The Darkness Comes

“…The same preternatural impulse moves the homicidal fury of Islam and the suicidal nihilism of the West. The prince of darkness, being unable to make himself God, wants to destroy everything of God as well as everything resembling Christian Civilization. Without this diabolic infestation it is difficult to understand what is happening in the world.” (Dr. de Mattei)

 The Darkness Cometh

The following is a repost from last April. At that time, there were not as many Catholic voices raised in warning about the coming storm of Islamic persecution of Christians. Now, many are noting and speaking up.  Of the many voices attempting to interpret the Message of Fatima in these times of gathering darkness, perhaps Roberto de Mattei’s is the clearest. From Rorate Caeli:

The stars of 148 new martyrs are shining brightly in the firmament of the Church. The young Christian victims of Islam, last Holy Thursday in Kenya, must not be pitied, but envied as they were given the immense grace of martyrdom.

They are martyrs inasmuch as they were Christians killed by Allah’s soldiers. What makes a martyr such, is not the violent death in itself, but the fact that it was inflicted in hatred of the Christian Faith. It is not death itself that makes the martyr, says St. Augustine but that their suffering and death be ordered to the truth. Not all of the victims of a persecution may be called martyrs, [but] only those who meet death at the hands of killers who hate the Faith.

We need to have the courage to name the killers. Silence continues on the events that have been going on for some time now: a systematic, planetary Islamic persecution against Christians. After the episodes in Kenya, Pope Francis read this beautiful prayer: “In Your face – struck [spat upon and disfigured], we see our sin, in You we see our brothers and sisters, persecuted, decapitated and crucified for their faith in You, before our very eyes and often with our complicit silence.”

Antonio Socci, who has often denounced the “complicit silence” of the highest ecclesiastical authorities, writes in Libero: “We are waiting for Pope Francis, from that [Vatican] window, with all of the prestige he enjoys in the media, to awaken the powerful of the earth, mobilize his diplomacy and let everyone hear the cries of grief and pain from the persecuted Christians; may he indicate continuous prayers from the entire Church, may he launch a great humanitarian initiative for these persecuted Christians.”

We need to acknowledge that there is a war of religion in act against Jesus Christ and His Church, fought in the name of the Koran’s Surah which says: “Kill the infidels wherever you find them. This is the recompense for the unbelievers.” (2,191). This war was not waged by Christians, but has been taken up against them. Why don’t the Western governments fight it? The answer is that the West shares the same hate the persecutors have against their own Christian roots.

Western secularism not only … persecutes and ridicules those who defend the natural Christian order of things, but it also practices mass genocide. Monsignor Luc Ravel, Bishop of the French military forces, affirmed:

“We find ourselves having to choose which side to be on; we find ourselves arming against manifest evil without taking a position against the [more] devious kind. The Christian senses that he is caught in a pincer between two ideologies: on the one hand, one that makes a caricature of God which ends up despising man; on the other hand, the manipulation of man which ends up despising God. On the one side, there are the declared and identified adversaries: the terrorists of the bomb, the vindicators of the prophet; on the other side, there are the undeclared but well-known adversaries: the terrorists of thought, promoters of secularism and idolaters of the Republic. In which camp are Christians to be placed? We don’t want to be taken hostage by the Muslims. But we don’t even want to be taken hostage by the conformists either. The Islamic ideology has murdered 17 victims in France. But the ideology of the conformist has 200 thousand victims each year in the wombs of their mothers. Abortion intended as a fundamental “right” is a weapon of mass-destruction.”

The hate the West nurtures for the Church and Christian Civilization is the hate for its own soul and identity. “The West’s self-hate – wrote Benedict XVI – can be considered only as something pathological” : the West is open to and full of comprehension for outside values, “but it no longer loves itself; it now only sees what is shameful and destructive in its history, while it is no longer able to perceive what is great and pure.”

Today the West rejects the values upon which it built its identity and simply chooses the destructive heredity of the Enlightenment, Marxism and Freudism. The gender theory represents the latest intellectual passage of the mind’s disassociation from reality which turns into a pathological hate for human nature itself. Andrea Lubitz by crashing his Airbus into the Alps with 150 passengers, is the expression of this spirit of self-destruction. Suicide is an extreme but coherent expression of the depressed West: a state of mind where the soul sinks into nullity, after losing all reason to live. When absolute relativism is professed one is only self-fulfilled in death.

The slaughter in Garissa is not a “senseless brutality”,  just like the German pilot’s suicide is not an act of pure madness. These destructive or self destructive acts, have their own aberrant logic. The depression of the apostates from Christianity corresponds to the exaltation of the fanatics of Allah: the equilibrium in the world was broken when it turned its back on Christian principles. And the same preternatural impulse moves the homicidal fury of Islam and the suicidal nihilism of the West. The prince of darkness, being unable to make himself God, wants to destroy everything of God as well as everything resembling Christian Civilization. Without this diabolic infestation it is difficult to understand what is happening in the world. And without an Angelic intervention it is impossible to combat a battle which had its first action at the moment of creation, when the Angelic front was divided into two forces perennially in opposition throughout the history of the created universe.

The message of Fatima sees Our Lady preceded and accompanied by Angels. And those who have read the Third Secret will remember the tragic vision of a great cross where at its foot the Pope is also killed : “Beneath the two arms of the Cross there were two Angels each with a crystal aspersorium in his hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the Martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that were making their way to God.” As it was at the very beginning of Christianity, the blood of Christians is the seed of rebirth in history and of victory in eternity.

Do not forget, at Fatima, Our Lady of the Rosary said she would return again, that is to say, there is another visit of the the Immaculate Mother of God. This will be her victorious moment when Islam will be converted and the Church will be restored, the darkness dispelled!

Immaculate Heart of Mary, we place our trust in thee, our shelter from the storm.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, return in triumph, restore the Faith!
St. Michael the Archangel defend us in battle!

Fatima, Vatican II and the Chastisement 2

For those who have asked, here is our third installment. Previous posts were Fatima, Vatican II and the Chastisement and Seven Trumpets.

And there were given to them seven trumpets...
And there were given to them seven trumpets…

Like many others in these dark and confused times, I read (and reread!)  the Apocalypse and books of Catholic prophecy by approved Catholic authors. Today, we have the benefit of a perspective that includes more history than that which was available to previous exegetes of the Apocalypse. In particular, we have the Message of Fatima, from the Queen of Heaven herself, plus the benefit of what we have observed and learned about the Second Vatican Council and its effects on the Church and the world. And with every passing day, Pope Francis and his cohort make the apostasy of the faith ever clearer.

In this series of posts, I hope to look at a few passages from St. John’s Apocalypse in the light of recent history. For our purposes, the term ‘recent’ refers to the events a little before Our Lady of the Rosary’s visits to Fatima in 1917 and on up to the present day, that is to the Synod and its sequelae. I am no expert in this, but simply offer these thoughts as an opportunity to get a discussion going. From what my readers tell me, there is a real need for this, and if we can at least get people discussing it, I hope we can help spread the message of Fatima and prepare for what is to come. I anticipate hate mail and criticism, and that’s OK. If you can improve on this, please be sure that I will support you, especially with my prayers. I do welcome all helpful criticism and contributions to the discussion. My email is in the sidebar.

