Fatima, Akita and the Chastisement, II

Please, if you haven’t already, be sure to read Dr. Roberto de Mattei’s article on Rorate Caeli here..
It is an excellent synopsis of  the Message of Fatima placed within its historical context. Hopefully, many will read it, and I also will post more soon.

As requested, a repost::

In our previous post, we briefly outlined the Blessed Virgin Mary’s appearances at Fatima on October 13, 1917 and at Akita on October 13, 1973. Today we consider the meanings behind the rich symbols of these two visits from the Queen of Heaven.

Who is she that cometh forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in array?
. Grant that I may praise thee, O Sacred Virgin, give me strength against thy enemies!

The Rosary, Foremost Message of Fatima and Akita

In both, our Blessed Mother called us to the Rosary. In fact, at Fatima, she identified herself as Our Lady of the Rosary, the name by which she calls her children to pray to her. And at each visit to Fatima, she requested the daily Rosary. In her last appearance at Akita, Oct. 13, 1973, Our Lady stressed the importance of the Rosary, saying,

“The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by my Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and the priests.”

Dear Readers, this is urgent! Never before have we needed the Rosary as we do now – and yet never before has the Church been so resistant. False devotions, distractions, have been allowed to detract from the Rosary. For your salvation and the salvation of those entrusted to you:

Please commit to Our Lady right now, to pray the traditional Rosary, that is the Rosary as it existed when she requested it at Fatima and Akita, and as she confirmed to us with the beautiful visions of the little shepherds of Fatima on October 13, 1917. That is,  the Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries plus the Fatima Decade Prayer.

Each day, live and pray all these mysteries of Our Lady’s Rosary. Do not get sidetracked by other devotions, no matter how much appeal they may have for you. Her children must serve her by obedience!

I love the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary, but if obligations cause me to cut back some devotions, I omit a bit of this beautiful Office, rather than cut back on my quiet time with Our Lady or her Rosary. For that is truly our lifeline to Mary, by which she channels grace and healing to this poor suffering world. Despite what Pope Francis tells us, the greatest evil is not inequality, it is sin. Yes, there is no greater evil than sin.

Poverty, pain, horrid death, no, none of these is the true evil, for sin is the origin of all suffering. Sin alone is the greatest evil. The Immaculata’s active purity – for it is not some passive quality – some lack, no,  the Purity of the Immaculata is the most powerful force against sin and suffering.  God has decreed that it is through her Immaculate Heart that we receive the graces essential for our salvation, for she is mediatrix of all graces. The modernist Church rejects this truth to its own damnation.

By our Rosaries, we combat the filth invading the Church. This filth is not only the human, physical filth of the unnatural lusts consuming these poor sick priests and prelates, it is the spiritual filth of their perverted faith, for they have replaced the clear, beautiful faith given us by our Savior Jesus Christ, with the false faith of Judas, Luther and the other servants of Satan, the implacable enemies of our Lord Jesus Christ and His Church.

The Figure of a Woman, anticipating 2017

St. Hildegard’s Vision of the Five Beasts includes another vision, that which she refers to as, “The Figure of a Woman”. This is the strange figure in the woodcut below:
https://www.returntofatima.org
From Vision Eleven, Scivias, The Figure of a Woman.

And I saw again the figure of a woman whom I had previously seen in front of the altar that stands before the Eyes of God; she stood in the same place, but now I saw her from the waist down. And from her waist to the place that denotes the female, she had various scaly blemishes; and in that latter place was a black and monstrous head. It had fiery eyes and ears like an ass’ and its nostrils and mouth were like a lion’s; it opened wide its jowls and terribly clashed its horrible iron-colored teeth. And from its head down to her knees, the figure was white and red, as if bruised by many beatings; and from her knees to her tendons where they joined her heels, which appeared white, she was covered with blood.

And behold! That monstrous head moved from its place with such a great shock that the figure of the woman was shaken through all her limbs. And a great mass of excrement adhered to the head; and it raised itself up upon a mountain and tried to ascend the height of Heaven. And behold, there came suddenly a thunderbolt, which struck that head with such great force that it fell from the mountain and yielded up its spirit in death. And a reeking cloud enveloped the whole mountain, which wrapped the head in such filth that the people who stood by were thrown into the greatest terror. And that cloud remained around the mountain for a while longer.

The people who stood there, perceiving this, were shaken with great fear, and said to one another: “Alas, alas! What is this? What do you think this was? Alas, wretches that we are! Who will help us, and who will deliver us? For we know not how we were deceived. O Almighty God, have mercy on us! Let us return; let us hasten to the covenant of Christ’s Gospel; for ah, ah, ah! We have been bitterly deceived! And lo, the feet of the figure of the woman glowed white, shining with a splendor greater than the sun’s.

Malachi Martin’s Three Possibilities

In this article, we are considering possibilities proposed by Father Malachi Martin for the present and near future of the Passion of the Church.
Make a mess!

Continuing with the Coda portion of Father Malachi Martin’s book, “The Keys of This Blood”, Fr. Martin lists three possibilities, actually weaknesses, which are likely to be exploited by the enemy within the Church to destroy her. Each of the three would serve to sow doubt and confusion and scandalize the faithful, effectively disintegrating the vital unity of the Church.

