That the Church May Regain Her Splendor

Soon, we shall see another year’s commemoration of the sixth visit of Our Lady at Fatima, Portugal in 1917. There remains one final visit of Our Lady to come, but there are still several events yet to occur before that fateful day. For today, we focus on the words of a saintly prelate who devoted his life to counteracting the forces of revolution set loose in the Church as a result of the refusal of the shepherds of the Church to heed Our Lady’s message.

Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre set an example for all priests in his devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and in particular, to Our Lady of the Rosary at Fatima. Today, we recall his pilgrimage to her shrine at Fatima on August 22, 1987.

Sermon by Archbishop Lefebvre in Fatima, August 22, 1987
Let us ask the Blessed Virgin then to unravel this mystery for us; it is a martyrdom for all who live in this era…

Let us give thanks to God and to the Most Blessed Virgin Mary for having gathered us today, on this feast of her Immaculate Heart, to sing her praises and to try for a few moments, for a few days, to live out our faith. For if the Virgin Mary wished to come to this land of Portugal, to Fatima, if She wished to appear to these few children to give them a message for the world, it is surely because She desired that our souls be lifted up toward heaven.

Let us try, then, my dear brothers and sisters, to place ourselves in the setting in which these little shepherds found themselves, like the persons who came to accompany them on the 13th of each month of that year 1917, until the month of October, when that extraordinary miracle took place, right here. Right here because, they say, this miracle was seen within a 40-kilometer [25-mile] radius of Fatima, and consequently, if we had been present on that day, October 13, 1917, we would have seen that extraordinary phenomenon of the spinning sun, shooting out lights of all colors, drenching the entire region with its magnificent colors. And it did this for thrice ten minutes! Finally, we would have seen the sun descending as it were from heaven to draw near to the faithful who were present, to manifest the truth of the apparition of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary to these children of Fatima.

So That Our Souls May be Saved
Once again, why this apparition of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary? It was so that our souls may be saved, it was so that our souls may go to join her one day in heaven. In a few extraordinary pictures, She manifested to these children of Fatima the whole reality of our faith. Indeed, the children admired Her and admired Her in such a way that they were as if in ecstasy, rapt, carried away, not knowing how to express the beauty of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary. However much anyone might have tried to provide them with comparisons, no comparison could be made in the sight of the beauty of the Virgin Mary whom they had seen.

And then the Virgin Mary was not the only one who was manifested. She wished to manifest something of heaven to them: Saint Joseph carrying Our Lord in his arms and blessing the world. She wished to appear also under the title of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Our Lady of Sorrows, and generally She appeared as Our Lady of the Rosary. This was because She wished to inculcate in the children the necessity of praying the Rosary, the necessity of suffering with Our Lord Jesus Christ and Our Lady of Sorrows. Thus She wished to manifest her interior sentiments so as to communicate them to these children, so that these children in turn might communicate these sentiments to all those who will have the opportunity to hear their message. Then the Archangel Michael appeared to them.

Our Lady spoke to them also about the souls in purgatory, when Lucia questioned her to find out where such-and-such a soul was, where a particular dead person was—“Was she in heaven? In purgatory?”—She sometimes told them: “No, that lady is not yet in heaven, she is in purgatory.” She wished also to show them the reality of hell. It is therefore right here, in this vicinity, that the Most Blessed Virgin wished to show what hell was to these horrified children, so as to encourage them to do penance, so as to encourage them to pray to save souls, thus showing that the Immaculate Heart of Mary is altogether directed toward the glory of Her Divine Son and toward the salvation of souls. To save souls is to cause them to go to heaven. Therefore it is our entire catechism in a way that these children saw in an image, and this happened through the grace of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary.

Prayer and Penance
Let us try then to put ourselves into this setting today too, because what happened in 1917 is still true today, and perhaps even more than at that time, because the situation in the world is even worse now than it was in 1917. The faith is disappearing, atheism is advancing everywhere, and the Most Blessed Virgin Herself announced it. For although She wished to show us a vision of heaven, She also wished to speak about the earth. She told these children essentially:

It is necessary to pray, it is necessary to do penance so as to stop the devastating effects of this terrible error, Communism, which will dominate the world if people do not do penance and if they do not pray and if they do not carry out my will.”

Her will was to broadcast the secrets that she had given to Lucia.
Alas, we are in fact obliged to note that since these secrets have not been broadcast, the error of Communism is spreading everywhere! Let us strive, then, my dear brothers and sisters, to put ourselves into this setting, in these dispositions so as to share the convictions of these children, so as to unite ourselves to the Heart of Mary, so that our hearts may burn with the desires that were in the Heart of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary and that still are there today, desires for the reign of her Son.

