Preparation for Consecration to Saint Joseph, 2019

Today, more than ever in the history of the Church, the sacred priesthood is under attack, as is the family and although little noted, the final battle we all must face, the battle for our immortal souls we face at the hour of death – in all these battles, we have been given according to the message of Fatima, a true protector and champion in good St. Joseph.

“Saint Joseph will come with the Child Jesus, to give peace to the world.”

This was the promise of Our Lady of the Rosary on August 19, 1917 in her fourth visit to the little saints of Fatima at Valinhos.  In this visit, we see Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Blessed Mother welcoming us into the safety and security of their own Holy Family. Let’s make use of this blessing!

It is very rare for me to have two posts in one day, but want to offer you this opportunity today to prepare for his feast day March 19.

The following 18 day program is to prepare for consecration, and I hope that even if you are unable to do all the exercises, perhaps you could do a small amount daily for the 18 days.  The main object is to give you the resources for a greater devotion to this immensely important saint. Our Lord Jesus Christ offers us, in these difficult times, a secure place in His own Holy Family; let’s not spurn His loving invitation.

March is the month of St. Joseph as well as the month of our Lent, and we offer again in his honor this program for Consecration to St. Joseph and the Holy Family. It is an 18 day program and so if we start today, we will complete it on Passion Sunday, which is the eve of St. Joseph’s Feast day, March 19th.   Many have told me that they are expecting this Lent to be a tough one for them, with all the upheaval of the current papacy. Let us then turn to St. Joseph as our guide!

Dear readers, I hope you will consider that taking a bit of time to seek the strength and protection of St. Joseph. It is far from a burden; Our Lady told Sister Lucia that St. Joseph will give us peace. Let’s seek his peace amid the trials and confusion in the Passion of the Church.

In times of trial, go to St. Joseph!

St. Joseph, defender of the faith, defender of families, pray for us!

Dear readers, we know that the Sacred Hearts of our Lord Jesus Christ and His Immaculate Mother are inseparable. And we know that this self-same Mother is also the most pure and perfect Spouse of the Holy Ghost, and the most beloved and treasured child of the Eternal Father. We know as well that this loving Father entrusted these two most beloved beings, Jesus and Mary, to St. Joseph to guard and protect them from the hostile powers of the Lord of the World and those who serve him. And now, in these dark and calamitous times when our families and our very faith are under attack from those who should protect and nurture it, we turn again to St. Joseph, to the Holy Family, inseparably united to the Most Holy Trinity, to keep us safe in the faith of all times.

Readers, do not be surprised if soon the few small certainties and comforts of the faith are taken from us, for as Cardinal Manning said,

These are times of sifting. Our Divine Lord is standing in the Church: “His fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly cleanse His (own) and He will gather the grain into His barn, and will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” It is a time of trial, when ‘some of the learned shall fall’, and those only shall be saved who are steadfast to the end. … Saint Alphonsus says: ‘Hence St. Bonaventure says that in the Mass God manifests to us all the love that He has borne us, and includes in it, as in a compendium, all His benefits. On this account the Devil has always endeavored to abolish the Mass throughout the world by means of heretics, making them the precursors of Antichrist who, before all things, will endeavor to abolish, and in fact will, in punishment for the sins of men, succeed in abolishing the Holy Sacrifice of the Altar, according to the prediction of Daniel: ‘And strength was given him against the continual sacrifice because of sins.’

We must understand, and help others to understand, the importance of using the precious little time we have left to bond ourselves as securely as possible to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. To this end, I have posted often on Total Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

And now, I hope that you will avail yourselves of an additional help to accomplish this, which is Consecration to St. Joseph, the faithful Guardian of Jesus and Mary, appointed by our loving Father Himself. At Fatima in 1917, Our Lady promised the little shepherds that in October, St. Joseph and the Child Jesus would come to “bless us with peace”. We need this peace! And while we struggle to live our Consecrations to Jesus through Mary, St. Joseph goes before us to lead us safely to our goal, so that we may be truly one holy family, now and always, in the glory of God, the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