Let’s start with Chapter 8.

[1] And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven, as it were for half an hour. [2] And I saw seven angels standing in the presence of God; and there were given to them seven trumpets. [3] And another angel came, and stood before the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given to him much incense, that he should offer of the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar, which is before the throne of God. [4] And the smoke of the incense of the prayers of the saints ascended up before God from the hand of the angel. [5] And the angel took the censer, and filled it with the fire of the altar, and cast it on the earth, and there were thunders and voices and lightnings, and a great earthquake.

[6] And the seven angels, who had the seven trumpets, prepared themselves to sound the trumpet. [7] And the first angel sounded the trumpet, and there followed hail and fire, mingled with blood, and it was cast on the earth, and the third part of the earth was burnt up, and the third part of the trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. [8] And the second angel sounded the trumpet: and as it were a great mountain, burning with fire, was cast into the sea, and the third part of the sea became blood: [9] And the third part of those creatures died, which had life in the sea, and the third part of the ships was destroyed. [10] And the third angel sounded the trumpet, and a great star fell from heaven, burning as it were a torch, and it fell on the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters:

[11] And the name of the star is called Wormwood. And the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter. [12] And the fourth angel sounded the trumpet, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars, so that the third part of them was darkened, and the day did not shine for a third part of it, and the night in like manner. [13] And I beheld, and heard the voice of one eagle flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice: Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth: by reason of the rest of the voices of the three angels, who are yet to sound the trumpet.

Father Herman Kramer in his Book of Destiny  explains that the angels exemplify the invisible decrees of God, “for they later at fore-ordained moments blow the trumpets … to announce the beginning of scourges that punish infidelity. … The trumpets announce the advent of judgements. The prophets call themselves God’s trumpets when they announce the coming judgements, wars and enemies.”

So, let’s go with that reasonable interpretation. Throughout salvation history, God makes us aware of His mighty justice when we have presumed against His mercy for a prolonged period. As willful children who continue to provoke their Father, mankind occasionally must be reminded that God is just as much as He is merciful. These days, the excessive emphasis on God’s “nonjudgemental” mercy is actually a form of hubris, a prideful presumption of our “preciousness” in assuming that we will face no consequences of our defiance against God.

In my earlier post, Seven Trumpets, I explained the relationship between Pope Paul VI, Vatican II and the Seven Trumpets of the Apocalypse.

In verse 3, we find, “And another angel came, and stood before the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given to him much incense, that he should offer of the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar, which is before the throne of God.” Although Father Kramer here interprets the golden altar, “typifies a grand institution in the Church, the religious orders, especially the contemplative life.” I do not see it so, it appears to be exactly what it says, a golden (i.e., perfectly pure) altar, indeed the altar of the Sacrifice of the Mass, the unbloody sacrifice of Calvary and the magnificent Sacrament of His love, the Holy Eucharist, God with us.  Our Lord Jesus Christ is the perfectly pure golden altar, whereon all our holy saints have offered their lives as an oblation (incense) to the Eternal Father. Father Kramer says of this passage, “The golden altar, the fire upon it, the incense and the golden censer are all symbols of the religious life, the life of prayer.” I believe It is more correct to see the symbolism here as the oblations of the saints in union with, and based on, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. While Father K. emphasizes the offerings of the saints, he overlooks the most important part, that is that the oblations of the saints are based upon union with Christ in the most Blessed Sacrament. Father Kramer could never have anticipated the wholesale degradation of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass or the horrible blasphemies against Our Lord in His sacrament of love that have resulted from the disastrous Council.

In verses 4 and 5 we have, “And the smoke of the incense of the prayers of the saints ascended up before God from the hand of the angel. And the angel took the censer, and filled it with the fire of the altar, and cast it on the earth, and there were thunders and voices and lightnings, and a great earthquake.” So the saints offer prayers to God, but then, the Angel fills the censer with fire and then casts the fire upon the earth, causing thunders, lightning and a great earthquake. Note that when the Angel fills the censer, he puts in no incense. This indicates no prayers.  Father Kramer earlier explained that the fire represents both love and hatred.

My interpretation of this is that it predicts the effects of the post-conciliar “reforms” , i.e., that the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will become neglected, debased, while saintly souls will diminish in number and God’s Angel of Justice will convict the world of these offenses by casting fire (punishment for disobedience) on the earth, resulting in “thunders, voices and lightnings and a great earthquake”. In this context, these signs show a warning of God’s judgement soon to follow. Note that the order of these images is reversed from that of Chapter 4, verse 5. The reversal is significant, as the first instance is positive, and this is the contrary. There seems to be a consensus that the earthquake represents the overthrow of an existing order; it presages the impending overthrow of the right order of the Church. Thus, this first Angel is warning of the falling away of the faith, of the changes that were being planned long before Vatican II was convoked.

In verse 7, “And the first Angel sounded the trumpet, and there followed hail and fire, mingled with blood, and it was cast on the earth, and the third part of the earth was burnt up, and the third part of the trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.” Father Berry in his “The Apocalypse of St. John”  explains that the fire is a chastisement from heaven for disobedience, and the fire mingled with blood represents wars and revolutions, which marked the 20th century perhaps more than ever before. The hail, blood and fire represent immense bloodshed, and it appears to indicate the violence of the abortions of hundreds of millions of innocent babies before they could be baptised. Within just a few years after Vatican II, abortion swept over the earth. Without the Consecration, Russia has been unable to convert and today, there are two abortions for every live birth in Russia!

The hail is a sign of judgement for heresy, and it is clear that heresy both contributed to and resulted from Vatican II. The death and destruction of the trees and grass represents the destruction of fertility, both material and spiritual, caused by this scourge of disobedience.

Verses 8 and 9, “And the second angel sounded the trumpet: and as it were a great mountain, burning with fire, was cast into the sea, and the third part of the sea became blood: And the third part of those creatures died, which had life in the sea, and the third part of the ships was destroyed.” This echoes Old Testament passages where Babylon is referred to. In this case, it indicates Islam, as Father Kramer rightly intuited long before the current resurgence of this ancient heresy. Islam is drenching the world with blood and spreading like a diabolical firestorm.

In identifying Islam as the second scourge, Father K. explains that Islam, “is a religion of crude materialism … It not only brought spiritual death to the regions it conquered, but a bloody death to all who opposed its progress.” The ships destroyed are Catholic churches destroyed by the Islamists.

In verses 10 and 11 we meet the third Angel. “And the third angel sounded the trumpet, and a great star fell from heaven, burning as it were a torch, and it fell on the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters: And the name of the star is called Wormwood. And the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.” This third scourge affects the divine institution of the Church. A great star falls from heaven, and is not extinguished but burns, scourging the the “fountains of waters”, indicating damage to the source, in this case the source of the rivers of supernatural life in the Church, the sacraments. Note that it does not mix with the waters, it transforms them, changing the very nature of the sacraments  into something bitter, which destroys the souls of many. This indicates the loss of faith throughout the church through the corruption of the Mass and the sacraments, the corruption of the liturgy, and of catechesis.

