Effective Catholic Action

“The only hope for civilization in its present crisis is that Catholics succeed in leavening society. Their success in doing so depends primarily not on their organization but on their interior life and personal love of God.” (Dom Eugene Boylan, ‘This Tremendous Lover’, 1951)

Dom Boylan continues,

Once Catholic Action puts the emphasis on the “Action” and forgets the real meaning of “Catholic” – which, in its essence is the result of union with Christ, – then the failure of Catholic Action has begun. And if we Catholics have not had the influence on society . . . the reason is to be found in our lack of the interior life. All Catholicity – individual, social, secular, or regular – must begin and end in interior union with Christ. “For there is no other name under heaven given to men whereby we must be saved.” (Acts, 4. 12)

Happily, there is a shortcut to that union with Christ for the individual and for society. For as (Saint) Pius X taught, “They are miserable and unfortunate who, under the pretext of honoring Christ neglect Mary, for they do not know that the Child cannot be found except with His Mother.” And the same Holy Father quotes the text of the Apocalypse:

“And a great sign appeared in heaven. A Woman clothed with the sun and the moon under Her feet and on Her head a crown of twelve stars. And being with child, She cried, travailing in birth and was in pain to be delivered.” (Apoc. 12, 1,2)

and (Pope St. Pius X) applies it to Our Lady, who, though blessed in heaven, is still laboring in a mysterious birth. “Whose birth?” asks the Holy Father:

“Clearly ours, who are still detained in exile and have yet to be brought forth to the perfect charity of God and eternal happiness.” (Ad diem illum, 1904)

The part played by Our Lady in our sanctification is so important that it calls for a book in itself. . .

Father Boylan wrote the above December 8, 1945, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in the Introduction to his beautiful, “This Tremendous Lover”. I use it today as the hopeful introduction to a series of articles aimed at renewing our focus on the importance of this most  glorious creature of God, created in perfect sinlessness, filled with all grace and love of God, in order to be the very Spouse of God the Holy Spirit, and the Mother of God the Son, Saviour of mankind, and thus, the Mother of all who are of His Mystical Body.

Dom Boylan summed up the essentials of the spiritual life very simply, in just five points: faith, hope, charity, humility, and a generous acceptance of God’s will. It has always been my intention, in all that I share with you, to emphasise these points as well. If we but look around, we may easily discern how the dearth of these virtues has impoverished the Faith today.

With Dom Boylan, I am convinced that the way to restore the spiritual life – indeed, the only way – is through devotion to the Mother of God. From my readers, it has become clear that we need to return to some very fundamental aspects, returning to the very meaning and context of the prayers of the Holy Rosary. I hope that by doing so, we can revitalize our Rosaries. For we are engaged, whether we acknowledge it or not, in a life or death spiritual combat. This was brought home to me very recently, when a prominent group of lay Catholic leaders gathered in Munich:

“An international coalition of lay Catholics mobilized in Munich today to silently pray in “firm protest against the German Episcopal Conference and its President” Cardinal Marx on account of the prelates’ plan to embark on a “synodal path” that critics say would create a “new church” that departs from Catholic teaching on priestly celibacy, contraception, homosexuality, and fornication.” (Lifesite News)

Quoting from the article,

Called Acies ordinata, the international coalition derives its name from a title reserved for Our Lady who assembles an army of the faithful to defeat her enemies. The Latin phrase “terribilis ut castrorum acies ordinate” is applied to Mary in battle and is taken from the Old Testament Song of Songs canticle (6:3, 6:10).”

The citation above, correctly taken is: from Solomon’s Canticle of Canticles. The link allows you to read the Vulgate alongside the Douay version.

In order to dispel some confusion, here is more from the Lifesite article, FYI:

About the name of the organization: “Called Acies ordinata, the international coalition derives its name from a title reserved for Our Lady who assembles an army of the faithful to defeat her enemies. The Latin phrase “terribilis ut castrorum acies ordinate” is applied to Mary in battle and is taken from the Old Testament Song of Songs canticle (6:3, 6:10).” Direct quote.

NOTE: That quote is: Quæ est ista quæ progreditur quasi aurora consurgens, pulchra ut luna, electa ut sol, terribilis ut castrorum acies ordinata?  (Who is she that cometh forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in array?) By the way, it is verse 9, not verse 10.

“The hour of silent prayer and meditation ended with the collective singing of the Creed, during which, to express their love for the Church, the participants raised their voices to sing the words Et unam Sanctam Catholicam Ecclesiam (one holy Catholic Church) #AciesOrdinata pic.twitter.com/0Mb0JugifC”. Direct quote.

Now readers, who among you believes that “Our Lady’s army in battle array” just stands around silently, unarmed, refusing to use the weapon she gives us – that is, her rosary?

What struck me is that an organization of the most prominent lay Catholic leaders  have staged a protest in the name of Mary that was silent. That did not publically recite her Rosary? Think of that. Silent.

That is, they chose to forego the true traditional Catholic protest of respectfully reciting the Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary in public; a practice that goes back so many centuries and is so richly indulgenced that it would have brought down floods of grace and strengthened the participants while weakening and driving out the ancient enemy. In place of the Rosary of the Mother of God – which she has continuously asked us for – they decided to stand in silent protest, not united in the one effective prayer that is actually the weapon of Our Lady, but instead in the silent interior of each one “praying in their own way” as is the way of the worldly today. A way that is perfectly acceptable to the false ecumenists of the neo-modernist, neo-paganist church of the man they propose to protest, Cardinal Marx. How he must have laughed at their impotent “protest”.