The first possibility is if a sizable body of Roman Catholics, clergy and laity, become convinced, rightly or wrongly, that Pope was not elected validly.

The second is similar; if a sizable body of Catholics become convinced that the Pope has become a heretic.

In either of these cases, the primary source of disintegration in the Church would be that the Church, as designed by Her Master, lacks any earthly authority other than the pope to settle the issue decisively. As Fr. Martin expresses it,

“There is no official mechanism within the structure of the Church that is authorized to pass judgment on pope and papacy. Indeed, the Church’s official code of ecclesiastical law, canon law, expressly denies to anyone the right or duty of passing official judgment on pope or papacy.”

Now, that is, admittedly, a contentious subject and I do not expect to be allowed to let it stand. I am merely quoting Father Malachi Martin here. But perhaps most readers will agree, that even if there were a few Bishops and Cardinals who still had a staunch enough faith to stand up publicly and confront the Pope on these issues, [Such as the four Cardinals of the Dubia]  the Pope and his faction would simply rally their defenses – which are legion!

Then, do you think everything would just settle down nicely and the faith would be restored? No, the result would still be a shattered Church. Because the Pope is the key.

As we see, both of these “possibilities” foretold by Fr. Martin have come to pass, to varying extents.

The papal election has been cast into doubt, first by Ivereigh’s book and then by Cardinal Danneels, head of the so-called St. Gallen Mafia himself. And there is certainly no dearth of heretical statements and actions from this unfortunate pope. And so now, we have the catastrophe of many Catholics confused and arguing against each other, widespread disunity, a Church torn asunder. But there is an even more serious threat, the third possibility, which we alluded to in our post, “The Judas Factor and Pope Francis”.

The Danneels Effect

Pope Francis and Cardinal Danneels who placed him in office. Engineers of Destruction.

“The family, while maintaining its primary space in education (cf. Gravissimum Educationis, 3), cannot be the only place for teaching sexuality.” (Final Report of the Synod on the Family)

The Final Report  of the Synod includes a pernicious item that Catholics need to speak out about. From a recent report by Voice of the Family,  the Synod’s Final Report contains a portion that  “undermines Catholic teaching on the rights and duties of parents as the primary educators”.

“257 Synod Fathers voted on Saturday to approve a paragraph in the Relazione Finale of the Ordinary Synod on the Family which rejects the right of parents to choose to be the sole educators of their children in sexual matters.

The sentence, in paragraph 58 of the document, reads:

“The family, while maintaining its primary space in education (cf. Gravissimum Educationis, 3), cannot be the only place for teaching sexuality.”

This is directly contrary to the teaching of the Catholic Church which is that the family can be the only place for teaching sexuality if that is the choice that the parents make.”

Voice of the Family charges that “The Relazione Finale reflects the agenda of the international institutions.” It should be noted that it also reflects, the hand of Cardinal Godfried Danneels. Here’s a bit of insight on that:

Itching Ears

For there shall be a time, when they will not endure sound doctrine; but, according to their own desires, they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears: [4] And will indeed turn away their hearing from the truth, but will be turned unto fables. (2 Timothy, 4,3).

In previous posts, we spoke of the warning of Father Gabriele Amorth, unless the Pope and Bishops consecrate Russia as requested by the end of October, the Chastisement will occur soon after. That, like all spiritual warnings must be understood within the context in which it is spoken. Since it refers to the Consecration of Russia, the context is Our Blessed Mother’s Message of Fatima. That is to say, the call for a renewal of penance and the Rosary among the faithful. For unless the faithful Catholics in sufficient numbers renew their efforts to obey in humility and true contrition, the Pope and hierarchy will not be able to repent and obey the Blessed Virgin.

Now, as 2015 draws to a close and October and November pass without the expected “fire from heaven” the multitudes of shallow and lukewarm catholics will return to their constant facebooking, twittering and endless search for ever more titillating prophecies, ignoring the by-now trite and “outdated” call to humble themselves, turn from their sins and do penance. And so the Pope and his backers, the “St. Gallen Mafia” of Danneels, Kasper et al, will proceed to gut the faith, offending God ever more.

Many catholics, perhaps even most, do not grasp that the immense falling away from the faith is the Chastisement. They do not see that the perversion of the doctrine and practice of the faith, the perversion of the liturgy of the Mass and the sacraments, and the lustful perversion of the priests, Bishops and Cardinals is a horrendous Chastisement. Indeed, the majority of Catholics value the purity of the faith and the personal purity of consecrated souls so little that they take it all in stride. They, themselves have lost the sense of faith. They have therefore, the Church which they deserve.

Now, inasmuch as the great mass of Catholics is so unperturbed by this spiritual Chastisement, God will in His own good time, grant them a Chastisement of the material world, which seems to be the only chastisement which will catch their attention. But they will not see it coming, for they will be too caught up in worldly things. Even those who consider themselves faithful to the traditions of the faith, who seek for always more information, when we already have all we need. Ignoring the hard and humbling work of penance and prayer, especially the Rosary, which holds so little attraction for the overly active Catholics today, they will be caught unawares.