Lavender Loyalty, Part II

The Betrayal

From Ezekiel, Ch. 34

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying: Son of man, prophesy concerning the shepherds of Israel: prophesy, and say to the shepherds: Thus saith the Lord God: Woe to the shepherds of Israel, that fed themselves: should not the flocks be fed by the shepherds?
You ate the milk, and you clothed yourselves with the wool, and you killed that which was fat: but my flock you did not feed.
The weak you have not strengthened, and that which was sick you have not healed, that which was broken you have not bound up, and that which was driven away you have not brought again, neither have you sought that which was lost: but you ruled over them with rigour, and with a high hand.

And my sheep were scattered, because there was no shepherd: and they became the prey of all the beasts of the field, and were scattered.
My sheep have wandered in every mountain, and in every high hill: and my flocks were scattered upon the face of the earth, and there was none that sought them, there was none, I say, that sought them.
Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of the Lord:

As I live, saith the Lord God, forasmuch as my flocks have been made a spoil, and my sheep are become a prey to all the beasts of the field, because there was no shepherd: for my shepherds did not seek after my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flocks:

Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of the Lord:
Thus saith the Lord God: Behold I myself come upon the shepherds, I will require my flock at their hand, and I will cause them to cease from feeding the flock any more, neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more: and I will deliver my flock from their mouth, and it shall no more be meat for them.

For thus saith the Lord God: Behold I myself will seek my sheep, and will visit them.
As the shepherd visiteth his flock in the day when he shall be in the midst of his sheep that were scattered, so will I visit my sheep, and will deliver them out of all the places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.
And I will bring them out from the peoples, and will gather them out of the countries, and will bring them to their own land: and I will feed them in the mountains of Israel, by the rivers, and in all the habitations of the land.
I will feed them in the most fruitful pastures, and their pastures shall be in the high mountains of Israel: there shall they rest on the green grass, and be fed in fat pastures upon the mountains of Israel.
I will feed my sheep: and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord God.

I will seek that which was lost: and that which was driven away, I will bring again: and I will bind up that which was broken, and I will strengthen that which was weak, and that which was fat and strong I will preserve: and I will feed them in judgment.

And as for you, O my flocks, thus saith the Lord God: Behold I judge between cattle and cattle, of rams and of he goats.
Was it not enough for you to feed upon good pastures? but you must also tread down with your feet the residue of your pastures: and when you drank the clearest water, you troubled the rest with your feet.
And my sheep were fed with that which you had trodden with your feet: and they drank what your feet had troubled.
Therefore thus saith the Lord God to you: Behold, I myself will judge between the fat cattle and the lean.
Because you thrusted with sides and shoulders, and struck all the weak cattle with your horns, till they were scattered abroad:

I will save my flock, and it shall be no more a spoil, and I will judge between cattle and cattle.
And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David: he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.
And I the Lord will be their God: and my servant David the prince in the midst of them: I the Lord have spoken it.
And I will make a covenant of peace with them, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they that dwell in the wilderness shall sleep secure in the forests.

And I will make them a blessing round about my hill: and I will send down the rain in its season, there shall be showers of blessing.
And the tree of the field shall yield its fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be in their land without fear: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall have broken the bonds of their yoke, and shall have delivered them out of the hand of those that rule over them.
And they shall be no more for a spoil to the nations, neither shall the beasts of the earth devour them: but they shall dwell securely without any terror.

And I will raise up for them a bud of renown: and they shall be no more consumed with famine in the land, neither shall they bear any more the reproach of the Gentiles.
And they shall know that I the Lord their God am with them, and that they are my people the house of Israel: saith the Lord God.
And you my flocks, the flocks of my pasture are men: and I am the Lord your God, saith the Lord God.

† . † . †

At present, the sheep are betrayed and who will come to the aid of these victims?  Who attends to the victims of these hateful men who betray Christ, betray His flock?  When we at last see some sign of charity for those injured souls, who trusted their false shepherds, then and only then will we begin the journey home. That my friends, will take much spiritual combat for us. Let others do as they will, seeking to clean up the mess by worldly means;  for us there is only the battle to regain the faith through obedience to the True Shepherd, Who even now is calling us to the hard work of loving reparation.