We seem to have reached a new low, when prominent lay Catholic leaders form themselves into an army of Our Lady while eschewing her own weapons in order to adopt the stance of the freemasonic enemy. Just think a moment of the many triumphs of Our Lady of the Rosary – and see the futility of this silly posing.

The Message of Fatima is that she herself desires that we call her, Our Lady of the Rosary.

Return to Fatima!

Remember – Our Lady needs us to obey:  First Saturdays of Reparation, daily rosary, at least 5 mysteries, wear her brown scapular and live your Total Consecration to her Immaculate Heart, offering daily duties in reparation and for the conversion of poor sinners.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of our hearts, Mother of the Church, do thou offer to the Eternal Father the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, for the conversion of poor sinners, especially our Pontiff.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy kingdom come! Viva Cristo Rey!
St. Joseph, protect us, protect our families, protect our priests.
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.

Vouchsafe that I may praise thee, O Sacred Virgin! Give me strength against thine enemies!

Heaven in Three Hail Marys, 2020

A note for readers who have asked why I have not posted on the ongoing drama of the two popes – i.e., what is wrong, am a sick again, and what do I think of this or that post from various blogs. First, I do not read those blogs, no matter how many times you send them to my inbox, for I am practicing what I “preach” and making reparation. Our Lord Jesus Christ is offended and has begun chastising us. We have been given a brief period of mercy, a last chance for reparation, before the culmination. A period of unimaginable misery is upon us and many will find themselves caught up in hell on earth.

Why should you listen to me? As someone challenged, “What gives you the right to tell me to repent?, who do you think you are?”  Certainly, I am not worthy, me, least of all! – that you should listen to me, but I have passed on to you as faithfully as I am able to do, the words of Our Lord, of Our Blessed Mother, and of the saints who are approved by the true magisterium. Please do not be led astray! Hold fast to the truth, hold fast to our Queen and Mother, who will not leave us orphans.

St. Alphonsus of Liguori assures us that: “A devout servant of Mary shall never perish.” That is why it is regrettable  to see Catholics  today fall away from true devotion to our Blessed Mother. One simple but very effective little devotion to Our Lady is the venerable old practice of the Three Hail Marys. This is a long-established practice which has been promoted by some of the greatest saints, such as St. Anthony, St. Mechtilde, St. Gertrude, St. Leonard of Port Maurice and was blessed by Pope St. Pius X.

In brief, the devotion consists of the following:

Slash and Burn, Reboot 2020

Slash and burn, reboot
Fresh, new growth springs from the ashes.

Slash and burn agriculture is the process of cutting down the vegetation in a particular plot of land, setting fire to the remaining foliage, and using the ashes to provide nutrients to the soil for the use of planting food crops.

Recently, a kind and gentle reader remarked, “it is not surprising that we see the ground being prepared, tilled so to speak, in order to receive the seed of the consecration.”

I’ve taken some time to consider this reader’s thoughtful comment and concluded that the ground will be prepared by a slightly different method.

In the slash and burn method, as detailed above, what is hindering the restoration of the faith and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is the glut of arrogant, disobedient and indifferent catholics who now occupy the Church, as laity and above all, as consecrated leaders, who conspire against her and serve the lord of this world.  By His usual effective methods, I believe that God will clear away the debris, and in these ashes, by the humility and obedience of the survivors, and through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the Church will rise again. A chastened Pope will consecrate Russia, and a chastened Russia will welcome this.

January 1, 2020 Mary, the Mother of God

“Call me and my image the Perfect Virgin Mary, Holy Mother of God, the one who crushes the serpent.” Our Lady of Guadalupe to Juan Diego

Much of the Church celebrates today as the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God and it seems appropriate to offer a small portion of Holy Church’s immense treasury of Marian writings to counter-act this horrid pope’s barrage of denigrating statements against the most holy Mother of God.

By focusing our devout attention on what is exalted and holy and beautiful, we hope to make worthy reparation for the unkind words and actions of the unfortunate man who has usurped the See of Peter. Pope Francis uses his power as the Vicar of Christ to attack Christ’s own Mother! Ah, but we know how this must end, don’t we? And so we watch and pray.

Much of the following is taken from the writings of Saint John Eudes, particularly “The Admirable Heart of Mary”  available from KIC,( Link) or may be downloaded free from Archive.org, (Link)

As I write this, it is very late on New Year’s Eve, and all around us, the worldly celebrate with fireworks and of course, the occasional gunshot and ambulances scream urgently. The world around me isn’t exactly in “solemn stillness” this night, and I must admit, my heart is also not in stillness but wrenched to its core as I think on the hideous talk given by Pope Francis on the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe. In her revelations to us through St. Juan Diego, Our Most Blessed Mother taught us, “Call me and my image the Perfect Virgin Mary, Holy Mother of God, the one who crushes the serpent.” In that brief statement, she affirms her Immaculate Conception (perfect), her Perpetual Virginity and her most august title, Mother of God. For the Pope to manipulate this occasion with snide remarks is beyond all tolerance. No faithful Catholic is comfortable with criticising the Pope, but this pope forces us if we are to remain in a state of grace. For it is impossible to agree with his statements!  Indeed, there should have been a strong response against the Pope’s insults from every Bishop throughout the Church. But how few have done this!  And so the faithful are disheartened and left in confusion, and the ancient enemy of Our Lady rejoices.

And here we begin to see the root of Bergoglio’s problem with the most Blessed Virgin; his need to insist she is, “a normal girl”, Pope Francis is reported to have said, “She never wanted for herself something that was of her son,” … “She never introduced herself as co-redemptrix. No. Disciple,” … “Mary woman, Mary mother, without any other essential title,” It seems that he cannot help himself from showing disdain for her. But why? Is it perhaps that he hates Our Dear Lord so much? Let us think on the relation between the hearts of Jesus and Mary. St. John Eudes will be our guide in this.