Who is Wormwood? In Chapter 1, 20, John explains that the stars are Angels of the churches, thus, wormwood is a Bishop, actually, a great Bishop, the Bishop of Rome, the Pontiff. This great star was Pope John XXIII, who fell from grace by his defiance of the command of God. Failing to obey our Lady’s wishes, he not only refused to perform the Consecration, he also refused to reveal the secret which Our Blessed Mother had expressly ordered the Pope to reveal in 1960. This Bishop does not lose his office when apostatizing but falling, he causes others to fail in their faith and he would lose the light with which to enlighten the world. The name “Wormwood” indicates apostasy, as has been noted of the unreleased Third Secret of Fatima, which refers to an apostasy which begins at the top. In Jeremiah, wormwood is threatened as a food for false prophets and perverse priests, especially those who encouraged evildoers in sin. Doesn’t that seem appropriate for these corrupt conciliar prelates?

Father Kramer goes on to explain that wormwood symbolizes perverting the sources of grace and the spiritual life into poison and bitterness. By perverting the faith, the wormwood of modernism (and now neo-modernism) let loose on the Church by disobedient Pope John XXIII established a schism in the Church, but this time the schismatics were the modernist revolutionaries who assumed control of the structures of the visible church, casting out faithful Catholics. The revolutionaries had the visible structures, but the faithful traditional Catholics kept the faith.

From Father Kramer, “Wormwood will be the refreshment of all bishops and priests who mislead the people by false standards and practice injustice against faithful pastors. Selfish ambition and advancement in the church for earthly gain is their object. This fallen star changes the sources of spiritual life into wormwood, into sources of spiritual death by disobedience, pride and ambition. … He turns truth into falsehood.”

Father believes this portion to refer to the Greek Schism, but as we know, biblical prophecies can have more than one meaning, refer to more than one instance. The Greek Schism was a serious source of error and spiritual death in the Church, but the modernist revolution within the Church, taking over the structures of the church, is far more serious.

Verse 12: “And the fourth angel sounded the trumpet, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars, so that the third part of them was darkened, and the day did not shine for a third part of it, and the night in like manner.” This indicates the lights of heaven dimmed, which is a clear reference to the disastrous results of the Second Vatican Council and its deleterious results on the Church. The beauty and fecundity of the Church is nearly destroyed. The true Church is reduced to an embattled and weakened Remnant. In the Old Testament, both Isaiah and Ezekiel use the description of the darkening of the sun, moon and stars, and here it indicates a calamity befalling the Church, dimming her glory and ushering in a rapid decline in her ability to enlighten the world.

We conclude this post with verse 13: “And I beheld, and heard the voice of one eagle flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice: Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth: by reason of the rest of the voices of the three angels, who are yet to sound the trumpet.”

Think on this for next time.

And they realized they were no longer in Rome…

“And they realized they were no longer in Rome …”

St. John Bosco’s prophecy of the two pillars is fairly well known, but he also made another prophecy, which is related in the book by Rev. Gerald Culleton, The Prophets and Our Times:

“And to you, Rome, what will happen? Ungrateful Rome! Effeminate Rome! proud Rome!

“Rome! To you I will come four times! The first time, I shall strike your lands and the inhabitants thereof. The second time, I shall bring the massacre and the slaughter even to your very walls. And will you not yet open your eyes I shall come a third time and I shall beat down to the ground your defenses and the defenders and at the command of the Father, the reign of terror, of dreadful fear and of desolation shall enter into your city.

“But My wise men have now fled and My law is even now trampled underfoot. Therefore I will make a fourth visit. Woe to you if My law shall still be considered as empty words. There will be deceit and falsehood among both the learned and the ignorant. Your blood and that of your children will wash away your stains upon God’s Law. War, pestilence and famine are the rods to scourge men’s pride and wickedness. O wealthy men, where is your glory now, your estates, your palaces? They are rubble on the highways and byways. …

"And they realized they were no longer in Rome..."
“And they realized they were no longer in Rome…”

“It was a dark night. Men could no longer tell which way to take in order to return to their homes. Of a sudden there appeared in the heavens a very bright light that illuminated the steps of the travelers as though it were mid-day. At that moment there was seen a host of men and women, of young and old, of nuns, monks and priests with the Holy Father at the head. They were going out from the Vatican and were arranging themselves in line for a procession. “Then there came a furious storm which clouded that light somewhat and made it appear that light and darkness were engaged in battle. In the meantime, they arrived at a little square covered with dead and wounded, some of whom cried aloud and asked for help.

“Very many were dropping out of the line of procession. After having walked for a time that would correspond to two hundred risings of the sun (200 days) they all realized that they were no longer in Rome. Struck with fear they all ran to the Holy Father to defend him personally and to attend his wants. Instantly two angels were seen carrying a banner, going they presented it to the Holy Father and said: ‘Receive the banner of He Who fights and scatters the strongest armies of the world. Your enemies are dispersed. Your children with tears and sighs beg you to return.’ “Looking at the banner one could see written on one side, ‘Queen conceived without sin,’ and on the other side, ‘Help of Christians.’

“The Holy Father joyfully took the banner, but looking closely at the small number of those who remained with him, he became very sad. “The two angels added: ‘Go quickly to console your children. Write your brothers dispersed throughout the world that there must be a reform in the morals of men. That cannot be obtained except by distributing to the people the bread of the Divine Word. Catechize the children. Preach the detaching of the heart from the things that are of the earth. The time has come,’ concluded the two angels, ‘when the poor shall evangelize the people. Vocations will come from among those working with the spade, the axe, and the hammer to the end that they fulfill the words of David: ‘God has raised up the poor from the land in order to place them on the thrones of the princes of His people.

“Having heard that, the Holy Father began the march. The farther he went the greater did the procession behind increase. When finally he set foot in the Holy City, he wept bitter tears for the distress in which he found the people and the large number now missing. As he entered St. Peter’s he intoned the ‘Te Deum’ to which a choir of angels replied singing: ‘Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to men of good will. “With the ending of the hymn, there came an end to the thick darkness and the sun shone with a brightness all its own. (From Rev. Gerald Culleton, The Prophets and Our Times, Kindle Edition, by KIC)

Just a few notes on this fascinating prophecy:

  • Note the mention of darkness, confusion, the impression that “light and darkness were engaged in battle.” An apt description of this current age of apostasy.
  • When the Pope and those faithful to him left Rome (journeying to the peripheries perhaps?), they passed by faithful Catholics wounded and dying and took note of them, but there is no mention of offering them aid, is there?
  • As the Pope advanced farther from Rome, very many dropped out. Seems to indicate that the farther the Pope gets from the true dogmas of the Faith, the less Catholics are inclined to follow, as we see in the grim statistics marking the withering “Springtime” of Vatican II.
  • But the most significant portion of the prophecy is when the two angels appear to tell the Pope: ‘Receive the banner of He Who fights and scatters the strongest armies of the world. Your enemies are dispersed. Your children with tears and sighs beg you to return.’ “Looking at the banner one could see written on one side, ‘Queen conceived without sin,’ and on the other side, ‘Help of Christians.’ In this, as in his prophecy of the Two Pillars, St. John Bosco affirms that Christ the King prefers to conquer through means of His Most Blessed Mother. The banner of Christ the King bears two of her titles: The first, “conceived without sin” is of course, the Immaculate Conception and the second title is also very informative, Mary Help of Christians, Our Lady of Victory. That is her title for vanquishing the Muslims, which will be accomplished at her last apparition at Fatima to end the Islamist war on Christians.

