Christ the King and the Synod of Darkness

Today, the closing day of the Synod of Darkness, is also the Feast of Christ the King in the Traditional (true) observance. Now this Synod is finally over and we need to get back to the faith. This Synod’s carefully orchestrated attacks, coming daily throughout this month of Our Lady’s Rosary has certainly been brutal! Most Precious Blood of Jesus, save us! The following post is my best effort to help us get back on track.

During His Passion, Pilate asked Our Lord Jesus Christ, “Art Thou the King of the Jews?” As St. John relates,

Jesus answered: ‘My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would certainly strive that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now My kingdom is not from hence.’ Pilate therefore said to Him: Art Thou a king then? Jesus answered: ‘Thou sayest that I am a king. For this was I born, and for this came I into the world; that I should give testimony to the truth. Every one that is of the truth, heareth My voice.’

'Thou sayest that I am a king. For this was I born, and for this came I into the world; that I should give testimony to the truth. Every one that is of the truth, heareth My voice.'
‘Thou sayest that I am a king. For this was I born, and for this came I into the world; that I should give testimony to the truth. Every one that is of the truth, heareth My voice.’

Pilate saith to Him: What is truth? And when he said this, he went out again to the Jews…” (John 18, 33-38)

Notice that Pilate, after asking Jesus, “What is truth?” walked away without attending to His answer. So typical of the worldly leaders! Jesus tells Pilate that everyone who is of the truth hears His voice and Pilate proves that he is not of the truth by ignoring Christ the King’s voice. Even more, Pilate shrugged off the very idea of truth!

Pilate’s indifference to the truth has so permeated the leadership of the Church that it was the underlying theme at the Pan-Amazon Synod, which we referred to as the Synod of Darkness for this very reason. Satanic darkness is confusion and deceit, malice and blasphemy institutionalized.

My Kingdom Is Not of This World

‘Thou sayest that I am a king. For this was I born, and for this came I into the world; that I should give testimony to the truth. Every one that is of the truth, heareth My voice.’ (John 18, 36)

Our Lord said these words in front of a jeering mob crying for His crucifixion and death. He was not wearing splendid garments but clothed in His bloodied and dirtied robe; not crowned with gold and jewels but with hateful thorns. Thus His appearance affirms His message, that is, that His Kingdom is not of this world. There is enmity between His Kingdom and the false kingdoms of this world.

But there is no enmity between this apostate pope and the world. For he serves the Lord of the World and does his bidding. And there is none to stop him save the Truth Himself, Christ our King and the Woman He chose before all time to be His Mother, She to whom the Victory has been given, the Immaculata.

If we apply the above passage to the current crisis, which is the Passion of the Bride of Christ, we understand correctly the only way out of this dilemma. At the present time, we are in danger of being led to accept false solutions. There are two forces contending to gain the upper hand in this crisis and both of them are misleading.  The worldly forces represent the usual marxist dialectic: on one side, the globalist forces of the nations united with the neo-pagan Bergoglian Church, and on the other, its supposed foe, the forces which have arisen within the Church to combat it. But this is deceptive, for both these sides ignore the true Way, the Truth, the Life that is Christ Jesus, True Head of the Church.

The Third – and True – Way

And that, dear readers is the True Way, the Way that can only be followed by the children of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. For you must understand, this current diabolical darkness and confusion is the direct result of the refusal of the leaders of the Church to obey the commands, first of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and then, of the Immaculate Heart of Christ’s own Mother. Anyone who aspires to lead the faithful to restore the Church, and is not an Apostle of her Immaculate Heart is misleading you.

As we have discussed before, marxist dialectic follows the dictum of Lenin that the best way to defeat the enemy is to be the enemy. That is, to control both sides, as in the false dichotomy of Republican vs. Democrat, liberal vs. conservative, modernist vs. “conservative” Catholics. Today, traditional Catholics have largely been managed downwards into either sedevacantists, who have made themselves irrelevant, or conservatives. Thus, very few traditional Catholics remain faithful to the true teachings of the Church regarding the spiritual nature of this great battle. This is the point where most you are parting ways with me. For the few remaining:

This group of leaders purporting to defend the Church consists of both clerical and laity, all united with the determination to elect a pope and gain control of the Church, ostensibly to restore it to order and drive out the infestation. So far, their efforts have been to issue best-selling books, statements and engage in various efforts to draw support for their leadership, all without actually ever obeying the requests of Our Lady of the Rosary at Fatima. For more on this see Follow the Logic if you can“, “Follow the Logic Part II”, and “Dispelling Confusion?” and also, By all means, let us tweet.

They want to “restore” the Church, but they will not obey Our Lady of the Rosary!

Recently, I threw up my hands in near despair at this situation, exclaiming in one post, “Just read Jeremias!” In that book of Sacred Scripture, Jeremias was by turns, ignored, despised and castigated, but never actually heard. The Chosen People simply went right on, determined to do things their way. The consequences were devastating, and their eventual repentance never came until after a severe chastisement.  As then, so today.

Traditional Catholics will have no true leader until they repent, and their change of heart draws down God’s mercy. The victory will be Our Lady’s, and she will not reign in the Church through any but an Apostle of her Immaculate Heart. So you who read this with disdain, and choose to follow leaders after your own heart, will be led astray, putting your own souls at risk.

The Immaculate Mother of God has given us the keys to Victory – devotion to her sinless heart, the surest path to our Savior, and her Rosary, which is one long and powerful chain to bind Satan and free us from his power over us. Any true leader will work to establish First Saturdays of Reparation, and the Rosary both in devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Only thus can the reign of Jesus Christ King be re-established in the Church, and through the restored Church, throughout the world.

If only there were some way for Catholics to grasp the importance of this! But there is no one to lead them! If only they would wake up and heed her voice, we have been assured that our prayers been given such efficacy that all this disgusting sacrilege, blasphemy, heresy would be eradicated in the blink of an eye. Despite the rejection I receive daily, Our Lady does not deceive us and she will answer our prayers if we truly consecrate ourselves to Christ through her Immaculate Heart.

Some have told me that I spend too much time chiding indifference; that an encouraging word would be welcome. I understand, but my job is to warn, not to reassure. When you see what is in store, you will understand. But it will be late.

As reassurance, I encourage you to remember that our prayers are never more efficacious than when they are  forced through an act of the will from a heart burdened with the sorrows and disappointments of these bleak times; yes, especially when we least feel inclined to pray! Our Lord told Sister Josefa Menendez that that was when her prayers were most effective in saving poor sinners! (The Way of Divine Love, TAN Publishing).

The Synod closes today, on the traditional, i.e.,true Feast of Christ the King. In this Synod, we at last have reached the fulfillment of Vatican II, with the Pope actually destroying the papacy by his “decentralization” and destroying the sacred priesthood as well.   We face this latest insult to Our Lord with the knowledge that we are called with Him to humility and obedience, not to the Lord of the world, but to the true head of the Church, our thorn-crowned King.

We close with a prayer from Sister Carmela of the Holy Spirit, O.C.D.

Prayer to Jesus Christ the King

O Divine King, most amiable Jesus, my Redeemer, my Savior, my Spouse, my Master and my Model, I renew today the total consecration of my being to You, begging You to take absolute dominion over me. Be my Sovereign, my Ruler, my Guide. Direct and govern me entirely, so that everything may turn to Your greater glory. Be King of my memory, my intellect, my will, my emotions. I wish all to be completely subject to You and I invite You to reign in me.

Yours is a kingdom of truth, of love, of justice and of peace.

Grant that Your reign of Truth may be established in my mind, destroying all error, deceit and illusion. Enlighten me by Your divine wisdom.

Grant that Your reign of Love may be completely established in my will, to move it, draw it, and direct it always, so that I may no longer be moved by self-love or by creatures but by Your Holy Spirit alone. Make this weak, mean, rebellious will of mine strong, generous, constant. Make it grow stronger by the persevering exercise of virtue and by the gifts of Your Holy Spirit.

Grant that Your reign of Justice may be established in all my actions, so that all that I do may be a work of holiness accomplished with purity of intention and with the greatest fidelity in order to please You and accomplish Your holy will.

Grant that Your reign of Peace may be established not only in my soul, but also in my sensibility, so that, in harmony with the superior part of my soul it may give You glory and neither retard me nor be an obstacle to union with You. Amen.

