Mother of Mercy could never be applied to any other, and we do well to turn to her especially in these times, so clouded by false mercy.

The Greatest Treason

“The last temptation is the greatest treason:
To do the right deed for the wrong reason.”

( “Murder in the Cathedral”, T. S. Eliot)

In the eleventh century, Saint Peter Damien wrote that, “The popes had politicized the papacy by appropriating its spiritual functions for secular ends.”

In the twentieth century, Father Malachi Martin wrote the following about recent popes, Pius XII, John XXIII, Paul VI, John Paul I and John Paul II,

“Marking the pontificates of each of those men was one fatal error, the use of their spiritual office to obtain leverage in the political, and diplomatic, and civic, and cultural worlds; and then using that leverage instead of the spiritual power and moral authority that was uniquely theirs.”

“And here, Your Eminences, we are at the root cause of our pain, our struggle, and our own deathly peril: our failure and the failure of our popes, to use the Church’s spiritual power to exercise its moral authority.”

This error that Father Malachi Martin and St. Peter Damien refers to, that is, politicizing the papacy by appropriating its spiritual functions for secular ends has been evident in virtually every single act of the current papacy. Its corollary is evident not only in the pope and hierarchy but throughout almost the entirety of the responses of the laity. I refer to the indifference to using the Church’s spiritual power to exercise its moral authority.

The Presentation of Mary in the Temple

Today, we honor the Blessed Virgin Mary on the feast day of her Presentation in the Temple, when her parents, Joachim and Anne, who had consecrated her to the Lord God, brought her to the Temple of Jerusalem.

"Hearken O Daughter and consider, and incline thine ear, forget also thine own people, and thy father's house. And so shall the King desire thy beauty, for He is the Lord thy God."
“Hearken O Daughter and consider, and incline thine ear, forget also thine own people, and thy father’s house. And so shall the King desire thy beauty, for He is the Lord thy God.”

We don’t expect that Pope Francis will honor Our Lady on her feast day today, so it is up to us, her children to honor our Mother today.  Although modernists disparage this feast for what they perceive as a “lack of historicity”, for those who are consecrated to her Immaculate Heart, this beautiful feast teaches volumes about Mary’s devotion to the most Holy Trinity. According to Venerable Maria de Agreda,  this beautiful mystery is a lesson of the importance of humility. Thus, it is a worthwhile meditation for our preparation for observing our Total Consecration December 8.

The Hebrew Ark of the Covenant was but a foreshadowing of the true Ark which is the most Blessed Virgin Mary herself; she who was foreordained to bear our Lord Jesus Christ, Savior. As our Little Office proclaims, “Thou wast the Mother of Him Who made thee, and thou remainest a Virgin forever”. And so, Joachim and Anne brought the true Royal Ark of the Covenant to the Temple, but to all appearances they were merely ordinary pious Jews of their time  bringing yet another consecrated child to the Temple.

Mother Maria de Agreda tells us of Mary, that God  “ordained in her regard that she receive no honor or recognition at that time, so that she (would) be the shining example of humility, of retirement, of contempt and horror for the dreadful vanity of the world, of love for sufferings … and dishonors inflicted by creatures. All holiness is adverse and contrary to the applause, honors and estimation of the world.”

“In ascending the fifteen stairs the Child brought to fulfillment, that, which Jacob saw happening in sleep; for here too were angels ascending and descending: the ones accompanying, the others meeting their Queen as She hastened up; whereas at the top God was waiting in order to welcome Her as his Daughter and Spouse.” (Ven. Agreda, “The Mystical City of God”)

What a fruitful scene for our meditations!  Firstly, we note that the Temple is stated to have 15 steps – which leads us to consider the 15 decades of the  Rosary by which we approach the Living Temple of the Trinity, the Blessed Virgin Mary. Think now, of this – the bittersweet moment of leave-taking for Joachim and Anne, who had prayed for many years for God to send them a child, only to be called to surrender her at the tender age of three! Then think of the Blessed Virgin responding to Our Father’s call. Psalm 44 speaks to us of this moment of surrender,

“Hearken O Daughter and consider, and incline thine ear, forget also thine own people, and thy father’s house. And so shall the King desire thy beauty, for He is the Lord thy God.” (Psalm 44, 11,12) .

Divine Providence Part 2

We are in the midst of the greatest spiritual chastisement in all of salvation history and tragically, most Catholics are not in any way making use of it. If we waste these graces we shall be swept up in the wreckage and perhaps into perdition.