What else can She wish but to see Her Divine Son reign over the whole earth, over souls, over families, and over societies, as He reigns in heaven? This is why She comes down to earth, to beg us, every one of us: “It is necessary for Jesus to reign over you.” She wishes it, She desires it, and She gives us the means.

The first means is prayer. “It is necessary to pray.” The Blessed Virgin unceasingly repeated this to Lucia, because Lucia asked her the question each time: “O Lady, what do you want of me? What do you want me to do?” A fine question! There can be no better dispositions. Is this our disposition also? Mary! What do you want us to do? Then Mary said:

“It is necessary to pray, take your rosary, recite the rosary every day to sanctify yourselves and to save souls, to save the souls of sinners.”

She repeated this every time She came. She also encouraged Holy Communion, receiving the Holy Eucharist, since She even enabled the angel to come and give Communion to these children. Can Mary wish anything else but to give us Her Son, to give us Jesus in our hearts?

That We Might Keep the Faith and Grace in our Souls
Next: why these secrets? The Most Blessed Virgin Mary, in Her love for us, in Her gracious condescension toward us, wished to warn us. She wished to announce future events to us, so as to enable us to keep our faith, to keep grace in our souls. This is why She gave us Her secrets. The Most Blessed Virgin asked Lucia to broadcast the third secret as of 1960—and that this secret be broadcast by the Pope—and not without reason: it was because she knew that after 1960 the Church would have to go through the crisis of these very serious events in its history. She wished to warn us, and She wished to warn the authorities of the Church so as to avoid these misfortunes, so as to avoid the loss of faith and the perdition of souls. Thus we are warned, we know that after 1960 some serious events in Church history would cause a crisis, and particularly with regard to those who lead the Church. Unfortunately, this is probably why the leaders of Holy Church did not wish to broadcast the secret. They thought that it was not opportune to make it public. A great mystery, my dear brothers and sisters, a great mystery!

So you see, then, if the Most Blessed Virgin Mary wishes us to have in our souls dispositions of the love for God, dispositions of prayer, a readiness to unite ourselves to Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist, a willingness to sacrifice ourselves for the sinners of this world, well, then, let us ask for this grace today.

The Mystery of the Situation of Rome Today
Here you are, gathered around the Virgin Mary in Fatima, having in your hearts the dispositions of these little children who welcomed the Most Blessed Virgin Mary and saw Her: ask, let us ask the Most Blessed Virgin Mary to unravel this mystery, that She may come to our aid. The great mystery of Rome, the great mystery of the situation in the papacy today.

They often tell us: do not rend the Church, do not divide the Church, do not cause a schism; yet, my dear brothers and sisters, tell me: where is the unity of the Church? What causes the unity of the Church? Open all the theology books, open all the books by the saints, open all the books by the doctors and theologians: what causes the unity of the Church is the unity of faith. When someone no longer has the Catholic Faith, he separates himself from the Church. There you have it! And every person invested with authority in the Church since Our Lord founded it, every person who has some authority in the Church and particularly all the clergy, and particularly the bishops, and especially the Pope, all of them are at the service of this unity, they are at the service of this faith: “Go teach the Gospel,” not some other Gospel and not just any Gospel: “Go teach the Gospel.” Be at the service of this message that I have given you, but you must not change the message.

Well, then, we keep and cherish the whole faith; not for anything in the world would we want to remove one iota, the least bit of our faith; we want to keep it intact, absolutely intact. And it is because we want to keep this unity of faith that those who are losing it persecute us. This is the true current situation in which we find ourselves, a mysterious situation, probably announced by Our Lady of Fatima in Her third secret, saying that those who want to remain Catholics will be persecuted by those who, while having authority in the Church, stray from the faith; and since they stray from the Faith, they would like to drag us along with them. Because we disobey them by our unwillingness to lose the faith with them, they persecute us. But Our Lord said it, He predicted that there would be bad shepherds and said that we must not follow the bad shepherds; we must follow the good shepherds. This is the mystery that we are living through today.

Let us ask the Blessed Virgin then to unravel this mystery for us; it is a martyrdom for you, for us, for all who live in this era, a true moral martyrdom, perhaps worse than the martyrdom of blood, to see that those who ought to preach and defend the Catholic faith for the unity of the Church are abandoning this Catholic faith and seeking to get along with the world, with modern principles, with the principles of this society that is guided more by Satan than by the Good Lord.