Remember – Our Lady needs us to obey:  First Saturdays of Reparation, daily rosary, at least 5 mysteries, wear her brown scapular and live your Total Consecration to her Immaculate Heart, offering daily duties in reparation and for the conversion of poor sinners.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of our hearts, Mother of the Church, do thou offer to the Eternal Father the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, for the conversion of poor sinners, especially our Pontiff.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy kingdom come! Viva Cristo Rey!
St. Joseph, protect us, protect our families, protect our priests.
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.

Vouchsafe that I may praise thee, O Sacred Virgin! Give me strength against thine enemies!

October 1, 2019

Now, in the month of October, the month of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, the powers of darkness are gathering force over the Vatican. Their victory seems inevitable but we know to whom victory has been given and that is what gives this October, this month of the Holy Rosary, such a poignancy.

It is through her holy Rosary that Our Lady of Fatima chooses to lead us to victory. As the Church has recognised for centuries, the Blessed Virgin Mary protects her Church (for she is Mother of the Church!) by means of her Holy Rosary. Our time with her each day, as the beads slip quietly through our fingers and we murmur our loving prayers, is the time she nourishes our souls with the graces Our Lord desires for us to have in order to know Him, and to increase in His love.

In many writings here at Return to Fatima, I try to help readers, including the frequent skeptics who visit, to see the Rosary as it is, an intimate conversation between Mother and child, a loving exchange wherein such a deep union occurs as cannot be expressed in mere words.

But it is words that I must use, and although I am perhaps destined to fall short in the attempt, this short essay is my best effort. To understand the importance of the Rosary, we should first grasp the importance of the Immaculate Mother of God, she who “comes forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in array”. (Canticles 6, 9)

Why is Mary so great? Because from the beginning of creation, God willed this most blessed, perfect creature to be the Mother of His only-begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. She is the Sacred Tabernacle wherein the Holy Ghost fathered forth the Saviour of the world. Through her, entered salvation, although He might have chosen from an infinite variety of other ways… He chose Mary!

It was Mary’s humility, her humbleness before Him, so pure and so obedient, that made her such a perfect model for all of us, who are destined to become the heirs of His eternal Kingdom. St. Louis-Marie de Montfort assures us that Mary manifests her splendid power in these latter times because the salvation of the world began through Mary, and through her it will also be brought to completion.

We have often noted that as a result of disobedience and indifference to the commands of our heavenly Father given to us  through the Immaculata, grace has ebbed from the world, leaving it in a state of darkness, death and despair. And now, we see this especially in this looming Synod which begins in less than a week.  And so we must recall, now more than ever, that it is precisely in these darkest of times when the working of God in His Church may be seen through the Immaculata, Mediatrix of Grace.

In his masterwork, Who are you, O Immaculata?, Father Stehlin assures us, “… Mary comes to the help of endangered Christendom and brings about a victory over its enemies despite their overwhelmingly superior strength. The popes themselves have acknowledged over and over again this victory of Mary’s, particularly over the Turks, and have introduced special feast days in honor of the Blessed Virgin on the occasion of various miraculous interventions of the Mother of God. In his consecration of the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Pius XII summarizes this faith in Mary’s great power and entrusts to her the salvation of the Christian order: she establishes peace for a world at war and peace for souls; she leads those who have gone astray back to Christ’s sheepfold; she stops the onslaught of neo-paganism; she brings about the victory of Christ the King.

“In times of the greatest distress, God comes to the aid of the world by sending the Immaculata herself. Through her His actio comes to its full expression, because except for her all the other ways that God has of reaching us have been cut off, as it were, by the Enemy and the devil has occupied and controls all the bastions. God wills to save mankind, even in the end times. But how can this happen, when man can no longer find God’s truth in the confusion of the errors that prevail throughout the world, when he is tempted on all sides to be unfaithful to God and His law and to stray from the path of truth? Through the Immaculata!

“First God reveals to the world the true situation and the great danger through the personal intervention of the Immaculata, especially in her great messages of La Salette and Fatima. Then He sends His graces to the world as the “last means of salvation”, concentrating them in the Heart of the Immaculata:

‘With great longing I desire the spread of the devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, for this Heart is the magnet that draws souls to Me, the hearth that radiates to the world the streams of My light and My love. It is, finally, the inexhaustible spring from which flows into the world the living water of My mercy.’ “ (“Who Are You, O Immaculata?“)

Dear readers, we continue to call for the Irresistible Novena of Rosaries, as our weapon of choice against the dark forces gathered in Rome, determined to complete their victory over Christ’s Church. They believe that their victory is assured, and I hope that you understand that, when this month closes, it may well appear to be so. Certainly, the Church appears to be shattered into fragments as never before. Many faithful seem determined to relieve what has become an intolerable anxiety by urging us all to proclaim Benedict the true Pope and formally reject Francis as an anti-pope. Regardless of which is the “true pope”,  we need to understand this one thing clearly:

THE CHURCH IS GOD’S

It was founded by Our Lord Jesus Christ, by His Sacred Blood, poured out for us on the Cross. He is the true Head of the Church. He established it as an absolute Monarchy, reserving to Himself the right to reign over the Pope, who serves only as His representative, His Vicar.

GOD HAS GIVEN US THE REMEDY

In the tragic event of a defective pope, and despite all the confusion and clamor, Christ Himself has decreed the solution to be through His own Immaculate Mother, to whom the Church is entrusted by His dying words from that same Cross of our salvation. Now this most Holy Mother of God has told us what to do. Her words were clear and simple and they were entrusted to little children at Fatima.

THE REMEDY IS THE IMMACULATA

Jacinta, Francisco and Lúcia, understood them. They were not able to read or write, they did not even know the name of the pope, much less feel confident of their ability to decide for themselves whether the pope was truly the pope, or opine on deep matters of theology and church history. And yet they were entrusted with the Message of Our Lady of Fatima. Think of this!

Obedience to the Immaculata’s message is not some sort of spiritual passivity. It requires that we put devotion to her, obedience to her message first, setting her will above our own. We must be totally consecrated to her Immaculate Heart. Only then will we all be given a leader and a way to follow the Immaculata to her inevitable victory over the powers of evil usurping the Church.

Anyone who presumes to lead the faithful to a solution of the present crisis will be, clearly and unequivocally a servant of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, proclaiming her message as fully and clearly as she gave it to us without any modernist obfuscation.

It is only when one of two things happen that the Church will truly be free of the present evils:

Either sufficient of us arise and follow Our Lady as she has commanded in her message of Fatima, in penance and reparation, in humility and obedience, -OR- Through the provident justice of God, reparation will be made by a spiritual and material chastisement far surpassing anything that has been proposed or could be imagined.

As darkness closes over us and false shepherds arise among us, leading many astray, we pray our Rosaries and look to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Our Most Holy Mother, “the seat of mercy, of goodness and of pardon, and as the certain door by which we are to enter Heaven.” (Sr. Lúcia)

A reader suggested we add the Consecration to the Immaculata here, and so, here are two:

St. Louis-Marie Grignon de Monfort’s

Act of Consecration to Jesus through Mary

O ETERNAL and incarnate Wisdom! O sweetest and most adorable Jesus! True God and true man, only Son of the Eternal Father, and of Mary, always virgin! I adore Thee profoundly in the bosom and splendors of Thy Father during eternity; and I adore Thee also in the virginal bosom of Mary, Thy most worthy Mother, in the time of Thine incarnation.

I give Thee thanks for that Thou hast annihilated Thyself, taking the form of a slave in order to rescue me from the cruel slavery of the devil. I praise and glorify Thee for that Thou hast been pleased to submit Thyself to Mary, Thy holy Mother, in all things, in order to make me Thy faithful slave through her. But, alas! Ungrateful and faithless as I have been, I have not kept the promises which I made so solemnly to Thee in my Baptism; I have not fulfilled my obligations; I do not deserve to be called Thy child, nor yet Thy slave; and as there is nothing in me which does not merit Thine anger and Thy repulse, I dare not come by myself before Thy most holy and august Majesty. It is on this account that I have recourse to the intercession of Thy most holy Mother, whom Thou hast given me for a mediatrix with Thee. It is through her that I hope to obtain of Thee contrition, the pardon of my sins, and the acquisition and preservation of wisdom.

