Let’s begin September by celebrating Pope Francis! 

Yes, it is time that we honor the man, his deep and merciful thoughts and his actions by which it is said a man may best be known. On this day 108 years ago, in his Oath Against Modernism, Pope St. Pius X foretold this man, Pope Francis, our first truly humble and merciful pope, and wrote of him. Indeed, his great encyclical Pascendi Domenici Gregis, written in September, 1907 is filled with prophecies about our little Argentinian treasure – reading the words of St. Pius X, it is hard to believe that he did not have our beloved Bergoglio’s illustrious words on Love, “Amoris Laetitia” in mind as he wrote it.

Joking aside, let’s take a look at a better time, when we had the brave and clear truths spoken by our truly Holy Father, one worthy of the name, Pope St. Pius X, who presciently warned of the false doctrines being promoted by just this pope.

“The purpose of this is, then, not that dogma may be tailored according to what seems better and more suited to the culture of each age; rather, that the absolute and immutable truth preached by the apostles from the beginning may never be believed to be different, may never be understood in any other way.” (Pope St. Pius X)

The last truly saintly Pope was Pius X, who promulgated the Oath Against Modernism on September 1, 1910, 108 years ago today. It is instructive to review this oath, which was abolished by Paul VI and is so widely scorned, reviled or simply ignored by those who currently occupy the visible Church today.

With the death of this holy pope, the dark force of modernism was once again free to poison the faith, While ostensibly orthodox, Pope Benedict XV dismantled St. Pius’s Sodalitium Pianum, the network established to assure orthodoxy in the seminaries. Subsequent popes also contributed their efforts to undermining orthodoxy in sundry ways. Although these popes gave lip service to Our Lady’s message at Fatima, none actually went so far as to obey her. And so, modernism flourished under even those pre-Vatican II popes who appeared to be orthodox, until it burst into florid putrescence in the revolutionary Second Vatican Ecumenical Council.

As you review the Oath Against Modernism that follows, bear in mind that every Conciliar Pope from John XXIII through Benedict XVI had originally sworn this solemn oath, which of course, was violated by those same popes during and after Vatican II. Every single pope until Francis, the quintessential modernist pope; the very apotheosis of Vatican II.

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in the clothing of sheep, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. By their fruits you shall know them. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit, and the evil tree brings forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can an evil tree bring forth good fruit.” (Matt 7, 15-18)

 THE OATH AGAINST MODERNISM

To be sworn to by all clergy, pastors, confessors, preachers, religious superiors, and professors in philosophical-theological seminaries.

“I . . . . firmly embrace and accept each and every definition that has been set forth and declared by the unerring teaching authority of the Church, especially those principal truths which are directly opposed to the errors of this day.