Please, pray the Rosary and confound the devil!

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of our hearts, Mother of the Church, do thou offer to the Eternal Father the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, for the conversion of poor sinners, especially our Pontiff.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy Kingdom come, Viva Cristo Rey!

St. Joseph, guardian of the Holy Family, protect our families, protect our priests!

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.

With Our Lady’s Rosary, We Can Crush the Head Of Satan

Update Nov. 16, 2015: In this post from last April, I warn that Islamic terrorists will come for Europe and even for the U.S. The events of Paris prove that this is a fact. Please see my more recent post, Paris in Prophecy for vital information regarding this escalation of the spiritual combat between the Blessed Virgin and satan.

Update: The Wall Street Journal has an interesting update Bishop Doeme’s Rosary Crusade in Nigeria. According to the article, In recent weeks, troops have punched deep into Boko Haram territory, forcing the murderers to flee into the mountains, leaving behind about a thousand women and girls held hostage. We must keep up our rosaries for these poor traumatised women and children, casualties of satan’s war on the children of Christ. Please pray the Rosary daily that Our Lady may crush the head of Satan!

With the sword of the Rosary, we can defeat even the most powerful servant of satan. That is why Boko Haram’s days are numbered. If we will pray the Rosary, it will be done, as Our Lord has promised. With the Rosary we shall overcome satan and all his minions.

Thoughtful Catholics can see that Islam is a scourge against Christians, and Catholics in particular. Lately even Pope Francis has left off praying with muslims in order to speak about their slaughter of Christians. If this keeps up, he may actually do something useful to help beleaguered Catholics. Even the Vatican’s exorcist, Father Amorth has confirmed that ISIS is satanic. But very few in the Church hierarchy have offered any plans for combatting Islam’s diabolical attacks on innocent Christians. Until Bishop Oliver Dashe Doeme of Maiduguri, Nigeria, that is.

Doeme said recently, “Towards the end of last year I was in my chapel before the Blessed Sacrament… praying the rosary, and then suddenly the Lord appeared,” In the vision, the prelate said, Jesus didn’t say anything at first, but extended a sword toward him, and he in turn reached out for it. “As soon as I received the sword, it turned into a rosary,” the bishop said, adding that Jesus then told him three times: “Boko Haram is gone.”

“I didn’t need any prophet to give me the explanation,” he said. “It was clear that with the rosary we would be able to expel Boko Haram.”

Just last month, Boko Haram pledged its allegiance to ISIS – also known as the Islamic State – which launched a bloody campaign in Iraq and Syria last summer.

Bishop Doeme is now spreading the Divine command to pray the Rosary in faith and trust that with this Rosary we will defeat ISIS and the other slaves of satan. His Excellency said,

“In 2009, “we witnessed the emergence of Boko Haram, a demonic cult, which arose to ban Western education.” The explanation of how they could have gone so far requires following the money trail, the bishop suggested. The terrorist group “has funding and very powerful backers both inside and outside the country,” he said.

The bishop went on to enumerate some of the atrocities, including the destruction of 50 churches and 59 primary schools, 15 parish rectories and 40 convents of religious sisters.

“Despite all this, we do not give up our public witness to our faith,” Doeme said. “I wear my episcopal robes publicly, because on the day I agreed to be bishop I knew I was signing my death sentence,” he said.

His Excellency warned that Africa is not alone in suffering the advance of evil. “In Europe and America you have your own demons,” he said: “abortion, homosexual pseudo-marriage, and secularism.” Bishop Doeme said,  “We are seeing the end of Boko Haram,” he said. “Our faith is unwavering: even when they suffer killings, Christians still go to church and Christian activities in public life continue.”

“It may take a few months or a few years … but ‘Boko Haram is gone.” … “prayer, particularly the prayer of the rosary, is (what) will deliver us from the claws of this demon, the demon of terrorism. And of course, it is working.”

“They can destroy our buildings and our lives, but they cannot destroy our faith in Christ,” he said. (See Breitbart here.)

We confess Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God, our Savior.
We confess Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God, our Savior.

Sister Lucia, in her interview with Father Fuentes, December 27, 1957 assured us,

“The Most Holy Virgin in these last times in which we live has given a new efficacy to the recitation of the Holy Rosary. She has given this efficacy to such an extent that there is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether temporal or above all, spiritual, in the personal life of each one of us, of our families, of the families of the world, or of the religious communities, or even of the life of peoples and nations, that cannot be solved by the Rosary. There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary. With the Holy Rosary, we will save ourselves. We will sanctify ourselves. We will console Our Lord and obtain the salvation of many souls.”

It is among the greatest tragedies of our times that after so many well-documented miracles of the Rosary, and even after Our Lady of the Rosary’s repeated requests to pray the Rosary, so few turn to it, and so many Catholics, even priests and Bishops treat the Rosary with indifference.

But as Sister Lucia assured us,

“We should not wait for an appeal to the world to come from Rome on the part of the Holy Father, to do penance. Nor should we wait for the call to penance to come from our bishops in our diocese, nor from the religious congregations. No! Our Lord has already very often used these means and the world has not paid attention. That is why now, it is necessary for each one of us to begin to reform himself spiritually. Each person must not only save his own soul but also help all the souls that God has placed on our path.

“The devil does all in his power to distract us and to take away from us the love for prayer; we shall be saved together or we shall be damned together.”

Coming Soon To You!
Coming Soon To You!

It is foolish indeed to think that islamic terrorists will limit their violence to the distant lands of Africa and the mid-east. No, they will come for Europe, they will come for the U.S. An ISIS training camp already exists in Mexico according to recent news reports. And the answer is so simple, “Pray the Rosary and offer penance!”

Many powerful Rosary miracles have been recounted, and we could have so many more, if only we heed Our Lady of Fatima. We can all sit on our hands and wait for Pope Francis to plant another tree with muslims or we can pray the Rosary in union with all the faithful who are supporting Bishop Doeme and the Nigerian Catholics to drive satan’s minions out of their diocese, out of their homes.

Pray the Rosary and confound the devil!

Our Lady of Victory, crush the head of ISIS!

The Gathering Darkness

“…The same preternatural impulse moves the homicidal fury of Islam and the suicidal nihilism of the West. The prince of darkness, being unable to make himself God, wants to destroy everything of God as well as everything resembling Christian Civilization. Without this diabolic infestation it is difficult to understand what is happening in the world.”

Of the many voices attempting to interpret the Message of Fatima in these times of gathering darkness, perhaps Roberto de Mattei’s is the clearest. The following post comes to us, as always, thanks to Rorate Caeli, is by far the best.

The martyrs of the University campus in Garissa, join the countless legions of witnesses to the Faith that have been massacred over the last two centuries by the persecutors of the Church. The first genocide of modern times was conducted by the French Revolution. At least 438 religious, nuns and simple lay folk are already venerated as “blessed” and for the other 591 the processes are now in course for the recognition of their martyrdom “in odium fidei”. We can add the Spanish Civil War’s holocaust to this (1936-1939) where 1,512 were beatified and 11 canonized, but the number of victims at the hands of the anarchists and communists is in the tens of thousands.