For those who seek prophecies, this site is replete with prophecies, but they are wasted on those who do not understand that all prophecies have but one end, to urge us back to the right path, as did Jesus from the very first of His public ministry, “Do penance, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

This post-synodal time is the very last, truly the last opportunity we shall be given to mitigate the disaster brought about by the Holy Fathers’ refusal to obey God’s own Mother’s message of Fatima. It appears as though we are all to pay a horrid price for the   faithlessness of the majority of Christians.

“Have in mind therefore in what manner thou hast received and heard: and observe, and do penance. If then thou shalt not watch, I will come to thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know at what hour I will come to thee.” (Apoc, 3, 3).

A Document to be Exploited

Bishop Fellay speaks on the final Synod document:

Bishop Bernard Fellay
Bishop Bernard Fellay

“The general impression that this document gives is of confusion, which will not fail to be exploited in a sense contrary to the constant teaching of the Church.”

Some clear, Catholic teaching.

Declaration Concerning the Synod on the Family

The Final Report of the second session of the Synod on the Family, published on October 24, 2015, far from showing a consensus of the Synod Fathers, is the expression of a compromise between profoundly divergent positions. Of course we can read in it some doctrinal reminders about marriage and the Catholic family, but we note also some regrettable ambiguities and omissions, and most importantly several breaches opened up in discipline in the name of a relativistic pastoral “mercy”. The general impression that this document gives is of confusion, which will not fail to be exploited in a sense contrary to the constant teaching of the Church.

This is why it seems to us necessary to reaffirm the truth received from Christ (1) about the role of the pope and the bishops and (2) about marriage and the family. We are doing this in the same spirit that prompted us to send to Pope Francis a petition before the second session of this Synod.

1. The Role of the Pope and the Bishops[1]
As sons of the Catholic Church, we believe that the Bishop of Rome, the Successor of St. Peter, is the Vicar of Christ, and at the same time that he is the head of the whole Church. His power is a jurisdiction in the proper sense. With regard to this power, the pastors, as well as the faithful of the particular Churches, separately or all together, even in a Council, in a Synod, or in episcopal conferences, are obliged by a duty of hierarchical subordination and genuine obedience.

God has arranged things in such a way that, by maintaining unity of communion with the Bishop of Rome and by professing the same faith, the Church of Christ might be one flock under one Shepherd. God’s Holy Church is divinely constituted as a hierarchical society, in which the authority that governs the faithful comes from God, through the pope and the bishops who are subject to him.[2]

When the supreme papal Magisterium has issued the authentic expression of revealed truth, in dogmatic matters as well as in disciplinary matters, it is not within the province of ecclesiastical organs vested with a lesser degree of authority—such as bishops’ conferences—to introduce modifications to it.

The meaning of the sacred dogmas that must be preserved perpetually is the one that the Magisterium of the pope and the bishops has taught once and for all, and it is never lawful to deviate from it. Hence the Church’s pastoral ministry, when it practices mercy, must begin by remedying the poverty of ignorance, by giving souls the expression of the truth that will save them.

In the hierarchy thus instituted by God, in matters of faith and magisterial teaching, revealed truths were entrusted as a Sacred Deposit to the apostles and to their successors, the pope and the bishops, so that they might guard it faithfully and teach it authoritatively. The sources that contain this Deposit are the books of Sacred Scripture and the non-written traditions which, after being received by the apostles from Christ Himself or handed on by the apostles under the dictation of the Holy Ghost, have come down to us.

When the teaching Church declares the meaning of these truths contained in Scripture and Tradition, she imposes it with authority on the faithful, so that they might believe it as being revealed by God. It is false to say that the job of the pope and the bishops is to ratify what the sensus fidei or the common experience of the ‘People of God’ suggests to them.

As we already wrote in our Petition to the Holy Father: “Our uneasiness is caused by something that Saint Pius X condemned in his Encyclical Pascendi: an alignment of dogma with supposed contemporary demands. Pius X and you, Holy Father, received the fullness of the authority to teach, sanctify and govern in obedience to Christ, who is the Head and the Shepherd of the flock in every age and in every place, whose faithful vicar the pope should be on this earth. The object of a dogmatic condemnation could not possibly become, with the passage of time, an authorized pastoral practice.”

This is what prompted Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre to write in his Declaration dated November 21, 1974: “No authority, not even the highest in the hierarchy, can force us to abandon or diminish our Catholic Faith, so clearly expressed and professed by the Church’s Magisterium for nineteen centuries. ‘But though we,’ says St. Paul, ‘or an angel from heaven preach a gospel to you besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema.’”[3]

2. Marriage and the Catholic Family
As for marriage, God provided for the increase of the human race by instituting marriage, which is the stable and perpetual union of a man and a woman.[4] The marriage of baptized persons is a sacrament, since Christ elevated it to that dignity; marriage and the family are therefore institutions that are both divine and natural.

