Lot’s Wife and the Little Shepherds

When God chastises us, we should attempt to discern the lesson to be learned, otherwise, we become a part of the unfortunate who simply fall beneath the blade, to their eternal ruin. How many faithful today, are really paying attention? How many will lose their souls over this scandal?

Once before, God struck the wicked, destroying Sodom and Gomorrah and every living thing in the area round about, saving only Lot and his wife and daughters. The angels took Lot and his family away from the city, cautioning them:

“Save thy life: look not back, neither stay thou in all the country about: but save thyself in the mountain, lest thou be also consumed. And the Lord rained upon Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven. And He destroyed these cities, and all the country about, all the inhabitants of the cities, and all things that spring from the earth. And (Lot’s) wife looking behind her, was turned into a statue of salt.”

In many posts, we have warned that this time was coming. And when it did, we attempted to stress that the great and disheartening evils we now see are the beginning of still greater evils yet to come. What has been hidden will be made known, not in order to titillate curiosity, but in order for the faithful to make reparation before God’s justice. To the extent that reparation is offered, grace is given in even greater profusion. Our Lady has generously promised that nothing we ask for by our rosaries will be denied – now this refers to the salvation of souls particularly! But the time is short.

Now is the time

It may be that soon we shall see God’s justice. Whosoever is found to be faithful at that time, will obtain their reward, not perhaps in this life, for few will survive, but in the next. Now is the time for us to make reparation and to beseech God’s mercy for poor sinners, especially those most in need, that is, those who are about to die in their sins and thus lose their souls forever.

Now is the time to save our souls and the souls entrusted to us.

That is what is meant by fleeing to the mountain to save ourselves. This in no way indicates that we are to cower and avoid conflict, or hide our heads in the sand. We are stay informed, but not become mesmerized by the deluge of scandal on the internet. Our task is to work earnestly, as we were instructed by St. Michael at Fatima 102 years ago, offering everything as a sacrifice. Souls depend on this. Many souls depend on this.

And yet, each day, readers contact me with links to new tidbits offered on other blogs about new outrages, insults to Our Lady and to Our Lord. Sadly, satan’s servants in the Church take particular pleasure in insulting Our Lady on her feastdays. Now, many websites today focus on outrage. And there is no scarcity of outrage in this withering desolation of the St. Gallen Pope. And the revelations have only just begun, much more is to come.

Do not look back

As the Angels warned Lot and his family, “Do not look back.” Understand that this does not mean that you must ignore the crisis, but you must not dwell on it, but instead dwell in the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts, where we have our true home. Look on all this as it truly is, not merely an obscene, pornographic satire of the Church hierarchy, but as proof that God has become thoroughly fed up with us, has left us to our own devices and will soon mop the whole place up in the way that He prefers. It will be quite a stunning example of His great and just anger.

When this divine wrath visits us, do you want to be found gazing in morbid fascination at the lurid details of Sodom and its destruction, or do you want to be devoutly adoring and trusting in Him who is our only salvation? Heed the Angels. Lot’s Angels instructed him not to look back but to turn away from Sodom and its destruction.

The Angels’ Advice

The Angel of Fatima, St. Michael has instructed us:

“Do not be afraid! I am the Angel of Peace. Pray with me.”

“Kneeling on the ground, he bowed down until his forehead reached the ground. Led by a supernatural impulse, we did the same, and repeated the words which we heard him say:”

“My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love You! I ask pardon of You for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love You!”

“Having repeated these words three times, he rose and said:”

“Pray thus. The Hearts of Jesus and Mary are attentive to the voice of your supplications.”

Then, one day when the children were amusing themselves,

‘What are you doing? Pray, pray very much! The Holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary have designs of mercy on you. Offer prayers and sacrifices constantly to the Most High.’

” ‘How are we to make sacrifices?’ I asked.”

‘Make of everything you can a sacrifice, and offer it to God as an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and in supplication for the conversion of sinners. You will thus draw down peace upon your country. I am its Angel Guardian, the Angel of Portugal.

Above all, accept and bear with submission the suffering which the Lord will send you.’

Towards the end of September or early October, the Angel of Fatima again appeared:

“We beheld the Angel. He was holding a chalice in his left hand, with the Host suspended above it, from which some drops of Blood fell into the chalice.

Leaving the Chalice and the Host suspended in the air, the Angel knelt down beside us and made us repeat three times:”

‘Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly and I offer Thee the Most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of the same Son Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for all the sacrileges, outrages and indifferences by which He Himself is offended. And by the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Thee the conversion of poor sinners.’

“Then, rising, he took the Chalice and the Host in his hands. He gave the Sacred Host to me, and shared the Blood from the Chalice between Jacinta and Francisco, saying as he did so:”

‘Take and drink the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, horribly outraged by ungrateful men! Make reparation for their crimes and console your God.’