Ask for the Grace of Fidelity
Let us make the resolution, here at the feet of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and let us ask her for the grace to keep the faith, to remain Catholics until the end of our days, to have this grace of final perseverance in the Catholic faith. Why did all the martyrs shed their blood? In order to keep the faith. If we must be martyrs, if we must be not martyrs by blood but martyrs in our souls, in our hearts, in our minds, well, then, we will be martyrs, and we will be the heirs of those who shed their blood so as not to deny their faith.

This is what we must promise the Most Blessed Virgin Mary and try to make everyone around us understand so that they might not lose the Faith… lest, in losing their faith, they lose their souls. These, my dear brothers and sisters, are the resolutions that we must make today: to pray, to sacrifice ourselves, to make the sacrifice of our life, to offer our life for the redemption of the world, for the salvation of souls, for the salvation of our souls, the salvation of the souls of our families, of the members of our family.

And Ask That the Church may Regain Her Splendor

And finally ask for the renewal of the Holy Catholic Church: that the Church might regain her splendor, that the Church might regain her unity in the faith, that the Church might regain her thousands and thousands of religious vocations as before, that once again novitiates might be filled, that seminaries might be filled so as to keep the Catholic Faith, so as to live the Catholic Faith! This is what we are striving to do, my dear brothers and sisters, together with those whom you see present here, these young priests, these young seminarians. As soon as people want to keep the faith, as soon as people want to keep the Sacrifice of the Mass and the true Eucharist, as soon as people are devoted body and soul to the Church, there are vocations, because we are in the truth. Let us ask the Most Blessed Virgin Mary to bless our seminaries, to bless our young priests so that they might be apostles; to bless our religious, the Sisters of the Society, all the sisters who devote themselves to Tradition, the Carmelites, the Dominicans, the Benedictines…all these nuns who want to keep the Catholic faith and want to spread it.

And may the Virgin Mary deign to bless us so that we might continue courageously, despite the trials, to serve the kingdom of Her Divine Son. Adveniat regnum tuum, may Thy kingdom come, yes, O Lord Jesus, may Thy reign extend over persons, over families and over societies, so that this reign may continue in eternity!

Bergoglio’s Reformation

Pope Francis forges ahead with the Bergoglian Reformation and knowing that he has but little time, is filled with evil intensity to rehabilitate the arch-heretic Martin Luther.

The Bergoglian Revolution

Just a few days ago, Pope Francis honored the 99th anniversary of Our Lady of the Rosary’s last visit to Fatima, Portugal and her Miracle of the Sun, which she performed “so that all will believe”.

Oh wait – no – he honored someone else, didn’t he? Someone much more modern and important? Pope Francis chose to honor Martin Luther instead of the Blessed Virgin on the 99th anniversary of her miracle of the sun. Really. In fact, he did not even mention Our Lady of Fatima or the Holy Rosary once on the 99th anniversary of the greatest event of the 20th century.

To the left,  Pope Francis with the statue of Martin Luther, who was honored by the Pope during his talk welcoming Lutheran pilgrims on October 13, this year.

In his own words:

“The last thing you must do is ‘to say, to convince’. It’s not right to convince someone of your faith,” he said. “Proselytism is the strongest venom against the path of ecumenism”.

The pope was speaking to around 1,000 pilgrims in the Vatican – most of them German Lutherans – who are in Rome as part of ecumenical preparations for the 500th anniversary of the beginning of the Lutheran “reformation”.

“The Apostle Paul tells us that, by virtue of our baptism, we all form the one Body of Christ,” the pope said. “The different members, in fact, are one body.” (ANSA)

Earlier, in yet another of his flying circus press conferences, on June 27, the Pope said,

I think that the intentions of Martin Luther were not mistaken. He was a reformer. Perhaps some methods were not correct . . . There was corruption in the Church, there was worldliness, attachment to money, to power, and this he protested. Then he was intelligent and took some steps forward justifying, and because he did this. And today Lutherans and Catholics, Protestants, all of us agree on the doctrine of justification.(NCRegister) Thus does this pope reject the “outdated” Council of Trent and its truths.