On October 13th 2013 at Tarragona in Catalonia, 522 people killed in hatred of the Faith, before and during the religious war in Spain, were beatified. It was a ceremony with the greatest number of Beatified – 522 – and surpassed the one held in Rome, in St. Peter’s Square on October 27th 2007. Their names are added to the innumerable martyrs of communism, secularism and now by Islam, in countries all over the world.

The appeal appears to have been picked up by Ernesto Galli della Loggia who proposed to the Italian government, from “Il Corriere della Sera” of April 5th , a fundraising project directed at all Italians and all of the Nation’s public and private institutions, to raise the funds necessary for a large dispatch of goods to help the persecuted Christians. All of this however is not enough, when there is a war raging.

Western secularism not only processes, persecutes and ridicules those who defend the natural Christian order of things, but it also practices mass genocide.

And those who have read the Third Secret will remember the tragic vision of a great cross where at its foot the Pope is also killed : “Beneath the two arms of the Cross there were two Angels each with a crystal aspersorium in his hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the Martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that were making their way to God.”As it was at the very beginning of Christianity, the blood of Christians is the seed of rebirth in history and of victory in eternity.

The Message of Fatima – 2015

Please note, this post has been updated since Father Gruner’s death.

The following post has been reposted from time to time due to its relevance.  If you find it useful, please send it along to others who might benefit. Thank you!

The oldest of the shepherd children of Fatima, Lucia explained the message of Fatima to Father Fuentes years later:

Father, the Most Holy Virgin did not tell me that we are in the last times of the world, but She made me understand this for three reasons.”

Sister Lucia of Fatima at Dorothean Convent, 1945
Sister Lucia of Fatima at Dorothean Convent, 1945

“The first reason is because She told me that the devil is in the mood for engaging in a decisive battle against the Virgin. And a decisive battle is the final battle where one side will be victorious and the other side will suffer defeat. Also, from now on we must choose sides. Either we are for God or we are for the devil. There is no other possibility.

“The second reason is because She said to my cousins as well as to myself, that God is giving two last remedies to the world. These are the Holy Rosary and devotion to the Immaculate Heart of MaryThese are the last two remedies which signify that there will be no others.”

“The third reason is because in the plans of Divine Providence, God always, before He is about to chastise the world, exhausts all other remedies. Now, when He sees that the world pays no attention whatsoever, then as we say in our imperfect manner of speaking, He offers us with certain fear the last means of salvation, His Most Holy Mother. It is with certain fear because if you despise and repulse this ultimate means, we will not have any more forgiveness from Heaven, because we will have committed a sin which the Gospel calls the sin against the Holy Ghost. This sin consists of openly rejecting, with full knowledge and consent, the salvation which He offers. Let us remember that Jesus Christ is a very good Son and that He does not permit that we offend and despise His Most Holy Mother. … Our Lord Jesus Christ has always defended the honor of His Mother.”

“Look, Father, the Most Holy Virgin in these last times in which we live has given a new efficacy to the recitation of the Rosary, to such an extent that there is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether temporal or above all spiritual, in the personal life of each one of us, of our families, of the families of the world, or of the religious communities, or even of the life of peoples and nations, that cannot be solved by the Rosary. There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary. With the Holy Rosary we will save ourselves, we will sanctify ourselves, we will console Our Lord and obtain the salvation of many souls.”

“Finally, devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Our Most Holy Mother, consists in considering Her as the seat of mercy, of goodness and of pardon, and as the certain door by which we are to enter Heaven.”

The message of Fatima is then that we are now in a life or death struggle, even though most people are oblivious. As Sister Lucia warns us, “we must choose sides. Either we are for God or we are for the devil. There is no other possibility.Where do you stand?

The purpose of this blog is to call Catholics to return to Fatima. Re-examine the message given to us by the Blessed Virgin Mary. Remove the blinders that are making you think that Fatima was “a long time ago, and is no longer relevant”.

Fatima’s message is more relevant today than it ever was. When Pope John XXIII refused to release the message that Our Lady commanded be released in the year 1960, the world experienced a spiritual shock: the Vicar of Christ on earth refusing to obey the Mother of Christ. Never before in history has such a thing happened.

The Face of Martyrs

During the liturgical year, we are first presented with Jesus, working His first miracle while still hidden in Mary’s immaculate womb. And then we meet Him helpless, wrapped in swaddling clothes and laid in a manger. And now, in Lent, we approach Him as He strides towards His Passion and death. Always, we seek His face, we seek to gaze into His eyes and try to understand this God-Man Who has loved us even unto death, and loves us still in this, the Passion of His Mystical Body.

And now, during the Passion and yes, I will say it! The death of His Mystical Body, for this is a death to all appearances, a death from which the Church will rise victorious, but nevertheless a death. Now during these days, we seek His face all the more, confused as we are, distracted and disheartened by our unfaithful leaders. Where is the face of Jesus today?

THE POPE SHOULD HAVE THE 300 CHRISTIANS AND THEIR BISHOP IN TRIPOLI EVACUATED TO SAVE THEM FROM BEING SLAUGHTERED

We need to look at those 21 young Christians in the face. Rather than deny Christ they underwent martyrdom in Libya and before having their throat cut by ISIS – in reading their lips (which was done) – they were continuously pronouncing the name of Jesus. Like the martyrs of old.

THE NAME OF JESUS

Their Bishop says: “That name whispered at the last instant was akin to the sealing of their martyrdom.” Coptic Christians are strong people, tempered by 1400 centuries of Islamic persecutions. They are heirs to that St. Athanasius of Alessandria, who saved the true Catholic Faith from the Arian heresy, held by most of the bishops [at that time]. They are tough Christians, not like the spineless, tepid-Catholics we are here in the West.

Here’s what real strength is: it’s not what hates and kills the defenseless (even children) and crucifies those who have a different faith, rapes the women – waving a black flag, faces hidden.

The real strength is the one of the defenseless who accept even martyrdom rather than deny their own dignity – that is to say, their faith – giving witness to the wonders of “ the Beautiful Love” as an ancient definition of the Son of God names Him.

The Face of Jesus in the Face of Martyrs
The Face of Jesus in the Face of Martyrs

A wonderful testimony. These are the true martyrs: the Christians. Not those who go around slaughtering defenseless innocents.

This is the glory of Christians: to follow a God who saved the world by having Himself killed, not by killing others, like all the leaders, ringleaders and ideologues (or revolutionaries) of this world [have done] and that are so exalted in history books.

THE LESSON

This is a great lesson to the West drunk with being “politically correct”, like the disastrous Obama who does his best not to mention even the word “Islam” and “Muslims” when speaking about the massacres In North Iraq, Paris and Libya over these past months. A nihilistic West which is ashamed of its Christian roots and never misses a chance to show contempt for them.

It’s a painful lesson, ultimately, and most of all, for the Church: for a Church that is no longer a witness to the ardent fire of the Faith.

It’s a painful lesson for the Church of Bergoglio, who defines the Christian proclamation and proselytism as “solemn nonsense” – while men and women are giving their lives for Christ; for the Church of Bergoglio , who makes an act of adoration in a Mosque – while Christians are being persecuted and massacred in the entire Muslim world, and who follows the dominant ideology of Obama, by carefully avoiding the pronunciation of the word “Islam” except in laudatory terms. (On the other hand, his spokesman in Buenos Aires attacked Benedict XVI for his discourse on Islam at Regensburg).