And so, we continue from yesterday’s post regarding the Will of God in all things

Saint-Jure likens the evil-doers to leeches employed by a physician in order to purify and bring about a recovery. For us to focus on the repulsiveness of the leeches, only distracts us from our task of cooperating with the will of God, for the trials we are experiencing are, in the hands of the Divine Physician, merely tools for our salvation. Speaking of the evil-doers, Saint-Jure says,

Whatever their particular views may be, in regard to us they are only instruments of well being, guided by the hand of an all-good, all-wise, all-powerful God who will allow them to act on us only in so far as is of use to us. It is in our interest to welcome instead of trying to repel their assaults, as in very truth they come from God. [Note: Welcome as Christ welcomed His Passion and Death, with humble obedience to God’s will.] And it is the same with all creatures of whatever kind. Not one of them could act upon us unless the power were given it from above. This truth has always been familiar to the minds of those truly enlightened by God. We have a celebrated example in Job. He loses his children and his possessions; he falls from the height of fortune to the depths of poverty. And he says ‘The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away. As it hath pleased the Lord, so is it done. Blessed be the name of the Lord.’

St. Augustine notes,  “Job does not say ‘The Lord gave and the devil hath taken away’ but says, wise that he is, ‘The Lord gave me my children and my possessions, and it is He who has taken them away; it has been done as it has pleased the Lord.’ ”

He Is Not Sleeping!

“And when He entered into the boat, His disciples followed Him: And behold a great tempest arose in the sea, so that the boat was covered with waves, but He was asleep. And they came to Him, and awaked Him, saying: ‘Lord, save us, we perish.’ And Jesus saith to them: ‘Why are you fearful, O ye of little faith?’ Then rising up He commanded the winds, and the sea, and there came a great calm. But the men wondered, saying: ‘What manner of man is this, for the winds and the sea obey Him?’ “  (Matt. 8, 23-27)

He is not sleeping! He is chastening us! This is the spiritual chastisement which will deepen until we obey.

The quote above was from the reading for yesterday’s Gospel, the 24th Sunday after Pentecost. This Gospel is often applied today to the situation we are suffering through with the current pope of affliction who appears to be determined to sink the Barque of Peter, imperilling all within it. The concept of Our Lord sleeping through the storm which threatens us is a popular one with many Catholic sites today. A dear reader sent me one such quote from a prominent blog which took that view. Now, before we discuss the quote, please understand that I am not attacking another Catholic writer, but simply offering a perspective which keeps getting overlooked by many influential writers.

Now, let’s take a look at the quote which was sent to me:

“How could we expect God to turn a blind eye to the sacrilege and heresy that is endemic to almost every Novus Ordo Mass offered on the planet for the last 49 years – while the entire Church sat in the silence of complicity, more concerned with worldly approval than the Sacred, Wounded Heart of Our Blessed Lord, and His Mother?

“So, yes, He is sleeping under the poop as the storm rages, but we must remember His admonition: Why are you fearful? have you not faith yet? He will rise up, and He will say, “Peace, be still.” And the Barque of Peter will be saved from these devils, and it will lower its nets and bring in a great harvest of souls. We know this. We CANNOT doubt this.

“So, while I, in my weakness, like everyone else, keep thinking, “Please wake up, please wake up, we’re dying, we’re dying”, -these very words are in today’s Gospel and repeated again as nothing less than the antiphon of the Magnificat at Vespers:Lord, save us: * we perish; give the word, O God, and let there be a great calm!I am just going to go back to the poop deck and kneel down next to Him, stare at His Holy Face and keep whispering: Wake up, wake up. Save us. We are perishing.See you on the poop deck! Wake up… wake up.”

The above quote was from Bishop Rene Gracida’s post, “For reasons known only to the Lord, He seems to be asleep on the Barque of Peter but we have confidence that when He ‘wakes’ He will calm the hurricane Bergoglia” , in which he was quoting Barnhardt’s post, “We Perish! And Yet He Snoozeth on the Poop Deck” here. Please do note that I am not intending to attack either writer, but to provide what I hope will be a helpful interpretation of the storm in the light of Our Lady’s message at Fatima.

The Message of Fatima, Essential Things

† . † . †

The  Secret of the Secret of Fatima  is  reparative devotion to God through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  Until such time as reparation has been made  – or extracted from mankind – the fury of the chastisement, both material and spiritual,  will increase even as the grace and mercy of God will withdraw like the tide ebbing away before the tsunami rolls in.

It is difficult to do this matter justice in these circumstances. But you must know this: There is one essential devotion that you must do. The grace which is needed for the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary depends on it.

In Frere Michel’s Volume II  of The Whole Truth About Fatima, he thoroughly documents the resistance, indeed refusal, first by  Bishop da Silva, Fatima’s Ordinary, and then by Pope Pius XI, to even support the First Saturdays of Reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, much less establish this. Here is the crux of the problem, that few seem to grasp: The revelations of Our Lady at Fatima occurred in a specific order and this order is essential to the understanding of the message.

