The Centenary of Fatima and the Passion of the Church

Father Malachi Martin was bound, unfairly he believed, but nevertheless bound by an oath against revealing the Third Secret, or more properly, the third portion of the Secret of Fatima. But this chafed him so that he increasingly indicated insights into the secret’s meaning as time went by and the devil’s own chaos increased in the Church. It must have been a terrible burden to know that if only he were able to speak out, so many souls might have repented and been saved! But Father took solace in obedience, knowing as he did that it was by way of the arrogant disobedience of Popes that this assault from hell came about.

And so, even though bound by his oath, Father allowed certain insights. If we review all the hints he gave us in his books and interviews, they fall into a pattern roughly consisting of three portions,

  1. A material chastisement
  2. A spiritual chastisement
  3. The action of Russia in both chastisements.

Frère Michel de la Sainte Trinité  also believed that Russia was the key player in both the physical and spiritual events of the chastisement. Additionally,  Frère Michel stressed that the physical chastisements began with the Second World War and since Russia has not been consecrated properly – and thus cannot be exorcised of Satanic control – the ongoing war will only continue, eventually enveloping the entire world with one horrific conflagration of intense terror. The force behind this will of course, be Russia, or more precisely, satanic marxism.

Satanic marxism is also behind the spiritual chastisement which continues apace until the Church is eventually reduced to a very small  and seemingly impotent remnant. There should be little doubt that Pope Francis is a satanic marxist and is the Pope that Father Malachi Martin alluded to as the last pope of this era and who would be under the control of Satan. It has been said before that the Age of Apostasy began with Martin Luther and will end with Luther’s own Pope. That would appear to be Francis.  St. Hildegard has told us what to expect of this pope and Blessed Elizabeth Canori Mora has also warned us of what is to come.

In a previous post we quoted Antonio Socci’s account of Pope Benedict’s revelation at Fatima in 2010:

But a resounding explicit confirmation came from Benedict XVI himself, who, during an unexpected pilgrimage to Fatima on May 13, 2010, affirmed: “He deceives himself who thinks that the prophetic mission of Fatima is concluded.”

He added: “there are indicated future realities of the Church which little by little are manifesting themselves… and therefore it is the sufferings of the Church which are announced.”

But could such prophecies be found in that text [of the vision]?

These two phrases of the Pope in that discourse at Fatima prompt reflection:

“Man has the power to unleash a cycle of death and terror, but he is not able to stop it.” And then: “The faith in vast regions of the earth risks being extinguished, like a flame without fuel.”

From these words of Pope Benedict one discerns, therefore, that there is truly something else in the Third Secret and that it is dramatic for the world and the Church. The volume in fact draws from the letters of Sister Lucia and from the unpublished diary “My Way.” Impressive among things previously unpublished, is the account of how Sister Lucy overcame the terror that prevented her from writing down the Third Secret.

The Unpublished Account

At around 4 p.m. on January 3, 1944, in the chapel of the convent, before the Tabernacle, Lucia asked Jesus to make known His will: “I then felt a friendly hand, maternal and affectionate, touch my shoulder.”

And the Mother of God said to her: “be at peace, and write what I have commanded you, but not, however, that which has been given to you to understand its meaning,” intending to allude to the meaning of the vision which the Virgin herself had revealed.

Immediately afterward, said Sister Lucia, “I felt my spirit inundated by a mystery of light that is God and in Him I saw and heard: the point of a lance like a flame that is detached, touches the axis of the earth, and it trembles: mountains, cities, towns and villages with their inhabitants are buried. The sea, the rivers, the clouds, exceed their boundaries, inundating and dragging with them, in a vortex, houses and people in a number that cannot be counted. It is the purification of the world from the sin in which it is immersed. Hatred, ambition, provoke the destructive war.