  1. And first of all, I profess that God, the origin and end of all things, can be known with certainty by the natural light of reason from the created world (see Rom. 1:90), that is, from the visible works of creation, as a cause from its effects, and that, therefore, His existence can also be demonstrated.
  2. Secondly, I accept and acknowledge the external proofs of revelation, that is, divine acts and especially miracles and prophecies as the surest signs of the divine origin of the Christian religion and I hold that these same proofs are well adapted to the understanding of all eras and all men, even of this time.
  3. Thirdly, I believe with equally firm faith that the Church, the guardian and teacher of the revealed word, was personally instituted by the real and historical Christ when He lived among us, and that the Church was built upon Peter, the prince of the apostolic hierarchy, and his successors for the duration of time.
  4. Fourthly, I sincerely hold that the doctrine of faith was handed down to us from the apostles through the orthodox Fathers in exactly the same meaning and always in the same purport. Therefore, I entirely reject the heretical misrepresentation that dogmas evolve and change from one meaning to another different from the one which the Church held previously. I also condemn every error according to which, in place of the divine deposit which has been given to the spouse of Christ to be carefully guarded by her, there is put a philosophical figment or product of a human conscience that has gradually been developed by human effort and will continue to develop indefinitely.
  5. Fifthly, I hold with certainty and sincerely confess that faith is not a blind sentiment of religion welling up from the depths of the subconscious under the impulse of the heart and the motion of a will trained to morality; but faith is a genuine assent of the intellect to truth received by hearing from an external source. By this assent, because of the authority of the supremely truthful God, we believe to be true that which has been revealed and attested to by a personal God, our creator and lord.
  6. Furthermore, with due reverence, I submit and adhere with my whole heart to the condemnations, declarations, and all the prescripts contained in the encyclical Pascendi and in the decree Lamentabili, especially those concerning what is known as the history of dogmas.
  7. I also reject the error of those who say that the faith held by the Church can contradict history, and that Catholic dogmas, in the sense in which they are now understood, are irreconcilable with a more realistic view of the origins of the Christian religion.
  8. I also condemn and reject the opinion of those who say that a well-educated Christian assumes a dual personality-that of a believer and at the same time of a historian, as if it were permissible for a historian to hold things that contradict the faith of the believer, or to establish premises which, provided there be no direct denial of dogmas, would lead to the conclusion that dogmas are either false or doubtful.
  9. Likewise, I reject that method of judging and interpreting Sacred Scripture which, departing from the tradition of the Church, the analogy of faith, and the norms of the Apostolic See, embraces the misrepresentations of the rationalists and with no prudence or restraint adopts textual criticism as the one and supreme norm.
  10. Furthermore, I reject the opinion of those who hold that a professor lecturing or writing on a historico-theological subject should first put aside any preconceived opinion about the supernatural origin of Catholic tradition or about the divine promise of help to preserve all revealed truth forever; and that they should then interpret the writings of each of the Fathers solely by scientific principles, excluding all sacred authority, and with the same liberty of judgment that is common in the investigation of all ordinary historical documents.
  11. Finally, I declare that I am completely opposed to the error of the modernists who hold that there is nothing divine in sacred tradition; or what is far worse, say that there is, but in a pantheistic sense, with the result that there would remain nothing but this plain simple fact-one to be put on a par with the ordinary facts of history-the fact, namely, that a group of men by their own labor, skill, and talent have continued through subsequent ages a school begun by Christ and His apostles.
  12. I firmly hold, then, and shall hold to my dying breath the belief of the Fathers in the charism of truth, which certainly is, was, and always will be in the succession of the episcopacy from the apostles.

The purpose of this is, then, not that dogma may be tailored according to what seems better and more suited to the culture of each age; rather, that the absolute and immutable truth preached by the apostles from the beginning may never be believed to be different, may never be understood in any other way.

I promise that I shall keep all these articles faithfully, entirely, and sincerely, and guard them inviolate, in no way deviating from them in teaching or in any way in word or in writing. Thus I promise, this I swear, so help me God.”

After Vatican II, Pope Paul VI (who had, himself, sworn this very Oath) abolished the Oath. The post-Conciliar Catholic Church then, is built on the shifting sands of Modernism, which is a heresy. 

This is the Age of Apostasy, and Pope Francis is bringing us to its calamitous close. The chastisement will only be ended by the Immaculate Mother of God, through a pope who is chastened, truly humble and obedient in performing the long-awaited  Consecration of Russia with the surviving Bishops. We the faithful, have an obligation to obey Our Lady of the Rosary and offer unceasing rosaries and sacrifices of reparation in order to obtain this. Return to the Message of Fatima. Return to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

A Victory and a Tragedy

 

Today, we mark two anniversaries; the first a glorious victory of the faith through martyrdom. The second, a tragic loss through the betrayal of a modernist pope. On 17 July, 1794, the sixteen virgin martyrs of Compiegne gave their lives for the true faith. And also, on the day of infamy 17 July, 1967, the pathetic Pope Paul VI betrayed the faith by abolishing the Oath Against Modernism which had been placed as a bulwark against the rising tide of heresy in the Church, thus allowing the flood of modernism which has so ravaged the faith in these past 51 years.

On this day, 17 July, in 1794, the Holy, Roman Catholic Church gained 16 Virgin Martyrs, the Discalced Carmelites of Compiegne, victims of the Masonic Revolution in France. These brave and pure women, by their holy sacrifice purchased the end of the bloody tide of public beheadings. Although the public display of gory beheadings had run its course, the Satanic Revolution has, in various forms, continued on up to the present time.  We do well to heed the example of these brave martyrs, for we may sooner or later be called upon to defend the faith ourselves.