Jesus Christ, the Heart of the Eternal Father, is the Heart of His Holy Mother. Is not the heart the principle of life? And what is the Son of God to His dear Mother? He always was and will be forever the heart of her heart, the soul of her soul, the spirit of her spirit, and the sole principle of all the movements, uses and functions of her most holy life. St. Paul tells us that it is not himself who lives but Jesus Christ who lives in him (Gal. 2, 20). Our Lord is the life of all Christians (Col. 3, 4) so who could doubt that He abides in His holy Mother, and that He is the life of her life, the heart of her heart, in a union incomparably more excellent even than with St. Paul and the other faithful saints?

Let us listen to what Our Lady revealed to St Brigid: “My Son was truly my Heart to me. When He left my bosom to be born, it seemed as though half of my Heart were going forth from me. When He suffered, I felt His pain as though my Heart endured the identical sorrows and torments that He endured. When my Son was being scourged and torn with whips, my Heart was scourged and whipped with Him. When He looked at me from the Cross, and I at Him, two streams of tears gushed from my eyes; and when He saw me oppressed with sorrow, He experienced such violent anguish at my desolation that the pain caused by His sorrow was my sorrow as His Heart was my Heart. Because Adam and Eve together betrayed the world for one, single forbidden fruit, so did my beloved Son wish that I should cooperate with Him in redeeming it with one Heart…”

Saint John Eudes continues, “… her Heart mirrors His Sacred Heart. So it is that Jesus is the principle of life in His most holy Mother. So it is that He is the Heart of her Heart and the life of her life. St. Brigid once heard her say: “Every homage rendered to my Son is likewise rendered to me, and whoever dishonors Him dishonors me. We have always had such perfect mutual love that we seemed to have as it were but one Heart for both…”

St. John Eudes relates that Our Lord revealed these thoughts to St. Mechtilde in 1300, that He wishes her (and us) to honor His Mother’s Heart as an ocean of grace and a treasure of blessings, as the humblest heart of any creature, asserting that it was her humility which drew Him from His Father’s bosom and rendered her worthy to conceive in her chaste womb of the Holy Ghost. He further explained that Mary should be honored as most prudent and wise for keeping in her Heart “the memory of each event of My childhood, youth and adult life” and making holy use of this remembrance. Our Lord also urged that we honor the heart of His most beloved Mother as the most faithful, “for she not only consented to permit Me, her only Son, to be sacrificed, but she also offered Me to my Eternal Father as a sacrifice for the redemption of the world.”

And finally, He tells us of her excellence, that she is “the most vigilant and most zealous for the interests of the nascent Church, for the care she took to pray unceasingly could not be disregarded” and also, that we should, “glorify her Heart as raised to the highest degree of uninterrupted contemplation, for no tongue can worthily speak of the graces and favors that men owe to the power of her intercession.”

There are just a few more quotes we should include here if we are to use these thoughts in our reparation to our Most Beloved Mother. Saint John Eudes rhetorically quotes Jesus thus,

…As her Heart is the first object of the love of my Heart, after the Eternal Father, it is likewise, after God, the first object of your most tender and holy affection. Therefore have I given it to you to be an inexhaustible fountain of blessings in your midst.”

“I have given the Heart of my incomparable Mother to you as a holy Rule that will enable you to become saints, if you faithfully observe it. It is the rule of the divine life you should lead, of the high qualities and habits you must assume, of the evangelical teachings you are to follow. By this rule you must measure the holiness that should permeate all your actions, the sentiments and affections that should fill your hearts. It is the rule of the love and hatred, the joy and sorrow, the desires and fears that must be yours, if you are to please me and sanctify yourselves.

“I have given her Heart to you as a vast ocean of graces of every kind, from which you must draw the graces you need at every hour, every moment, every place and every occasion, to avoid the manifold snares of Satan, which cover the entire earth, and to be able to serve God in justice and holiness all the days of your lives.

“In order to make this come true, you must renounce entirely your own heart, that is, your mind, your will and your love of self. Strive, therefore, to rid yourself of your earthly heart that is depraved and wicked, and you shall receive an entirely heavenly, holy and divine Heart.

“I have finally given this marvelous Heart as an inestimable treasure containing every possible blessing. It is for you, beloved children, to engrave in your hearts a high esteem, a profound respect and a particular affection for so rich a treasure, and to preserve it jealously by the continuation and increase of your veneration for a Heart so holy and amiable. “It is to encourage you to do so that I have said these things. Set down my words in your hearts and practice them faithfully. In this way, you will become the true children of my holy Mother’s Heart, and you will live according to my own.

My eyes and my Heart shall ever watch over your necessities. I will carry you in my innermost Heart. You will yourselves be my Heart, my joy and my delight. I will love you as my own Heart, and I will prepare a glorious habitation for you throughout eternity in my Heart and in the Heart of my blessed Mother, which is one with my own. You shall abide forever in our Hearts, and live by their life, you shall possess all the treasures enclosed in our Hearts, and be immersed and buried in their joys.

Our Hearts shall be your paradise, the life of your life, the Heart of your heart. “In the love of these Hearts, or rather, this one Heart, you will eternally love, bless and glorify my holy Mother and the Sovereign monarch of all hearts, which is the adorable Heart of the most Holy Trinity. May It be forever praised, adored, and loved by all the hearts of angels and of men!”

