Malachi Martin on the Apostasy of the Faith

Pope Francis to Eugenio Scalfari of La Repubblica, the Pope’s favorite newspaper: “this is bottom line result, the de facto appraisals are entrusted to the confessors, but at the end of faster or slower paths, all the divorced who ask will be admitted.” (Rorate Caeli)

The above is shocking, of course, even though we knew it was coming to this. But to help us get  some perspective, let’s take a brief look at what Malachi Martin predicted back in the 1990’s.

Years after his death, and despite the vicious campaign to malign his reputation, Father Malachi Martin continues to prove prescient in his diagnosis of the problems afflicting the Church.  Triumph Communications has a series of small books based on interviews Father Martin gave during the course of the last decade of his life. I have been reading several of them and believe them helpful in understanding the urgency of our current situation. Father Martin stressed way back in the 1990’s that we are in a time which is far, far worse than in any previous period of persecution in the Church.

Fr. Malachi Martin stated quite firmly that Popes John XXIII, Paul VI and John Paul II all failed to obey Our Lady of Fatima:

“These Popes did not carry out the mandate of the Queen of Heaven. She said, “All you bishops, together on one day, consecrate Russia to me. And Russia will be converted.” If this consecration had been done, Russia would have become Catholic, Marxism would have been finished and there would be no chastisements. But she also said, “If you don’t do this consecration, my Son is going to punish you all.” John XXIII, Paul VI, and John Paul II neglected this warning and command. …”

In explaining why the consecration still had not been done, Martin said that the reason, “goes all the way back to Lucifer. He simply has too much power among the prelates of the Church. He is able to neutralize the people who attempt something.”

Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.

The Hierarchy of the Church is in Apostasy

In “The Tempter’s Hour”, by Triumph Communications, Father Martin discussed his recently published book, “Windswept House”; affirming that “95% of the events (related in the book) are factual, but they are cloaked in novelistic form.” He stated that the primary theme of the book is, “The Roman Catholic Church …. is in apostasy.” Father went on to discuss the often used, misused and poorly understood terms, schismatic, heretic and apostate. I’ve taken the liberty of summarizing them below:

  • If you are schismatic, it means you fight over the Church’s power or jurisdiction.
  • If you are a heretic, you deny one or more doctrines taught by the Church. If you believe a heresy, it doesn’t mean you completely lost your faith, but it does mean you are very dangerously positioned to lose your faith.
  • But if you are an apostate, you deny basic truths of the Church, such as hell, divine grace, or personal sin, such as in reducing sin to merely social offenses.

Father Martin then stated:

“At the present moment  (1997) a sizable majority of Catholics are in apostasy. They have been led into apostasy by churchmen in apostasy. At least a sizable minority of cardinals, bishops, priests and religious are in apostasy. They no longer profess the basic truths of Christianity, let alone Catholicism.”

Now, nearly a generation later, it is clear that the “sizable minority” of apostate cardinals and bishops has become a majority.

He then compared the present situation with the heresies of the Protestant Revolt, noting that that neither Luther nor King Henry VIII denied truths such as heaven, hell, sanctifying grace or divine revelation. Their main error was claiming to be the magisterium.

“Today’s apostasy is worse than the Arian heresy … We are in a terrible situation where churchmen do not believe that Jesus is in the Blessed Sacrament. They don’t even believe that Jesus is God. And they go even further than that. A famous French Jesuit, Teilhard de Chardin, held that God didn’t become man, but that man is going to become God. … Some Cardinals hold that idea. They no longer believe in the Incarnation as we know it or the Resurrection as we know it. They are apostates and yet they are in charge. They are in charge of the Church!”

Father then noted that the majority of Catholics “are being lead by the nose out of the true faith and they don’t even know it. The bishop and his priests often say that it is alright if you are a homosexual, or are divorced and (civilly) re-married and come to the sacraments.” Once again, this was in 1997, and see how appropriate that is in light of the recent Kasperian synod.