THE SIXTEEN CARMELITE MARTYRS OF COMPIEGNE

The French Revolution reveals the titanic struggle between good and evil. During the terror, over 40,000 Frenchmen were executed just for holding fast to the Catholic Faith and objecting to the worst excesses of the Committee of Public Safety. The blood lost in the years of 1792-1794 staggers the imagination even in the retelling and the campaign against the Church was as diabolical as it was cruel.

Contemplative religious communities had been among the first targets of the fury of the French Revolution against the Catholic Church. Less than a year from May 1789 when the Revolution began with the meeting of the Estates-General, these communities had been required by law to disband. But many of them continued in being, in hiding. Among these were the community of the Carmelite nuns of Compiegne, in northeastern France not far from Paris — the fifty-third convent in France of the Carmelite sisters who followed the reform of St. Teresa of Avila, founded in 1641, noted throughout its history for fidelity and fervor. Their convent was raided in August 1790, all the property of the sisters was seized by the government, and they were forced to discard their habits and leave their house. They divided into four groups which found lodging in four different houses all near the same church in Compiegne, and for several years they were to a large extent able to continue their religious life in secret. But the intensified surveillance and searches of the “Great Terror” revealed their secret, and in June 1794 most of them were arrested and imprisoned.

They had expected this; indeed, they had prayed for it. At some time during the summer of 1792, very likely just after the events of August 10 of that year that marked the descent into the true deeps of the Revolution, their prioress, Madeleine Lidoine, whose name in religion was Teresa in honor of the founder of their order, had foreseen much of what was to come. At Easter of 1792, she told her community that, while looking through the archives she had found the account of a dream a Carmelite had in 1693. In that dream, the Sister saw the whole Community, with the exception of 2 or 3 Sisters, in glory and called to follow the Lamb. In the mind of the Prioress, this meant martyrdom and might well be a prophetic announcement of their fate.

Mother Teresa had said to her sisters: “Having meditated much on this subject, I have thought of making an act of consecration by which the Community would offer itself as a sacrifice to appease the anger of God, so that the divine peace of His Dear Son would be brought into the world, returned to the Church and the state.” The sisters discussed her proposal and when the news of the September massacres came, mingling glorious martyrdom with apostasy, the community made their offering. In July, 1794 it was to be accepted.

After their lodgings were invaded again in June, their devotional objects shattered and their tabernacle trampled underfoot by a Revolutionary who told them that their place of worship should be transformed into a dog kennel, the Carmelite sisters were taken to the Conciergerie prison, where so many of the leading victims of the guillotine had been held during their last days on earth. There they composed a canticle for their martyrdom, to be sung to the familiar tune of the Marseillaise. The original still exists, written in pencil and given to one of their fellow prisoners, a lay woman who survived.

Arrupe’s Pope

In an interview with Maike Hickson (Lifesite News), George Neumayr, discussing his new book about Jorge Bergoglio, “The Political Pope”, remarked about Pope Francis and his relationship with Pedro Arrupe, Superior General of the Jesuits::

“He was a protege of Arrupe, who identified Bergoglio as a rising liberal star in the order. That is why he made him a provincial at the age of 36. Arrupe presided over the order during its most intense period of liberalization and used Bergoglio as a liberal enforcer at the infamous worldwide gathering of Jesuits in 1975 that sealed the order’s socialist and modernist direction.”

That remark tells us some very significant things. To understand it better, let’s look at what Father Malachi Martin told us about the Jesuits, his own order, in his book, “The Jesuits, the Society of Jesus and the Betrayal of the Roman Catholic Church”.

In this book, which is understandably the most bitter by far of his books, Father Martin explains in great detail the origins and original purpose of the Society of Jesus founded by St. Ignatius of Loyola. He then provides an exhaustive history of the Society’s change under Pedro Arrupe and its ongoing revolution against the Catholic Faith and particularly against the papacy.  Unfortunately, this article must be brief and thus will only have time for a few extracts. Father Martin’s “The Jesuits” is very worthwhile reading to understand the full implications of this Jesuit Pope, our first dedicated Marxist Pope completely obedient to the ideals set forth by Arrupe.