The primary end of marriage is the procreation and education of children, which no human intention should prevent by performing acts contrary to it. The secondary end of marriage is the mutual assistance that the spouses offer to each other as well as the remedy to concupiscence.

Christ established that the unity of marriage would be definitive, both for Christians and for all mankind. This unity possesses an indissoluble character, such that the conjugal bond can never be broken, neither by the will of the two parties nor by any human authority: “What God hath joined together, let no man put asunder.”[5] In the case of the sacramental marriage of baptized persons, this unity and indissolubility are further explained by the fact that it is the sign of Christ’s union with His Bride.

Anything that human beings may decree or do against the unity or indissolubility of marriage is not in keeping with the requirements of nature or with the good of human society. Moreover, faithful Catholics have the serious duty not to join together solely by the bond of a civil marriage, without taking into account the religious marriage prescribed by the Church.

The reception of the Eucharist (or sacramental Communion) requires the state of sanctifying grace and union with Christ through charity; it increases this charity and at the same time signifies Christ’s love for the Church, which is united with Him as His only Spouse. Consequently, those who deliberately cohabit or even live together in an adulterous union, contrary to the laws God and of the Church, cannot be admitted to Eucharistic Communion because they are giving the bad example of a serious lack of justice and charity, and they are considered public sinners: “He that shall marry her that is put away committeth adultery.”[6]

In order to receive absolution for one’s sins within the framework of the Sacrament of Penance, it is necessary to have the firm resolution to sin no more, and consequently those who refuse to put an end to their irregular situation cannot receive valid absolution.[7]

In keeping with the natural law, man has a right to exercise his sexuality only within lawful marriage, while respecting the limits set by morality. This is why homosexuality contradicts natural and divine law. Unions entered into apart from marriage (cohabitation, adulterous, or even homosexual unions) are a disorder contrary to the requirements of the natural divine law and are therefore a sin; it is impossible to acknowledge therein any moral good whatsoever, even diminished.

Given current errors and civil legislation against the sanctity of marriage and the purity of morals, the natural law allows no exceptions, because God in His infinite wisdom, when He gave His law, foresaw all cases and all circumstances, unlike human legislators. Therefore so-called situation ethics, whereby some propose to adapt the rules of conduct dictated by the natural law to the variable circumstances of different cultures, is inadmissible. The solution to problems of a moral order must not be decided solely by the consciences of the spouses of or their pastors, and the natural law is imposed on conscience as a rule of action.

The Good Samaritan’s care for the sinner is manifested by a kind of mercy that does not compromise with his sin, just as the physician who wants to help a sick person recover his health effectively does not compromise with his sickness but helps him to get rid of it. One cannot emancipate oneself from Gospel teaching in the name of a subjectivist pastoral approach which, while recalling it in general, would abolish in on a case-by-case basis. One cannot grant to the bishops the faculty of suspending the law of the indissolubility of marriage ad casum, without running the risk of weakening the teaching of the Gospel and of fragmenting the authority of the Church. For, in this erroneous view, what is affirmed doctrinally could be denied pastorally, and what is forbidden de jure could be authorized de facto.

In this utter confusion it is now up to the pope—in keeping with his responsibility, and within the limits set on him by Christ—to restate clearly and firmly the Catholic truth quod semper, quod ubique, quod ab omnibus,[8] and to keep this universal truth from being contradicted in practice locally.

Following Christ’s counsel: vigilate et orate, we pray for the pope: oremus pro pontifice nostro Francisco, and we remain vigilant: non tradat eum in manus inimicorum ejus, so that God may not deliver him over to the power of his enemies. We implore Mary, Mother of the Church, to obtain for him the graces that will enable him to be the faithful steward of the treasures of her Divine Son.

The truth spoken clearly, unambiguously. Note that Bishop Fellay states that we pray for the Pope “that God may not deliver him over to the power of his enemies.” Pope Francis needs to grasp that Cardinal Danneels and his ilk are actually his enemies as they are enemies of all humanity. Pray for the Pope! Pray for the Church!

…and you will strike at her heel…

“… there are dogmas, like the Immaculate Conception which are not as important to the concrete lives of people, about which we are talking in the Synod.” (Bishop Semeraro, Secretary of Pope’s C9 Cardinal Advisors commenting on the Synod, see previous post)

Our popular guest poster, BVM Servant continues our series on the Message of Fatima in relation to this disastrous Synod by responding to Bishop Semeraro’s offensive remarks against the Immaculata.

A Bishop at the Synod on the Family (Rome, Oct, 2015) stated that the Immaculate Conception has no relevance to concrete lives of people [today]. He was alluding to the idea that Church should attend to significant pastoral needs not dogmatic statements. Let us strip away this strange comment, and what do we find? Whether from the person or from a diabolic spirit, surely the source of such a statement in the context of family is from the Devil himself.

This information followed hard on my discovering via a Catholic school History lesson (I have yet to investigate the motives of the Head of History for its inclusion in his lesson), an American Birth Control propaganda interview from 1926 in which a married woman explains why she and her husband delayed having children in their marriage and it came down to their enjoying each others company with reasonable wealth. Controlling when and in what circumstances children should be conceived according to a new found freedom spawned by material wealth. You may not see any connection, but perhaps you do.