The interviewer, Bernard Janzen, remarked that “one of the characteristics of the hierarchy is that they do not openly deny the doctrines and dogmas of the Faith; they simply act as though the doctrines do not exist. Father Martin confirmed that, “They live their lives as if the teachings don’t exist any longer.”

Father Martin then explained that a sub-theme of Windswept House is that,

“in a short time, humanly speaking, there will be no visible holy Roman Catholic Church organization.” He then repeated, for emphasis, “There won’t be any organization.” Further, “This is referred to as auto-demolition. [See here for more on this.] In the 1960’s there was this diabolcal consecration, this enthronement of Satan within the Vatican. … It is a historical fact. … done by Luciferians from all over the world and therefore, in a certain sense, Lucifer has power in Rome. He doesn’t own Rome yet, but I’m sure he hopes to own some future Pope so that the house will be truly his. The only man who can expel Lucifer from Rome is the owner of the house. And that owner is the Pope. It is the Pope that must carry out the exorcism, the cleaning of the house.”

The Fire of the Immaculate or the Fire from Heaven?

The following is a repost from a top-notch blog in England, BVMServant with thanks to Mr. Dulston.  and it is a very welcome addition to our understanding of the meaning of the October messages of Fatima and Akita for this Synod and the period of trial sure to follow close upon it.

The Fire of the Immaculate or the Fire from Heaven?

With the Family Synod occurring the Marian month of October, and in light of Cardinal Kasper’s comments about re-evaluating homosexual relationships we should be aware of the connection of prophesy and scripture in this regard. The Miracle of the Sun witnessed at Fatima on 13th October 1917, and the Chastisement spoken of on 13th October 1973 (the dates already link the two events and Cardinal Ratizinger confirmed Akita as a continuation of Fatima) Akita are linked as a prelude to a certain type of punishment not witnessed by humanity before. Further, this punishment is linked to the sin of Homosexuality in particular, as the sin crying out for God’s Justice, one might say the sin that tips the scales of God’s Justice.

Let us begin with the Great Miracle of the Sun on October 13, 1917, as reported by a witness…

“The sun’s disc did not remain immobile. This was not the sparkling of a, heavenly body, for it spun round on itself in a mad whirl. Then, suddenly, one heard a clamour, a cry of anguish breaking from all the people. The sun, whirling wildly, seemed to loosen itself from the firmament and advance threateningly upon the earth as if to crush us with its huge and fiery weight. The sensation during those moments was terrible.”

Now consider the message of Akita on October 13, 1973…

“As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and priests.”

The Rosary forms the basis of a response, a remedy even a forestalling of the chastisement similar to that theme described in the Book of Jonah or the intercession of Abraham in Genesis (surely there are many holy souls in each parish, Diocese, etc.?). However, Our Mother’s visits are tied in with Scripture, more particularly Elijah on Mount Carmel which also involves ‘fire’.

Consider the sin of Homosexuality and its shadow over the Family Synod in ‘October’ (that month again) and then consider Our Lady of Akita’s further comments after she reveals the nature of the chastisement…

“The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops…”

Now consider the punishment exacted for the sin of homosexuality in the Book of Genesis, recalling first that it is a sin which cries out for God’s Justice…

Genesis, Chapter 18, 20-21
20 Then the Lord said, ‘The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous 21 that I will go down and see if what they have done is as bad as the outcry that has reached me. If not, I will know.’

Then the punishment…

The Lord rained down burning sulphur on Sodom and Gomorrah.
The Lord rained down burning sulphur on Sodom and Gomorrah.

Genesis, Chapter 19, 23-25
23 By the time Lot reached Zoar, the sun had risen over the land. 24 Then the Lord rained down burning sulphur on Sodom and Gomorrah—from the Lord out of the heavens. 25 Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, destroying all those living in the cities—and also the vegetation in the land.

Now consider the fire called down from Heaven from Elijah and particularly the effect of the fire on the waterlogged sacrifice…

Elijah and the prophets of baal
Elijah and the prophets of baal

 1 Kings 18
33 He arranged the wood, cut the bull into pieces and laid it on the wood. Then he said to them, “Fill four large jars with water and pour it on the offering and on the wood.”