Hail, then, O immaculate Mary, living tabernacle of the Divinity, where the Eternal Wisdom willed to be hidden and to be adored by angels and by men! Hail, O Queen of Heaven and earth, to whose empire everything is subject which is under God. Hail, O sure refuge of sinners, whose mercy fails no one. Hear the desires which I have of the Divine Wisdom; and for that end receive the vows and offerings which in my lowliness I present to thee.

I, ________________, a faithless sinner, renew and ratify today in thy hands the vows of my Baptism; I renounce forever Satan, his pomps and works; and I give myself entirely to Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life, and to be more faithful to Him than I have ever been before. In the presence of all the heavenly court I choose thee this day for my Mother and Mistress. I deliver and consecrate to thee, as thy slave, my body and soul, my goods, both interior and exterior, and even the value of all my good actions, past, present and future; leaving to thee the entire and full right of disposing of me, and all that belongs to me, without exception, according to thy good pleasure, for the greater glory of God in time and in eternity.

Receive, O benignant Virgin, this little offering of my slavery, in honor of, and in union with, that subjection which the Eternal Wisdom deigned to have to thy maternity; in homage to the power which both of you have over this poor sinner, and in thanksgiving for the privileges with which the Holy Trinity has favored thee. I declare that I wish henceforth, as thy true slave, to seek thy honor and to obey thee in all things.

O admirable Mother, present me to thy dear Son as His eternal slave, so that as He has redeemed me by thee, by thee He may also receive me! O Mother of mercy, grant me the grace to obtain the true Wisdom of God; and for that end receive me among those whom thou lovest, teachest, and protectest as thy children and thy slaves.

O faithful Virgin, make me in all things so perfect a disciple, imitator and slave of the Incarnate Wisdom, Jesus Christ thy Son, that I may attain, by thine intercession and by thine example, to the fullness of His age on earth and of His glory in Heaven. Amen. (St. Louis-Marie Grignon de Monfort, True Devotion to Mary, with Preparation for Total Consecration”, by Catholic Way, Kindle Edition).

Saint Maximilian Kolbe’s:

Act of Consecration to Mary Immaculate

O Immaculata, Queen of Heaven and Earth, Refuge of sinners and our most loving Mother, whom God has made the treasurer of His mercy, I, an unworthy sinner, throw myself at thy most holy feet and humbly beseech thee to accept me, whole and entire as thy property and possession.

To thee, O Mother, I offer all the faculties of my soul and body, and I place my life, my death and my eternity in thy hands, that thou may use my entire being according to thy will. Use me, O Immaculate Virgin as thou will, to fulfill that which was written of thee – “She shall crush thy head”, and “Thou hast destroyed all heresies in all the world”.

Deign that I may become in thy most pure and merciful hands a useful instrument to make thee known and loved by so many erring and indifferent souls, and also to increase as much as possible the number of those who truly admire and love thee in order that the Kingdom of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus may be spread throughout the world.

This I can do, O Most Holy and Immaculate Mother, only with thy help, for wherever thou bestow thy grace, there alone can the conversion and sanctification of souls be achieved, and there alone can the sweet Kingdom of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus be established.

Honor the Holy Name of Mary!

Today, a re-post of evensong’s tribute to the Holy Name of Mary.

September is the month of the Sorrowful Heart of Mary. One of her greatest sorrows is the blasphemy heaped on her and on her Divine Son,Our Lord. Indeed, Our Lady loves Him so perfectly as to be united with Him in all of His trials, and shares every blasphemy against His most holy name. And so in this most blasphemous age when virtually no task, nor even any “entertainment” can be completed without blaspheming the most holy name of Jesus, it is not surprising to find the name of Mary so despised. The Pope, who always seeks to defend those he considers most helpless, such as the army of illegal aliens flooding into all the formerly Christian countries, has yet to defend Our Lady against the defamation of her holy name and her images, so shamefully defaced.

In fact, the indifference shown to the almost daily attacks against the holy names of Jesus and Mary, and the defacing of their sacred images, adds greatly to the disrespect that wells up among  the faithful for our faithless “shepherds”, who ignore the spiritual needs of their flock in order to function as secular NGO’s.

Today we honor the Holy Name of Mary, the Mother of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and by His infinite mercy, our Mother as well.  Our Lord has entrusted us to her Immaculate Heart. We honor her today and make reparation for those so unfortunate as to disdain her, especially those within the church. This is a good opportunity to make reparation for the blasphemy against her that is so offensive to Our Lord Jesus Christ.

St. Bernard of Clairvaux on the Holy Name of Mary

O man, whoever you are, if you realize that in the whirlwind of this world, far from walking on firm ground, you are driven hither and thither by storms and tempests, turn not your eyes from this bright Star, if you do not want to be swallowed up by the hurricane. If the winds of temptation are stirred up, if you encounter dangers and tribulations, look at the Star, and invoke Mary: “respice Stellam, voca Mariam”!

If you are shaken by waves of pride, ambition, criticism or jealousy, look at the Star and invoke Mary! If anger, avarice, or the seductions of the flesh stir up a storm in your soul, cast a glance towards Mary, “respice ad Mariam”. If troubled by the enormity of your crimes, confused by the weight of the sins on your conscience, you feel yourself slipping into the whirlpool of sadness and the abyss of despair, then think of Mary, “cogita Mariam”. In perils, in anguish, in perplexity, think of Mary, invoke Mary. Let Her name be constantly on your lips, let it never leave your heart…

In 1930, Our Lord explained to Sister Lúcia that the reason for Five First Saturdays of Reparation was there are five offenses to the Blessed Virgin; among these blasphemies against her are most prevalent today. In addition to our First Saturdays devotion, the Litany to the Holy Name of Mary is a good way to make reparation.

Prayer of Reparation for Blasphemy Against the Blessed Virgin Mary

Most glorious Virgin Mary, Mother of God and our Mother, turn thine eyes in pity upon us, miserable sinners; we are sorely afflicted by the many evils that surround us in this life, but especially do we feel our hearts break within us upon hearing the dreadful insults and blasphemies uttered against thee, O Virgin Immaculate.

O how these impious sayings offend the infinite Majesty of God and of His only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ! How they provoke His indignation and give us cause to fear the terrible effects of His vengeance! Would that the sacrifice of our lives might avail to put an end to such outrages and blasphemies! Were it so, how gladly we should make that sacrifice; for we desire, O most holy Mother, to love thee and to honor thee with all our hearts, since this is the will of God. And because we love thee, we will do all that is in our power to make thee honored and loved by all men.

In the meantime do thou, our merciful Mother, comforter of the afflicted, accept this our act of reparation which we offer thee for ourselves and for all our families, as well as for all who impiously blaspheme thee, not knowing what they say. Do thou obtain for them from Almighty God the grace of conversion, and thus render more manifest and more glorious thy kindness, thy power and thy great mercy. May they join with us in proclaiming thee blessed among women, the Immaculate Virgin and most compassionate Mother of God. Amen.

The Name of Mary at the Hour of Death

O Mary, my tender Mother, imprint thy Name, with that of Jesus, upon the inmost recesses of my heart. Obtain for me of God, in my last hour, to utter thy blessed Name and that of thy Son, with lively faith and ardent love, in order that by the virtue of these holy Names, the enemies of my salvation may be put to flight, and I may resign my soul into the hands of my Heavenly Father. Amen.

“Spread the word”

NOTE: Readers are tired of me writing posts like the following one, and I am discouraged to repeat myself, so the following will likely be my last attempt in this regard. From here on out, just read Jeremias. That man warned God’s Chosen people for many years and they despised him and his message. They preferred their own ways, which did not involve acknowledging any sin on their part, any need for repentance or reparation. Eventually the chastisement so long withheld caught up with them, devastation and desolation followed and a chastened people received a period of peace. It is ever the same. Worldly people prefer worldly remedies for their problems. When the problems are spiritual, this is never a good idea.

And when the secular solutions totally ignore the urgent Message from God’s own Mother, it only makes greater suffering for all. All.

Regarding the growing movement to declare that, “Francis is an anti-pope, Benedict is the true pope. Spread the word.”