The Family Synod, or those whose intention is as a wolf, is the fruit of a tree which began in Genesis and it’s not one planted by Our Lord. The Devil has been waiting for its fruition, and that is an attack on the ‘woman’. Our Lady of Fatima is that ‘woman’ and she has come to meet him in battle. One might say that Mary announced this at Lourdes in 1858, when she confirmed that infallible Catholic teaching four years earlier, that she is the Immaculate Conception (perhaps this spurred her enemy on, indeed Darwin is indirectly writing about the nature of man at this time – I believe evolutionary thought is at play at the Synod and thus not disconnected from the Bishop’s statement to which the present article is addressing – another article is needed to address this).

The Immaculate Conception is usually interpreted in light of the Incarnation and salvific history albeit with mention of the Motherhood of God in that regard. However, what we should draw from this teaching in today’s context is the profundity of sinless woman. If the Devil attacked Eve and won, he is sure to attack the new Eve and indeed scripture bears this out ‘he will strike at your heel’ (Gen 3:15). The typical modern woman is the woman who hears the whispers of new freedom, away from God and who is living out the first Eve’s fall in a new and terrible way. She has taken her sexuality and detached it from its fruit, her fruit is no longer a child but illusory freedom of this life but in doing this she is emulating Lucifer’s choice against God for whilst the Angel’s choice is instant, for woman its a choice made of a life span.

In all tactics, the Devil’s aim is to get human beings to ‘choose’ against God’s Will and so join him in his choice. To effect this he goes to the heart of family life, the woman. The Immaculate Conception, sinless woman is the antidote to this choice. She teaches woman to say ‘yes’ to God by losing her freedom in God’s Will which makes her free to live in the Truth. Such a choice means that her sexuality is fruitful and stems from the heart of her nature which is motherhood. This is why the Immaculate Conception is relevant to the concrete lives of people today.

What is more significant in the concrete lives of people today is that the Devil has manifested his voice at the Synod by citing the Immaculate Conception in the negative. He has announced his presence which signifies that he has gone not only to the heart of the woman, but the Church. By doing this he has shown that this battle is the most significant in Church History and therefore human history; indeed it is decisive and never seen before. The sin of Homosexuality is the worst of the fruit of the war on woman and signifies the final phase of the rotten tree’s life.

The Good News is that She will crush his head; and God’s Will will prevail against the gates of Hell. The hundred years war prophesied by Leo XIII is coming to a close, and as is recorded by Sister Lucia: ” ‘In time, one faith, one baptism, one Church, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic. In eternity, Heaven!’, This word Heaven filled my soul with peace and happiness, so that almost without realising it, I was repeating it for a long time.” Let us join in this refrain with the new woman, the new Eve, Our heavenly Mother who will restore health to the Catholic Church just as a mother would.”

Editor’s Note: Others have noted that the two major themes of this unfortunate Synod seem to be arrogance and homosexuality, and indeed, both are characteristics of Satan’s game plan against the Church. Arrogant pride is the quintessential hallmark of Satan. This pride is the driving force behind the Bergoglio/Kasper/Danneels faction’s insistence on allowing a false mercy to overthrow Christ’s own teaching on marriage.

The second theme, sodomy, is a chastisement which results from a debased human nature, once it allows blinding self-love to drive out the light of grace from a soul.  Sodomy can only take hold in a soul that is already weakened by self-indulgence and pride. Although the devil finds it a perfect tool for corrupting consecrated souls, even he is repulsed by it. This perversion among our arrogant churchmen is one of the severest chastisements that have befallen our Church and is a fairly dependable point on which to gauge the sense of the faith today. It is informative to see which of the media commentators are saddened by this travesty and which are not the least bit concerned over the novelty of Cardinals and Bishops proclaiming the “values” or even the “sacramental nature” of sins against nature.

As a side note, Matthew Cullinan Hoffman has prepared a very much needed translation of St. Peter Damian’s The Book of Gomorrah and St. Peter Damien’s Struggle Against Ecclesiastical Corruption. It is available in paperback and Kindle, and can be purchased through Lifesitenews or through Amazon. This book could not possibly come at a better time, and I highly recommend it.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, crush the head of Satan and restore the Church!

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle!

St. Godfried Danneels pray for us!

According to the “locutions” of Father Stefano Gobbi, the Mother of God commands Catholics:

“Above all you must be united with the Pope, whom Christ has placed as the foundation of his Church. Today only those who remain united to the Pope can be saved in the faith. Listen to him; follow him; spread his teaching with courage.” (purported locution of the Mother of God to Father Stefano Gobbi)

St. Godfried Danneels, pray for us!
St. Godfried Danneels, pray for us!

In a recent post, Thoughts of a Dry Brain”  I wrote about a watershed (for me) moment when I openly admitted to a prominent member of our local Latin Mass community and to the Novus Ordo priest that says the Mass there, that I support the SSPX, that is, contribute to them and attend Chapel there, when I am able to.