34 “Do it again,” he said, and they did it again.

“Do it a third time,” he ordered, and they did it the third time. 35 The water ran down around the altar and even filled the trench.

36 At the time of sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and prayed: “Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command. 37 Answer me, Lord, answer me, so these people will know that you, Lord, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again.”

38 Then the fire of the Lord fell and burned up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones and the soil, and also licked up the water in the trench.

39 When all the people saw this, they fell prostrate and cried, “The Lord—he is God! The Lord—he is God!”

Notice the similarity with the people who witnessed the Miracle of the Sun at Fatima in October, 1917, who were drenched in rainwater before being made completely dry. That despite our sins, particularly the sin of homosexuality, God could purify us by this Chastisement, and in this regard notice that Elijah is connected to our response to the threat and indeed the era following the chastisement should it occur.

Our Lady appeared on the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel at Lourdes July 16th 1858 looking more beautiful than ever, a sign of what things will be like after our purification.   At Fatima, Our Lady’s final appearance is as Our Lady of Mount Carmel showing us not only the way to respond to the threatened chastisement but a way of life after it. Thus, Our Lady of Mount Carmel offers us the Rosary and the Scapular to cement our union with God and which will achieve Peace for the world, in an age spoken of by St Louis de Monfort at the beginning of his Devotion to Mary, a new age of Marian saints like no other – that is to say the age of the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

England is connected to these times, the Dowry of Our Lady, was the scene of Our Lady’s visit to give the first scapular to St. Simon Stock on July 16th, 1251 anticipating future events of which we now live.

So October 2015 will determine our fate but meanwhile recourse to the Rosary, the Scapular and for those of us who attend to Our Lady of Fatima’s call for the five first Saturday devotion (had you started in May it forms five months prior to the Synod) will be pivotal in the outcome not only for the Church but for the world. It would be remiss not to go back to Our Lady of Akita who also added a vital remedy and it is not the least of them: ‘the sign left by my Son’ which without doubt is reference to the Eucharist envisaged by the dream of St. John Bosco.

Finally, consider that Five First Saturdays Devotion is linked to the five wounds to Mary’s Immaculate Heart which all link to Marriage and Family Life, and as indicated by Sister Lucia: the final confrontation with the Devil will be over Marriage and Family life.

Either we choose the fire of the Immaculate Heart of Mary which reflects God’s Mercy or we choose the fire of God’s Justice which will tip the scales back and fulfill the plan of the Immaculate Heart of Mary the hard way as is so often the case with stubborn and cold hearted humanity who had to see out World War II because many did not respond to Our Lady of Fatima.

All the scripture and prophesy point to this moment as decisive and if we feel a little afraid remember those good German Jesuit priests at Hiroshima – who saved them? Why were they saved? Well of course Mary, and their utter allegiance to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and her messages at Fatima. Our Lady showed the children of Fatima that terrible place called Hell, to which those souls who commit ‘sins of the flesh’ were present as Our Lady indicated, and we should spare a prayer for those who commit the sin of Homosexuality for ultimately it is the fire of Hell which shall fall upon them if they do not repent.

Editor comment: Just as we were preparing this article, information came to our attention of yet another insult to he Blessed Virgin Mary by a spokesman for the Synod. Eponymous Flower reports:

Bishop of Albano, Marcello Semeraro, secretary of the C9-Cardinal Advisors, after expressing “revulsion” at the letter of the 13 Cardinals who dissented from the Bergoglio agenda, said the following:

“There has to be more time to deepen the questions. The Church discussed for several centuries of the mother of God was conceived without sin […]. Moreover, there are dogmas, like the Immaculate Conception which are not as important to the concrete lives of people, about which we are talking in the Synod.”

Blow after blasphemous blow is being struck by these men against the Truth and against the Immaculate Mother of God. I believe that it is the mercy of Our Lady that is staying the hand of Justice in order for us to reach out to those who have so far refused to wake up to the danger. Let’s redouble our efforts to help bring Catholics back to the faith, back to Our Blessed Mother, who alone can bring us safely through this crisis.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy Kingdom come!
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.
St. Joseph, Patron of Families, Father of the Church, protect us.
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.