In closing, Saint John Eudes wrote this prayer which I dare to make my own for you dear readers, on this first day of the year 2020: Offered with love and many prayers, always,

O most holy Mary, Thy divine Son, Jesus, hath created thy Heart, and He alone knows the great treasures He has hidden therein. He it was who lit the fire burning in this furnace, and none but He can measure the heights reached by the flames which leap from its abyss. He alone can measure the vast perfections with which He has enriched the masterpiece of His all-powerful goodness, or count the innumerable graces He has poured into this ocean of grace: “He created her in the Holy Ghost, and saw her, and numbered her, and measured her” (Eccles. 1, 9).

And now I beseech thee, O most Blessed Virgin Mary, through thy Heart and for the honor of that very Heart, to offer me to thy beloved Son and to pray that He may annihilate my personality and set Himself in the place of my nothingness, so that not my voice but His may be heard. May Jesus Christ be the author of this book, and I but the instrument of His surpassing love for thee and of the zeal with which He watches over the honor of thy most worthy Heart.

May He inspire the thoughts He wishes to see expressed in (these writings) and the very words He desires I should use. May His blessing rest in fullest measure on the readers of (these writings), and may He transform all its words into bright and ardent coals, so that their hearts may be purified, enlightened and inflamed with the sacred fire of His love. In a word, may they become worthy to live according to God’s Heart and to be numbered among the children of the maternal Heart of God’s own Mother.

Sister Lúcia of Fatima, our guide in 2020

As we prepare for the new year ahead, Sister Lúcia of Fatima will be our guide through the trials ahead.

“Jesus wants to use you to make me known and loved.
He wants to establish the Devotion to my Immaculate Heart in the world.”

Sister Lúcia of Fatima has the distinction of being canonized in her lifetime by the Blessed Virgin Mary herself. When Our Lady visited the three shepherd children 102 years ago on June 13, 1917, Lúcia pleaded with her,  “I would like to ask you also to take us to Heaven.”

“Yes”, Our Lady answered, “I will take Francisco and Jacinta soon. You, however, are to stay here a longer time. Jesus wants to use you to make me known and loved. He wants to establish the Devotion to my Immaculate Heart in the world. I promise salvation to those who embrace it and their souls will be loved by God as flowers placed by myself to adorn His throne.”

Lúcia was filled with sadness to hear the news that she was to be left alone in the world, and cried out, “Am I going to stay here alone?”

“No, my daughter.” Our Lady responded tenderly to Lúcia, whose eyes were brimming with tears,

“Does this cause you to suffer a great deal? I will never leave you! My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the way that will lead you to God.“

Although all three children were promised Heaven, it was to Lúcia that Our Lady made the promise that she would be with her always. What a remarkable thing it must have been for that child to hear from the Mother of God that, “Jesus wants to use you to make me known and loved.“

This world is dying under the errors which have been growing and spreading ever since the arch-heretic Martin Luther revolted against the reign of Our Lord Jesus Christ, tearing Christendom asunder. In response to this grave attack, Jesus requested public devotion to His Sacred Heart. He specifically asked that the image of this adorable Heart be placed publicly, revered publicly. We all know that this was not done and so the Masonic revolution, which was not publicly known at that time, grew in power until it finally erupted in bloody violence in the French Revolution, in which the King was beheaded and the Church suppressed and persecuted.

In time, this same satanic force even penetrated the Vatican, and at this point our Lord Jesus Christ sent His Blessed Mother to Fatima with a message, “Jesus wants to use you to make me known and loved. He wants to establish the Devotion to my Immaculate Heart in the world.”

The disobedience of the Popes caused the withdrawal of God’s grace and they found themselves unable to obey Our Lady’s message, but Jesus still wants to use Sister Lúcia to make the Immaculate Heart of Mary known and loved. In fact, the message is all the more urgent at this late date.

We are all being called to hear and spread Sister Lúcia’s message to Return to Fatima, return and renew our devotion to the full message of our Immaculate Mother. It is so urgent that we all, every one of us who hear these words, allow the Immaculata to make us her apostles in these latter times. How I wish I were free to say all that is in my heart in this regard! But I can say this, if you will pray your Rosary to Our Lady, with Sister Lúcia, you will understand and be better able to implement Our Lady of Fatima’s requests for us, for the Church.

Sister Lúcia assured us of the efficacy of the Rosary;

“The Most Holy Virgin in these last times in which we live has given a new efficacy to the recitation of the Rosary, to such an extent that there is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether temporal or above all spiritual, in the personal life of each one of us, of our families, of the families of the world, or of the religious communities, or even of the life of peoples and nations, that cannot be solved by the Rosary. There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary. With the Holy Rosary we will save ourselves, we will sanctify ourselves, we will console Our Lord and obtain the salvation of many souls.”

And she also explained devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary:

“Finally, devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Our Most Holy Mother, consists in considering Her as the seat of mercy, of goodness and of pardon, and as the certain door by which we are to enter Heaven.”

Please note the above quote referring to devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary does not consist of “filial devotion to the ‘Holy Father’ “. The contention that it does is an error of the conciliar Church and has no place in true devotion to the Message of Fatima. We must hold firm to the true teachings of Sister Lúcia, and follow her to true devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Although Sister Lúcia was silenced by the disobedient Vatican, her message speaks clearly to us today.