As you read, please keep in mind Our Lady of Fatima’s warning, which we discussed in an earlier post (“If … if not”):

“If My requests are heeded, Russia will be converted and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions against the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated. In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph.”

In his book, Father Martin describes how the Jesuits, under the control of Father General Pedro Arrupe constructed a Trojan Horse with which to subvert the Church from Vatican II onwards, making use of the fervor for “renewal” to achieve Arrupe’s vision for the Church. That they have succeeded beyond anyone’s wildest dreams is undeniable, and the proof is that even Malachi Martin did not foresee the monstrosity we are faced with today, a truly Jesuit pope in the very mold of Father Arrupe himself.

Neumayr identified the Jesuit gathering in 1975 as a seminal point. Malachi tells us about the importance of that time in his book, The Jesuits.

It was Paul VI who, very late in the day of his papacy, realized that the original dual purpose of the Society of Jesus had been changed. Under his pontificate, an extensive critical dossier about the Society was compiled. It is enough for the moment to say of that dossier that its contents were damning. It was a portrait, in effect, of a Jesuit Order that, like a weathervane atop a roof, had been turned by a different wind. For Jesuits, the papacy no longer held primacy of position. The corporate aim of the Society was now to place itself and the Church at the disposal of a radical and purely sociopolitical change in the world, without reference to –  indeed, in defiance of – papal strategy, policies, and aims. (op cit, p. 42)

Paul did make one last but equally ineffective attempt to recall the allegiance of the Society to the papacy during the ninety-six-day international assembly of Jesuit leaders, the 32nd General Congregation of 1974-1975. His effort met with total incomprehension and stubborn— some said even self-righteous— opposition from the Order. Pope and Jesuits simply could not agree. The Jesuits would not obey. Paul was too weak to force the issue farther.

The Jesuit response was typified by Father M. Buckley:“When you have people [the Jesuits] who do not think they have made errors either in content or procedure, and when they are suspected, resisted or reproved by the very man they are attempting to serve . . . you have . . . a very serious religious problem.”  Indeed, a very serious problem, because within six years  “Arrupism” controlled all Major Superiors in Rome and throughout the Provinces, as well as most of the leading Jesuit theologians, writers, and social activists.

In hindsight, it was merely the beginning of problems. Paul VI was  declining in health, a fact that was duly noted by Arrupe’s forces who were well versed in in the finer points of romanità. Martin states brutally of this poor pope, “His grand strategy for his Church was taken over and prostituted by others, reducing him to an impotence that scarred his last disease-ridden years until his death on August 6, 1978.”

Now, 1978 is an interesting and eventful year, as we shall see. Paul VI was followed by Albino Luciani, who took the conciliatory name of John Paul I. Malachi Martin describes his relation with the Jesuits thusly:

Even before he became Pope, he had apparently made up his mind unfavorably about the Society. And apparently the Society had already made up its mind about Pope John Paul I. No sooner had he been elected than the Jesuits asserted themselves.

Father Vincent O’Keefe*, the most prominent of the four General Assistants to Arrupe, and the one being groomed to succeed Arrupe one day as Father General of the Order, told a Dutch newspaper in an interview that the new Pope should reconsider the Church’s ban on abortion, homosexuality, and priesthood for women. The interview was published.

Pope John Paul I was incensed. This was more than contempt. It was an assertion that the Society of Jesus knew better than the Pope what morals Catholics should practice. And it was an assertion that the Society had the authority to speak out; that is, it was a direct appropriation of the authority that belonged exclusively to the papacy.

John Paul I summoned Arrupe and demanded an explanation. Arrupe humbly promised to look into the whole matter. But John Paul could read the handwriting on the wall as clearly as any Pope. On the basis of Paul VI’s critical dossier, …, the Pope composed a hard-hitting speech of warning. He planned to deliver it to the international assembly of Jesuit leaders and Father General Arrupe at another of their General Congregations to be held in Rome on September 30, 1978.

John Paul I never got to give that speech to the Jesuits, for he was found dead in his bed the morning of September 29.