The Auto-demolition of the Church

Miserabilism demands that the Church and her hierarchy divest of all properties and splendor and become truly indigent. It was evident particularly in the Protestant revolution which hated the beauty of Catholic art, architecture, music and all that caused the Church to have dignity. Miserabilism would strip the Church of her beauty, both spiritual and temporal in the name of a false humility. This heretical tendency is among the many that were part of the revolution of Vatican II and now reaches its full flowering in miserabilist Pope Francis, the First Humble Pope in History®.

Tho all else fail, The Immaculate will prevail!

Though all else fail, the Immaculate will prevail!

Msgr. Eugene Pacelli, the future Pope Pius XII, made this astonishing prophecy on the future upheaval in the Church:

“I am worried by the Blessed Virgin’s messages to Lucy of Fatima. This persistence of Mary about the dangers which menace the Church is a divine warning against the suicide of altering the Faith, in Her liturgy, Her theology and Her soul. … I hear all around me innovators who wish to dismantle the Sacred Chapel, destroy the universal flame of the Church, reject Her ornaments and make Her feel remorse for Her historical past.

“A day will come when the civilized world will deny its God, when the Church will doubt as Peter doubted. She will be tempted to believe that man has become God. In our churches, Christians will search in vain for the red lamp where God awaits them. Like Mary Magdalene, weeping before the empty tomb, they will ask, ‘Where have they taken Him?'” (Roche, Pie XII Devant L’Historie, p. 52-53, quoted by Father Kramer in “The Devil’s Final Battle”, 2002, Good Counsel Publications. Thorough documentation on this quote, including the date, 1933, can be found at the website of Atila Sinke Guimaraes, Tradition in Action.)

The doctrine of the Immaculate Conception was defined and proclaimed in the 19th century, and early in the 20th century, our Lord Jesus Christ sent His Mother to request devotion to her Immaculate Heart as a remedy for the increasing heresies of scientism and modernism, the increasing apostasy from the faith. Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary is absolutely inimical to the Lord of the World, Satan, who is at war always and everywhere with the Church, the Bride of Christ, and with her Mother. Exorcists have amply demonstrated this intense hatred which Satan bears for the Blessed Virgin Mary, and his impotence where she is concerned. This is documented in the writings of Fathers Gabriele Amorth, Malachi Martin and Leon Cristiani.

Feed My Sheep

“Nothing Francis says in the final “Catholic section” of Chapter Six (of Laudato Si)  leads the soul to conversion from sin, toward the life of sanctifying grace, towards acceptance of perennial Catholic doctrine, toward true devotion to these Catholic goods as ends in themselves. Rather, these holy images: the Eucharist, the Trinity, Our Lady, Saint Joseph, are mentioned by Francis to urge us toward the naturalistic end of ecological awareness and ecological conversion. This manipulation of supernatural treasures is an abuse of the Papal Office, and indicates the man presently holding the office does not know what the Papacy is.” (John Vennari, Catholic Family News)

What man is there among you, of whom if his son shall ask bread, will he reach him a stone? Or if he shall ask him a fish, will he reach him a serpent?
What man is there among you, of whom if his son shall ask bread, will he reach him a stone? Or if he shall ask him a fish, will he reach him a serpent?

John Vennari has offered an important key to a Catholic understanding Pope Bergoglio’s encyclical Laudato Si. To help us look at the encyclical with a truly Catholic sense, Mr. Vennari necessarily returns to the words of St. Pius X, more than a century ago.

“If we wish to review what is first duty of the Roman Pontiff, we turn to Pope St. Pius X, the greatest Pope of the 20th Century. Pius opened his 1907 Encyclical Against Modernism stating the first duty of the Pope is to preserve the purity of doctrine and to combat error.