The “Luther Love Fest” will continue in a couple weeks, with the Pope visiting Sweden to honor Martin Luther there as well. And on it goes, where it stops no one knows. But we can take a fairly well informed guess that it will have its culmination by the time of the 500th anniversary of Luther’s revolt, in October 2017. No wonder the Pope is so fond of Luther: after all, Luther made a mess just as Pope Francis commands us. In fact, long before Luther, his patron demon Judas was notably making quite a mess and revolting against Christ;  perhaps the Pope will rehabilitate them both in this brave new church where heresy and betrayal is celebrated and speaking the truth of the faith is considered “venomous poison”.

Our Lady of Fatima and Islam

Have you ever wondered why the Queen of Heaven chose the rural backwater of Fatima, Portugal to make her appearance in 1917? Does the name Fatima remind you of anything? Now that Islam is daily slaughtering Christians in the name of their false god, it may be wise to look into these things a bit further.

Our Lady of Victory, crush satan's head & lead us to victory! Our Lady of the Rosary, save our families, save the Church!
Our Lady of Victory, crush satan’s head & lead us to victory!
Our Lady of the Rosary, save our families, save the Church!

In 1952, Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen published a book, “The World’s First Love, Mary, the Mother of God”. The book was a tour de force of devotion to Our Lady, especially Our Lady of Fatima. The Servant of God devoted the entire 17th Chapter of his book to, “Mary and the Moslems”, for so they were called then. This book is in the public domain as all Catholic spiritual writing should be, and is available for free from www.archive.org. That site offers the book in a variety of formats, including pdf, Kindle and iBook. I offer these excerpts from the  17th Chapter with my comments for your review to facilitate the discussion and awareness of Our Lady of Fatima’s importance in this ongoing chastisement.

“At the present time, the hatred of the Moslem countries against the West is becoming a hatred against Christianity itself. Although the statesmen have not yet taken it into account, there is still grave danger that the temporal power of Islam may return and, with it, the menace that it may shake off a West which has ceased to be Christian, and affirm itself as a great anti-Christian world power. Moslem writers say, “When the locust swarms darken vast countries, they bear on their wings these Arabic words: *We are God’s host, each of us has ninety-nine eggs, and if we had a hundred, we should lay waste the world with all that is in it.”

Regarding locusts, see Apocalypse Chapter 9, verse 3 and verses 7-11:

“And from the smoke of the pit there came out locusts upon the earth. …And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle: and on their heads were, as it were, crowns like gold: and their faces were as the faces of men. And they had hair as the hair of women; and their teeth were as lions:  And they had breastplates as breastplates of iron, and the noise of their wings was as the noise of chariots and many horses running to battle. And they had tails like to scorpions, and there were stings in their tails; and their power was to hurt men five months. And they had over them a king, the angel of the bottomless pit; whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek Apollyon; in Latin Exterminans.”

Continuing from Archbishop Sheen,

The Koran, which is the Bible of the Moslems, has many passages concerning the Blessed Virgin. First of all, the Koran believes in her Immaculate Conception and, also, in her Virgin Birth. The third chapter of the Koran places the history of Mary’s family in a genealogy which goes back through Abraham, Noah, and Adam. … The Koran has also verses on the Annunciation, Visitation, and Nativity. Angels are pictured as accompanying the Blessed Mother and saying: “Oh, Mary, God has chosen you and purified you, and elected you above all the women of the earth.” In the nineteenth chapter of the Koran there are forty-one verses on Jesus and Mary. There is such a strong defense of the virginity of Mary here that the Koran, in the fourth book, attributes the condemnation of the Jews to their monstrous calumny against the Virgin Mary.

Mary, then, is for the Moslems the true Sayyida, or Lady. The only possible serious rival to her in their creed would be Fatima, the daughter of Mohammed himself. But after the death of Fatima, Mohammed wrote: “Thou shalt be the most blessed of all the women in Paradise, after Mary” In a variant of the text, Fatima is made to say: “I surpass all the women, except Mary.”

Archbishop Sheen then explains the significance of Mary’s choice of Fatima for her apparitions.

“This brings us to our second point, namely, why the Blessed Mother, in this twentieth century, should have revealed herself in the insignificant little village of Fatima, so that to all future generations she would be known as ‘Our Lady of Fatima’. Since nothing ever happens out of heaven except with a finesse of all details, I believe that the Blessed Virgin chose to be known as ‘Our Lady of Fatima’ as a pledge and a sign of hope to the Moslem people, and as an assurance that they, who show her so much respect, will one day accept her Divine Son, too.