St. Michael, the Angel of Peace, in his message at Fatima commanded:

“Make of everything you can a sacrifice, and offer it to God as an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and in supplication for the conversion of sinners. You will thus draw down peace upon your country.”

Our Lady of the Rosary, at Fatima urged her children:

Continue to say the Rosary every day. …. People must amend their lives and ask pardon for their sins … They must not offend Our Lord any more for He is already too much offended.”

When her message was ignored and then outright disobeyed by the very leaders of the Church, she appeared a last time in Akita:

“The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by my Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and the priests.”

“The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against other bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres (other priests). Churches and altars will be sacked. The Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.”

“The demon will be especially implacable against the souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will be no longer pardon for them.”

“. . . Pray very much the prayers of the Rosary. I alone am able still to save you from the calamities which approach. Those who place their confidence in me will be saved.“

We will all receive what is due to us of God’s mercy and justice; let us be very sure of our obedience!

Continue to pray the Rosary every day!

Prayer of Reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Today is First Friday for the Sacred Heart of Jesus and it is also the vigil of the fine old feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Whether you are completing your Novena for Our Lady of Good Success or the little Novena of the Purification, I trust you are well prepared and ready for tomorrow’s renewal of Consecration.

From time to time, a reader will let me know of their progress and it is always so good to hear, especially when you have grown in your devotion to reparation to Our Lady for the horrendous insults to her that seem to flood from the Vatican of Pope Francis. We could do as so many others and spend our time reading all of the endless discussions about what could – or should – be done about this shameful situation; but we know that making reparation to Our Mother’s Immaculate Heart is a far better plan! Here’s a little prayer that seems apt right now, I hope you like it.

Prayer of Reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

O Immaculate Heart of Mary, living tabernacle of the Divinity, most Sorrowful Mother, I offer you my love and fidelity and my firm desire to make reparation for the blasphemies and offenses which are unceasingly offered to you and which so offend your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

The more your Immaculate Conception is blasphemed, the more firmly I will proclaim it, most pure Mother of God.
The more that enemies within the Church despise and ignore your loving mercy, the more I will love You, most Blessed Mother.
The more your perpetual virginity is attacked, the more I will honor you, ever-virgin Mother of our Savior.
The more your Rosary is denigrated and blasphemed, the more I will recite it with love and reverence, most generous Heart of Mary.
The more your message of Fatima is ignored and lied about, the more I will take care to observe it and spread its truth, dear Lady of the Rosary.
The more that you are blasphemed and scorned by the enemies within the Church, the more ardently I will make reparation, O Mother of Mercy.
The more the imitation of your purity and humility is scorned and forgotten, the more I will endeavor to imitate you, most Sorrowful Mother.
The more the devil strives to destroy devotion to you and your message, the more I will be inflamed to devotion to the prayers and  penances you request, O Mother of Divine Grace.
The more that sin and impurity deface and destroy your divine Son’s image in man, the more I shall try by purity of life to be a living temple of the Holy Spirit, most pure and holy Mother of God.
The more your Holy Church is scorned and compromised, the more I will endeavor to be her faithful child, O Holy Mother of the Church.
The more that hubris, heresy and apostasy threaten our Holy Church, the more I will turn to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and to your Immaculate Heart to save us, most beloved Mother.
The more the Sacred Heart of Jesus is blasphemed through false devotions, the more I will increase my fervent devotions to Him, most faithful Mother of our Savior.
The more the Church is persecuted, the more I will pray and sacrifice for for her triumph and exaltation, Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Let us pray: most Immaculate Heart of Mary, always obedient to the Eternal Father, teach us to be ever obedient and humble in the face of the diabolical disorientation that has sown such chaos in the Church and disheartened so many. Suffer us not to be scandalized by this long, dark night of the soul of our Church, but to persevere in loving obedience trusting always in your Immaculate Heart and in the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Amen.