I am not able to delineate for you the excellent points made by Neumayr in his interview with Maike Hickson but trust you will make use of it, for he demonstrates, by Bergoglio’s own words, the warm regard in which Jorge Bergoglio holds the many Marxists he has been associated with; for example:

  • He told the Italian press that he wasn’t “offended” if people call him a communist since he has “met many Marxists in my life who are good people.”
  • He appointed Óscar Rodríguez Maradiaga to his Council of advisors.  It came out through the WikiLeaks disclosures that Maradiaga has been working with George Soros operatives to promote socialism in the Church.
  • Others: Leonardo Boff, Fr. Luís Espinal, Esther Ballestrino – “I owe a huge amount to that great woman”, Leónidas Barletta,  Archbishop Óscar Romero and Dom Hélder Câmara.

Malachi Martin ended his book on the Jesuits by speculating that the order may be suppressed by a future pope, may reform itself miraculously recovering its original Ignatian spirituality, or failing that, God may intervene, for it is after all,  His Society, named after Him.  But Martin did not anticipate the Jesuits putting their own man into the papacy. By doing so, they appear to be forcing God’s hand.

It becomes clear that Russia’s errors, dialectical materialism, marxism, have spread throughout the world and to the top of the Church hierarchy, now possessing the Pope.  And yet, many people are now sacrificing and praying, obedient to Our Lady of Fatima’s request. Recently, this Pope identified himself as the “Bishop in white” of the Fatima prophecy.  What was he telling us?

Several disparate elements seem to be coming together now. Never has the world been so poised at the brink of global catastrophe as we are now. And the vast majority of the population is so far beyond Christian that  if asked if God is dead, they would shrug and remark that the question was irrelevant to them.

My point in writing this is simply to note that events seem to be lining up in a specific way and it may be appropriate to draw our conclusions accordingly.  Personally, I am beginning to conclude that there is little to be gained, by trying to convince others. I have been attempting that for the past 4-5 years with diminishing success.

Homosexual Clerics and the Hatred for Life

I apologise for the past few articles regarding the corruption in the Vatican. It is unpleasant to talk about but

“There is a need for respect and reverence for people who are homosexual.” – Cardinal de Kesel

needs to be placed in perspective. The corruption pouring forth now from the Bergoglian Vatican has actually been a growing undercurrent for well over 100 years. It was given fresh impetus with Vatican II and  now, as Our Lord and His most Blessed Mother are driven out by the pride, presumption and lust of the current occupants, the Vatican’s thin veneer should burst to reveal the tawdry squalor within.

As upsetting as the Capozzi sex-capades are, even more disappointing is the indifference of so many Catholics to this and the many other scandals under Pope Francis.  The healthy Catholic response to the homosexual orgy and drug smuggling that fueled it, should be righteous indignation. But many Catholics today have become so indoctrinated to be “tolerant” of grave sin that they no longer object to the openly homosexual clergy and do not even become concerned when Pope Francis clears out the pro-life members of the Pontifical Academy for Life and appoints people like the Anglican Nigel Biggar who supports abortion and Katarina le Blanc who  ghoulishly uses the stem cells from aborted babies in her research, thus supporting trafficking in murdered preborn infants.

In the midst of this most recent outbreak of scandal, I returned to a book I treasure, written almost one thousand years ago by a great saint in the Church. Although even the Catholic Encyclopedia tries to cast aspersions on his work, St. Peter Damian’s inspired genius is as appropriate for today as it was those many centuries ago, and today we have the excellent translation (here) by Matthew Cullinan Hoffman as well.  St. Peter Damian’s “Liber Gomorrhianus” or “Book of Gomorrah” is far and away the most impassioned denunciation of sexual perversion ever penned by a Catholic saint.

St. Peter Damian wrote in the eleventh century, a time in which as Hoffman notes,  “The popes had politicized the papacy by appropriating its spiritual functions for secular ends.” Incredible isn’t it to see how history just keeps repeating itself and I guess it will do so until we finally grasp its lessons!

St. Peter Damian knew that it was necessary to define the problem in clear, unambiguous terms, avoiding all polite euphemisms.  His writings show that  he was aware that some could construe them as a source of scandal to the vulnerable. He also knew that his words and actions would arouse undying enmity from the vicious men who engage in these behaviors. But he so loved Our Lord Jesus Christ and the Church, the most pure Bride of Christ, that he fearlessly denounced “the cancer of sodomy” and urged the Pope for a reform to purify the Church.