I received no response from the lady who sent me the video that started it all. Although I am fairly sure word has gotten around. Father X emailed a response yesterday, it was pleasant and cordially advised me that, regarding SSPX,

“The masses they celebrate are valid but attending them is illicit because they are in schism with the Holy See. There is an issue of sin and disobedience to the Holy Mother Church. While I cannot stop you from attending (SSPX) and other such like churches, there is an issue of obedience to the Catholic Church and the Supreme Pontiff, Pope Francis. …the fact remains that Rome has given a directive to be in communion with the Holy See. The SSPX group is not in communion with Rome.”

[Note: The Diocesan priest mentioned above publicly declared me in a state of persistent grave sin and refused me the sacraments, simply for attending SSPX Chapel. This is the same priest who installed an ATM in the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception which he oversees.]

Regarding criticism of Pope Francis, Father X attached a letter from the head of the Marian Movement of Priests, a Father Geremias and told me to read it prayerfully. The letter:

RE: MMP and Popes, past and present

Because of the present confusion, even among the members of the MMP, I write to strengthen and encourage those of you who are faithful to Pope Francis, and to reach out to those of you who may have doubts.

The Act of Consecration was given to Fr. Gobbi by the Blessed Mother, for the members of the MMP throughout time. We must keep this consecration as it was given to us. This is what we pledge: “We further promise you to be united with the Holy Father…” In the messages, there are numerous references in which the Blessed Mother insists upon our obedience, our support, our love and our prayers for the Holy Father. I quote the following, which are just a few out of many:

#108
w How can the Mother publicly criticize the decisions of the Pope, when he alone has the special grace for the exercise of this sublime ministry?

x  I was silent at my Son’s voice; I was silent at the voice of the Apostles. I am now lovingly silent at the voice of the Pope: that it might be disseminated more and more, that it might be heard by all, that it might be received into souls.

y  This is why I am very close to the person of this first of my beloved sons, the Vicar of my Son Jesus.

B Return, return, my priest-sons, to love, obedience and communion with the Pope!

D Only in this way can you hear my orders, which I will give through the very voice of the Pope.

#293gh

h   Above all you must be united with the Pope, whom Christ has placed as the foundation of his Church. Today only those who remain united to the Pope can be saved in the faith. Listen to him; follow him; spread his teaching with courage.

#253bc

c   The virtue which I love most in my priest-sons is that of obedience. Today, you must be an example to everyone, by obeying with joy your superiors, especially the Pope.

The conclusion to be drawn is that we must believe the words of the Gospel in which Jesus promised Peter and his successors that “the gates of Hell will not prevail.” There are those who believe more in some diabolical self-proclaimed visionaries or in other prophecies, than in the words of the Gospel. Jesus said it clearly: “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority.”

Some people are objecting to the Pope’s teachings because of what is reported by the secular and even sometimes by the catholic media. I encourage you to read his original talks and not the summaries as reported by others who may be biased. We must warn all those who reject Pope Francis that they are in heresy and are cutting themselves off from the Catholic faith. They increase the sorrow of Our Blessed Mother.

Those will never fall who are always with the Pope. (#106p)

Pope Francis and Mercy

…. Oh, please, let us pray for those who are acting like the older brother of the Prodigal Son by questioning the words and actions of our Holy Father. At a Lenten penance service in St. Peter’s Basilica on March 13, Pope Francis announced an extraordinary jubilee, a Holy Year of Mercy, to highlight the Catholic Church’s “mission to be a witness of mercy.” The special year will take place Dec. 8, 2015 until Nov. 20, 2016. The pope emphasized a frequent theme of his: “No one can be excluded from God’s mercy.” He continued during his homily: “I frequently have thought about how the church can make more evident its mission to be a witness of mercy.” According to St. Paul, Mercy is the highest attribute of God. Remember that the Blessed Mother promised that her Triumph will coincide with the Triumph of Divine Mercy! We should see a correlation.

The Synod

Pope Francis has to listen to all the members of the Synod. Error must be identified before condemning it. Pope Francis has always sincerely asked for prayer. We must intensify our prayers for him, to keep the church unified. The Evil One has managed to bring about confusion, even among good people. Listen well to what the Blessed Mother told us:

“My Adversary has dared to attack the Most Holy Trinity, obscuring its great work of love and of glory…He keeps aflame the confrontation with the Pope, whom Jesus set in the Church as the center of unity and as the guardian of truth.” (May 13, 1980, #200 e,g )

t [Satan] makes you believe that the Pope is denying the truth, and thus Satan demolishes the foundation on which the Church is built and through which the truth is kept intact throughout the ages. (#108t)

In times of confusion, we need to cling to Holy Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the teachings of the Fathers of the Church (the Tradition), Jesus’ presence in the Eucharist and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

Dear brothers and sisters of the MMP, I am sure that most of you already are aware of what I have said. As I stated at the beginning, I write to strengthen you who are faithful to the Holy Father, and to reach out to those of you who may have doubts. The Blessed Mother promised: “No external interference will ever be able to harm this work of mine [my Movement] which I am jealously bringing to birth for the salvation of my Church.”