The above prayer is one that I composed for my own use from other prayers of reparation, and I offer it for those who might find it useful; you are welcome to modify it as may seem helpful to your devotions. Of course, it is good to check with your priest!

But the best possible reparation for Our Lady is the First Saturdays of Reparation which she asked for so many years ago. Tomorrow is a great time to start!

The Holy Family 2019

Today, the first Sunday after Epiphany, the Church celebrates the Feast of the Holy Family, which is the last time in the liturgical year in which we honor the hidden life of Jesus.

Thus, it is fitting that in the Gospel today, we read of the event which comprises the Fifth Joyful Mystery, the Finding of the Child Jesus in the Temple. In this, we commemorate the first words of Jesus recorded in the Gospel, “How is it that you sought Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”

St. Luke then tells us that Jesus returned to Nazareth with Mary and Joseph “and was subject to them.” In this brief account, we have several important lessons: First, Jesus establishes His mission in His first recorded words,  “I must be about My Father’s business.” And second, Jesus was subject to Mary and Joseph. The Son of God first asserts the primacy of God, by stating that His mission is to serve the Father in all things, then Jesus affirms the importance of family, “He was subject to them.” On the firm bedrock of total obedience to God in all things, we can most perfectly live out our love of God within our families, whether they be our personal families or our religious communities. If love of God comes first, what follows cannot fail to serve Him.

 My Father's business
My Father’s business

As we open our minds and our hearts, lifting them to God in this, the Fifth Joyful Mystery, we consider Saint Joseph leading his Holy Family back home from the Temple. The blessed peace that surrounds them draws us in too, and we are nourished with the truths of this holy mystery. By His actions, Our Lord teaches us humility and obedience in His submission to His Father’s will and through that, because of that, His submission to Mary and Joseph. By our consecrations we submit to them too, and so we learn humility and obedience. We also learn poverty; now, in the first beatitude,  Our Lord makes us a promise for this virtue:  “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.” In later posts, we hope to show the application of this excellent virtue for these particular times of trial.

The Fatima Connection

On the fifth visit, September 13, 1917, Our Lady told the children, “In October … Saint Joseph will appear with the Child Jesus to give peace to  the world.” And in Sister Lucia’s accounts of the Sixth Visit, she related that this is precisely what occurred. You may ask, “Where then is this peace”? The answer, if you will hear it yet again, is, “Your peace is dependent upon your obedience!” As an infant receives the graces of baptism, we, the faithful have been given unimaginable graces in great profusion, awaiting only our cooperation. If we but seek them, turning to Jesus and Mary (and Joseph too!) and seeking them in humility and obedience, we shall see miracles as never before seen in this tired old world, making all things new, restoring the faith.

Unfortunately

Unfortunately, from the email I receive, it seems that more than a few readers continue to be distracted by other concerns, wandering off on tangential issues and increasingly disheartened. Let’s refocus.

Once, someone said that I “have an unfortunate way with words”  I am painfully aware of that verdict now as I struggle to write this post;  the same post I have been writing since beginning over six years ago. Despite this, like Eliot’s Sweeney, “I’ve gotta use words when I talk to you.”

And so, unfortunately, we will  try this again.  I have no illusions about this. Far better writers have not succeeded. So, on this  hopeful note, we begin.

The Message of Fatima is first of all about devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary is the basis. No other attempt to aid the Church will be successful without this basis.  Now,  from the very beginning, the Lord God said:

“I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel.” (Genesis 3, 15)

Keeping this in mind, we can better understand the essential urgency of Our Lady’s words at Fatima:

If today you hear His voice . . .

“If today you hear His voice, harden not your hearts.” (Psalm 94, v8), (Heb. 3,15)

Wherein we reiterate that the requests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary still remain to be fulfilled. Indeed, they are more pressing now than ever.