In an article from September 2015, Was Pope Benedict SWIFTed?”  we concluded that it certainly appears that Benedict resigned under duress and we noted that the SWIFT banking system is located in Belgium, the same country where now deceased Cardinal Danneels, a leader in the St. Gallen/Lavender Mafia, still at that time, retained great power.

It is quite logical to conclude that the enemies of the Church have conspired to put a “man after their own hearts” – and very dark are those hearts indeed! – into the papacy. And Jorge Mario Bergoglio is certainly the brutal destroyer they have longed for.

The problem in all this is the simplistic attitude that we can all unite and remove this “false pope” as though we were merely taking out the garbage. The Church is the creation of Our Lord Jesus Christ Who built it upon the rock of the papacy, an absolute monarchy. That was not some kind of “Divine mistake”! This absolute monarchy means that God reserves to Himself the final right to remove an errant pope.

The purpose of a spiritual chastisement is to humble the faithful when they have become arrogant and disobedient. That is, to call us to return humbly and with contrite hearts, to a childlike dependence on God, for we are called to be His children, and He did not give us His permission to run the Church. We are foolish if we think that we are exempt from following the commands of Our Lady of Fatima, and free to follow our own will.

How many of leaders of this movement to “spread the news that Francis is a false pope and Benedict is the true pope”, have exerted any effort to spread the news that Our Lady has called for Consecration to her Immaculate Heart and First Saturdays of Reparation? All Bishops should be involved in promoting First Saturdays of Reparation and the daily Rosary – real Rosary! – and all of the Fatima message?

And why have they not done this? Do they not realize that until they obey Our Lady their efforts will only mislead the faithful? Do they realize what this means for their eternal souls, and the souls of so many others?

Catholics today are being chastised by God. Pope Francis and his band of reprobates are the ultimate spiritual chastisement. Now, when God chastises you, He always makes it very clear what you need to do to make things right. In all of salvation history, there has never been a time when God simply struck out at people without a cause.

For centuries now, God in His infinite mercy has given us many, many opportunities to understand His will and to repent and return to Him. It is truly shameful to see so many people who proclaim themselves “faithful Catholics”, many of them recognised as leaders of the faithful, who insist on taking secular means of remedying a spiritual problem.

When they do this, they are focusing on the problem and ignoring the cause.

That does not at all rule out the need for action. Not at all! It means that until hearts are turned, and Our Lady’s message at Fatima is fulfilled, the worldly methods will not only fail to be effective, they will exacerbate the problem.

Until Our Lady of Fatima is obeyed every worldly action taken will backfire. And obstinacy in this regard will wreak havoc on the immortal souls of those who persist in error.

We now are living through exactly the horrid situation foretold by  Father Malachi Martin which I described in Malachi Martin’s Three Possibilities. Please readers, re-read that post! I wrote it three years ago, and Fr. Martin wrote it decades ago and yet it is more relevant now than ever before.

  • Father Martin stated that the first possibility is if a sizable body of Roman Catholics, clergy and laity, become convinced, rightly or wrongly, that Pope was not elected validly.
  • The second is similar; if a sizable body of Catholics become convinced that the Pope has become a heretic.

In either of these cases, the primary source of disintegration in the Church would be that the Church, as designed by Her Master, lacks any earthly authority other than the pope to settle the issue decisively. As Fr. Martin expresses it,

“There is no official mechanism within the structure of the Church that is authorized to pass judgment on pope and papacy. Indeed, the Church’s official code of ecclesiastical law, canon law, expressly denies to anyone the right or duty of passing official judgment on pope or papacy.”

Even if there were a few Bishops and Cardinals who still had a staunch enough faith to stand up publicly and confront the Pope on these issues, the Pope and his faction would simply rally their defenses – which are legion!

Then, do you think everything would just settle down nicely and the faith would be restored? No, the result would still be a shattered Church. Because the Pope is the key.

As we see, both of these “possibilities” foretold by Fr. Martin have come to pass, to varying extents.

The papal election has been cast into doubt, first by Ivereigh’s book and then by Cardinal Danneels, head of the so-called St. Gallen Mafia himself. And there is certainly no dearth of heretical statements and actions from this unfortunate pope. And so now, we have the catastrophe of many Catholics confused and arguing against each other, widespread disunity, a Church torn asunder. But there is an even more serious threat, the third possibility, which we alluded to in our post, “The Judas Factor and Pope Francis”.

The Danneels Papacy, a Destroyer Pope

Father Martin’s third and final possibility that could shatter the Church would be “the Conclave election of a papal candidate whose policy would be to dissolve the unity and change the structure of the Roman Catholic Church by simply abandoning the exercise of the Petrine Office and privilege on which the structural unity of the Church is built as a visible body and by disassociating the approximately four thousand bishops of the Church from their collégial submission to the papacy. …”

Father Martin foresaw the pope “abandoning the exercise of the Petrine Office” – he did foresee the actuality today of a pope who actively uses his authority in order to structurally and effectively destroy the Church. This is the tragic reality we face today ad will see as a result of the October Synod in Rome unless Our Lady is obeyed.

To return to our earlier post on Fr. Martin’s Three Possibilities, Fr. Martin explains that the “Spirit of Vatican II”, contains the destruction of the Roman Catholic institutional organization. The Popes who should protect and defend the Church have committed malfeasance by collaborating in the lethal endgame of those who work to liquidate the papacy, and thus destroy the institution itself.

Fr. Martin interestingly used Cardinal Godfried Danneels to illustrate the sort of Cardinal who is so thoroughly imbued with the deadly toxins of Vatican II that he would be part of the plan to elect a Pope who would destroy the Church. Thus, 23 years before it happened, Fr. Martin foresaw a Conclave in which Cardinals like Danneels  choose a papal candidate who “will be one of their number ” and “whose papal policy will be to crown and confirm the official existence of the spirit of Vatican II.” In other words, to achieve the “irreversible change” that Maradiaga, Marx, Kasper and the rest of their ilk have been braying about for so long.

Fr. Martin foresaw that the destroyer Pope would be committed to downgrading the papacy in order to mold the Church into the modernist/progressive ideal for this “new and far different age”. And Pope Bergoglio, from his initial “Buono sera” has never missed an opportunity to downgrade, deprecate, even humiliate the Roman Catholic Church in her highest office. Amoris Laetitia triggered the odious sequelae we now see, with various priests and Bishops throughout the world hastening to their own applications of the false mercy of the Apostolic Exhortation. (See EponymousFlower here) and Father Alain Lorans here.. For a while, we shall have the spectacle of one diocese where this new “mercy” is applied liberally, blessing homosexual unions, adulterous unions and so on. As well as perhaps, a neighboring diocese, where the Bishop attempts, for a while at least, a true Catholic approach. This confusion will continue until Francis exerts the iron fist of his Petrine Primacy. He will do this in order to destroy all dissent. Once it is destroyed, there will be no need for the papacy, because the doctrine and practice of the faith will be a shattered.

“Roman Catholics will then have the spectacle of a pope validly elected (see note in following paragraph) who cuts the entire visible body of the Church loose from the traditional unity and the papacy-oriented apostolic structure that the Church has hitherto always believed and taught was divinely established. The shudder that will shake the Roman Catholic body in that day will be the shudder of its death agony. …  Many will accept the new regime. Many will resist. All will be fragmented. There will be no one on earth to hold the fractionating members of the visible Roman Catholic body together as a living compact organization.”

NOTE: Here, I note that even though it appears that this pope may not have been “validly elected”,  it makes no difference, because the vast majority of Catholics today do believe that Francis is the valid pope. And if we fight to “spread the word” that he isn’t, it only serves to accomplish even more harm, leading many more away from the faith. A much surer remedy is to “spread the word” about obeying the message of Our Lady of the Rosary. When we do that, God’s mercy will overflow and the Church will be restored to a humble and faithful people.

Just as Judas served his purpose, so does the destroyer Pope. “For it must needs be that scandals come: but nevertheless woe to that man by whom the scandal cometh.” Therefore, the little shepherdess, Blessed Jacinta, urged us all to “Pray for the Pope, Pray.”

To return to Fr. Martin’s Coda, he assures us that this Church, founded by Christ will survive and live on; the whole brute strength of Hell will not prevail against it. And the successor of this Betrayer Pope will be converted and will restore the faith and the Church. And we know that this is so, for we have been assured that in the end, Our Lady of the Rosary will triumph, by her Immaculate Heart.