(48f) This is the time to invoke her and to ask her to help us to be faithful to the spirit of her Marian Movement of Priests.

Most sincerely in Jesus and Mary,

Fr. Francis Geremia cs

My comment on Father X’s letter. There is sufficient information available to refute Father’s allegations against the Society of St. Pius X, so I will not  beat that dead horse. He then instructed me to read the letter from Father Geremia “prayerfully”, which clearly means to abide by it. needless to say, I will no longer attend Father X’s TLM. Perhaps I should not have done it, that is, not revealed my support for SSPX. It would have been safer. But would not have been honest. I had a naive hope that my doing so would bring the issue into the open, and perhaps the Novus Ordo trads (who love the Latin Mass but hate Archbishop Lefebvre, the saintly man who made it possible) would see the SSPX in a clearer light. I failed.

Comment on Father Geremia’s letter: Until this point, I was not familiar with Father Geremia but was somewhat familiar with the false “revelations” of poor, confused Father Gobbi. I lumped them in with Luisa Piccarreta and Medjugorje and thought no more about them. But the letter forced me to take a new look, and I’m just too discouraged right now to write properly on it. Father Gobbi may have been a pious soul, but those revelations were definitely not Our Lady of Fatima. And  just think –  this auditory illusion commands faithful Catholics to blind obedience to the Popes, who have disobeyed her! in fact, there are credible sources who quote Father Gobbi as stating that the Mother of God told him that the Consecration had not been performed as requested.

If we are to believe Father Geremia, our new Litany of the Saints of the Synod, will have the names of Saints Danneels, Kasper, Marx, Baldisseri, Forte and that sweet dear man Battista Ricca. For these men wholeheartedly embrace Pope Francis. What say, we all just canonize Pope Francis right now? Who needs miracles, we have the Mother of God herself endorsing him! What strange theology is behind these “locutions”!

There are literally thousands of priests throughout the world who follow this Father Gobbi and will take what Father Geremia says as gospel. Please continue to pray for our priests.

As a footnote, the title, “Thoughts of a Dry Brain” was a reference to Eliot’s Gerontion.

The Gospel of Mercy and the Synod

“We need you to create a more inclusive church; you are our saviours. (…) The Church did the same work with migrants and subsequently society began to change. (…) Now, Pope Francis needs us. He has cast aside the doctrine and has taken up the Gospel of mercy, peace and love. Please help us!” – Bishop Vera López speaking at the so-called LGBT Pre-Synod Conference held October 3.

Today, we merely offer a scattering of excerpts from various blogs:

Zenit:

Fr. Rosica gave some initial observations. First of all the brevity of the interventions has helped foster clarity of expression. “If you can’t say it in three minutes, then you can’t say it. And the three minutes have been very productive. They say what they want to say,” he said. [Funny, how that limitation never applies to Synod manipulators.]

… Regarding the idea of divorced remarried Catholics being able to receive communion, he noted how some assert it would be more difficult to come up with a universal response, but instead makes sense to come up with a regional treatment. He said it may make sense to examine and perhaps treat the situation on a more local, regional, even continental level. [Thus breaking up the unity of the Church still further.]

Certain other issues, he shared, may also make sense to consider locally, such as polygamy. [Makes perfect sense, if your desire is to destroy the faith in Africa, the one place that it is thriving.]

From LifesiteNews, coverage of Synod Day 2 press briefing:

Archbishop Celli told reporters asking about the issue (of admitting re-married divorcees to Holy Communion) that “it is an open question.” Commenting specifically on Erdo’s report, Celli said, “We can’t say everything was closed by the report of yesterday morning.” [What persistence-this, despite 2,000+ years of teaching to the contrary!]

Later, Archbishop Durocher also suggested the question was up for debate when asked if the matter pertained to Church discipline – which could potentially change – or doctrine, which is fixed.

“To be quite honest, there might be differences of opinion on that,” he said. “Let’s be honest. Is that a question of doctrine or is that a question of discipline? I think that’s probably going to be one of the questions that will be debated in the small groups.”

“If you want doctrine, go read Denzinger,” he added. [Now that is mercy in action!]

Hilary White’s Synod Blog:

Father Brian Harrison, citing Rorate Caeii’s Report notes,

If this news is accurate, the Synod is shaping up to be a revolutionary take-over bid, organized in such a way as to impose virtual silence on Fathers who uphold the bimillennial doctrine and discipline reaffirmed by Pope St. John Paul II in Familiaris Consortio, and to turn this three-week gathering into a rubber stamp by which Pope Francis, who has already personally appointed 45 of the Fathers, imposes his will on the Synod under the guise of seeking its advice. Now, this is a Pontiff whose carefully crafted public image is one of humility, ‘listening’, mercy, and open dialogue with all! (Frankly, his style seems more like the iron fist in a velvet glove: it smacks of the populist but authoritarian peronista style of government that the young Jorge Bergoglio observed – and openly admired – in his native Argentina.) [We are beginning to see how FrancisMercy works, on a very practical level.]