Locusts, smoke and Cocopalmerio, oh my!

Today, we’ll follow up on some loose ends from our last post,  explaining them in the light of current trends in the Bergoglian Vatican.

From Chapter 9, The Apocalypse, verses 1-5, we read:

“And the fifth angel sounded the trumpet, and I saw a star fall from heaven upon the earth, and there was given to him the key of the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit: and the smoke of the pit arose, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened with the smoke of the pit. And from the smoke of the pit there came out locusts upon the earth. And power was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have power: And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree: but only the men who have not the sign of God on their foreheads. And it was given unto them that they should not kill them; but that they should torment them five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion when he striketh a man.”

As we stated previously, Paul VI was the Fallen Star to whom the key to hell had been given. The Fallen Star was given a key, with which he opened the bottomless pit. The smoke of the pit arose, darkening the sun, and out of the smoke came locusts. The darkness of the sun is a spiritual disorientation, thus, another reference to the conciliar church. The locusts could not harm any green thing, but only harm “men who have not the sign of God on their foreheads”.  The reference to not harming “any green thing” refers to being unable to harm those with living faith, that is, truly faithful Catholics. The scripture reference to five months indicates that these locusts will only hold power for a limited time. We believe that the five months indicates the roughly 50 years of the infestation of the Church by the spiritual, moral, and financial corruption of Popes John, Paul and their successors, culminating in this current occupant, the Pope of Affliction.

Although John XXIII during his brief reign, did much to set the stage for the current mess in the Vatican, it was Paul VI who really got the homosexual and satanic powers established. On his watch, several transforming trends raced through the church, contributing to the current disaster. We all know the role Paul VI had in corrupting the Mass and the sacraments, abolishing the Oath Against Modernism and so on. But Paul achieved so much more for his Master!

When I am able, I hope to return to posting on the Apocalypse in light of the Bergoglian Reformation which is proceeding apace under the Pope of Affliction. For today we will revisit this previous post to prepare. I have added a few notes. evensong.

Looking at Apocalypse 9 in the light of the message of Fatima: In our earlier post, “Fatima, Vatican II and the Chastisement 2″, we posited that the Fallen Star, Wormwood, refers to the disobedient Pope John XXIII. This unfortunate man refused to obey the requests of Christ and His Mother and consequently brought a spiritual darkness and disorientation upon the Church from which she has not been able to recover. The Second Vatican Council, which Pope John XXIII so proudly convened has failed by every measure to bring the spiritual renewal he boasted of. Indeed, it has been an unmitigated disaster, or more precisely, chastisement. It cannot be remedied until the Pope and Bishops of the Church obey God’s command, given by the Blessed Virgin Mary at Fatima and emphasised by our Lord Jesus Christ in His apparition to Sister Lucia in Rianjo. Previously, “The Fifth Trumpet“, we looked at the second Fallen Star of Chapter 9, considering if it may be applied to Pope Paul VI. Although earlier commentators applied this prophecy to the arch-heretic Martin Luther, 500 years have passed since Martin Luther, and at this time, the figure of the Fallen Star of Chapter 9 appears most appropriate to Pope Paul VI for the reasons which we brought out in that earlier post. Martin Luther did immense harm to the Faith. However, the Catholic Church maintained her integrity despite his assaults; whereas, under the two Fallen Stars of Chapters 8 and 9, that is, Pope John XXIII and Paul VI, the Church has been ravaged by the enemy within, betrayed by her very “Holy Fathers”.

In earlier posts, we began considering the locusts, those apocalyptic monsters which have intrigued every generation for two millenia. The most popular theory of recent times has been to identify them with the muslim hordes, which do lend themselves to much speculation. Archbishop Fulton Sheen also believed that this was appropriate as we related in an earlier post, “Our Lady of Fatima and Islam” . As did Father Herman Bernard Kramer in his Book of Destiny. However, this popular premise is wrong, as we shall see.