How will this happen?

How will the Church survive this attack? In the same way as her Master suffered, died and was buried; the Bride of Christ will seem to have been vanquished, but that will be the moment when the tide will turn. Actually, quite literally. There will be no doubt at that time as to Who is the Head of the Church. But just as we cannot have the Resurrection without the Passion and Death of Our Lord, so we will not have the restoration of the faith until satan has played his hand. Remember Luke’s account of Christ’s appearance to His disciples at Emmaus, when He asserted, “Ought not Christ to have suffered these things and so to enter into His glory?” As then, so now, there will be great suffering.

We are in the midst of a tremendous chastisement, and it is entirely too late to postpone it, or even to mitigate it. All that remains is to prepare ourselves by the means that Our Lord has given us through the message of His Mother at Fatima. It would be enough to make us despair if we did not know that all this has been foretold. We know what to expect, and in that regard, we are  blessed in a way that the Magdalene and the Apostles were not. They witnessed their beloved Christ suffer humiliation, torture and a horrible death, without understanding why this had to be. Today, we witness the Bride of Christ suffering, but we do know why and we know the remedy if we will only heed it.

As Our Lord’s followers walked away from the tomb where they had laid Our Lord, into the desolate, gathering gloom, none could even conceive of the possibility of a glorious Resurrection. Only His Mother knew without the slightest shred of doubt that He was triumphant. But we, privileged with hindsight, realise that this disheartening chaos will have a resolution in God’s own good time. Meanwhile, there will be much suffering and immense sorrow as many souls will be scandalized. We must dedicate all our efforts to prayer and sacrifice to save souls in this horrific battle. For we shall have to answer for all those souls entrusted to us. Remember why we are here!

Fr. Martin’s Coda ends with a fictional scenario, more poignant now than when it was written. Most of us admit to nostalgia for what might have been had John Paul II been truly “Great”. Martin’s fictional version of the Polish Pope, Papa Valeska, calls a consistory and asserts his plan to restore the Faith unambiguously, and to purge the forces of anti-Church from the Church. As this fictional Consistory ends, a loyal supporter of Pope Valeska surveys the scene and recalls the desperate plea and prayer of the Greek warrior Ajax, who was forced to combat an overwhelming foe on a darkened plain:

“Father in Heaven,
Deliver us from this darkness.
And make our skies clear.
If we must die, let us die in the light.”

I wrote the following years ago but even faithful readers who assured me of their support, have totally ignored my pleas.

Dear readers, please consider this carefully: The Holy Catholic Church is established by Christ, and He is the true Head of the Church. Our Lord did not “make a mistake” when He gave the supreme power of the Church to the Pope, making him an absolute monarch.  No, it was no mistake – it was Our Lord’s divine wisdom because thereby the only way a bad pope can be remedied is by Our Lord’s intervention. And to understand Our Lord’s intervention, we return once again to Fatima, and even before Fatima, to Paray-le-monial and Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque. We know that in these latter times, Our Lord has given us devotion to His Sacred Heart and to the Immaculate Heart of His Most Blessed Mother. Now, to understand this particular aspect of Fatima’s message, that is the chastisement, we find it helpful to read back over the Old Testament Books like Jeremias. When you do begin reading Jeremias, it gets a bit challenging, going through many chapters of Jeremias warning the Jews in some pretty harsh words, to repent their sins. And on and on it goes, warning after warning and Jeremias is challenged and the people and their leaders refuse to hear him and choose to follow false prophets who preach what they prefer to hear.

Unfortunately, the self-proclaimed leaders today will only learn this after their actions have brought us to utter ruin and universal desolation.

I will try not speak of this again. Jeremias was given his task by God and I am only a foolish old woman and I am not worthy of this task. At least this frees me to spend more time doing what I urge all readers to do, Pray the Rosary, make of everything a sacrifice of reparation to console Our Lord and His most Blessed Mother and pray for you all!

Please pray the Rosary, make the First Saturdays of reparation and promote this devotion, so many souls depend on it.

A Novena for the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Today, we begin to prepare for the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin with this Novena. It is particularly helpful for those who intend to renew their Consecrations to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on her birthday, September 8. If we begin today, we will complete this Novena on the Eve of her feast, which is not commemorated this year, since it falls on a Sunday. However, Sunday is a perfect day for us to honor Our Lady’s Birthday by renewing our Consecrations to her since we will be attending Mass and receiving Our Lord in Holy Communion. So our Novena for her Nativity also serves as preparation to renew our Consecrations. I particularly love these days when her feasts are “silent” – it seems all the sweeter to be able to specially honor her at these times.

Novena for the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Day One:
“Look now on her who most resembles Christ”

Come, Holy Ghost, fill the hearts of Thy faithful, and kindle in them the fire of Thy love.
V. Send forth Thy Spirit, and they shall be created.
R. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth.
Let us pray.
O God, who hast taught the hearts of Thy faithful people by the light of the Holy Ghost; grant us in the same Spirit to relish what is right, and evermore to rejoice in His holy comfort. Through Christ our Lord. R. Amen.

Most holy Mary, Elect One, predestined from all eternity by the Most Holy Trinity to be Mother of the only-begotten Son of the Eternal Father, foretold by the Prophets, expected by the Patriarchs, desired by all nations, Sanctuary and living Temple of the Holy Ghost, Sun without stain, conceived free from original sin, Mistress of Heaven and of Earth, Queen of angels:- humbly prostrate at thy feet we give thee our homage, rejoicing that the year has brought round again the memory of thy most happy Nativity; and we pray thee with all our hearts to vouchsafe in thy goodness now to come down again and be reborn spiritually in our souls, that, led captive by thy loveliness and sweetness, they may ever live united to thy most sweet and loving heart.

Day 1 Prayer:
So now whilst we say nine angelic salutations, we will direct our thoughts to the nine months which thou didst pass enclosed in thy mother’s womb; celebrating at the same time thy descent from the royal house of David, and how thou didst come forth to the light of heaven with high honor from the womb of holy Anna, thy most happy mother.
Ave Maria Nine Times.

Closing Prayer
O most lovely Infant, who by thy holy birth hast comforted the world, made glad the heavens, struck terror into hell, brought help to the fallen, consolation to the sad, salvation to the weak, joy to all men living; we entreat thee, with the most fervent love and gratitude, to be spiritually reborn in our souls by means of thy most holy love; renew our spirits to thy service, rekindle in our hearts the fire of charity, bid all the virtues blossom there, that so we may find more and more favor in thy gracious eyes. Mary! be thou our Mary, and may we feel the saving power of thy sweetest name; may it ever be our comfort to call on that name in all our troubles; may it be our hope in dangers, our shield in temptation, and our last utterance in death.  Amen.
Let the name of Mary be honey in the mouth, melody in the ear, joy in the heart. Amen.
V. Thy Nativity, O Virgin Mother of God,
R. Hath brought joy to the whole world.
Let us pray.
Grant to us Thy servants, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the gift of heavenly grace; that to all those for whom the delivery of the Blessed Virgin was the beginning of salvation, this her votive festival may give increase of peace. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Saint Padre Pio’s Prayer to the Immaculata

For the Pan-Amazon Synod

One of my favorite saints is Padre Pio, who is so accessible and like good Saint Joseph, never fails to come to my aid. Today let’s revisit his beautiful prayer to the Immaculata in order to make reparation to Our Lady for this upcoming Synod of Darkness and beg her intercession for the Church.

Who is she that cometh forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in array?
O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!

St. Pio’s Prayer to the Immaculata

My most pure Mother, my soul so poor, all stained with wretchedness and sin cries out to your maternal heart. In your goodness, deign, I beseech you, to pour out on me at least a little of the grace that flowed into you with such infinite profusion from the Heart of God. Strengthened and supported by this grace, may I succeed in better loving and serving Almighty God Who filled your heart completely, and Who created the temple of your body from the moment of your Immaculate Conception.

Oh, my Mother, how ashamed I feel in your presence, weighed down as I am with faults! You are most pure and immaculate from the moment of your conception, indeed, from the moment in eternity when you were conceived in the mind of God.