Evidence to support these views is found in the historical fact that the Moslems occupied Portugal for centuries. At the time when they were finally driven out, the last Moslem chief had a beautiful daughter by the name of Fatima. A Catholic boy fell in love with her, and for him she not only stayed behind when the Moslems left, but even embraced the faith. The young husband was so much in love with her that he changed the name of the town where he lived to Fatima. Thus, the very place where Our Lady appeared in 1917 bears a historical connection to Fatima, the daughter of Mohammed.”

It seems obvious to me that since the Church, in the person of her Popes,  chose to disobey the requests of Our Lady of Fatima, among the chastisements would be the swarming locusts of Muslim terrorists plaguing Christians today. It also seems self evident that these Chastisements which are spiritual cannot effectively be fought by merely secular means, such as citing “religious liberty” and “freedom of speech”. Other writers have mentioned that Islam seems to be a chastisement for the vulgarity and impurity of the post-Christian West; its exaggerated emphasis on modesty for instance appears a twisted perversion of true Christian modesty, perhaps to point up the loss of true modesty of Catholic women in the modernist church.  Jacinta, the youngest of the Fatima children, spoke of sins of impurity as causing so many souls to be lost.

Another proof of the relevance of Our Lady of Fatima to the Muslims given by Archbishop Sheen is their response to the Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima as it progressed through Muslim lands.

The final evidence of the relationship of Fatima to the Moslems is the enthusiastic reception which the Moslems in Africa and India and elsewhere gave to the Pilgrim statue o£ Our Lady of Fatima, as mentioned earlier. Moslems attended the Church services in honor of Our Lady; they allowed religious processions and even prayers before their mosques; and in Mozambique the Moslems, who were unconverted, began to be Christian as soon as the statue of Our Lady of Fatima was erected.

Archbishop Sheen assures us that, “In any apologetic endeavor, it is always best to start with that which people already accept. Because the Moslems have a devotion to Mary, our missionaries should be satisfied merely to expand and to develop that devotion, with the full realization that Our Blessed Lady will carry the Moslems the rest of the way to her Divine Son.”

In an earlier chapter in the same book, his Excellency remarks on the astonishing effect the Pilgrim Virgin statue has had on the Hindu and Moslem lands where it was brought. Now, we must take note of the fact that all this “solemn nonsense” of proselytizing, in the words of Pope Francis, has stopped since the wondrous “Springtime of Vatican II”. Could the halting of devotion to the message of Fatima have possibly had some effect on the ever-increasing anti-Christian sentiment among Islamists? What do you think?

Our Lady told the children of Fatima that she would return a 7th time. I believe that it will be to reacquaint the invading Islamic hordes with her power, the power of the Immaculata to cast out satan and all his hateful works and pomps. Think about it.

Fatima in Mary’s Words – 2014

This is a repost that seems appropriate for today, the 97th anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima’s last, but not final appearance at Fatima, Portugal.

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us!
Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us!

May 13, 1917. Our Lady to the three shepherd children, “Are you willing to offer yourselves to God and bear all the sufferings He wills to send you as an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and in supplication for the conversion of sinners?”

Francisco, Jacinta and Lucia answered, “Yes, we are willing!” Our Lady then told them, “Then you are going to have much to suffer, but the grace of God will be your comfort.”

June 13, 1917. Our Lady spoke to Lucia, the oldest of the children, “Jesus wishes to make use of you to serve as His instrument to make me known and loved. He wants to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. To whoever embraces this devotion, I promise salvation; these souls shall be dear to God, as flowers placed by me to adorn His throne…my daughter…I shall never abandon you! My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the way which will lead you to God.”

“Say the Rosary, inserting between the mysteries the following, ‘O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need.’ “

July 13, 1917. Our Lady told the children, “I want you…to continue praying the Rosary every day in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary, in order to obtain peace for the world …because only she can help you! … Sacrifice yourselves for poor sinners and say often, especially when you make some sacrifice, ‘O Jesus, it is for love of Thee, for the conversion of sinners and in reparation for the sins against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.’ ”

At that same appearance, following the terrible vision of Hell, “You have seen Hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish throughout the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If people do what I request, many souls will be saved and there will be peace… But if they do not stop offending God, another and worse war will break out in the reign of Pius XI. When you see a night illumined by an unknown light, know that it is the great sign that God gives you, that He is going to punish the world for its crimes by means of war, hunger, persecution of the Church and of the Holy Father.. To forestall this I shall come to ask for the Consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart and the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturdays.

“If they heed my requests, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace. If not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, promoting wars and persecution of the Church; the good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated; in the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, which will be converted, and some time of peace will be given to the world.”