After I felt my racing heart, in my spirit a soft voice said: ‘In time, one faith, one baptism, one Church, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic. In eternity, Heaven!’ This word ‘Heaven’ filled my heart with peace and happiness in such a way that, almost without being aware of it, I kept repeating to myself for a long time: Heaven, Heaven.” (Antonio Socci)

From this came the strength to write the Third Secret. …

January 28, 2017

With yesterday’s repost, we renew our discussion of Apocalypse 8 in order to examine an intriguing quote from Sister Lucia. When asked to comment on the Third Secret she suggested that we faithful read the Apocalypse, especially Chapters 8  through 13. Several Popes have also indicated that the message of Fatima is apocalyptic, as has Father Malachi Martin. In fact, it is quite possible that by reviewing Chapters 8 through 13 we may even gain some insight into what this Pope of Surprises has in store for us; what do you think?

And now we continue with Part 3, which has been updated and much new material added:

“And the second angel sounded the trumpet: and as it were a great mountain, burning with fire, was cast into the sea, and the third part of the sea became blood:  And the third part of those creatures died, which had life in the sea, and the third part of the ships was destroyed.” (Apoc. 8, 8-9)

Our last post in this series, Fatima, Vatican II and the Chastisement 2, did not fully address the verse above. I appreciate that this was pointed out to me. We did mention the common opinion that the burning mountain referred to Islam, but did not note the fact that it may also, and much more probably, refer to Russia. Indeed, Our Lady’s last appearance at Fatima on October 13, 1917, was just days prior to the Bolshevik Revolution of November 7, 1917.

Yes, as Father Sylvester Berry points out in his book, The Apocalypse of St. John, the burning mountain is most certainly a country and with the hindsight we have now, 100 years after Our Lady of Fatima warned that if Russia was was not consecrated,  she (Russia) “will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions against the Church. The good will be martyred; the Holy Father will have much to suffer; various nations will be annihilated.”  Fr. Berry:  “The vision shows that, despite the preaching of the Gospel, some great nation will bring war and bloodshed upon a large portion of mankind. It also predicts great persecutions against the Church. Nations will seek to destroy the Church at all hazards.”

In another earlier post, Islam and the Errors of Russia, we explored the connection between the two evils, Islam and Russia. This will all be clear soon, as the chastisement reveals its contours more clearly. But for now, just note: Blessed Elena Aiello prophesied in the year 1960 (note well the date.) that “Russia will battle America and will overcome Europe. … will raise her flag over the Dome of St. Peter’s.”  Indeed, some have noted that with Pope Francis, we already have a marxist pope, who owns a symbol of the errors of Russia, that is, a hammer and sickle on which Christ Our Saviour hangs, crucified.

Additionally, Sister Lucia herself told Dr. William Walsh, in answer to his inquiry whether the United States of America would be overcome by Communism unless the Consecration was done, “Yes”.

Let’s continue with Father Berry’s remarks on the end of Chapter 8:

A Progressive Accumulation of Evils

“The prophecies of this chapter have been fulfilled many times in the past. No doubt they will often be verified in the future. It should be noted, however, that a progressive accumulation of evils is predicted. At first, it affects individuals only (Apoc. 8: 7). Then a nation or an entire church is involved (Apoc. 8: 8), and a number of great heretics fall away from the Faith (Apoc. 8: 10). Finally, the whole Church suffers from a weakening of Faith and discipline (Apoc. 8: 12). This gradual progression of evil, this “mystery of iniquity” (2 Thess. 2: 7), which was working even in the days of St. Paul will finally usher in the Antichrist. … Whatever interpretation be adopted, there can be no doubt that this verse heralds the beginning of a new and important epoch in the history of the Church.”

This quote is from Father Sylvester Berry’s essential book, “The Apocalypse of St. John”.  As we continue with this series, keep in mind that God our Father has given us His own Son for our Savior and the Blessed Virgin Mary for our Mother and will sustain us in all our needs. The times are approaching when when must hold firm to this faith.

Grace has fled

Grace has fled from the Church and from the world.

In his prophetic book, “The Vatican”, Father Malachi Martin tells us through his protagonist, Cardinal Lansing:

“Grace is the first fruit of the Spirit (that) Christ sent into the world. If grace has fled, it is because we have made its bearer unwelcome. Now, like John of the Cross, we must work in our very souls to make it welcome again – not as a visitor merely, but as chief resident in this Church. … Most of all, We must pray. And we must do penance. And then pray some more. And do still more penance. … Unless  we do that, then in all our strategies and plans to outwit our enemies we will be just as they are. And if that happens, there will be no reasons any longer to fight them. They will have won, no matter who ends up with the power.”