Have pity on me! May one compassionate look of yours revive me, purify me and lift me up to God; raising me from the filth of this world so that I may go to Him Who created me, Who regenerated me in Holy Baptism, giving me back my white stole of innocence that original sin had so defiled. Dear Mother, make me love Him! Pour into my heart that love which burned in yours for Him. Even though I be clothed in misery, I revere the mystery of your Immaculate Conception, and I ardently wish that through it, you may purify my heart so that I may love your God and my God. Cleanse my mind that it may reach up to Him and contemplate Him and adore Him in spirit and in truth. Purify my body that I too may be a tabernacle for Him and be less unworthy of possessing Him when He deigns to come to me in Holy Communion. Amen.

St.  Pio, pray for us and for the Church!

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse thee!
St. Joseph, protect us, protect our families, protect our priests.
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.

Please pray the Rosary! So many souls depend on it!

Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, 2019

“I desire very ardently the propagation of the cult and devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, because this Heart is the magnet which draws souls to Me, the fire which makes the rays of My light and My love beam out over the earth, and the inexhaustible well causing the living water of My mercy to pour forth over the earth.”
(Communication of Our Lord Jesus Christ to Sister Lúcia, as reported to Bp. Gurza May 27, 1943)

The Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Today, on the octave of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we honor Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart, in obedience to the will of Christ Himself. Why does Our Lord so desire that we honor the Immaculate Heart of Mary?

The Church tells us that Mary conceived the Word of God in her pure heart before she conceived Him in her womb. Indeed, it is with this beautiful truth that we open our rosaries each day! It was in Mary’s pure and perfect heart that our salvation began. And it is through her heart, please God, we will enter heaven. By offering us the Immaculate Heart of His Virgin Mother, Our Lord is tenderly offering us the sure way to be united with Him forever in heaven. Now we should know that, as St. John of the Cross assures us, with whatever love we have attained to here on earth by the moment of our deaths, that is the love we shall have for all eternity. Think on that a moment, and then, with all your heart and soul, turn gratefully to Mary, she to whom it is given in these days, to lead us to grow in love for Jesus, her beloved Son!

When Lúcia, speaking for the little shepherds, asked Our Lady to take them to Heaven, Our Lady replied,

Rosary Novena for the Synod of Darkness

Belatedly, I offer our Rosary Novena post. I have been ill and unable to fulfill the demands of our blog and apologise. Many thanks to those kind enough to remind me! It is quite encouraging to see how many have been, on their own, contributing to an ongoing Rosary Crusade for our beleaguered Church under this latest and most determined attack by our false shepherd.

As one reader remarked, “I plan to just continue an extra Rosary a day plus adding a fast every Saturday in reparation, until this Pope converts or dies, as long as God grants me life.” My response was a heartfelt Amen.

The Rosary Novena was to have begun on August 13 and run until October 5, the eve of the Pan-Amazon Synod. And so if you have not begun, it is not too late to start, just continue on for the 54 days. The Synod will take place in Rome from October 6-28. The location is important, and situating it in Rome indicates that it is actually going to be applied to the universal Church, and not limited to the Amazon area.

To participate simply commit to one five decade Rosary each day for the intention of the triumph of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary in order to safeguard the Faith at the Synod.

On her sixth visit to Fatima,  Our Lady identified herself as Our Lady of the Rosary.  By claiming the title of Our Lady of the Rosary,  her title “Our Lady of Victory” was implied. For history is replete with her victories through her most Holy Rosary. (Here and here).

In earlier posts, for instance, “Fatima at 100, Presage of Victory”, we discussed that Christ the King prefers to triumph through the most Blessed Virgin Mary. In the vision of Saint John Bosco which begins with “It was a dark night”, the victory was foretold thus:

Designs of Mercy – Jacinta, Part III

“Jacinta’s thirst for making sacrifices seemed insatiable. She always made her sacrifices with this thought, a thought which was habitual with her: to suffer for sinners, to make acts of reparation in their place, to substitute herself for them, to obtain for them pardon and the grace of conversion.”

Today, we will see where Jacinta’s heroic devotion to Our Lady of the Rosary led her in her very brief, but intense life. Most of our discussion is found in Frère Michel de la Sainte Trinité’s “The Whole Truth About Fatima Vol. II”.  Now, Frère Michel himself relied greatly on Sister Lúcia’s Memoirs as in the following.

“When, in a spirit of mortification, she did not want to eat, I said to her: “Listen, Jacinta! Come and eat now.” ‘No! I’m offering this sacrifice for sinners who eat too much.’  When she was ill, and yet went to Mass on a week day, I urged her: Jacinta, don’t come! You’re not able. Besides, today is not a Sunday! ‘That doesn’t matter. I’m going for sinners who don’t go on a Sunday.’ If she happened to hear any of those expressions which some people make a show of uttering, she covered her face with her hands and said: ‘Oh, my God, don’t those people realize that they can go to hell for saying those things? My Jesus, forgive them and convert them. They certainly don’t know that they are offending God by all this! What a pity, my Jesus! I’ll pray for them.’ Then and there, she repeated the prayer that Our Lady had taught us: ‘O my Jesus, forgive us, deliver us from the fire of hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who are most in need.’ Jacinta made such sacrifices over and over again, but I won’t stop to tell any more, or I shall never end,  Lúcia tells us.”

Also, in her memoirs, Sister Lúcia remarked that little Jacinta, although the youngest, she “was the one who received from Our Lady a greater abundance of grace , and a better knowledge of God and of virtue.” Indeed, it was she who appeared to enjoy the greatest intimacy with the Most Holy Virgin. When the cycle of the six great public apparitions was completed, Jacinta continued almost uninterruptedly to enjoy supernatural favours, right up until her death.

Jacinta’s Prophetic Visions

In her Memoirs, Lúcia tells us: “One day we spent our siesta down by my parents’ well. Jacinta sat on the stone slab on top of the well. Francisco and I climbed up a steep bank in search of wild honey among the brambles in a nearby thicket. After a little while, Jacinta called out to me: “Didn’t you see the Holy Father?” “No.” “I don’t know how it was, but I saw the Holy Father in a very big house, kneeling by a table, with his head buried in his hands, and he was weeping. Outside the house, there were many people. Some of them were throwing stones, others were cursing him and using bad language. Poor Holy Father, we must pray much for him .” Frère Michel places this vision in the time period between July 13, 1917 and October, 1918, when the children fell ill.

We also know that this vision concerns an event announced in the Secret, for Lúcia continues her account, and writes: “I have already told you how, one day, two priests recommended that we pray for the Holy Father, and explained to us who the Pope was. Afterwards, Jacinta asked me: ‘Is he the one I saw weeping, the one Our Lady told us about in the Secret?’ ‘Yes, he is,’ I answered. (And Jacinta, with childlike candour, went on:) ‘The Lady must surely have shown him also to those priests. You see, I wasn’t mistaken. We need to pray a lot for him.’

This vision helps us to better understand the corresponding words of the Secret, announcing “persecutions against the Church and the Holy Father (who) will have much to suffer.”

At another time, Lúcia says, “We went to the cave called Lapa do Cabeço. As soon as we got there, we prostrated on the ground, saying the prayers the Angel had taught us. After some time, Jacinta stood up and called to me: ‘Can’t you see all those highways and roads full of people, who are crying with hunger and have nothing to eat? And the Holy Father in a church praying before the Immaculate Heart of Mary? And so many people praying with him?”

This second vision corresponds to an event prophesied in the Secret: “Some days later, Jacinta asked me: ‘Can I say that I saw the Holy Father and all those people?’ “No. Don’t you see that that’s part of the Secret? If you do, they’ll find out right away!” ‘All right! Then I’ll say nothing at all.’ ”

The striking images contemplated in her recent visions kept the Secret on Jacinta’s mind; the themes of the Secret made a more profound impression on her than on her two companions. Sister Lúcia is insistent on this point, showing clearly how the Blessed Virgin wished to make this soul – so young and so delicate, but so sensitive and courageous – the confidante of the most intimate thoughts of Her Heart. The great and dramatic Message of Our Lady was destined for the whole world; and Our Lady willed that this innocent soul, Jacinta, be penetrated with it and live it with such love that she became, as Sister Lúcia dares to say, “filled with horror”,  and was led very quickly, within a few months, to the total gift and sacrifice of her life.