The devotions to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, to Christ the King, and to the Immaculate Heart of Mary are inseparable, They are in no way disparate, nor are they contradictory. And these are inseparable as well from the Mass and most especially, the Holy Eucharist.  Furthermore, the requests, demands really, of the most Sacred Heart of Jesus, as relayed by St. Margaret Mary Alacoque in 1689, still stand today, more than three centuries after they were made known. Once God has uttered a request, it does not cease to be simply because centuries pass while Catholics turn an indifferent ear to them.

What I had hoped to accomplish in earlier posts was to demonstrate the reason why Christ Our Lord made His request of the King of France. It was because of the importance of the French Monarchy, as a worldly force established by the will of God for the glory and protection of Christ’s Church. I refer readers to the writings of Solange Hertz as previously cited.

St. Pius X tells us in Vehementer, “The Creator of mankind is also the Founder of human societies, and He preserves them just as He maintains individuals in existence.”  God sent Joan of Arc to make this clear. Her mission was precisely to establish the fact that France was a nation constituted by God under a king who was Jesus Christ’s designated lieutenant. Thus, we see that God first sent St. Joan to aid France, then sent St. Margaret Mary with a message from His Sacred Heart. The engineer of destruction for the latter message was the deceitful Jesuit superior who refused to comply. I will not expand on this now, but it is documented by Hertz in Utopia Nowhere.

At the risk of oversimplifying, I will just state that if Pope Pius XI had only obeyed the commands of the Immaculate Mother of God at Fatima, instead of separating that requested devotion from devotion to the Sacred Heart and Christ the King, he would have been able to fulfill both the demands of the Immaculate Heart and the demands of her Son. Instead of the ever-expanding reign of the evils of satanic marxism, we could have had the glorious reign of Christ the King, through the Immaculata, as Our Lord Himself had so desired.

And what are we to think of France?  The Kingdom of France, established by King Clovis was consecrated by him to  Christ’s Kingship forever by constitutional law. The document’s preamble begins with, “The illustrious Nation of the Franks, having God for Founder,” and closes by praying that, “the Lord Jesus Christ direct those who govern in the way of piety.”  When France’s king failed to submit to the request of its true ruler, Christ the King, it fell to apostasy. Of this, Pope St. Pius X prophesied: “she who had made an alliance with God,” would one day repent and “bear My Name before all peoples and all the kings of the earth.” God’s gifts being without repentance, we may believe that the return to natural law will begin with the conversion of regicide France. (Solange Hertz, “Utopia Nowhere“, loc 1101-1105)

Hertz believed strongly that France would return to the faith:

She will begin by restoring the kingdom of France, and by God’s grace, the rest of the nations will rise and follow France back to their Lord and ruler Jesus Christ. In a discourse to the French cardinals in 1911, St. Pius X predicted: “The nation which made an alliance with God at the baptismal fonts of Reims will repent and return to her first vocation.” (op cit, loc 1667-1669)

At this point, I must emphasise these facts: God’s requests still stand: France must be consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Russia must be consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  These two are inseparable, Divine requests and until they are obeyed, suffering will continue to gather in violent intensity throughout the world. Our Lord has assured us, through St. Margaret Mary that He will reign despite all opposition and in the same manner, Our Lady and Our Lord have both asserted to Sister Lucia that in the end, her Immaculate Heart will triumph.

That said, how will this happen?  Since devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is Eucharistic, let us see what the Apocalypse tells us of the victory of the Eucharistic Lamb – that is, the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

The judgments executed by the Eucharistic Lamb upon Satan shall involve the whole world not to destroy but to chasten it and wrest it from the hands of Satan liberating the human race from his sordid servitude.

From an earlier post,The Eucharistic Vision of Our Lady of Knock:  The Holy Eucharist makes every church a temple and every tabernacle a throne of God. Thus, the vision of Knock points us to Apocalypse, Chapter 5, v. 5, which in turn points us to Isaias 11, 1-5, all of which emphasize the importance of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and the Eucharistic Reign of Jesus, symbolized for us by devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Prisoner of Love in the Eucharist.