In his semi-fictional bestseller,  “The Vatican”,  Fr. Martin reveals to us the way that the secret societies behind international banking gained control over the Church and nearly brought her to destruction.  The hero, Father Richard “Rico” Lansing, eventually becomes Cardinal, then in a dramatic turn of events, he is nominated for the papacy. He explains the “Bargain” which allows international freemasonry (described as the “International Assembly”) to control the Vatican finances.

Speaking to the Cardinals in conclave, Cardinal Lansing says,

“Our struggle is and always has been over one thing: power. Not the power of classes. Not ecclesiastical or social or political power. But the very same power St. Paul singled out at the very beginning of Rome’s history. The power of one brilliant fallen Archangel and his hordes. The power of darkness.

“And as that Apostle pointed out, our struggle with that power can be waged only with the weapons given to us by Christ, whose servants we are. Moral power is ours. Spiritual power is ours. That is all. And that is enough.”

Lansing then reviewed the papacies of the past five popes of his time, fictional counterparts of Pius XII, John XXIII, Paul VI, John Paul I and John Paul II. He continued,

“Marking the pontificates of each of those men was one fatal error, the use of their spiritual office to obtain leverage in the political, and diplomatic, and civic, and cultural worlds; and then using that leverage instead of the spiritual power and moral authority that was uniquely theirs.”

“And here, Your Eminences, we are at the root cause of our pain, our struggle, and our own deathly peril: our failure and the failure of our popes, to use the Church’s spiritual power to exercise its moral authority.”

Father Martin, through the character Cardinal Lansing then makes the point that eleven pontiffs were given the Bargain to sign and all did so. “Each of these pontiffs mortgaged the power of Christ’s Church to the power of Mammon.”  …

“This Bargain is about power. … Under the Holy Spirit of Christ, you are here to decide only one thing: on whom that same Spirit should confer that plenitude of divine power which Christ conferred on Peter the Apostle, and has conferred on all of Peter’s successors in this diocese of Rome. Power to forgive. Power to obligate. Power to teach. Power to decide the right and the wrong of all human affairs. Power for the peace of God. Power to war on God’s enemies. Power despite weakness. Power in the absence of holiness.”

“If any one of our popes, if any of us, or those who came before us, had used our power, Christ’s power in us, with half the zeal and dedication as the Assembly had used its power, the entire history of the Church and the world in the twentieth century would have been different. … Once and for all, then, let us refuse to … strike yet another bargain … with the world. A bargain by which we obligate ourselves to make the Church as like as possible to the world around it. … Because in this whole cosmos there can be no bargain, even a temporary one, between God and Mammon, … between God’s Church and God’s enemies.”

Frère Michel on the Age of Apostasy, updated

Before we return to the Apocalypse, let’s put a few pieces together. Father Malachi Martin and Frère Michel de la Sainte Trinité could have had an interesting discussion, couldn’t they? You all know very well Father Martin’s writings about the enthronement which occurred in the reign of Paul VI. Let’s keep it in mind as we review what Frère Michel tells us here:

From The Whole Truth About Fatima, Vol. III

It is Jesus Himself Who first predicted this terrible crisis of the Faith which will open the “last times”. Along with famines and earthquakes, wars and persecutions, Our Lord clearly predicts that there will also be grave deficiencies even within the Church:

«Then they will deliver you up to tribulation, and will put you to death; and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will fall away, and will betray one another, and will hate one another. And many false prophets will arise, and will lead many astray. And because iniquity will abound, the charity of the many will grow cold. But whoever perseveres to the end, he shall be saved.» (Mt. 24: 9-13)

«… For false christs and false prophets will arise, and will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. Behold, I have foretold it to you.» (Mt. 24: 24)

Finally, we are familiar with these stupefying words of Jesus:

«Yet when the Son of man comes, will He find, do you think, faith on the earth?» (Lk. 18: 8)

This question of Our Lord, explained by His other prophecies on the last times – which are utterly definite and unconditional – takes on an even more dramatic resonance. The apostasy will come, Jesus evokes its most extreme extension, and He leaves us in uncertainty.