How great must have been her suffering to have the very Church she was vowed to obey refuse her every effort to perform her task of spreading devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  As great as her suffering was, how much more must be her reward! The doctors and saints of the Church assure us that there is no great work which is accomplished without great suffering. Sister Lúcia’s sufferings at the hands of the dark forces controlling the Church are a rich source of graces for us now. Our Lady herself assured us that Sister Lúcia is her chosen apostle and that she would join her in Heaven. Please consider turning to her now to help your efforts bear fruit in the service of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Sister Lúcia’s  life’s work appeared to have been fruitless in the eyes of the worldly, but to think so ignores the fact that Christ, – and His Immaculate Mother – triumph today as they always have. As they did on Golgotha’s bloody rock. With our blessed Lúcia’s help, we will keep to the safe path offered by Our Lady of the Rosary!

Although there is not much hope that the Church in its current chaotic state will honor this extraordinary saint, we offer the following prayer for the recognition of her heroic sanctity. It is inspired by the prayers of Fatima.

Prayer for Canonization of Sister Lúcia of Fatima

From Guadalupe to Fatima, 2019

Hail, O Virgin of Guadalupe, Empress of America!
Keep forever under thy powerful patronage the purity and integrity of Our Holy Faith on the entire American continent. Amen. (Pope Pius XII)

Pope Pius XII is reported to have said of Our Lady of Guadalupe, “For we are certain, that as long as you are recognized as Queen and Mother, Mexico and America will be safe.” Think about that as you survey the horrid wreckage of the faith and Christian culture throughout the countries of the entire Americas today. And then, consider how simply we could restore the glory of Holy Church by following the request of Our Lord Jesus Christ to return to His Sacred Heart by means of the sure path He has given us, devotion to the Immaculata, the Woman Clothed with the Sun.

The Age of Apostasy

The Age of Apostasy began with the disobedience of Luther, who was Lucifer’s own priest, and whose revolt ripped through Christendom in the sixteenth century and left in its wake an orphan people, bereft of grace, endlessly prating about the dignity of man while assiduously destroying any sign of man’s true dignity which is to be found  only  in the love of Our Lord Jesus Christ. For our sole dignity is in Our Lord Jesus Christ who has first loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood. (Apoc. 1,5)

Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, 2019

The  Secret of the Secret of Fatima  is  reparative devotion to God through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  Until such time as reparation has been made  – or extracted from mankind – the fury of the chastisement will increase even as the grace and mercy of God will withdraw like the tide ebbing away before the tsunami rolls in.

It is difficult to do this matter justice in these circumstances. But you must know this: There is one essential devotion that you must do. The grace which is needed for the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary depends on it.

Retirement

Updated 12-20-2019: It is our intention here at Return to Fatima to remake the site into a resource for those who are devoted to Our Lady of the Rosary at Fatima. I hope to leave the site up, not as a blog, but as a place where people who are interested in learning more about the message of Our Lady of Fatima and its relationship to the current crisis in the Church within the context of the approved prophecies of the Church, and including Sacred Scriptures as well.

For those who have come to enjoy my frequent articles, I hope to offer a newsletter, which will begin soon after the new year, God willing.

We are on the brink of an even worse crisis; it is the time of winnowing; We have no lack of posers who represent themselves as leading traditional Catholics. But what is needed are generous souls to follow Our Lady, for as Sister Lucia assures us, “she is the seat of mercy, of goodness and of pardon, and (is) the certain door by which we are to enter Heaven.”

Now is the time to prepare for our re-consecrations! The link for our post on the Rosary Novena for the Immaculate Conception of Mary is here: LINK

Christ the King and the Synod of Darkness

Today, the closing day of the Synod of Darkness, is also the Feast of Christ the King in the Traditional (true) observance. Now this Synod is finally over and we need to get back to the faith. This Synod’s carefully orchestrated attacks, coming daily throughout this month of Our Lady’s Rosary has certainly been brutal! Most Precious Blood of Jesus, save us! The following post is my best effort to help us get back on track.

During His Passion, Pilate asked Our Lord Jesus Christ, “Art Thou the King of the Jews?” As St. John relates,

Jesus answered: ‘My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would certainly strive that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now My kingdom is not from hence.’ Pilate therefore said to Him: Art Thou a king then? Jesus answered: ‘Thou sayest that I am a king. For this was I born, and for this came I into the world; that I should give testimony to the truth. Every one that is of the truth, heareth My voice.’

'Thou sayest that I am a king. For this was I born, and for this came I into the world; that I should give testimony to the truth. Every one that is of the truth, heareth My voice.'
‘Thou sayest that I am a king. For this was I born, and for this came I into the world; that I should give testimony to the truth. Every one that is of the truth, heareth My voice.’

Pilate saith to Him: What is truth? And when he said this, he went out again to the Jews…” (John 18, 33-38)

Notice that Pilate, after asking Jesus, “What is truth?” walked away without attending to His answer. So typical of the worldly leaders! Jesus tells Pilate that everyone who is of the truth hears His voice and Pilate proves that he is not of the truth by ignoring Christ the King’s voice. Even more, Pilate shrugged off the very idea of truth!

Pilate’s indifference to the truth has so permeated the leadership of the Church that it was the underlying theme at the Pan-Amazon Synod, which we referred to as the Synod of Darkness for this very reason. Satanic darkness is confusion and deceit, malice and blasphemy institutionalized.

My Kingdom Is Not of This World

‘Thou sayest that I am a king. For this was I born, and for this came I into the world; that I should give testimony to the truth. Every one that is of the truth, heareth My voice.’ (John 18, 36)

Our Lord said these words in front of a jeering mob crying for His crucifixion and death. He was not wearing splendid garments but clothed in His bloodied and dirtied robe; not crowned with gold and jewels but with hateful thorns. Thus His appearance affirms His message, that is, that His Kingdom is not of this world. There is enmity between His Kingdom and the false kingdoms of this world.

