And there will be earthquakes

And there shall be earthquakes in divers places …  the beginning of sorrows. (Mark, 13)

As a preface to today’s post, please see Tancred’s post at Eponymous Flower here. Interesting times, these! A cluster of earthquakes often precedes a much larger one. Such as at Fukushima of recent memory. This blessed event – for these are merciful warnings of a just God – is yet another of many recent calls to repentance.

A mere facade remains…

If you would like to follow the activity of the active volcanoes and earthquakes involved, here is a useful site:

But do not be disheartened by all this. God is above all, intent on our salvation. Our Lord Jesus Christ suffered and died for us, and still is suffering, for each of us. Our Lady, despite the malignant attacks of the enemy, still patiently awaits our return to her love.

Yesterday’s post was a plea for Catholics to put their smartphones down and seek repentance, true contrition for their sins. It offended many and wish I knew of a humorous, lighthearted way to entertain readers as I warn them that we must do penance now for all those we love who are still unable or unwilling to heed the message of Fatima, or even to take note of the signs that that are being given to us to repent. It is out of love that I say these things. I wish I knew a better way.

From an earlier post,

“Now is the time for love, for our earnest prayers and penances for all others. If we do not rise to this occasion, we must answer for our indifference, through which so many souls are lost. Our Lady has promised us her assistance in this; we can only fail if we do not attempt it.”

And in a still earlier one:

“The Church is in dire need of her Mother, to whom Christ Himself entrusted her from His throne of the Cross. If you read this, you are called to heed her command,

Jesus wants to use you to make me known and loved. He wants to establish devotion to my Immaculate Heart in the world.

Sacrifice yourselves for sinners, and say often, especially when you make some sacrifice,

‘O my Jesus, it is for love of Thee, for the conversion of sinners and in reparation for sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer this sacrifice to Thee’.

We are, all of us,  our brothers’ keeper! We must help those who are so unfortunate as to be unable to extricate themselves from their worldly thinking. Their pride has left them helpless before the Lord of the World, unable to discern their own danger, blind to the will of God. This includes our pitiful, arrogant hierarchy, immured in modernism, secular humanism and the other tragic ideologies that slay the souls of the faithless. Thus, our prayers, especially the true Mass and the Rosary, and our sacrifices and penances are needed to help our hierarchy repent, turn from their errors and restore the faith!” (Fire in the House of God)

Please, make use of this time to learn as much as possible about the true message of Fatima. John Salza’s site in the sidebar is about the best available, and if you can only buy one book about the Fatima message, his book, “A Catechism on Fatima” is essential. It is very brief and to the point. And yet it includes everything you need to know.

Note, I am not claiming that the world is about to end. But simply stating that the Church can only be cleansed of this current aberration by God’s help. No amount of secular activity will achieve the necessary cleansing. And Sacred Scripture is chock filled with evidence of God’s solution to cleansing the Temple. If we have learned anything from the past, it should be to make ready our souls, for it is never too late to turn to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Our Mother.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of our hearts, Mother of the Church, do thou offer to the Eternal Father the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, for the conversion of poor sinners, especially our Pontiff.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us!

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy Kingdom come! Viva Cristo Rey!

St. Joseph, guardian of the Holy Family, protect our families!

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle!

~ evensong, for love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, King.
Vouchsafe that I may praise thee, O Sacred Virgin, give me strength against thine enemies!

Fatima: “Private Revelation”?

“The wicked dragon pours out, as a most impure flood, the venom of his malice on men of depraved mind and corrupt heart, the spirit of lying, of impiety, of blasphemy, and the pestilent breath of impurity, and of every vice and iniquity.

“These most crafty enemies have filled and inebriated with gall and bitterness the Church, the spouse of the immaculate Lamb, and have laid impious hands on her most sacred possessions. In the Holy Place itself, where has been set up the See of the most holy Peter and the Chair of Truth for the light of the world, they have raised the throne of their abominable impiety, with the iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been struck, the sheep may be scattered.“ (Pope Leo XIII)

Even the densest neo-Catholic has begun to see the prescience of Pope Leo XIII’s words in the events occurring since that fateful evening March 13, 2013. And yet, tragically, few Catholics even consider the one remedy God has given us to cleanse the Church – and the world! – from this evil. This remedy is the true message of Fatima, revealed to the Church and the world nearly a century ago, and all but ignored to this day.  Satan has succeeded in obscuring the true message of Fatima with misinterpretations and pious distractions, but now, with his latest book, “A Catechism on Fatima”,  John Salza has given us valuable help to clear away the obfuscation and errors about Fatima.

Salza’s latest book is even more than a manual for the truth about the message of Fatima; it is an excellent refutation of the pervasive errors which obscure the true message and cause so many otherwise faithful Catholics to spurn this vital truth.

Two of the most diabolically deceptive errors about the Message of Fatima are that it is a mere “private revelation” and that the Consecration of Russia is a moot point. These two deceits alone have prevented so many Catholics from obeying the Blessed Virgin’s commands.

Regarding the erroneous statement that Fatima is just “private revelation”. Salza explains that a private revelation is intended for the person to whom the revelation is given, whereas Fatima’s message is intended for the entire world and most especially, for the Pope.