First and foremost message is Pray the Rosary every day. Then right after the vision of Hell, (which is a foundational revelation,) is the vision of her Immaculate Heart.  In that sequence alone, we are to understand that the requested devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary is essential to defeating sin and its eternal consequences in our own life. So, already, we understand, the daily Rosary is the basis for everything else which follows. Then, we must be aware and stay aware that our battle is against sin, and grasp that not only are we responsible for saving our souls but must pray and sacrifice to save sinners from this terrible fate.  And we are given at this third visit, the two means to do this, that is, the Rosary and the devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Now, if you would truly understand the Message of Fatima, invest some prayerful time reading and re-reading the dependable accounts of this Third Visit, which is the heart of the heart of the message. We therefore recall yet again:

Our Lady prefaced the vision of Hell with an important prayer:

“Sacrifice yourselves for sinners, and say many times, especially when you make some sacrifice: ‘O Jesus, it is for love of You, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.’ “

Note the sequence here: First and foremost, “O Jesus, it is for love of You.” Always Jesus first!

After the vision of Hell, the children turned to Our Lady for comfort and she told them:

You have seen Hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart.

If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace. The war is going to end but if people do not cease offending God, a worse one will break out during the reign of Pius XI.

When you see a night illumined by an unknown light, know that this is the great sign given you by God that He is about to punish the world for its crimes, by means of war, famine and persecutions against the Church and the Holy Father.

To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturdays.

If my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions against the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated.

In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and she will be converted, and a certain period of peace will be granted to the world.

In Portugal, the dogma of the faith will always be preserved, etc. Do not tell this to anybody. Francisco yes, you may tell him.

When you say the Rosary, say after each mystery, ‘O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fire of Hell, Lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who are most in need (of Thy mercy).

Note: Our Lady only said, “a certain period of peace will be granted to the world.” Enemies of the message of Fatima insist on attacking this as “millenarianism” which is very misleading. Our Lady only indicated a “certain period” of peace, certainly not a millenium.

Our Lady’s visits at Fatima were prefaced by the three visits of St. Michael demanding sacrifice and reparation, especially for Eucharistic abuses, and teaching the children the perfect act of Eucharistic Adoration. Then, Our Lady began her series of apparitions and by her third visit, had taught the children the importance of the daily Rosary, the reality and eternal character of Hell as a consequence of sin, the need for reparation for sins and for the conversion of sinners.

“To save them (sinners), God wishes to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart.”

In the Secret she had given them, we see that she mentions Pope Pius XI. She is calling him out by name, before that name even existed, for the Pope of 1917 was  Benedict XV. Therefore, we see that when Our Lady returned in the reign of Pius XI, and asked for the First Saturdays of Reparation, she was directing this request to Pius XI personally. How tragic that this Pope refused even such a small request! Frere Michel, in Volume II, documents extensively the frantic actions of this pathetic Pope, and all of them failed because he refused the simple requests of Our Lady.  In fact, on his watch, Russia, by now possessed by the satanic fury of marxism, spread her errors like wildfire and many millions of Christians suffered and died. Thus, the fulfillment of the prophecy, “The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated.” That is not to imply that we have seen the end of this dire prophecy, far from it!

Our Lady’s first request was for the First Saturdays of Reparation. Once again, we note the sequence. Had this small devotion been established by the Pope, the grace that would have resulted would have facilitated the Consecration of Russia.  By obediently establishing in the world devotion to her Immaculate Heart with the First Saturdays, the Pope would have nourished his own faith and the faith of millions of Catholics throughout the world, thus allowing for the Consecration of Russia.

Lùcia’s own Bishop, da Silva, refused this small but essential devotion.  Then, Pope Pius XI refused to establish it. Now, recall the words of Our Lady,  “To save them (sinners), God wishes to establish  in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart.”

The operative word here is “establish”. This is a directive to the Pope for it is his responsibility to establish devotions.  No Pope has in any way established this important devotion. How many Bishops have called for it, or have themselves set the example publicly?

To be perfectly clear: if you do not observe and promote this devotion (within your limited means), you will be held accountable.  This devotion, after the previous ones cited, is not optional; indeed it is more urgent now than ever before.

God Our Father knows all things and most certainly knew that the Vatican would resist the message of Our Lady. Therefore, the inevitable conclusion is that the Message is intended for us now, more than ever. It is for us to see how this horrid state of affairs came about and therefore how it may be remedied.

The problem began with wilfull disobedience on the part of the Pope and hierarchy, joined by disobedience of the laity and it can only be remedied by obedience to God’s commands, through the Blessed Virgin Mary, for the remedial, reparative devotions she has requested.

Our Lady of the Rosary has given us a simple, straightforward path, If only I could help people understand it!  Please join Our Lady in this battle! So many souls depend on you!

Please, it is never to late to Return to the Message of Fatima!

Pray the Rosary and confound satan and those who serve him.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of our hearts, Mother of the Church, do thou offer to the Eternal Father the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, for the conversion of poor sinners, especially our Pontiff.