Furthermore and most of all, a Pope Bergoglio, who says that the great emergency at present for the Church is not the Faith, but the environment; then, the acceptance of the new (type) of couple and Communion for the divorced and remarried.

It’s all a bit like Benigni’s film where they say that the real, big problem in Palermo [center of the Mafia] – “is the traffic.”

The situation is such, that soon we will have the Bergoglian encyclical on ecology and the merits of differentiated rubbish, in place of a loving cry to God in this world with no faith and hope. We will have an appeal against pollution instead of a condemnation of the anti-Christian hatred now spread all over the entire planet. (In any case, even at his installation Mass, he spoke about the environment and also in his speech to the Expo 2015 in Milan – instead of speaking about Christ).

Pope Francis Giving Support to Christian Martyrs
Pope Francis Giving Support to Christian Martyrs

It ‘s Pope Bergoglio who receives and addresses the Social Centers of the Leoncavallo type, but not the Christians who are heroically and peacefully fighting as witnesses of salvation, suffering the contempt and accusations of the world.

It’s Pope Bergoglio who chooses new cardinals on the basis of his own ideology (and shows that if he wants to he can even decide to make a cardinal – like the Bishop of Ancona, for example) instead of giving the red hat– a sign of martyrdom – to those Bishops in these precise days, who are concretely and heroically living with their threatened communities and truly risking their lives with them.

SAVE THOSE CHRISTIANS

This is the situation of the Bishop of Tripoli, Father Martinelli, the Bishop, (practically the only one at the time, but with the support of Benedict XVI) who protested every day against the war in 2011, explaining that Pandora’s Box would be opened, which then unfailingly happened. A tragedy for which we must thank the “Nobel Peace Prize” – of Obama and Sarkozy.

Further – while today, in Italy and abroad, those who applaud that war feign ignorance (an example -Maurizio Belpietro and “Libero” yesterday), while today Libya risks becoming a base for ISIS, Bishop Martinelli has decided to stay there, exposing himself to death: “I saw the decapitated heads – he relates – and thought to myself that I could end up like that. And if God wills that I end up having my head cut off, then so be it […] Being able to give witness is a precious thing. I thank Our Lord for allowing me to do it, even with martyrdom. I don’t know where this road will take me. If it brings me death, I will say that God has chosen this for me…I will not budge from here. And I’m not afraid.”

He doesn’t want to abandon his small community made up of around three hundred Philippine workers who are understandably terrified. The Bishop is the only Italian left in Tripoli, with some non-Italian nuns and religious.

Up until yesterday evening, no telephone call had arrived from Pope Bergoglio, usually so lavish in his phone calls (he even called [Radical Party leader Marco] Pannella, as well as his friend [Repubblica founder Eugenio] Scalfari, several times). Perhaps, seeing the pressure of the media, he’ll call him before long.

Still, facts are needed more than words.

I’d like to propose something to the Pope. With the help of the Italian government, the Vatican could ask for a humanitarian bridge, a lightening rescue operation for the Christians left there with their Bishop. There are only three hundred of them and they’re risking their lives for their faith. The Vatican could give hospitality to them and then they’ll decide whether to return to the Philippines.

This is something possible. Why not do it?

This is my plea to Pope Bergoglio – to save an entire Christian community and their pastor from being slaughtered. This would really be something worthy of the Holy See. Not that climate of witch hunts and purges that have been circulating in the Vatican establishment for some time now against those “great cardinals” (Ratzinger) who, in fidelity to the Church, dared oppose Kasper in the Synod last October. It would indeed, be incredible if the Vatican devoted itself to purges while Christians are being martyred all over the world.

[Rorate translation by Contributor Francesca Romana]

The emphasis above was my doing. Mea culpa, but so important! Please share Rorate’s post and let’s hope the Pope will respond. Yes, I can see him heroically rushing to their aid, can’t you?

Pray the Rosary and confound the devil.

Mary, help of Christians, pray for us now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

The Sign of Chastisement

In a follow-up to my recent post regarding Our Lady of Fatima and Islam, I should like to illustrate the current state of Christianity under the Islamist chastisement. Raymond Ibrahim is an excellent source for accurate information regarding the Islamist chastisement of Christians. In a recent posting, Mr. Ibrahim reported on something the mainstream Catholic media did not cover, which was the January 9th attack on a Catholic Chapel in Perugia, Italy where five muslims destroyed a statue of Our Lady and urinated on it. For the full story, follow the links above.

If somebody offends your Mother, what would you do?
If somebody offends your Mother, what would you do?

According to Ibrahim, five “immigrants” attacked a man praying before a statue of the Blessed Virgin at St. Barnabas Chapel in Perugia. Then, “… they unleashed their hatred against the image of the Virgin Mary. They broke the statue to pieces and then urinated on it.”

The incident has caused a stir among locals. Some have lambasted Pope Francis who is accused of appeasing immigrants—mostly Muslims—to wild extremes. Earlier, Pope Francis had said that “Migrants, through their own humanity, cultural values, expand the sense of human brotherhood.”

Ibrahim reports that the diocese “condemned the act of sacrilege against the Madonna statue”. I take issue with that, because the primary focus here should be that the offense committed by the muslims was first and foremost and attack against, not the statue per se, but against the Mother of God herself. Despite the insipid blather of Monsignor Guilietti, the auxiliary bishop of Città della Pieve, who denied that the act was an episode of religious hatred it cannot be understood in any other way. If the statue were of any other person, would the muslims have vented their hatred on it? Obviously not.

Ibrahim reported that Pope Francis on January 16, just a week after the muslim attack on the Blessed Virgin Mary, responded to the Charlie Hebdo slaughter by calling on Catholics to refrain from insulting other people’s religions, —namely Islam: “It’s normal, it’s normal [violence]. One cannot provoke, one cannot insult other people’s faith, one cannot make fun of faith.”

To which Ibrahim mused, “One wonders if the Pope would call it ‘normal’ if members of his own flock were to murder those who urinated on the Virgin statue?”

This latest incident illustrates two very important points. On the one hand, it shows graphically what Islam is without the Immaculata. Only Mary can transform Islam from satanic scourge. It is impossible to fight Islamic violence with violence. This is a spiritual warfare! Islam has the seeds of the faith, but only through Our Lady of Fatima will they come to fruition. Christ came into the world through the Virgin Mary and He will not convert muslims without Mary. The Christians who are dying daily at the hands of muslim fanatics bear witness to our failure to follow the commands of Our Lady of Fatima. The second point is the clear illustration of the diabolical disorientation of the faith most perfectly embodied in poor Pope Francis.  This sad, benighted creature is undoubtedly the epitome of Vatican II “enlightenment”. Every day, in new and different ways, he attacks his own faithful flock and supports those who seek to undermine or outright destroy it. This is a tragic derangement. Neither Islamic terrorists nor the apostate Roman hierarchy are able to repent and be converted without the Immaculata who alone can crush the head of satan and bring peace to the world in the reign of Christ the King.