But there is no enmity between this apostate pope and the world. For he serves the Lord of the World and does his bidding. And there is none to stop him save the Truth Himself, Christ our King and the Woman He chose before all time to be His Mother, She to whom the Victory has been given, the Immaculata.

If we apply the above passage to the current crisis, which is the Passion of the Bride of Christ, we understand correctly the only way out of this dilemma. At the present time, we are in danger of being led to accept false solutions. There are two forces contending to gain the upper hand in this crisis and both of them are misleading.  The worldly forces represent the usual marxist dialectic: on one side, the globalist forces of the nations united with the neo-pagan Bergoglian Church, and on the other, its supposed foe, the forces which have arisen within the Church to combat it. But this is deceptive, for both these sides ignore the true Way, the Truth, the Life that is Christ Jesus, True Head of the Church.

The Third – and True – Way

And that, dear readers is the True Way, the Way that can only be followed by the children of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. For you must understand, this current diabolical darkness and confusion is the direct result of the refusal of the leaders of the Church to obey the commands, first of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and then, of the Immaculate Heart of Christ’s own Mother. Anyone who aspires to lead the faithful to restore the Church, and is not an Apostle of her Immaculate Heart is misleading you.

As we have discussed before, marxist dialectic follows the dictum of Lenin that the best way to defeat the enemy is to be the enemy. That is, to control both sides, as in the false dichotomy of Republican vs. Democrat, liberal vs. conservative, modernist vs. “conservative” Catholics. Today, traditional Catholics have largely been managed downwards into either sedevacantists, who have made themselves irrelevant, or conservatives. Thus, very few traditional Catholics remain faithful to the true teachings of the Church regarding the spiritual nature of this great battle. This is the point where most you are parting ways with me. For the few remaining:

This group of leaders purporting to defend the Church consists of both clerical and laity, all united with the determination to elect a pope and gain control of the Church, ostensibly to restore it to order and drive out the infestation. So far, their efforts have been to issue best-selling books, statements and engage in various efforts to draw support for their leadership, all without actually ever obeying the requests of Our Lady of the Rosary at Fatima. For more on this see Follow the Logic if you can“, “Follow the Logic Part II”, and “Dispelling Confusion?” and also, By all means, let us tweet.

They want to “restore” the Church, but they will not obey Our Lady of the Rosary!

Recently, I threw up my hands in near despair at this situation, exclaiming in one post, “Just read Jeremias!” In that book of Sacred Scripture, Jeremias was by turns, ignored, despised and castigated, but never actually heard. The Chosen People simply went right on, determined to do things their way. The consequences were devastating, and their eventual repentance never came until after a severe chastisement.  As then, so today.

Traditional Catholics will have no true leader until they repent, and their change of heart draws down God’s mercy. The victory will be Our Lady’s, and she will not reign in the Church through any but an Apostle of her Immaculate Heart. So you who read this with disdain, and choose to follow leaders after your own heart, will be led astray, putting your own souls at risk.

The Immaculate Mother of God has given us the keys to Victory – devotion to her sinless heart, the surest path to our Savior, and her Rosary, which is one long and powerful chain to bind Satan and free us from his power over us. Any true leader will work to establish First Saturdays of Reparation, and the Rosary both in devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Only thus can the reign of Jesus Christ King be re-established in the Church, and through the restored Church, throughout the world.

If only there were some way for Catholics to grasp the importance of this! But there is no one to lead them! If only they would wake up and heed her voice, we have been assured that our prayers been given such efficacy that all this disgusting sacrilege, blasphemy, heresy would be eradicated in the blink of an eye. Despite the rejection I receive daily, Our Lady does not deceive us and she will answer our prayers if we truly consecrate ourselves to Christ through her Immaculate Heart.

Some have told me that I spend too much time chiding indifference; that an encouraging word would be welcome. I understand, but my job is to warn, not to reassure. When you see what is in store, you will understand. But it will be late.

As reassurance, I encourage you to remember that our prayers are never more efficacious than when they are  forced through an act of the will from a heart burdened with the sorrows and disappointments of these bleak times; yes, especially when we least feel inclined to pray! Our Lord told Sister Josefa Menendez that that was when her prayers were most effective in saving poor sinners! (The Way of Divine Love, TAN Publishing).

The Synod closes today, on the traditional, i.e.,true Feast of Christ the King. In this Synod, we at last have reached the fulfillment of Vatican II, with the Pope actually destroying the papacy by his “decentralization” and destroying the sacred priesthood as well.   We face this latest insult to Our Lord with the knowledge that we are called with Him to humility and obedience, not to the Lord of the world, but to the true head of the Church, our thorn-crowned King.

We close with a prayer from Sister Carmela of the Holy Spirit, O.C.D.

Prayer to Jesus Christ the King

O Divine King, most amiable Jesus, my Redeemer, my Savior, my Spouse, my Master and my Model, I renew today the total consecration of my being to You, begging You to take absolute dominion over me. Be my Sovereign, my Ruler, my Guide. Direct and govern me entirely, so that everything may turn to Your greater glory. Be King of my memory, my intellect, my will, my emotions. I wish all to be completely subject to You and I invite You to reign in me.

Yours is a kingdom of truth, of love, of justice and of peace.

Grant that Your reign of Truth may be established in my mind, destroying all error, deceit and illusion. Enlighten me by Your divine wisdom.

Grant that Your reign of Love may be completely established in my will, to move it, draw it, and direct it always, so that I may no longer be moved by self-love or by creatures but by Your Holy Spirit alone. Make this weak, mean, rebellious will of mine strong, generous, constant. Make it grow stronger by the persevering exercise of virtue and by the gifts of Your Holy Spirit.