Again, from Rorate Caeli:

The other interesting news of the day is that the sole German-language group, the Germanicus, asked to move out of its meeting place, because its windowless place in the first day smelled bad and had “foul air”. Sulfur, we presume?… Indeed, the group includes luminaries of orthodoxy such as Cardinals Kasper and Marx, and Bishop Bode…

Today, they met in the Palace of the Holy Office, hosted by Prefect Cardinal Müller, who provided much needed light and fresh air.

At this point, unless there is a Divine intervention, Pope Francis and his backers, Cardinals Kasper and Danneels, will have successfully pulled off a coup which we have been fearing ever since that black day, March 13, 2013, the irreversible change of the Catholic Faith. i pray that the few remaining good prelates at this Synod of Sin will walk out and refuse to lend credibility to this diabolical farce.

Please, pray the Rosary and confound satan and his minions in the Synod.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.

On Golgotha 2015

Since March 13, 2013, the Passion of Christ’s Mystical Body is right in front of us. As Pope Leo XIII prophesied, the wicked dragon is pouring out,

“as a most impure flood, the venom of his malice on men of depraved mind and corrupt heart, the spirit of lying, of impiety, of blasphemy, and the pestilent breath of impurity, and of every vice and iniquity.

“These most crafty enemies have filled and inebriated with gall and bitterness the Church, the spouse of the immaculate Lamb, and have laid impious hands on her most sacred possessions. In the Holy Place itself, where has been set up the See of the most holy Peter and the Chair of Truth for the light of the world, they have raised the throne of their abominable impiety, with the iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been struck, the sheep may be scattered. “

The Passion of the Mystical Body of Christ
The Passion of the Mystical Body of Christ

In the holy month of Our Lady’s Rosary last year, Pope Francis committed an offense against God that still cries out to Heaven for vengeance. He called together a Synod of Bishops, ostensibly to address the challenges that face Catholic families. However, it is clear now, the pope and the people who placed him in office were carrying out a malicious agenda. At the close of that last Synod, Pope Francis gained the unique distinction of becoming the first pope in the history of the faith to insist on the inclusion of pro-sodomy language in an official Church document – an unheard of affront to the Holy Bride of Christ.

“Homosexuals have gifts and qualities to offer to the Christian community”. Followed by a question to the bishops of the whole world: “are we capable of welcoming these people, guaranteeing to them a fraternal space in our communities?“ This is the language of FrancisChurch. It is certainly not, and cannot ever be – the language of the Holy Catholic Church.

And now we shall have the final stage of this farcical Synod, where reports of the conclusions are prepared before the Bishops even have an opportunity to discuss the issues, much less come to conclusions. The Moto Proprios establishing no-fault annulments (“catholic divorce”) have obviated the Synod; and the German Bishops under Marx have already issued their ultimatum establishing the “right” of those living defiantly in persistent mortal sin to add Eucharistic sacrilege to their burden of sins.

The powers behind the Pope, Cardinals Kasper and Danneels are both 82 years old and desperately aware that they are reaching the end of their time. They are in a dead heat to see their vision of the Church foisted on the world. Now, they have a Pope after their own image, the Most Humble and Merciful Pope Evah®, they are becoming impatient and a bit sloppy in their eagerness to push their agenda. Catholics have learned a lot since the previous Synod. They have been alerted by the excellent reporting of many vatican watchers and this Synod will not slip under the radar.

The faithful were blindsided at the 2014 Synod; no one expected the Pope would override his own Bishops. Last time around, no one expected that the Bergoglio/Kasper/Danneels faction would arrogantly prepare a mid term report of the proceedings (relatio) before the Bishops had even discussed the items. No one expected the Pope would retain the controversial and rejected paragraphs in the final report in violation of the Synod’s own rules. But it is different now. Catholics around the world are awakening to the agenda pushed by these vulgar, arrogant men.

All across the world, the Catholic faithful are taking note. Although many Catholics are just beginning to get a glimmer of the true extent of the catastrophe, many of our priests now know what is at stake and have become aware of their ordinaries’ complicity in the erosion of the Faith. Many have made great sacrifices in order to learn and offer the true Mass; they have stood their ground against militant progressive laity, against those who invaded the sanctuaries after Vatican II.

To all the weak and effeminate Bishops, know this: the faithful are watching you, and this time they will not be cowed by demands to obey prelates who themselves are disobedient to God’s clear teachings on marriage and the sacraments. Unlike the Second Vatican Council and the earlier Synod, This is the time for the faithful laity and priests to come to the defense of the Church, by observing and alerting others, and by prayer, and penance.

As so often happens, Rorate just posted a really nice article that goes very well with this one. Here is the link:

“The Mass, Prayer, the Rosary, nothing else can prevail”. From Lord of the World, by Msr. Robert Hugh Benson:

“Holy Father—the mass, prayer, the rosary. These first and last. The world denies their power: it is on their power that Christians must throw all their weight. All things in Jesus Christ—in Jesus Christ, first and last. Nothing else can avail. He must do all, for we can do nothing.”

Knowing that is the beginning of wisdom, no matter what the age we are living in !

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death.
Pray the Rosary and confound the devil!
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