Until the triumph of the Virgin of Fatima, the world will suffer mightily, the good as well as the bad, for the chastisement is wasted on the evil ones. They have chosen their fate, but the crucifixion of Christ’s faithful is fruitful of graces unto life everlasting. This is the greatest battle the world has ever seen, yet most Catholics sleep on, indifferent.

We must all join the fray and fight with all the spiritual weapons Our Blessed Mother has given us: devotion to her Immaculate Heart, total consecration, the Rosary, the First Saturdays of Reparation, devotion to the true Mass and the Blessed Sacrament. In addition, we must know the faith and do our best to awaken others to the truth. For a little while longer, we have the internet and sites like Catholic Family News and The Remnant Newspaper, but not for long. We have many locations here in the United States where the true Holy Mass of all times is said reverently, but not for long. Avail yourselves of every opportunity for sanctifying grace. Participate in Eucharistic Adoration whenever possible. Enthrone the Sacred Heart of Jesus and His dear Mother in your home and make Holy Hours of Reparation weekly or at least monthly. The daily Rosary (with family if possible) is essential.

Thus, you will be armed and strengthened for the battle when at last you and your loved ones are confronted with the chastisement in a most personal manner. To this end I will be posting soon a series on the Rosary to help distracted Catholics pray Our Lady’s Rosary more effectively.

May Our Lord bless you and prosper you in His work and may Our Blessed Mother keep you close to her Immaculate Heart.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us all now and at the hour of our death!

Viva Cristo Rey!

Our Lady of Fatima and Islam

Have you ever wondered why the Queen of Heaven chose the rural backwater of Fatima, Portugal to make her appearance in 1917? Does the name Fatima remind you of anything? Now that Islam is daily slaughtering Christians in the name of their false god, it may be wise to look into these things a bit further.

Our Lady of Victory, crush satan's head & lead us to victory! Our Lady of the Rosary, save our families, save the Church!
Our Lady of Victory, crush satan’s head & lead us to victory!
Our Lady of the Rosary, save our families, save the Church!

In 1952, Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen published a book, “The World’s First Love, Mary, the Mother of God”. The book was a tour de force of devotion to Our Lady, especially Our Lady of Fatima. The Servant of God devoted the entire 17th Chapter of his book to, “Mary and the Moslems”, for so they were called then. This book is in the public domain as all Catholic spiritual writing should be, and is available for free from www.archive.org. That site offers the book in a variety of formats, including pdf, Kindle and iBook. I offer these excerpts from the  17th Chapter with my comments for your review to facilitate the discussion and awareness of Our Lady of Fatima’s importance in this ongoing chastisement.

“At the present time, the hatred of the Moslem countries against the West is becoming a hatred against Christianity itself. Although the statesmen have not yet taken it into account, there is still grave danger that the temporal power of Islam may return and, with it, the menace that it may shake off a West which has ceased to be Christian, and affirm itself as a great anti-Christian world power. Moslem writers say, “When the locust swarms darken vast countries, they bear on their wings these Arabic words: *We are God’s host, each of us has ninety-nine eggs, and if we had a hundred, we should lay waste the world with all that is in it.”

Regarding locusts, see Apocalypse Chapter 9, verse 3 and verses 7-11:

“And from the smoke of the pit there came out locusts upon the earth. …And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle: and on their heads were, as it were, crowns like gold: and their faces were as the faces of men. And they had hair as the hair of women; and their teeth were as lions:  And they had breastplates as breastplates of iron, and the noise of their wings was as the noise of chariots and many horses running to battle. And they had tails like to scorpions, and there were stings in their tails; and their power was to hurt men five months. And they had over them a king, the angel of the bottomless pit; whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek Apollyon; in Latin Exterminans.”

Continuing from Archbishop Sheen,

The Koran, which is the Bible of the Moslems, has many passages concerning the Blessed Virgin. First of all, the Koran believes in her Immaculate Conception and, also, in her Virgin Birth. The third chapter of the Koran places the history of Mary’s family in a genealogy which goes back through Abraham, Noah, and Adam. … The Koran has also verses on the Annunciation, Visitation, and Nativity. Angels are pictured as accompanying the Blessed Mother and saying: “Oh, Mary, God has chosen you and purified you, and elected you above all the women of the earth.” In the nineteenth chapter of the Koran there are forty-one verses on Jesus and Mary. There is such a strong defense of the virginity of Mary here that the Koran, in the fourth book, attributes the condemnation of the Jews to their monstrous calumny against the Virgin Mary.

Mary, then, is for the Moslems the true Sayyida, or Lady. The only possible serious rival to her in their creed would be Fatima, the daughter of Mohammed himself. But after the death of Fatima, Mohammed wrote: “Thou shalt be the most blessed of all the women in Paradise, after Mary” In a variant of the text, Fatima is made to say: “I surpass all the women, except Mary.”

Archbishop Sheen then explains the significance of Mary’s choice of Fatima for her apparitions.

“This brings us to our second point, namely, why the Blessed Mother, in this twentieth century, should have revealed herself in the insignificant little village of Fatima, so that to all future generations she would be known as ‘Our Lady of Fatima’. Since nothing ever happens out of heaven except with a finesse of all details, I believe that the Blessed Virgin chose to be known as ‘Our Lady of Fatima’ as a pledge and a sign of hope to the Moslem people, and as an assurance that they, who show her so much respect, will one day accept her Divine Son, too.

Evidence to support these views is found in the historical fact that the Moslems occupied Portugal for centuries. At the time when they were finally driven out, the last Moslem chief had a beautiful daughter by the name of Fatima. A Catholic boy fell in love with her, and for him she not only stayed behind when the Moslems left, but even embraced the faith. The young husband was so much in love with her that he changed the name of the town where he lived to Fatima. Thus, the very place where Our Lady appeared in 1917 bears a historical connection to Fatima, the daughter of Mohammed.”

It seems obvious to me that since the Church, in the person of her Popes,  chose to disobey the requests of Our Lady of Fatima, among the chastisements would be the swarming locusts of Muslim terrorists plaguing Christians today. It also seems self evident that these Chastisements which are spiritual cannot effectively be fought by merely secular means, such as citing “religious liberty” and “freedom of speech”. Other writers have mentioned that Islam seems to be a chastisement for the vulgarity and impurity of the post-Christian West; its exaggerated emphasis on modesty for instance appears a twisted perversion of true Christian modesty, perhaps to point up the loss of true modesty of Catholic women in the modernist church.  Jacinta, the youngest of the Fatima children, spoke of sins of impurity as causing so many souls to be lost.

Another proof of the relevance of Our Lady of Fatima to the Muslims given by Archbishop Sheen is their response to the Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima as it progressed through Muslim lands.

The final evidence of the relationship of Fatima to the Moslems is the enthusiastic reception which the Moslems in Africa and India and elsewhere gave to the Pilgrim statue o£ Our Lady of Fatima, as mentioned earlier. Moslems attended the Church services in honor of Our Lady; they allowed religious processions and even prayers before their mosques; and in Mozambique the Moslems, who were unconverted, began to be Christian as soon as the statue of Our Lady of Fatima was erected.

Archbishop Sheen assures us that, “In any apologetic endeavor, it is always best to start with that which people already accept. Because the Moslems have a devotion to Mary, our missionaries should be satisfied merely to expand and to develop that devotion, with the full realization that Our Blessed Lady will carry the Moslems the rest of the way to her Divine Son.”