Sister Lúcia continues: “As I said in the notes I sent about the book called Jacinta, she was most deeply impressed (…) with the vision of hell and the ruin of the many souls who go there, or again, the future war with all its horrors, which seemed to be always present in her mind. These made her tremble with fear. When I saw her deep in thought, and asked her: “Jacinta, what are you thinking about?” she frequently replied: “About the war which is coming, and all the people who are going to die and go to hell! How dreadful! If they would only stop offending God, then there wouldn’t be any war, and they wouldn’t go to hell!”

When Our Lady revealed the future to Jacinta, and let her see the Holy Father persecuted, mocked, abandoned by all, and in tears, Jacinta understood how much he needed prayers. “This gave Jacinta such love for the Holy Father that, every time she offered her sacrifices to Jesus, she added: ‘And for the Holy Father’. At the end of the Rosary, she always said three Hail Marys for the Holy Father.”  It is indeed surprising to observe how much, after the apparition of July 13, (1919) the thought of the Holy Father kept constantly coming back to the minds of the three seers. This was one of their major preoccupations, along with solicitude for sinners, and the sight of the terrifying war to come. Why? Undoubtedly because the Pope plays a role of decisive importance in the great prophecy of the Secret: he is already named five times in the published part of the Secret; we may believe that he is mentioned again in the part which has not yet been published. (Frère Michel, Vol II)

Another Visit of the Blessed Virgin

Towards the end of December, 1918 or in January, 1919, we read,

“Our Lady came to see us”, Jacinta said. “She told us She would come to take Francisco to Heaven very soon, and She asked me if I still wanted to convert more sinners. I said I did. She told me I would be going to a hospital where I would suffer a great deal; and that I am to suffer for the conversion of sinners, in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and for love of Jesus. I asked if you would go with me. She said you wouldn’t, and that is what I find hardest. She said my mother would take me, and then I would have to stay there all alone!” On another day, Jacinta was more precise; she confided to her cousin: “Our Lady wants me to go to two hospitals, not to be cured, but to suffer more for love of Our Lord and for sinners.”

Jacinta had known for a long time that the more she suffered, the more souls she would snatch away from the eternal flames. This was a certain and absolute truth with her. Taught by the infused grace which accompanied the words of the Angel, she had understood the value of sacrifice, how pleasing it is to God, and how, in return for it  God converts sinners.

And with all her ardour, she gave a generous “yes” to the hardest sacrifice that could have asked of her, a sacrifice which she undoubtedly had never imagined: to suffer and die alone far from her mother, far from her father, and above all far from Lúcia, her only confidante and intimate friend, whose presence gave her such comfort such great joy, the only consolation that remained for her. After this, she was thoughtful for a while and then added: “If only you could be with me! The hardest part is to go without you. Maybe the hospital is a big, dark house where you can’t see, and I’ll be there suffering all alone! But never mind! I’ll suffer for love of Our Lord, to make reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, for the conversion of sinners and for the Holy Father.”

Frère Michel notes,

“It is always the same intentions, the same great themes of the Secret, which habituate and incite her to heroic sacrifice. The same transports of love always come back to her lips: often she would repeat, “Sweet Heart of Mary, be my salvation! I love the Immaculate Heart of Mary so much!” Sometimes, as she would kiss a crucifix, she would press it in her hands, saying: “O my Jesus, I love You, and I wish to suffer much for Your love!” How often did she say: “O Jesus! Now You can convert many sinners, because this is really a big sacrifice!”

At Aljustrel, from October, 1918 until June 30, 1919, Jacinta’s illness slowly worsened. After the bronchial pneumonia, pleurisy caused her great suffering. She bore it, however, with a resignation and even a joy which were surprising. Jacinta made it her business never to complain. This was both out of a delicate consideration for her mother, to keep her from getting worried, and to offer this additional sacrifice, so costly when one is suffering a great deal. From Lúcia alone she felt drawn to hide nothing, to tell her about all the graces she had received, and to admit her true sufferings: “My chest hurts so much, but I’m not saying anything to my mother. I want to suffer for Our Lord, in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary, for the Holy Father and for the conversion of sinners.”

Sister Lúcia: “A few days after falling ill, she gave me the rope she had been wearing, and said: ‘Keep it for me; I’m afraid my mother may see it. If I get better, I want it back again!’ This cord had three knots and was somewhat stained with blood. I kept it hidden until I finally left my mother’s home. Then, not knowing what to do with it, I burned it, and Francisco’s as well.”

During June, 1919 Jacinta, increasingly challenged by more opportunities to offer sacrifices of reparation, increased in her fervent devotion, Father Ferreira stubbornly refused to allow Jacinta to receive the Blessed Sacrament, even though she was by then eight years old. But we may believe that the priest’s efforts were no obstacle to Our Lord’s love for His brave saint, as Frère Michel assures us that Our Lord “gave Himself to her spiritually, and gave her the grace to feel His Divine Presence: ‘I don’t know how it is! But I feel Our Lord within me. I understand what He says to me, although I neither see Him nor hear Him but it is so good to be with Him.’ ”

Another time she said: ‘I so like to tell Jesus that I love Him! Many times, when I say it to Him, I seem to have a fire in my heart, but it doesn’t burn me.’ Again, moved by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the same ardent affections of love continually returned to her lips: ‘I love Our Lord and Our Lady so much, that I never get tired of telling Them that I love Them.’

Jacinta’s health gave way under the aggressive illnesses which beset her and towards the end of June, her doctor began to insist that her parents allow her to be admitted to Saint Augustine’s Hospital at Vila Nova de Ourem. The prophecy of Our Lady was about to be fulfilled… and so Jacinta departed, “knowing that she was going not to be cured, but to suffer”.

To be continued, God willing.

Designs of Mercy – Jacinta, 2019

“Pray, pray much and make sacrifices for sinners, for many souls go to hell because they have no one to pray and make sacrifices for them!”

Although Francisco, who was a contemplative soul, recognised that  his essential task was the reparative work of consoling Our Lord in the most Blessed Sacrament, Jacinta knew that she must above all else, sacrifice to save souls from the eternal damnation she had seen so graphically depicted. In her memoirs, Lúcia tells us,

“Some of the things revealed in the Secret made a very strong impression on Jacinta. … How is it that Jacinta, small as she was, let herself be possessed by such a spirit of penance and mortification, and understood it so well? I think the reason is this: firstly, God willed to bestow on her a special grace, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary; and secondly, it was because she had looked upon hell, and had seen the ruin of souls who fall therein. … Jacinta  took this matter of making sacrifices for the conversion of sinners so much to heart, that she never let a single opportunity escape her.”

“Poor Holy Father! We must pray much for him!”

“We were playing one day at the well I have already mentioned. Close to it, there was a grape vine belonging to Jacinta’s mother. She cut a few clusters and brought them to us to eat. But Jacinta never forgot her sinners. ‘We won’t eat them,’ she said, ‘we’ll offer this sacrifice for sinners.’  Then she ran out with the grapes and gave them to the other children playing on the road. She returned radiant with joy, for she had found our poor children, and given them grapes. … Another time, my aunt called us to come and eat some figs which she had brought home, and indeed they would have given anybody an appetite. Jacinta sat down happily next to the basket, with the rest of us, and picked up the first fig. She was just about to eat it, when she suddenly remembered, and said:  ‘It’s true! Today we haven’t yet made a single sacrifice for sinners! We’ll have to make this one.’  She put the fig back in the basket, and made the offering; and we, too, left our figs in the basket for the conversion of sinners.

“I’m not going to dance any more!”

“Jacinta dearly loved dancing, and had a special aptitude for it. I remember how she was crying one day about one of her brothers who had gone to the war and was reported killed in action. To distract her, I arranged a little dance with two of her brothers. There was the poor child dancing away as she dried the tears that ran down her cheeks.  Her fondness for dancing was such that the sound of some shepherd playing his instrument was enough to set her dancing all by herself.  In spite of this, when St. John’s Day festivities or carnival time came around (in 1918), she announced: ‘I’m not going to dance any more.’ ‘And why not?’ ‘Because I want to offer this sacrifice to Our Lord.’ Since we were the ones who organized the games for the children, the dances which used to take place on these occasions stopped.”