From Father Herman Bernard Kramer:

“The temple of Christ is every Catholic Church, where He dwells in the Eucharistic Mystery. The Sacrifice of the Mass is the sacred mystery, in which Christ is “as if sacrificed”, is truly and mystically slain or immolated. The sacrifice is inseparably united with the bloody sacrifice of the Cross, because it represents and renews it. Through the Sacrifice of the Mass, Christ becomes present, establishes His throne in the Church and extends the effects of His death on the Cross and carries the purposes of God to completion. To outward appearance He is dead in the Eucharist, so there He rests “as if immolated”. But the Holy Eucharist is the throne of God through the inseparable union of Christ with the Father and the Holy Spirit.  …

Fr. Kramer tells us, “The Real Presence of Christ has been …  the standard for the armies of Christ. His soldiers, the martyrs, confessors and virgins have ever fought and bled for the altar and the cross.” And we know that Christ the King demands that the standards of the French King bear the image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Thus we understand that Christ intends to reign through Eucharistic devotion, through the true sacrifice of the Mass.

Thus, to be as clear as possible, this battle is over the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. It is over the Real Presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Holy Eucharist.  The revelations of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary concern the most Holy Eucharist. And do take note of the fact that the message of Fatima was introduced by St. Michael in a very triumphant tableau of – what? What was St. Michael telling us? He was stating the grounds of the battle: the Mass, the Eucharist and urging the weapons for the laity: Make of everything a sacrifice! Pray and sacrifice!

The silent tableau of Knock took place in inclement weather just outside the Church, thus pointing to the institutional Church forcing the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass outside. The apparition of Knock displayed on a desolate night thus foretold a period in which the conciliar Church would attempt to stifle the true Sacrifice of the Mass and replace it with a protestantised fellowship service, to serve ecumenism and the prince of this world. This is the agenda of the present occupant as we shall see before the year ends.

At Knock, the Little Lamb on the altar stood with two powerful representatives of the priesthood, St. Joseph, chaste guardian of the Holy Family and Patron of the Church, and St. John the Beloved, to whom Christ entrusted His Mother and to whom the Holy Spirit revealed the mysteries of the Apocalypse. St. John pointed to the Scriptures, begging the question, “To which scriptures?” The vision itself answers:  The Lamb on the altar indicates Apocalypse 5. The two patrons of the priesthood, St. Joseph and St. John, indicate the importance of priests in these times. Our Lady of Knock, in this vision, never took her eyes from heaven, never wavered in her intercession for the Church.

Considered in the context of the other Marian apparitions, Knock is a warning against the silencing of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the sacrilege of the Holy Eucharist, the corruption of the faith. Our Lady’s appearances at La Salette and Knock were followed by the revelation of Fatima. The Angel of Fatima, Michael, the great Archangel warrior who battles Satan gave us a warning about the abuses of the sacrifice of the Mass and desecration of the Eucharist. And now, 100 years later, the onslaught of sacrileges, outrages, and indifference  continues.

It is urgent that Catholics understand that Satan is at war with the Little Lamb, our Eucharistic Lord. Unfortunately, most Catholics are indifferent to this battle. But it is real. Satan knows that the Eucharist is Emmanuel, God with us. Although so many Catholics have forgotten this truth, or are indifferent, the devil knows that Christ the King reigns through the Eucharist. And that is why he is striving with all his immense power to extirpate the true Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, to eliminate the Real Presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ on our altars. By their perversion of mercy, in giving the the Body of Christ to unrepentant sinners, modernists debase Our Lord’s sacrament of love and attempt to drive Jesus from His own Church.

La Salette, Knock, Fatima, and Akita, all warn us of this time. This is a spiritual battle of never before seen proportions. Although we know Who will win it, we cannot afford to lose any time, for with knowledge comes responsibility. We must live our Consecrations, moment by tedious moment. Just because our lives are ordinary does not mean that they are not very, very precious to Jesus.

From Our Lord’s words to Sister Josefa Menendez:

“I so much want souls to understand this! It is not the action itself which is of value; it is the intention with which it is done. … I have many hidden souls who in their humble labors are very useful workers in My vineyard, … My love goes so far that My souls can draw great treasure out of mere nothing. When as soon as they wake they unite themselves to Me and offer their whole day with a burning desire that My Heart may use it for the profit of souls … when with love they perform their duties, hour by hour and moment by moment … how great is the treasure they amass in one day!