THE APOSTOLIC PREACHING

The Apostles understood this tragic teaching very well. There are countless texts where they evoke this menacing apostasy. They multiply warnings against its artisans, the false prophets and false doctors of all sorts, who come from the Church’s very bosom and are already at work against Her, striving furiously to destroy the Faith of the faithful. But “in the last days”, they make it clear, the false prophets will multiply most dangerously. We must reread chapters II and III of Saint Peter’s Second Epistle:

«But there were false prophets also among the people, just as among you there will be lying teachers who will bring in destructive sects. They even disown the Lord Who bought them, thus bringing upon themselves swift destruction.» (2 Pet. 2: 1)

«This first you must know, that in the last days there will come deceitful scoffers, men walking according to their own lusts, saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”… But beloved, do not be ignorant of this one thing, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord does not delay in His promises, but for your sake is long-suffering, not wishing that any should perish but that all should turn to repentance. (2 Pet. 3: 3-9)

We must reread Saint Jude, taking up the same theme:

The Destroyer Pope

A reader , Terry McCarthy, remarked on our last post,

“Regarding the current pontiff, I see the purpose of his almost daily heretical pronouncements as a way to destroy the concept of papal infallibility, and along with it, the immutability of doctrine. The fact that most Catholics do not seem to be much concerned about his heresies shows that they probably have already lost faith in the Church’s unchanging doctrine and are heretics themselves. The pope will soon be declared just another fallible church leader like the Anglicans’ Archbishop of Canterbury and all his declarations will be considered mere personal opinions subject to challenge by the “faithful”. Without the umbrella of infallibility, there is no genuine Vicar of Christ to unify the Church, thus Father Martin’s prophecy of the scattering of the sheep will be fulfilled.”

“…not a true pastor, but a destroyer.”

We wholeheartedly agree. This pope is the “destroyer pope” of prophecy. John Vennari has an excellent column on the demonic words and actions of Pope Francis, see here. And we have, in many previous posts, discussed the prophecies, both scriptural and from approved private revelations which foretell of just such a time as this. Just search on he category, Catholic prophecy in our search bar on the right side.

In fact, earlier this year, we covered a bit of it in our post, “The Judas Complex and Pope Francis”, where we remarked on this apostate pope’s “homily” wherein he described Judas as a “poor, repentant man”.

Thinking on this strange Pope’s even stranger affinity for Judas recalled to mind Father Malachi Martin’s writing about the Judas Complex among the Modernist Churchmen who infest the Church. His 1990 book, “The Keys of This Blood”, has a final portion titled “Coda, the Protocol of Salvation” which contains a fascinating analysis of the precise situation in which we find ourselves today, under a pope who asserts himself as more merciful and practical than Jesus Christ, whom he insists he represents. Indeed, as he himself reminds us, he is “by the will of Christ Himself – the supreme Pastor and Teacher of all the faithful”. And that he enjoys, “supreme, full, immediate, and universal ordinary power in the Church”.

In the earlier post, “The Judas Complex and Pope Francis”, we said,

What now?

When asked if it was possible for the Cardinals to elect a heretical Pope, Father Malachi Martin responded,

Yes, we could have an apostate as Pope. In that case, we would be into something terrible. We would be into something which is nightmarish. It would test the faith of the greatest saint. … Your faith would be battered to pieces. If that happens, they (The Kingdom of Darkness) would have the prize and everything would have to go underground. We are, indeed, on our way to becoming, as Paul VI described in his misery, an infinitesimally small part of humanity. (Fr. Malachi Martin)

In another quote,  Fr. Martin expanded on his prophecy about this pope:

Roman Catholics will then have the spectacle of a pope validly elected who cuts the entire visible body of the Church loose from the traditional unity and the papacy-oriented apostolic structure that the Church has hitherto always believed and taught was divinely established. The shudder that will shake the Roman Catholic body in that day will be the shudder of its death agony. … Many will accept the new regime. Many will resist. All will be fragmented. There will be no one on earth to hold the fractionating members of the visible Roman Catholic body together as a living compact organization.”

