If … If Not …

“If My requests are heeded, Russia will be converted and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions against the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated. In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph.”

That is to say, that one way or another, God’s justice will prevail, despite our willful disobedience. Nowhere is this more apparent that in the United States of America during this tragic pre-election melodrama.

The following post is my final attempt to address repeated requests of some readers to clarify the spiritual implications of the current political turmoil in the United States.

“And the second angel sounded the trumpet: and as it were a great mountain, burning with fire, was cast into the sea, and the third part of the sea became blood: [9] And the third part of those creatures died, which had life in the sea, and the third part of the ships was destroyed.” (Apoc. 8, 8)

Although the above has been applied appropriately to Islam, in our times it is more accurately applied to Russia. Indeed, Our Lady’s last appearance at Fatima on October 13, 1917, was just 25 days prior to the Bolshevik Revolution of November 7, 1917 (which was October 25 in the Julian or Old Style calendar by which it is referred to as the “October Revolution”).

As Father Sylvester Berry points out in his book, The Apocalypse of St. John, the burning mountain is most certainly a country and with the hindsight we have now, 99 years after Our Lady of Fatima warned that if Russia was was not consecrated,  she (Russia) “will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions against the Church. The good will be martyred; the Holy Father will have much to suffer; various nations will be annihilated.”

Fr. Berry:  “The vision shows that, despite the preaching of the Gospel, some great nation will bring war and bloodshed upon a large portion of mankind. It also predicts great persecutions against the Church. Nations will seek to destroy the Church at all hazards.”

In another earlier post, Islam and the Errors of Russia, we explained the connection between the two evils, Islam and Russia. This will all be clear soon, as the chastisement reveals its contours more clearly. But for now, just note: Blessed Elena Aiello prophesied in the year 1960 (note well the date) that “Russia will battle America and will overcome Europe. … will raise her flag over the Dome of St. Peter’s.”  Indeed, some have noted that with Pope Francis, we already have a marxist pope, since he currently owns a symbol of the errors of Russia, that is, a hammer and sickle on which Christ Our Saviour hangs crucified.