“I will reveal My love to them more and more … it is inexhaustible, and how easy it is for a loving soul to let itself be guided by love.” (Sister Josefa Menendez and the Way of Divine Love.)

In these times, Our Lady has given us, through God’s immense, unfathomable mercy, a profusion of graces through her holy Rosary. Please pray your Rosary with confidence in our Mother’s providence for us.  Our Lady of Fatima will not fail.  Please pray the Rosary for the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary!

The Fourth Glorious Mystery and a Circle of Love

“The Lord possessed me in the beginning of His ways, before He made anything from the beginning…. I was with Him, forming all things: and was delighted every day, playing before Him at all times. Playing in the world: and my delights were to be with the children of men. (Proverbs 8: 22, 30-31).

“For we know that every creature groaneth and travaileth in pain, even till now. And not only it, but ourselves also, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption of the sons of God, the redemption of our body.”
(Romans 8: 22-23).

The above two quotes are reconciled in the latest post by the editor at Rosary to the Interior. I highly recommend the entire article which is here: “The Fourth Glorious Mystery: The Assumption.

A brief excerpt to entice:

“The two above-quoted passages from Holy Scripture present absolutely contrasting images of human life on this earth. The first, which is applied by the Church to Mary on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception (in the Missal of the Traditional Latin Mass), depicts the delight of spiritual childhood, playing before God with the innocence and purity which began for Mary on this earth with the Immaculate Conception, and which culminated with Her Glorious Assumption, Body and Soul, into Heaven. The second resonates with the loss of this spiritual childhood through both original and actual sin, which is the experience of each one of us. The first speaks of radiant perfection and joy achieved; the second, of painful labor, waiting, and hope.

The Greatest Treason

“The last temptation is the greatest treason:
To do the right deed for the wrong reason.”

( “Murder in the Cathedral”, T. S. Eliot)

In the eleventh century, Saint Peter Damien wrote that, “The popes had politicized the papacy by appropriating its spiritual functions for secular ends.”

In the twentieth century, Father Malachi Martin wrote the following about recent popes, Pius XII, John XXIII, Paul VI, John Paul I and John Paul II,

“Marking the pontificates of each of those men was one fatal error, the use of their spiritual office to obtain leverage in the political, and diplomatic, and civic, and cultural worlds; and then using that leverage instead of the spiritual power and moral authority that was uniquely theirs.”

“And here, Your Eminences, we are at the root cause of our pain, our struggle, and our own deathly peril: our failure and the failure of our popes, to use the Church’s spiritual power to exercise its moral authority.”

This error that Father Malachi Martin and St. Peter Damien refers to, that is, politicizing the papacy by appropriating its spiritual functions for secular ends has been evident in virtually every single act of the current papacy. Its corollary is evident not only in the pope and hierarchy but throughout almost the entirety of the responses of the laity. I refer to the indifference to using the Church’s spiritual power to exercise its moral authority.

And the Sixth Angel Sounded the Trumpet

“One woe is past, and behold there come yet two woes more hereafter. And the sixth angel sounded the trumpet:”

[13] … and I heard a voice from the four horns of the great altar, which is before the eyes of God, [14] Saying to the sixth angel, who had the trumpet: Loose the four angels, who are bound in the great river Euphrates. [15] And the four angels were loosed, who were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year: for to kill the third part of men.