Admittedly, there are creditable doubts about the validity of Pope  Francis’s papacy, nevertheless, he is the current occupant. And he continues in his stated mission to make a mess of the Church. This past Thursday, this Pope of Affliction continued to prove that he is, in tragic fact, the Apostate Pope foretold by Fr. Martin those many years ago. At a recent address in St. John Lateran, the Bishop of Rome once again struck at the roots of the Church’s doctrine.

The Pope of Irreversible Change
The Pope of Irreversible Change

When asked about the “crisis in marriage”, Bergoglio responded with an anecdote about a young man who wanted to become a priest “but only for 10 years”, stating that, “it’s the culture of the provisional”. He then went on, “It’s provisional, and because of this the great majority of our sacramental marriages are null. Because they say “yes, for the rest of my life!” but they don’t know what they are saying.” He then added, “I’ve seen a lot of fidelity in these cohabitations, and I am sure that this is a real marriage, they have the grace of a real marriage because of their fidelity,…”

Note how he skillfully worked in doubts about the validity of Holy Orders while also undercutting the validity of Sacramental marriage! Clever, no? Although even Fox news has noticed that the Pope is doing incalculable harm to the Church and should be made to resign, the great number of catholics prefer to deny the obvious. I heard them described once as “those who gather butterflies on Mount Calvary”. Right at the scene of the crucifixion of the Bride of Christ, they are following illusions, intently ignoring the Passion of the Church. In an earlier post, we wrote of this,

“Since the vast majority of Catholics do not respond to the Chastisement of the faith, nor now, even the open and outright apostasy of the faith in this post-synodal Church of Mercy®, the “New Church” instituted by Pope Francis, God will most likely allow the final stages of the Chastisement. This will be the Chastisement of the material world, with immense suffering and in which the few survivors will envy the dead. But it will take most men by surprise because, since they refuse to follow the command of Our Lady for penance and prayer, their intellects and spirits are darkened. …”

This is the time foretold in the Apocalypse, as Sister Lucia warned us and many approved prophecies before her. The “great dragon, that old serpent, who is called the devil and Satan” will be cast out of the Church. As Malachi Martin warned us, this malignant force which currently controls the Vatican cannot be dislodged by human means. It is supernatural and draws its immense strength from the Lord of this World. In nearly 100 years, faithless and lukewarm catholics have failed to obey the warnings of our Lord Jesus Christ and His Mother, thus giving free rein to the evil entrenched in the Vatican.

What now? Two thoughts on this from two holy women:

From Blessed Elizabeth Canori Mora:

Behold, my daughter, such great ungodliness.” Blessed Elizabeth then saw “apostates brazenly trying to rip her most holy Son from her arms. Confronted with such an outrage, the Mother of God ceased to ask mercy for the world, and instead requested justice from the Eternal Father. Clothed in His inexorable Justice and full of indignation, He turned to the world. At that moment all nature went into convulsions, the world lost its normal order and was filled with the most terrible calamity imaginable. This will be something so deplorable and atrocious that it will reduce the world to the ultimate depths of desolation.”

From St. Hildegard von Bingen:

Before the Comet comes, many nations, the good excepted, will be scoured with want and famine. The great nation (*) in the ocean that is inhabited by people of different tribes and descent by an earthquake, storm and tidal waves will be devastated. It will be divided, and in great part submerged. That nation will also have many misfortunes at sea, and lose its colonies in the east through a Tiger and a Lion.

The Comet by its tremendous pressure, will force much out of the ocean and flood many countries, causing much want and many plagues. [After the] great Comet, the great nation (*) will be devastated by earthquakes, storms, and great waves of water, causing much want and plagues. The ocean will also flood many other countries, so that all coastal cities will live in fear, with many destroyed. All sea coast cities will be fearful and many of them will be destroyed by tidal waves, and most living creatures will be killed and even those who escape will die from a horrible disease. For in none of these cities does a person live according to the laws of God. “Peace will return to Europe when the white flower again takes possession of the throne of France.” [St. Hildegard von Bingen]

*Many believe this refers to USA.