Grant that Your reign of Justice may be established in all my actions, so that all that I do may be a work of holiness accomplished with purity of intention and with the greatest fidelity in order to please You and accomplish Your holy will.

Grant that Your reign of Peace may be established not only in my soul, but also in my sensibility, so that, in harmony with the superior part of my soul it may give You glory and neither retard me nor be an obstacle to union with You. Amen.

October 1, 2019

Now, in the month of October, the month of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, the powers of darkness are gathering force over the Vatican. Their victory seems inevitable but we know to whom victory has been given and that is what gives this October, this month of the Holy Rosary, such a poignancy.

It is through her holy Rosary that Our Lady of Fatima chooses to lead us to victory. As the Church has recognised for centuries, the Blessed Virgin Mary protects her Church (for she is Mother of the Church!) by means of her Holy Rosary. Our time with her each day, as the beads slip quietly through our fingers and we murmur our loving prayers, is the time she nourishes our souls with the graces Our Lord desires for us to have in order to know Him, and to increase in His love.

In many writings here at Return to Fatima, I try to help readers, including the frequent skeptics who visit, to see the Rosary as it is, an intimate conversation between Mother and child, a loving exchange wherein such a deep union occurs as cannot be expressed in mere words.

But it is words that I must use, and although I am perhaps destined to fall short in the attempt, this short essay is my best effort. To understand the importance of the Rosary, we should first grasp the importance of the Immaculate Mother of God, she who “comes forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in array”. (Canticles 6, 9)

Why is Mary so great? Because from the beginning of creation, God willed this most blessed, perfect creature to be the Mother of His only-begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. She is the Sacred Tabernacle wherein the Holy Ghost fathered forth the Saviour of the world. Through her, entered salvation, although He might have chosen from an infinite variety of other ways… He chose Mary!

It was Mary’s humility, her humbleness before Him, so pure and so obedient, that made her such a perfect model for all of us, who are destined to become the heirs of His eternal Kingdom. St. Louis-Marie de Montfort assures us that Mary manifests her splendid power in these latter times because the salvation of the world began through Mary, and through her it will also be brought to completion.

We have often noted that as a result of disobedience and indifference to the commands of our heavenly Father given to us  through the Immaculata, grace has ebbed from the world, leaving it in a state of darkness, death and despair. And now, we see this especially in this looming Synod which begins in less than a week.  And so we must recall, now more than ever, that it is precisely in these darkest of times when the working of God in His Church may be seen through the Immaculata, Mediatrix of Grace.

In his masterwork, Who are you, O Immaculata?, Father Stehlin assures us, “… Mary comes to the help of endangered Christendom and brings about a victory over its enemies despite their overwhelmingly superior strength. The popes themselves have acknowledged over and over again this victory of Mary’s, particularly over the Turks, and have introduced special feast days in honor of the Blessed Virgin on the occasion of various miraculous interventions of the Mother of God. In his consecration of the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Pius XII summarizes this faith in Mary’s great power and entrusts to her the salvation of the Christian order: she establishes peace for a world at war and peace for souls; she leads those who have gone astray back to Christ’s sheepfold; she stops the onslaught of neo-paganism; she brings about the victory of Christ the King.

“In times of the greatest distress, God comes to the aid of the world by sending the Immaculata herself. Through her His actio comes to its full expression, because except for her all the other ways that God has of reaching us have been cut off, as it were, by the Enemy and the devil has occupied and controls all the bastions. God wills to save mankind, even in the end times. But how can this happen, when man can no longer find God’s truth in the confusion of the errors that prevail throughout the world, when he is tempted on all sides to be unfaithful to God and His law and to stray from the path of truth? Through the Immaculata!

“First God reveals to the world the true situation and the great danger through the personal intervention of the Immaculata, especially in her great messages of La Salette and Fatima. Then He sends His graces to the world as the “last means of salvation”, concentrating them in the Heart of the Immaculata:

‘With great longing I desire the spread of the devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, for this Heart is the magnet that draws souls to Me, the hearth that radiates to the world the streams of My light and My love. It is, finally, the inexhaustible spring from which flows into the world the living water of My mercy.’ “ (“Who Are You, O Immaculata?“)

Dear readers, we continue to call for the Irresistible Novena of Rosaries, as our weapon of choice against the dark forces gathered in Rome, determined to complete their victory over Christ’s Church. They believe that their victory is assured, and I hope that you understand that, when this month closes, it may well appear to be so. Certainly, the Church appears to be shattered into fragments as never before. Many faithful seem determined to relieve what has become an intolerable anxiety by urging us all to proclaim Benedict the true Pope and formally reject Francis as an anti-pope. Regardless of which is the “true pope”,  we need to understand this one thing clearly:

THE CHURCH IS GOD’S

It was founded by Our Lord Jesus Christ, by His Sacred Blood, poured out for us on the Cross. He is the true Head of the Church. He established it as an absolute Monarchy, reserving to Himself the right to reign over the Pope, who serves only as His representative, His Vicar.

GOD HAS GIVEN US THE REMEDY

In the tragic event of a defective pope, and despite all the confusion and clamor, Christ Himself has decreed the solution to be through His own Immaculate Mother, to whom the Church is entrusted by His dying words from that same Cross of our salvation. Now this most Holy Mother of God has told us what to do. Her words were clear and simple and they were entrusted to little children at Fatima.

THE REMEDY IS THE IMMACULATA

Jacinta, Francisco and Lúcia, understood them. They were not able to read or write, they did not even know the name of the pope, much less feel confident of their ability to decide for themselves whether the pope was truly the pope, or opine on deep matters of theology and church history. And yet they were entrusted with the Message of Our Lady of Fatima. Think of this!