“In the first lines of Pascendi, Pius teaches that one of the “primary obligations assigned by Christ to the office divinely committed to Us of feeding the Lord’s flock is that of guarding with the greatest vigilance the deposit of the faith delivered to the saints, rejecting the profane novelties of words and the gainsay of knowledge falsely so called.” He explains that in the face of the Modernist heresy, “We may no longer keep silence, lest We should seem to fail in Our most sacred duty …”

“To neglect teaching the Faith in its integrity, and to allow heresy to run rampant among the flock, is a Papacy of failure.

“In contrast to Pius X, Francis mocks “those who long for an exaggerated doctrinal ‘security,’ those who stubbornly try to recover a past that no longer exists—they have a static and inward-directed view of things.”[2] He spends his energy provoking moral confusion (the tumultuous Synod of 2014 and the worrisome upcoming 2015 Synod) and on humanist endeavors, such as ecological awareness. It is safe to say that Francis’ understanding of the nature of the Papacy is skewed and deficient. He certainly has a different understanding from that of Pope St. Pius X.”

Vennari points out the sure to be overlooked connection with Leonardo Boff, an ex-priest and proud neo-pagan. I’ll give just one brief quote from Boff:

“Blessed are those among you who believe in the hidden strength of the seed. You have the power to raise up the people and give back life to their culture, bringing joy to the aged and praising my holy name: God, Virachocah and Quetzalcoatal.” (p. 3)

Quetzalcoatl was the Aztec “Feather Serpent” god, one of the two gods to whom ancient Aztecs offered human sacrifice.” So our pontiff presumably shares neopagan Boff’s devotion to Quetzalcoatl? Really? Well, adoring the bloodthirsty idol with massive human sacrifices would be a big step forward in the population control agenda, I suppose…

Vennari, quoting from papal biographer Paul Vallely, explained that,  after becoming pope, “Pope Francis asked Boff to send him his writings on eco-theology in preparation for a majory encyclical Francis is considering on environmental matters.”[7]

Vennari summed up his impression of the encyclical,

” … For the first time in history, an alleged magisterial document contains a prayer for non-Christians, and a prayer for Christians [#246]. This borders on apostasy, since there is no true ‘religion’ apart from the Catholic Faith. Never was there a Pope in history who composed and inserted into an alleged magisterial document what appears to be a prayer that invokes an unnamed “god” who has nothing to do with Jesus Christ.

It is not wise to be unduly taken in by the Catholic vocabulary we find kneaded into the document.

As mentioned at the outset, the purpose of Pope Francis’ Laudato Si is to promote “ecological awareness,” “ecological conversion,” and to advance responsible “ecological citizenship.” Everything else in the document – everything else – is meant to serve this final goal.

The text is permeated by the sprit of neo-pagan Leonardo Boff. It is religion at the service of humanity, religion at the service of ecology.”

I regret to say that throughout this dreary papacy, I’ve never been able to obtain any reassurance for my nagging premonition that in Pope Francis we at last have arrived at the nadir of the papacy, a truly modernist, apostate pope in whom there is no intention of being a Vicar of Our Lord Jesus Christ. He seems determined to drag the Bride of Christ down to serve the Lord of the World. May God have mercy on us all.

One Year After Randy Engel’s Open Letter

A year ago, Randy Engel wrote an Open Letter to Pope Francis. Mrs. Engel is well known as the author of the “Rite of Sodomy – Homosexuality in the Catholic Church”, an exhaustive review of the corruption of the Church by sodomitical heretics. Her Open Letter is a tour de force of the disgusting subject of homosexuality within the ranks of the Catholic clergy and a poignant plea for the Holy Father to protect the faithful by establishing a Papal Commission of Inquiry into Homosexuality and Pederasty in the Church. Events of the past year have shown the wisdom of Mrs. Engel’s  concerns. And so, I offer several excerpts from Mrs. Engel’s Open Letter. The article in its entirety can be found here.

Engel quite ably makes her case that the vice of sodomy has been firmly opposed by St. John Chrysostom, St. Peter Damian, St. Thomas Aquinas and has always and everywhere in the Church been condemned as a harmful vice. And yet, following Vatican II, the Church has substantially softened her stance and now appears to be tolerant of this vice.