“Occasionally, also, we were in the habit of offering to God the sacrifice of spending nine days or a month without taking a drink. Once, we made this sacrifice even in the month of August, when the heat was suffocating. On these occasions, Jacinta would say: ‘Our Lord must be pleased with our sacrifices, because I am so thirsty, so thirsty! Yet, I do not want to take a drink. I want to suffer for love of Him.”  Jacinta’s thirst for making sacrifices seemed insatiable.

Even at this early age, Jacinta very quickly assumed an habitual disposition of sacrifice for sinners and with each sacrifice, she repeated the prayer taught by Our Lady, thus conferring on the sacrifice offered its whole meritorious value as an act of love, both reparatory and missionary: Lúcia says of this, “Ever since the day Our Lady taught us to offer our sacrifices to Jesus, any time we had something to suffer or agreed to make a sacrifice, Jacinta asked: ‘Did you already tell Jesus it’s for love of Him?’  If I said I hadn’t, she answered: ‘Then I’ll tell Him’, and joining her hands, she raised her eyes to Heaven and said: ‘Oh Jesus, it is for love of You, and for the conversion of sinners.’

Lúcia says of Jacinta that she, ” … was the one who received from Our Lady a greater abundance of grace, and a better knowledge of God and of virtue.” Although she was indeed the youngest of the three seers, it was she who appeared to enjoy the greatest intimacy with the Most Holy Virgin. When the cycle of the six great public apparitions was completed, Jacinta continued in this deep intimacy with Our Lady until she died.

The parish priest, Father Ferreira, reported on the immediate events of Fatima in a memoir which he completed on August 6, 1918. In it he recounted that Our Lady had appeared to Jacinta three times after October 13. A most notable one occurred on Ascension Thursday, 1918 during Mass, when, as Jacinta told Father Ferreira, Our Lady taught her to say the Rosary. Since Jacinta was accustomed by that time, to frequently recite the Rosary with Lúcia and Francisco, we may suppose that Our Lady gave Jacinta special lights to understand the mysteries. Today, many of us continue to be blessed by Saint Jacinta when we seek her help to pray our Rosary!

In addition to these visits from Our Lady, Jacinta was given several prophetic visions. which constituted portions of the great secret. In her Memoirs,Lúcia remembers,

“One day we spent our siesta down by my parents’ well. Jacinta sat on the stone slab on top of the well. Francisco and I climbed up a steep bank in search of wild honey among the brambles in a nearby thicket. After a little while, Jacinta called out to me: ‘Didn’t you see the Holy Father’  ‘No.’

“Jacinta responded, ‘I don’t know how it was, but I saw the Holy Father in a very big house, kneeling by a table, with his head buried in his hands, and he was weeping. Outside the house, there were many people. Some of them were throwing stones, others were cursing him and using bad language. Poor Holy Father, we must pray much for him.’

Frère Michel places this vision of Jacinta’s  after July 13, 1917, since it presupposes that the Secret was already revealed, and before October 1918, when the Marto children became ill with the influenza. Lúcia explains further,  “… one day, two priests recommended that we pray for the Holy Father, and explained to us who the Pope was.

Frère Michel  adds, “This vision must be kept in mind, for it helps us to better understand the corresponding words of the Secret, announcing “persecutions against the Church and the Holy Father”, who “will have much to suffer”.

In another vision given to Saint Jacinta, the shepherds had gone to pray at the cave they called Lapa do Cabeco, where Lúcia reported they prostrated themselves, reciting  the prayers taught by the Angel. Before long, Jacinta arose and said,

“Can’t you see all those highways and roads full of people, who are crying with hunger and have nothing to eat? And the Holy Father in a church praying before the Immaculate Heart of Mary? And so many people praying with him?”

This vision is a sign of the Second and Third portions of the Secret, and that War is not over yet, nor will it be, until we see the Holy Father kneel before Our Lady, repent and be converted, becoming her obedient servant once again. Today, the flock have nothing to eat and this will worsen as the famine increases under the soul-withering Church of False Mercy. For how can they believe, if the truth is not preached to them? And what Father gives his child a stone when he asks for bread?

Frère Michel  believes that the Pope of this vision, kneeling in prayer before the Immaculate Heart of Mary, will be the one who at last consecrates Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, freeing that country of the diabolical hindrance to her future destiny of greatness. And he explains that  “Sister Lúcia clarifies the point, for this second vision corresponds to an event prophesied in the Secret:

“Some days later, Jacinta asked me: ‘Can I say that I saw the Holy Father and all those people?’ ‘No. Don’t you see that that’s part of the Secret? If you do, they’ll find out right away!’ ‘All right! Then I’ll say nothing at all.’ “

The Second portion, about the continuing world war is the material chastisement while the Third portion is the spiritual chastisement. Both of these will continue until such time as sufficient reparation has been made.

Now, to return to the favors the Blessed Virgin deigned to show little Jacinta. From Sister Lúcia’s Memoirs and from Frère Michel we learn that the Immaculata blessed Jacinta with such a fullness of grace, such an intimate sharing in her message that Jacinta was soon led to the total oblation of her life with the utmost courage and generosity of soul. Indeed, Lúcia relates that Jacinta was so impressed with the severity of the punishment of hell and the eternal ruin of the souls which go there, and the utter devastation of the war, that these thoughts made her tremble with fear and dread. When Lúcia would find her staring pensively, and prodded her for her thoughts, Jacinta remarked that she was thinking of, “… the war which is coming, and all the people who are going to die and go to hell! How dreadful! If they would only stop offending God, then there wouldn’t be any war and they wouldn’t go to hell.”

“Poor Holy Father! We must pray very much for him!”

It was to Jacinta most of all in 1918, that Our Lady revealed  the Holy Father persecuted, mocked, abandoned by all, and in tears, This helped Jacinta to understand how much the Pope needed prayers. Lúcia tells us,  “This gave Jacinta such love for the Holy Father that, every time she offered her sacrifices to Jesus, she added: “And for the Holy Father … At the end of the Rosary, she always said three Hail Marys for the Holy Father.”

Frère Michel de la Sainte Trinité is impressed by this emphasis,

“It is indeed surprising to observe how much, after the apparition of July 13, the thought of the Holy Father kept constantly coming back to the minds of the three seers. Let us add that several supernatural communications Sister Lúcia was later favored with, concerning the role of the Holy Father in the great prophecy of the Secret, surely supply us with the context which sheds much light on the visions of Jacinta. “

As we read these accounts of our Blessed Mother’s work in the souls of the little shepherd children, we see the path on which she leads them sorrowfully;  the way of reparation and compassion,  per crucem ad lucem; per  mortem ad vitam. It is for this that the Angel came, to begin their preparation for this great work, solidly based in Eucharistic adoration and reparation.

“Above all, accept and bear with submission the sufferings which the Lord will send you.” (The Angel of Fatima, St. Michael)

“Are you willing to offer yourselves to God, and bear all the sufferings He will send you, in reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and in supplication for the conversion of sinners?”

“Yes, we are,” Lúcia had answered in the name of all three.

“Then you will have much to suffer, but the grace of God will be your comfort.” (Our Lady of the Rosary at Fatima, May 13, 1917)

And so, in January, 1919, Our Lady came once more to the children:

“Our Lady came to see us”, Jacinta said. “She told us She would come to take Francisco to Heaven very soon, and She asked me if I still wanted to convert more sinners. I said I did. She told me I would be going to a hospital where I would suffer a great deal; and that I am to suffer for the conversion of sinners, in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and for love of Jesus. I asked if you (Lúcia) would go with me. She said you wouldn’t, and that is what I find hardest. She said my mother would take me, and then I would have to stay there all alone!”

Now, it appears to me, at least, that the “Holy Father referred to here is not the person who currently occupies the See, who seems to be the last of the betrayer popes. But quite possibly his successor. How shall that be, since the College of Cardinals is so thoroughly infested with the pernicious sect? Well, they must be taken out of the way. Take note also of Jacinta’s mention of, “… all those highways and roads full of people, who are crying with hunger and have nothing to eat?” Thus far, little note has been made for the coming famines. A pity. We’ve ignored God’s great message to us at Fatima for so long that folks just think things can go on like this ad infinitum. But can they?