Although there is no chance any longer of stopping or even mitigating the culmination of the Chastisement, we must return vigorously to the true message of Fatima. Right now, we must resolve to pray at a minimum, one Rosary a day for the specific intention of reparation for the blasphemies against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and for the Consecration of Russia. Our Lord told us that the Pope would do it, “but it will be late”. He also cautioned us to pray very much for the Pope. Once the current occupant is cleansed from the See of Peter, we may hope for the promised Holy Pope who will consecrate Russia and restore the Faith. but there will be much bloodshed and violence in the interim.

Jesus asked that we honor the Image of His Sacred Heart!

As a footnote, I have lost many readers through my opposition to the “Divine Mercy” devotion. For those who remain, I urge you to use Our Lady’s Rosary only for that use which she asked for, and to always keep in mind that Our Lord Jesus Christ requested that the image of His Sacred Heart be the object of devotion.

Therefore, to waste our time with novel devotions to a heartless image is a great offense to Him. Our Lady of Fatima warned us to stop offending Him. She repeated this at Akita, after the official Church attempted to silence her message at Fatima. She emphasized her warning by stating that fire would fall from the sky and the survivors would envy the dead.

Readers, I do not see how any of this could possibly be made any more clear. Catholics have become willfully blind and will follow one another to destruction. We must pray the Rosary, we must fast, do penance and beseech heaven right now for mercy. We are at Golgotha and the Church is in Her Passion. This is not the time to go wandering around in search of other “revelations”, other devotions which contradict the true devotions to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

For information on the Message of Fatima and the requisite devotions, please se our post: The Message of Fatima. Thank you.

Please, pray the Rosary and confound the devil!

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, in the Church and in our lives.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of the most Holy Rosary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death.

St. Joseph, protect our families.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.

~ by evensong, for love of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

Malachi Martin’s Three Possibilities

In this article, we are considering possibilities proposed by Father Malachi Martin for the present and near future of the Passion of the Church.
Make a mess!

Continuing with the Coda portion of Father Malachi Martin’s book, “The Keys of This Blood”, Fr. Martin lists three possibilities, actually weaknesses, which are likely to be exploited by the enemy within the Church to destroy her. Each of the three would serve to sow doubt and confusion and scandalize the faithful, effectively disintegrating the vital unity of the Church.

The first possibility is if a sizable body of Roman Catholics, clergy and laity, become convinced, rightly or wrongly, that Pope was not elected validly.

The second is similar; if a sizable body of Catholics become convinced that the Pope has become a heretic.

In either of these cases, the primary source of disintegration in the Church would be that the Church, as designed by Her Master, lacks any earthly authority other than the pope to settle the issue decisively. As Fr. Martin expresses it,

“There is no official mechanism within the structure of the Church that is authorized to pass judgment on pope and papacy. Indeed, the Church’s official code of ecclesiastical law, canon law, expressly denies to anyone the right or duty of passing official judgment on pope or papacy.”

Now, that is, admittedly, a contentious subject and I do not expect to be allowed to let it stand. I am merely quoting Father Malachi Martin here. But perhaps most readers will agree, that even if there were a few Bishops and Cardinals who still had a staunch enough faith to stand up publicly and confront the Pope on these issues, [Such as the four Cardinals of the Dubia]  the Pope and his faction would simply rally their defenses – which are legion!

Then, do you think everything would just settle down nicely and the faith would be restored? No, the result would still be a shattered Church. Because the Pope is the key.

As we see, both of these “possibilities” foretold by Fr. Martin have come to pass, to varying extents.

The papal election has been cast into doubt, first by Ivereigh’s book and then by Cardinal Danneels, head of the so-called St. Gallen Mafia himself. And there is certainly no dearth of heretical statements and actions from this unfortunate pope. And so now, we have the catastrophe of many Catholics confused and arguing against each other, widespread disunity, a Church torn asunder. But there is an even more serious threat, the third possibility, which we alluded to in our post, “The Judas Factor and Pope Francis”.