“The effect of all this pandering by the Church to the forces of organized perversion is that the average Catholic …, has been systematically stripped of the natural and supernatural revulsion that the normal person feels when confronted with sexual perversion. She then calls for the closing down and exorcizing of “Catholic gay parishes” and the termination of “Catholic gay ministries” supported by Episcopal Conferences, including the notorious Holy Redeemer Parish in San Francisco and St. Xavier Parish in Manhattan.

“You frequently talk about the need for social justice and ministries for the poor and disenfranchised, but I have yet to see the Holy See promote a special ministry of compassion and healing to the victims of clerical sexual abuse and their families, who are routinely treated as “enemies” of the Church instead of beloved members of the parish family who have been victimized by clerical miscreants in the name of God. … “

Pope Francis and his friend, Msgr. Ricca
Pope Francis and his friend, Msgr. Ricca

Engel then reviewed the case of Msgr. Ricca, whom Pope Francis had just appointed to the prestigious post of Prelate of the Institute for Religious Works (Vatican Bank). Ricca was forced to leave his post at the Papal Nunciature in Uruguay due to the public nature of his scandalous affair with his Swiss Army lover, Patrick Haari. The fact that Pope Francis continues to stay in the Santa Marta Guest House which is run by Msgr. Ricca and the same Ricca continues in his position of authority in the Vatican Bank bears eloquent testimony to the support that the homosexual agenda has in this papacy.

In making her case, Mrs. Engel frequently has recourse to graphic and shocking information regarding homosexuality and I cannot put such information on this site, but must point out that revolting as it is, this information is important for you to understand the severity of the threat to the Church which is posed by the widespread tolerance and even encouragement that the Church hierarchy gives to sodomites. For this information, please refer to Mrs. Engel’s Open Letter  at the following  link .

In fact, I believe the homosexual agenda counts on our reticence regarding these matters, to screen their revolting behavior. Our silence helps them achieve their goals. After reading Engel’s Open Letter in its entirety, it becomes apparent that a terrible blasphemy is being promoted within the Church under Pope Francis’s new “mercy”, which finds special virtues in such disgusting sins and yet sees nothing but reprehensible behavior in faithful Catholics.

Engel’s Open Letter calls for for a Papal Commission of Inquiry into Homosexuality and Pederasty in the Catholic Church, noting that,

“It is strange that despite more than three decades of clerical sexual abuse scandals in the Church, most linked to pederasty, neither you nor any of your post-Conciliar predecessors have ever made any attempt to investigate the extent and consequences of the dual plague of homosexuality and pederasty on the Catholic diocesan priesthood and religious life, and on the life of the Catholic laity? With thousands of convicted clerical abusers, and hundreds of thousands of victims, and billions paid out in legal and reparation fees world-wide, isn’t it time that such an investigation were instituted?”

Engel asks, “How far does the Church intend to extend its invitation to these deviant elements in our society without facing charges of endangering the faith and morals of the Catholic laity, especially Catholic youth?” One year after Mrs. Engel’s Open Letter  to Pope Francis, we have seen how far the Pope will go. He has stubbornly insisted on keeping the pro-homosexual portions of the Synod’s Midterm Report in the final document. This next year will be a battleground between faithful Catholics and the forces of modernism lead by Pope Francis.

It saddens me that this post on my rarely seen blog is perhaps the only recognition that Randy Engel’s brave efforts will receive. However, I hope that faithful Catholics will continue to offer rosaries and penances to the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary for the poor besieged Bride of Christ, suffering so much from this shameful pope.

The depravity and apostasy corrupting the Church today is directly related to the continued refusals of the popes to obey Our Lady of Fatima’s request. But we faithful Catholics are also to blame. We are called to repentance, reparation and prayer. Instead of wringing our hands over what the popes and hierarchy have failed to do, we need to get busy doing our part. Prepare now to renew your Total Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on her feast day, 8 December. And live your consecration moment by moment. At least, these times provide us with plenty of opportunities to “offer it up”, don’t they!

Pray the rosary and confound the devil!

Viva Christo Rey!