August 19, 1917. This apparition was delayed due to the arrest of the children by the Masonic civil authorities. When she appeared, Our Lady urged the children, “Pray, pray very much and make sacrifices for sinners; for many souls go to Hell because there are none to make sacrifices and pray for them.”

September 13, 1917. “Continue to pray the Rosary every day… In the last month, in October, I shall perform a miracle so that all may believe in my apparitions.” In a personal message to the children, Our Lady assured them that God was pleased with their sacrifices.

October 13, 1917. On this visit, Our Lady identified herself as “Our Lady of the Rosary”, thus reinforcing yet again, how pleasing the devotion of the Rosary is to her. “Continue to say the Rosary every day … People must amend their lives and ask pardon for their sins. They must not offend Our Lord any more, for He is already too much offended.”

The promised miracle of the sun was witnessed that day by at least 70,000 people, many of whom were non-believers. Additionally, apparitions were seen by Lucia. To her, Our Lady appeared as Our Lady of the Rosary, as Our Lady of Sorrows and as Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Also, St. Joseph and the Child Jesus and Our Lord Jesus Christ appeared and blessed the world.

Those visions were messages as well, to those who are devoted to Fatima. They point us to St. Joseph as our powerful protector and the guardian of our faith. The Child Jesus appearing with St. Joseph and blessing us is specifically directed at families, which as we have seen, have been very much under satanic attack in the post-Fatima century. The blessings given by Jesus endorse the devotion to Fatima and strengthen it. The visions of Our Lady of the Rosary, Our Lady of Sorrows and Our Lady of Mount Carmel point the way to the recommended devotions, that is the Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (and by inference the devotion of Total Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary), and the devotion to the daily Rosary in reparation to the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Add to these devotions the First Saturdays of Communion of Reparation and you have essentially the complete program of Fatima. This is the message of Fatima in Our Lady’s own words. This is the message that has been ignored. That it is ignored by the world is not surprising, but that it has been ignored by the Church is beyond disappointing.

Pope after Pope spoke pious words and performed “almost, but not quite” consecrations, never actually obeying the Mother of God. Well-meaning Catholics point out the numerous instances where Pope Pius XII and John Paul II appeared to be obediently devoted to Our Lady of Fatima, but the point is that they never actually did what was requested. Often, John Paul II is hailed as the Marian Pope, yet when he recorded himself praying the Rosary, he omitted the Fatima Decade Prayer requested by Our Lady. In addition, he promoted an entirely new set of Mysteries which were not requested by Our Lady. Would a real servant of Mary refuse to give Our Lady what she has requested while at the same time inserting what was not asked for? What do you think?

The hierarchy of the Church has never promoted the devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary throughout the entire Church as requested by Our Lady, that is, First Saturdays of Reparation, Total Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, daily Rosary, especially the Family Rosary. To assert that the Consecration of Russia has been done is to make Our Lady a liar. Obviously Russia has spread her errors throughout the world and it is not yet ended. Indeed, the worst of the Chastisement may yet be in store for us, as Vatican II continues to infect and erode the Church.

The time is far advanced and yet we still may turn the tide. If only people could heed her message and accept Our Lady’s demands in all humility and obedience. Remember that Our Lady’s words to Lucia are meant for us as well,

“Jesus wishes to make use of you to serve as His instrument to make me known and loved.

Although the institutional Church delays implementing her requests, we her faithful children should use every possible means to live our devotion to our Queen and Mother and to spread that devotion insofar as we are able.

Please, Pray the Rosary and confound the devil!

Rosary Crusade – Why Now?

At Fatima and in her appearances after Fatima to Sister Lucia of Fatima, Our Lady of the Rosary continued to ask for reparation in addition to the rosary. There have been many Rosary Crusades called for, many millions of rosaries prayed. However, few have also called for participants to offer sacrifices of reparation with their rosaries.

I remember an episode in one of Sister Lucia of Fatima’s Memoirs where she related that she and Blessed Francisco had been besieged with questions by pilgrims. To one who asked if Our Lady requested we pray the Rosary for sinners, she replied, “No”. Afterwards, Blessed Francisco said, “you did not tell the truth”. She responded, “Our Lady said we should do penance and pray the Rosary.”

And now, at last, a group of the most persecuted Catholics in the world has asked for a Rosary Crusade, including penance. That group is the Society of St. Pius X. For many years, the Society has promoted the Message of Fatima, in keeping the First Saturdays of Reparation and of course, the Rosary, especially the family Rosary.