Frère Michel on the Age of Apostasy, updated

Before we return to the Apocalypse, let’s put a few pieces together. Father Malachi Martin and Frère Michel de la Sainte Trinité could have had an interesting discussion, couldn’t they? You all know very well Father Martin’s writings about the enthronement which occurred in the reign of Paul VI. Let’s keep it in mind as we review what Frère Michel tells us here:

From The Whole Truth About Fatima, Vol. III

It is Jesus Himself Who first predicted this terrible crisis of the Faith which will open the “last times”. Along with famines and earthquakes, wars and persecutions, Our Lord clearly predicts that there will also be grave deficiencies even within the Church:

«Then they will deliver you up to tribulation, and will put you to death; and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will fall away, and will betray one another, and will hate one another. And many false prophets will arise, and will lead many astray. And because iniquity will abound, the charity of the many will grow cold. But whoever perseveres to the end, he shall be saved.» (Mt. 24: 9-13)

«… For false christs and false prophets will arise, and will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. Behold, I have foretold it to you.» (Mt. 24: 24)

Finally, we are familiar with these stupefying words of Jesus:

«Yet when the Son of man comes, will He find, do you think, faith on the earth?» (Lk. 18: 8)

This question of Our Lord, explained by His other prophecies on the last times – which are utterly definite and unconditional – takes on an even more dramatic resonance. The apostasy will come, Jesus evokes its most extreme extension, and He leaves us in uncertainty.

THE APOSTOLIC PREACHING

The Apostles understood this tragic teaching very well. There are countless texts where they evoke this menacing apostasy. They multiply warnings against its artisans, the false prophets and false doctors of all sorts, who come from the Church’s very bosom and are already at work against Her, striving furiously to destroy the Faith of the faithful. But “in the last days”, they make it clear, the false prophets will multiply most dangerously. We must reread chapters II and III of Saint Peter’s Second Epistle:

«But there were false prophets also among the people, just as among you there will be lying teachers who will bring in destructive sects. They even disown the Lord Who bought them, thus bringing upon themselves swift destruction.» (2 Pet. 2: 1)

«This first you must know, that in the last days there will come deceitful scoffers, men walking according to their own lusts, saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”… But beloved, do not be ignorant of this one thing, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord does not delay in His promises, but for your sake is long-suffering, not wishing that any should perish but that all should turn to repentance. (2 Pet. 3: 3-9)

Starting September Right

“The purpose of this is, then, not that dogma may be tailored according to what seems better and more suited to the culture of each age; rather, that the absolute and immutable truth preached by the apostles from the beginning may never be believed to be different, may never be understood in any other way.” (Pope St. Pius X)

The last truly saintly Pope was Pius X, who promulgated the Oath Against Modernism on September 1, 1910, 106 years ago today. It is instructive to review this oath, which was abolished by Paul VI and is so widely scorned, reviled or simply ignored by those who currently occupy the visible Church today.

Saint Pius X, pray for us, pray for our priests!

With the death of this holy pope, the dark force of modernism was once again free to poison the faith, While ostensibly orthodox, Pope Benedict XV dismantled St. Pius’s Sodalitium Pianum, the network established to assure orthodoxy in the seminaries. Subsequent popes also contributed their efforts to undermining orthodoxy in sundry ways. Although these popes gave lip service to Our Lady’s message at Fatima, none actually went so far as to obey her. And so, modernism flourished under even those pre-Vatican II popes who appeared to be orthodox, until it burst into florid putrescence in the revolutionary Second Vatican Ecumenical Council.

As you review the Oath Against Modernism that follows, bear in mind that every single Conciliar Pope from John XXIII through Benedict XVI had originally sworn this solemn oath, which of course, was violated by those same popes during and after Vatican II. Every single pope until Francis, the quintessential modernist pope. The very apotheosis of Vatican II.

2016: Reparation is the key

2016: Reparation is the key.
Who is she that cometh forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in array?
Grant that I may praise thee, O Sacred Virgin, give me strength against thy enemies!

“Who is she that cometh forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in array?” (Canticles, 6, 9)
R. Thanks be to God.
V. Vouchsafe that I may praise thee, O Sacred Virgin.
R. Give me strength against thine enemies.
V. O Lord, hear my prayer.
R. And let my cry come unto Thee.