[16] And the number of the army of horsemen was twenty thousand times ten thousand. And I heard the number of them. [17] And thus I saw the horses in the vision: and they that sat on them, had breastplates of fire and of hyacinth and of brimstone, and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions: and from their mouths proceeded fire, and smoke, and brimstone. [18] And by these three plagues was slain the third part of men, by the fire and by the smoke and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths. [19] For the power of the horses is in their mouths, and in their tails. For, their tails are like to serpents, and have heads: and with them they hurt. [20] And the rest of the men, who were not slain by these plagues, did not do penance from the works of their hands, that they should not adore devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and wood, which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

[21] Neither did they penance from their murders, nor from their sorceries, nor from their fornication, nor from their thefts. (Apocalypse Chapter 9, verses 13-21)

With the Sixth Angel’s Trumpet, we are introduced to the most severe chastisement so far. St. John himself seems to expect disbelief at the vastness of it, for when he announces that the army of horsemen numbers “20,000 times 10,000”, that is, 200,000,000, he quickly asserts, “And I heard the number of them”, thus confirming this number is from the Holy Ghost, and not his own conjecture.

Sculpture in Vatican Hall portraying the Conciliar/ Modernist Vision of their anti-Church.

The Great Altar is Christ our Savior,  and it is He who commands the four fallen angels be released. That these angels are fallen is clear because they have been bound. That Jesus is allowing them to be free is evidence of His justice, which has been so long mocked with false mercy of hypocrites. The Great Altar emphasises Christ’s perfect sacrifice for us on Calvary and in the true Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. This vision is directly related to the abuses of the Mass, such as stripping it of its sacrificial nature, and the abuses of the faith, carried out by the leaders of the Church, those who are most called to protect, promote and defend the Faith.

He Is Not Sleeping!

“And when He entered into the boat, His disciples followed Him: And behold a great tempest arose in the sea, so that the boat was covered with waves, but He was asleep. And they came to Him, and awaked Him, saying: ‘Lord, save us, we perish.’ And Jesus saith to them: ‘Why are you fearful, O ye of little faith?’ Then rising up He commanded the winds, and the sea, and there came a great calm. But the men wondered, saying: ‘What manner of man is this, for the winds and the sea obey Him?’ “  (Matt. 8, 23-27)

He is not sleeping! He is chastening us! This is the spiritual chastisement which will deepen until we obey.

The quote above was from the reading for yesterday’s Gospel, the 24th Sunday after Pentecost. This Gospel is often applied today to the situation we are suffering through with the current pope of affliction who appears to be determined to sink the Barque of Peter, imperilling all within it. The concept of Our Lord sleeping through the storm which threatens us is a popular one with many Catholic sites today. A dear reader sent me one such quote from a prominent blog which took that view. Now, before we discuss the quote, please understand that I am not attacking another Catholic writer, but simply offering a perspective which keeps getting overlooked by many influential writers.

Now, let’s take a look at the quote which was sent to me:

“How could we expect God to turn a blind eye to the sacrilege and heresy that is endemic to almost every Novus Ordo Mass offered on the planet for the last 49 years – while the entire Church sat in the silence of complicity, more concerned with worldly approval than the Sacred, Wounded Heart of Our Blessed Lord, and His Mother?

“So, yes, He is sleeping under the poop as the storm rages, but we must remember His admonition: Why are you fearful? have you not faith yet? He will rise up, and He will say, “Peace, be still.” And the Barque of Peter will be saved from these devils, and it will lower its nets and bring in a great harvest of souls. We know this. We CANNOT doubt this.

“So, while I, in my weakness, like everyone else, keep thinking, “Please wake up, please wake up, we’re dying, we’re dying”, -these very words are in today’s Gospel and repeated again as nothing less than the antiphon of the Magnificat at Vespers:Lord, save us: * we perish; give the word, O God, and let there be a great calm!I am just going to go back to the poop deck and kneel down next to Him, stare at His Holy Face and keep whispering: Wake up, wake up. Save us. We are perishing.See you on the poop deck! Wake up… wake up.”

The above quote was from Bishop Rene Gracida’s post, “For reasons known only to the Lord, He seems to be asleep on the Barque of Peter but we have confidence that when He ‘wakes’ He will calm the hurricane Bergoglia” , in which he was quoting Barnhardt’s post, “We Perish! And Yet He Snoozeth on the Poop Deck” here. Please do note that I am not intending to attack either writer, but to provide what I hope will be a helpful interpretation of the storm in the light of Our Lady’s message at Fatima.