The Judas Complex and Pope Francis

Odd, isn’t it that Pope Francis has such a tender spot for Judas the betrayer of Christ?  In Monday’s (11/4/2016) homily at Msgr. Ricca’s residence, Pope Francis opined, “It hurts when I read that small passage from the Gospel of Matthew, when Judas, who has repented, goes to the priests and says: ‘I have sinned’ and wants to give … and gives them the coins. ‘Who cares! – they say to him: it’s none of our business!’ They closed their hearts before this poor, repentant man, who did not know what to do. And he went and hanged himself.” (Vatican Radio) [Note: Pope Francis really did call Judas a “poor, repentant man” !]

“…none of them is lost, but the son of perdition…”

To Francis, Judas “repented”, even though Judas never acknowledged his sin to Jesus Christ, who is the One whom he offended. For Francis, Judas’s worldly regret expressed to the “doctors of the law” was sufficient, ignoring Jesus entirely. Odd that this Vicar of Christ seems not to understand that the victim of every sin is Jesus Christ and reparation must be to Him.

So, Pope Francis teaches us, Judas was “this poor, repentant man”. Thus, once again Pope Francis is greater in mercy than Our Lord Jesus Christ, who prayed to His Father, shortly before Judas betrayed Him, “While I was with them, I kept them in Thy name. Those whom Thou gavest me have I kept; and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition, that the scripture may be fulfilled. (John 17, 12)

The term “Coda”  refers to something that ends a work, its completion, and not only refers to the end of the book, but also the completion of the modernist revolution in the Church. In the first chapter of Coda, Fr. Martin explains the Judas Complex, that is, the compromise engaged in by the worldly, pragmatic Judas, who was certain that he was destined to steer Jesus away from His impractical insistence on the spiritual at the expense of the “real concerns of those living in the real world”. Martin writes that initially, Judas was certain that he could, by a “decent compromise, ensure Jesus’ success in the world by compacting with the world’s leaders.”

Grace in the Reign of Francis

The Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary become even richer in meaning as we spend more time with them during Lent, and in this papacy all the more so! In the First Sorrowful Mystery, the Agony in the Garden we see Jesus confronting His persecutors who had been led to Him by Judas, the Patron for the current betrayers of Christ from their powerful positions within the hierarchy. As Jesus restored the ear of Malchus, He spoke to those who had come to destroy Him, “Are ye come out, as it were against a thief, with swords and clubs? When I was daily with you in the temple, you did not stretch forth your hands against Me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.” (Luke 22, 52-53)

“The chalice which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?”

We are now deep within this hour of darkness in the Passion of the Church, and so we shall find much to profit us in these Sorrowful Mysteries of Our Lady’s Rosary.

At the beginning of that first Passion, there was a terrible betrayal, and the Apostles fled, scandalized, into the darkness. Today, as the Pope and the whole corrupt edifice of the hierarchy  betray our Lord Jesus Christ and His Blessed Mother, Catholics are scattered. Some are indifferent to the scandal, some fall into sedevacantism, some simply fall away. Some few, however, watch and pray in the darkness, trusting in His promise.

Father Malachi Martin explained this situation in the Church in several interviews and in books, such as Windswept House and The Keys of His Blood. In one interview, transcribed into a small book called The Tempter’s Hour,” Fr. Martin explained that the crisis in the Church is a part of God’s plan for us. During Christ’s Passion, Our Blessed Mother did not rebel at God’s will in any way (contrary to what Pope Francis suggests), instead Mary willed it. Yes, she accepted God’s will most perfectly. In fact, Mary is our perfect model for the approach we must make to this time of the Passion of the Bride of Christ, His beloved and most holy Church.

Malachi Martin on the Apostasy of the Faith

Pope Francis to Eugenio Scalfari of La Repubblica, the Pope’s favorite newspaper: “this is bottom line result, the de facto appraisals are entrusted to the confessors, but at the end of faster or slower paths, all the divorced who ask will be admitted.” (Rorate Caeli)

The above is shocking, of course, even though we knew it was coming to this. But to help us get  some perspective, let’s take a brief look at what Malachi Martin predicted back in the 1990’s.

Years after his death, and despite the vicious campaign to malign his reputation, Father Malachi Martin continues to prove prescient in his diagnosis of the problems afflicting the Church.  Triumph Communications has a series of small books based on interviews Father Martin gave during the course of the last decade of his life. I have been reading several of them and believe them helpful in understanding the urgency of our current situation. Father Martin stressed way back in the 1990’s that we are in a time which is far, far worse than in any previous period of persecution in the Church.