The prayer above is from the hour of Prime in the traditional Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Those who say it often are familiar with the frequent references to battle and enemies that run through the Little Office. This is because the Little Office, as a liturgical prayer of the Church, reflects the intense battle being waged against the Bride of Christ by the powers of darkness and deceit. The prayers of the Little Office are a daily reminder of the “enmity between (satan’s) seed and her seed”. 

For centuries, this simple Office has been the earnest prayer of those who are called to embrace Mary, the Immaculate Mother of our Savior as their own Mother. We are not called to merely enjoy the comforts of her love in pious prayer, but to serve our Queen actively in this intense and ongoing battle.

Seven Trumpets

In answer to requests, we will be looking at the state of the Bergoglio Church in the light of the Message of Fatima and the Apocalypse. Sister Lucia is reported to have remarked when asked about the Third Secret that it was to be found in the Apocalypse, especially Chapters 8-13; that is to say, beginning with the Seven Trumpets.

Prior to Fatima, Our Lady appeared at Quito, La Salette, Knock and (after Fatima) at Akita, all of which had a common thread of dire warning. Even though the apparition at Knock was silent, its prophetic relevance is clear from our perspective after 50 years of modernist “renewal”. Let’s start with Pope Paul’s Trumpets: In an interview with the Italian newspaper Avvenire, French writer Jean Guitton, a close friend of Pope Paul VI, recalled this interesting bit of history,

“It was the final session of the Council, the most essential in which the Pope was to bestow upon all humanity the teachings of the Council. He announced this to me with these words, ‘I am about to blow the Seven Trumpets of the Apocalypse.’ “ (Interview, 11 October, 1992, cited in the excellent book, Animus Delendi – I, by Atila Sinke Guimaraes).

Now, the source of this quote, Avvenire,  is the newspaper of the Italian Episcopal Conference, so it is fairly safe to assume the integrity of the information. Although Guitton seemed to think little of the remark, later mentioning that the Apocalypse speaks of the triumph of the Church, that is not exactly what is referred to in the passage cited by Pope Paul VI. The Angels and Trumpets are introduced in Chapter 8, “And I saw seven angels standing in the presence of God; and there were given to them seven trumpets.”  The Angels  and Trumpets and the events they usher in are  severe chastisements, foretelling in symbolic language widespread heresy, apostasy, violent wars and persecutions, and earthquakes.

Later, 29 June, 1972 on the occasion of the Ninth Anniversary of his election, Paul Paul lamented,

And there were given to them seven trumpets…

“We believed that after the [Second Vatican] Council would come a day of sunshine in the history of the Church. But instead there has come a day of clouds and storms, and of darkness …  “And how did this come about? We will confide to you the thought that maybe we ourselves admit in free discussion, that may be unfounded, and that is that there has been a power, an adversary power. Let us call him by his name: the Devil. … It is as if from some mysterious crack, no, it is not mysterious, from some crack the smoke of Satan has entered the Temple of God.”

Pope Paul’s quote comes from the Apocalypse, Chapter 9, verses 1-2:

“And the fifth angel sounded the trumpet, and I saw a star fall from heaven upon the earth, and there was given to him the key of the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit: and the smoke of the pit arose, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened with the smoke of the pit.” 

It goes on to describe how from the smoke of the pit come locusts, which are interpreted by some commentators as heretics, in fact, that is one of the explanations given in the Douay Rheims Bible.

In addition, the darkening of the sun is also seen as prophetic for a loss of faith.

In his fictional work, Windswept House, Father Malachi Martin described the Enthronement of Lucifer within the Vatican on 29 June, 1963, which of course was the date that Montini ascended the Papacy as Paul VI. In a subsequent interview, Father Martin confirmed that the Enthronement of Satan had actually occurred although he changed some details for his fictional account.

In March 2010, Father Gabriele Amorth, the chief Vatican exorcist, told Italian newspaper La Repubblica: “The devil resides in the Vatican and you can see the consequences. … He added: “When one speaks of ‘the smoke of Satan’ [a phrase coined by Pope Paul VI in 1972] in the holy rooms, it is all true – including these latest stories of violence and paedophilia.”