In an earlier chapter in the same book, his Excellency remarks on the astonishing effect the Pilgrim Virgin statue has had on the Hindu and Moslem lands where it was brought. Now, we must take note of the fact that all this “solemn nonsense” of proselytizing, in the words of Pope Francis, has stopped since the wondrous “Springtime of Vatican II”. Could the halting of devotion to the message of Fatima have possibly had some effect on the ever-increasing anti-Christian sentiment among Islamists? What do you think?

Our Lady told the children of Fatima that she would return a 7th time. I believe that it will be to reacquaint the invading Islamic hordes with her power, the power of the Immaculata to cast out satan and all his hateful works and pomps. Think about it.

Continue to pray the rosary for the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary through the Consecration of Russia.

The Crucifixion of Christ is a Scandal to Islam

From Rorate today, Professor Roberto de Mattei gives a clear and powerful voice to the truth:

Marcher contre la Terreur, “March against Terror”, was the title which “Le Monde” the “Corriere della Sera” and the major Western newspapers used to present the grand, secularist demonstration of January 11th. Never has there been a slogan more hypocritical than this one, imposed by the mass-media as a reaction to the massacre in Paris on January 7th. What sense is there in speaking about Terror without adding the adjective “Islamic”? The attack on the editorial staff at “Charlie Hebdo” was carried out to the yell of “Allah akbar!”  vindicating Mohamed, insulted by the caricatures and behind the terrorists’ kalashnikof there is a precise vision of the world: the Muslim one.

It is only now that Western secret services are beginning to take seriously the threats by Abdu Muhamad al Adnani published in a multi-lingual communiqué spread widely on September 21st 2014 by the on-line daily “The Long War Journal”. “We will conquer Rome, we will break its crucifixes, we will make slaves of the women, with the permission of Allah, the Exalted One”, the spokesman of “the Islamic State” declared to his followers and he didn’t simply replicate the extermination of the “infidels” wherever they may be, but also indicated the procedures: “Place explosives in their streets. Attack their bases, irrupt into their homes. Cut off their heads. So that they don’t feel safe anywhere! If you can’t find the explosive or the ammunitions single out the American infidels, the French infidels or any of their allies: smash their craniums with a rock, kill them with a knife, run them over with your cars, hurl them into mid-air, suffocate them or poison them.”

We have been deluded into thinking that the war in course is not that declared by Islam on the West, but a war that is being fought inside the Muslim world itself and the only way of saving ourselves is to help moderate Islam to defeat fundamentalist Islam, as was written in the “Corriere della Sera” on January 11th by Sergio Romano, an observer, who is even considered intelligent as well. The most repeated slogan in France is to avoid the “amalgam” , that is, the identification of moderate Islam with radical Islam. However the common aim of all of Islam is the conquest of the West and of the world. Those who don’t share this objective are not moderates, but simply not good Muslims.

Peaceful Muslims

The differences, if any, do not concern the ends, but the means: the Muslims of Al Qaeda and of Isis have embraced the Leninist way of violent action, while the Muslim Brothers use the Gramscian weapon of intellectual hegemony. The mosques are the propelling center of that cultural war which Bat Ye’or defines as ‘soft-jihad’, while with the term ‘hard-jihad’ he defines the military war to terrorize and annihilate the enemy. The choice of the means can be discussed and certainly it is inside Islam, but there is concordance on the final objective: the extension into the world of the sharia’a – the law of the Koran.

Islam, in any case, is a noun which can be translated as “submission”. Submission in order to avoid The Terror and the future European scenario imagined by the novelist Michel Houellebecq in his latest book, precipitously withdrawn from French book-shops. No to Terror means for our statesmen, no to the violent submission of the jihadists, yes to a peaceful submission, which is carrying the West sweetly into a condition of dhimmitude.

Religion of Peace

The West says it is disposed to accept Islam “with a human face”, but in reality, what it refuses in Islam is not just the violence, but also its religious absolutism. For the West there is the license to kill in the name of moral relativism, but not in the name of absolute values. Yet abortion is systematically practiced in every Western country and not one of the Heads of State who marched in Paris against The Terror, has ever condemned it. But what is abortion if it is not the legalization of The Terror, The Terror of the State, promoted, encouraged and justified? What right do Western leaders have to demonstrate against Terror?

In “La Repubblica” of January 13th 2015, while the former leader of Lotta Continua*, Adriano Sofri, is celebrating Europe’s rebirth under the Bastille, the post-modern philosopher, Julia Kristeva, so dear to Cardinal Ravasi, affirms that “the people of the Enlightment have saved Europe”, and that “faced with the peril they were running, liberty, equality and brotherhood have ceased being abstract concepts, by becoming incarnate in millions of people.” However, who invented The Terror if not Republican France and used it to annihilate all opponents of the French Revolution? The ideology and the praxis of terrorism appeared for the first time in history with the French Revolution, for the most part starting on September 5th 1793, when “The Terror” was made an everyday affair by the Convention and became an essential part of the revolutionary system.

The first genocide in history, at the Vendee, was perpetrated in the name of the Republican ideals of liberty, equality and brotherhood. Communism which claimed to complete the process of secularization inaugurated by the French Revolution, activated the standardization of Terror at a planetary level, causing, in less than seventy years, more than 200 million deaths. So, what is Islamic terrorism if it isn’t the contamination of the “philosophy of the Koran” with the Marxist- Enlightment practices imported by the West?

From its very foundation, “Charlie Hebdo” has been a newspaper wherein satire was placed at the service of a philosophy of libertarian life, the roots of it being imbedded in the anti-Christian ideas of the Enlightment. The French, satirical newspaper became famous because of its caricature of Mohammed, but its disgusting, blasphemous vignettes to vindicate homosexual unions should not be forgotten. The editors of “Charlie Hebdo” can be considered an extreme but coherent expression of the relativist culture now widespread in the entire West, in the same way as the terrorists who slaughtered them can be considered an extreme but coherent expression of the hate against the West by the entire, vast Islamic world.

Those who claim the existence of Absolute and Objective Truth are put on the same level as the fundamentalist Muslims by the neo-enlightened. We never compare relativism with Islamism, since both are associated with fanaticism. Fanaticism is not the affirmation of truth, but the intellectual and emotional imbalance that is begotten of departing from the truth.Further, there is only one truth wherein the world may find peace, which is tranquility of order: Jesus Christ, the Son of God, in Whom all things must be ordered in Heaven and on earth, so that the peace of Christ is achieved through the Reign of Christ indicated as the ideal of every Christian by Pope Pius XI in his encyclical Quas Primas of December 11th 1925.

Islam cannot be fought in the name of the Enlightment and even less so by relativism. The only thing that can oppose it, is the natural and Divine law, denied radically by both relativism and Islam. For this reason we are raising the Crucifix which secularism and Islamism reject and we are making of it a banner of life and action. St. Paul said “We preach Christ Crucified, unto the Jews indeed a stumbling-block and unto the Gentiles foolishness”(I Cor. 1, v.23).

We would like to repeat: “We preach Christ Crucified, a stumbling-block to the Muslims and foolishness to the Secularists.”