Fr. Malachi Martin stated quite firmly that Popes John XXIII, Paul VI and John Paul II all failed to obey Our Lady of Fatima:

“These Popes did not carry out the mandate of the Queen of Heaven. She said, “All you bishops, together on one day, consecrate Russia to me. And Russia will be converted.” If this consecration had been done, Russia would have become Catholic, Marxism would have been finished and there would be no chastisements. But she also said, “If you don’t do this consecration, my Son is going to punish you all.” John XXIII, Paul VI, and John Paul II neglected this warning and command. …”

In explaining why the consecration still had not been done, Martin said that the reason, “goes all the way back to Lucifer. He simply has too much power among the prelates of the Church. He is able to neutralize the people who attempt something.”

Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.

The Hierarchy of the Church is in Apostasy

In “The Tempter’s Hour”, by Triumph Communications, Father Martin discussed his recently published book, “Windswept House”; affirming that “95% of the events (related in the book) are factual, but they are cloaked in novelistic form.” He stated that the primary theme of the book is, “The Roman Catholic Church …. is in apostasy.” Father went on to discuss the often used, misused and poorly understood terms, schismatic, heretic and apostate. I’ve taken the liberty of summarizing them below:

  • If you are schismatic, it means you fight over the Church’s power or jurisdiction.
  • If you are a heretic, you deny one or more doctrines taught by the Church. If you believe a heresy, it doesn’t mean you completely lost your faith, but it does mean you are very dangerously positioned to lose your faith.
  • But if you are an apostate, you deny basic truths of the Church, such as hell, divine grace, or personal sin, such as in reducing sin to merely social offenses.

Father Martin then stated:

“At the present moment  (1997) a sizable majority of Catholics are in apostasy. They have been led into apostasy by churchmen in apostasy. At least a sizable minority of cardinals, bishops, priests and religious are in apostasy. They no longer profess the basic truths of Christianity, let alone Catholicism.”

Now, nearly a generation later, it is clear that the “sizable minority” of apostate cardinals and bishops has become a majority.

He then compared the present situation with the heresies of the Protestant Revolt, noting that that neither Luther nor King Henry VIII denied truths such as heaven, hell, sanctifying grace or divine revelation. Their main error was claiming to be the magisterium.

“Today’s apostasy is worse than the Arian heresy … We are in a terrible situation where churchmen do not believe that Jesus is in the Blessed Sacrament. They don’t even believe that Jesus is God. And they go even further than that. A famous French Jesuit, Teilhard de Chardin, held that God didn’t become man, but that man is going to become God. … Some Cardinals hold that idea. They no longer believe in the Incarnation as we know it or the Resurrection as we know it. They are apostates and yet they are in charge. They are in charge of the Church!”

Father then noted that the majority of Catholics “are being lead by the nose out of the true faith and they don’t even know it. The bishop and his priests often say that it is alright if you are a homosexual, or are divorced and (civilly) re-married and come to the sacraments.” Once again, this was in 1997, and see how appropriate that is in light of the recent Kasperian synod.

The interviewer, Bernard Janzen, remarked that “one of the characteristics of the hierarchy is that they do not openly deny the doctrines and dogmas of the Faith; they simply act as though the doctrines do not exist. Father Martin confirmed that, “They live their lives as if the teachings don’t exist any longer.”

Father Martin then explained that a sub-theme of Windswept House is that,

“in a short time, humanly speaking, there will be no visible holy Roman Catholic Church organization.” He then repeated, for emphasis, “There won’t be any organization.” Further, “This is referred to as auto-demolition. [See here for more on this.] In the 1960’s there was this diabolcal consecration, this enthronement of Satan within the Vatican. … It is a historical fact. … done by Luciferians from all over the world and therefore, in a certain sense, Lucifer has power in Rome. He doesn’t own Rome yet, but I’m sure he hopes to own some future Pope so that the house will be truly his. The only man who can expel Lucifer from Rome is the owner of the house. And that owner is the Pope. It is the Pope that must carry out the exorcism, the cleaning of the house.”