Obedience to the Immaculata’s message is not some sort of spiritual passivity. It requires that we put devotion to her, obedience to her message first, setting her will above our own. We must be totally consecrated to her Immaculate Heart. Only then will we all be given a leader and a way to follow the Immaculata to her inevitable victory over the powers of evil usurping the Church.

Anyone who presumes to lead the faithful to a solution of the present crisis will be, clearly and unequivocally a servant of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, proclaiming her message as fully and clearly as she gave it to us without any modernist obfuscation.

It is only when one of two things happen that the Church will truly be free of the present evils:

Either sufficient of us arise and follow Our Lady as she has commanded in her message of Fatima, in penance and reparation, in humility and obedience, -OR- Through the provident justice of God, reparation will be made by a spiritual and material chastisement far surpassing anything that has been proposed or could be imagined.

As darkness closes over us and false shepherds arise among us, leading many astray, we pray our Rosaries and look to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Our Most Holy Mother, “the seat of mercy, of goodness and of pardon, and as the certain door by which we are to enter Heaven.” (Sr. Lúcia)

A reader suggested we add the Consecration to the Immaculata here, and so, here are two:

St. Louis-Marie Grignon de Monfort’s

Act of Consecration to Jesus through Mary

O ETERNAL and incarnate Wisdom! O sweetest and most adorable Jesus! True God and true man, only Son of the Eternal Father, and of Mary, always virgin! I adore Thee profoundly in the bosom and splendors of Thy Father during eternity; and I adore Thee also in the virginal bosom of Mary, Thy most worthy Mother, in the time of Thine incarnation.

I give Thee thanks for that Thou hast annihilated Thyself, taking the form of a slave in order to rescue me from the cruel slavery of the devil. I praise and glorify Thee for that Thou hast been pleased to submit Thyself to Mary, Thy holy Mother, in all things, in order to make me Thy faithful slave through her. But, alas! Ungrateful and faithless as I have been, I have not kept the promises which I made so solemnly to Thee in my Baptism; I have not fulfilled my obligations; I do not deserve to be called Thy child, nor yet Thy slave; and as there is nothing in me which does not merit Thine anger and Thy repulse, I dare not come by myself before Thy most holy and august Majesty. It is on this account that I have recourse to the intercession of Thy most holy Mother, whom Thou hast given me for a mediatrix with Thee. It is through her that I hope to obtain of Thee contrition, the pardon of my sins, and the acquisition and preservation of wisdom.

Hail, then, O immaculate Mary, living tabernacle of the Divinity, where the Eternal Wisdom willed to be hidden and to be adored by angels and by men! Hail, O Queen of Heaven and earth, to whose empire everything is subject which is under God. Hail, O sure refuge of sinners, whose mercy fails no one. Hear the desires which I have of the Divine Wisdom; and for that end receive the vows and offerings which in my lowliness I present to thee.

I, ________________, a faithless sinner, renew and ratify today in thy hands the vows of my Baptism; I renounce forever Satan, his pomps and works; and I give myself entirely to Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life, and to be more faithful to Him than I have ever been before. In the presence of all the heavenly court I choose thee this day for my Mother and Mistress. I deliver and consecrate to thee, as thy slave, my body and soul, my goods, both interior and exterior, and even the value of all my good actions, past, present and future; leaving to thee the entire and full right of disposing of me, and all that belongs to me, without exception, according to thy good pleasure, for the greater glory of God in time and in eternity.

Receive, O benignant Virgin, this little offering of my slavery, in honor of, and in union with, that subjection which the Eternal Wisdom deigned to have to thy maternity; in homage to the power which both of you have over this poor sinner, and in thanksgiving for the privileges with which the Holy Trinity has favored thee. I declare that I wish henceforth, as thy true slave, to seek thy honor and to obey thee in all things.

O admirable Mother, present me to thy dear Son as His eternal slave, so that as He has redeemed me by thee, by thee He may also receive me! O Mother of mercy, grant me the grace to obtain the true Wisdom of God; and for that end receive me among those whom thou lovest, teachest, and protectest as thy children and thy slaves.

O faithful Virgin, make me in all things so perfect a disciple, imitator and slave of the Incarnate Wisdom, Jesus Christ thy Son, that I may attain, by thine intercession and by thine example, to the fullness of His age on earth and of His glory in Heaven. Amen. (St. Louis-Marie Grignon de Monfort, True Devotion to Mary, with Preparation for Total Consecration”, by Catholic Way, Kindle Edition).

Saint Maximilian Kolbe’s:

Act of Consecration to Mary Immaculate

O Immaculata, Queen of Heaven and Earth, Refuge of sinners and our most loving Mother, whom God has made the treasurer of His mercy, I, an unworthy sinner, throw myself at thy most holy feet and humbly beseech thee to accept me, whole and entire as thy property and possession.

To thee, O Mother, I offer all the faculties of my soul and body, and I place my life, my death and my eternity in thy hands, that thou may use my entire being according to thy will. Use me, O Immaculate Virgin as thou will, to fulfill that which was written of thee – “She shall crush thy head”, and “Thou hast destroyed all heresies in all the world”.

Deign that I may become in thy most pure and merciful hands a useful instrument to make thee known and loved by so many erring and indifferent souls, and also to increase as much as possible the number of those who truly admire and love thee in order that the Kingdom of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus may be spread throughout the world.

This I can do, O Most Holy and Immaculate Mother, only with thy help, for wherever thou bestow thy grace, there alone can the conversion and sanctification of souls be achieved, and there alone can the sweet Kingdom of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus be established.
