Slash and burn, reboot

Contrarian that I am, the utter indifference to my post yesterday has encouraged me to re-post today, with additional material.

Slash and burn agriculture is the process of cutting down the vegetation in a particular plot of land, setting fire to the remaining foliage, and using the ashes to provide nutrients to the soil for the use of planting food crops.

Recently, a kind and gentle reader remarked, “it is not surprising that we see the ground being prepared, tilled so to speak, in order to receive the seed of the consecration.”

Fresh, new growth springs from the ashes.

I’ve taken some time to consider this reader’s thoughtful comment and concluded that the ground will be prepared by a slightly different method. In the slash and burn method, as detailed above, what is hindering the restoration of the faith and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is the glut of arrogant, disobedient and indifferent catholics who now occupy the Church, as laity and above all, as consecrated leaders, who conspire against her and serve the lord of this world.  By His usual effective methods, I believe that God will clear away the debris, and in these ashes, by the humility and obedience of the survivors, and through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the Church will rise again. The chastened Pope will consecrate Russia, and a chastened Russia will welcome this.

Pope John Paul II said many years ago in Fulda that it was too late to avert the Chastisement. And it is. However, it is never too late to turn to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Those who do will survive the coming events with their souls intact, as Our Lady has promised us. With our prayers and penances, we may hope to mitigate the Chastisement as it affects each of us personally, and we should earnestly pray that we will be able to draw fallen away Catholics to return to the faith and be saved amidst this chaos and general destruction of the faith, for that is what we are commanded to do. As St. Michael, the Angel of Fatima told us, “Pray, pray always, and make of everything a sacrifice.”

I respect the faith of the dear and kind souls who truly believe that Putin is some sort of sign that we are progressing towards the Consecration because he is such a “strong Christian leader”. Where do they get that information? From writers in the media. In the media. The same media that they know has misled us so often. And they obviously believe that Putin is too childlike and innocent to use the media to mislead anyone. Remember, “Satan himself transformeth himself into an angel of light.” (2 Cor. 11, 14)

In the United States, soon there will be an election. Or possibly not. Either way, the world will never be the same. The majority of Catholics in this country have never obeyed Our Lady of Fatima, and yet they believe that they can remedy the disastrous situation of their country by secular means.  I do not ask you to believe me other than please believe Our Lady’s numerous warnings – They are backed up by the Holy Scriptures and by Church approved private revelations. Those who seek positive signs that “the ground is being prepared for the Consecration” risk misleading the faithful, for the only signs given will be those foretold already.

On October 13, 1917, Our Lady of Fatima warned, “People must amend their lives and ask pardon for their sins.”  Fifty-six years later, and  13 years after Pope John disobeyed her, Our Lady appeared at Akita, Japan on October  13, 1973, just after America’s Supreme Court opened the floodgates for abortion. At that time, her warning was even more severe:

“if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never have seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by my Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and the priests.”

St. Patrick’s Prophecy and Fatima

St. Patrick and Sister Lucia of Fatima, Two Prophecies

Let’s ignore, if possible, the discouraging aspects of the secular desecrations of great Saint Patrick’s Feast Day, and focus instead on his prophecy and how it may fit in with that of Fatima, and the Chastisement which pertains to us today.

St. Patrick is reputed by some accounts to have lived 120 years and to have raised no less than 33 people back to life, many of whom had been dead years. His penances, sacrifices, miracles and conversions were astounding and there are also a couple of prophecies attributed to him. The first is not of good provenance, but relates that the faith he brought to Ireland will blaze throughout the island for a period of time, then gradually dim and eventually appear to be almost extinguished, with but a few glowing embers; but then will gradually resurge, beginning in the north and eventually returning throughout Ireland. Although that might be of some comfort to faithful Catholics in Ireland, today we will consider another prophecy of the great saint of Ireland.