You know these things – Already we have discussed them so many times! And so we offer up to God our temptation to indulge curiosity – it saddens Our Lord all the more, that we prefer to fill our time with sordid, shocking details instead of spending it consoling Him and the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of our Blessed Mother.

It is our choice: Lot’s Wife disregarded the Angel, and indulged her curiosity; but Francisco, Jacinta and Lùcia obeyed the Angel of Fatima and adored God, offering reparation and obtaining the conversion of many sinners.

Our time here is so precious and so fleeting! Let’s make the best of it and save many, many souls!

NOTE: Already, as we reviewed this post, there were objections, “So you say we should just pray our rosaries and do nothing?!” Answer: 1. Praying the Rosary is not nothing, it is what was asked for. 2. Leaders of the true remnant will arise to lead us in God’s own time. Our spiritual work prepares the way for good leaders. We are to watch and pray, trusting in Our Lady as she has told us. Never have we been told that our salvation and the souls of others depends on our blogging or browsing the internet.

Please, pray the Rosary, for the glory of God, for the love of Our Lady and for the salvation of poor sinners!

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of our hearts, Mother of the Church, do thou offer to the Eternal Father the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, for the conversion of poor sinners, especially our Pontiff.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy kingdom come! Viva Cristo Rey!
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death.
St. Joseph, protect us, protect our families, protect our priests.
St. Michael, Archangel of Fatima, defend us in battle.

Please pray for the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary!

~ by evensong for love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, King.
Vouchsafe that I may praise thee, O Sacred Virgin! Give me strength against thine enemies!

April 19, 2018, Thoughts on Fatima for today

The most useful message we can offer during this reign of the enemies of Christ is to  return to the true message of Fatima. Now, when the Church is being assaulted by those within its highest ranks, even the vulgar man occupying the See of Peter,  it seems that those who are faithful to tradition and devoted to Our Lady of Fatima are less in unity than ever before.

Criticising others is not my goal; my intention is to point out that today, we have a leadership void and the temptation arises for various persons to “step into the breach” as it were and set themselves up as leader.  I  have no “following” nor do I seek one.  My goal is to help readers assemble reliable sources of information in order to prayerfully distinguish the true Fatima Message and hold fast to it.

The rule in all this is always the rule of love. A useful site is motivated by devotion to the glory of God, the honor of the Immaculata and the salvation of souls. If you do not discern those qualities,  it is best to look elsewhere. Today, more than ever satan deceives so many by vain curiosity, and by promoting devotions which detract from the true devotions to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Included in those essential devotions is  devotion to Our Lady’s Miraculous Medal, which honors her Immaculate Conception and is a most potent sacramental.

The first resource and clearest summary is the three volumes by Frère Michel de la Sainte Trinité, The Whole Truth About Fatima, (Vol 1, Vol 2, Vol 3) which are still available online through archive.org. That site is rapidly removing true Catholic classics.  But if I am able, I hope to provide you with sources for reliable e-versions of the Catholic classics before I stop posting.

The Angel’s Message — A Closer Look

In 2000, the Vatican advised Catholics that Fatima’s message was relegated to the past. However, at Fatima on May 13, 2010, Pope Benedict XVI confirmed that, “we would be mistaken to think that the prophetic mission of Fatima is complete“.  And yet, the misinformation campaign from the Vatican continues to bear fruit in the widespread apathy to the true penitential message of Fatima. Any faithful Catholic who has been paying attention to the unfolding crisis of the faith under Pope Francis, can clearly see that the current papacy is not in any way obedient to the message of the Mother of God at Fatima and the Church does not seem to be able to pull out of this self-destructive mode without Divine assistance. Perhaps it is wise to revisit the message of the Angel of Fatima

At Fatima, in 1917, Our Savior Jesus Christ sent us His own Holy Mother as His emissary to urge us to turn from sin, repent and renew our spiritual battle in prayer and reparation. But did you know that the year before, in Summer of 1916,   St. Michael the Archangel, God’s own great warrior, who vanquished Satan and his minions into the eternal fires of hell, appeared to Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta? Fatima scholars believe that St. Michael was preparing the little shepherds to receive Our Lady’s revelations.

The Angel of Fatima
“Take and drink the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, horribly outraged by ungrateful men.
Make reparation for their crimes and console Our Lord

What did the Angel say? After identifying himself as the Angel of Peace, he taught the children to pray. Now, you may well ask, if the Angel was the great warrior Angel of God, St. Michael the Archangel, why did he identify himself as the Angel of Peace? Because as St. Michael knows, peace will only result when Satan is vanquished. In this, our final battle, our greatest spiritual armaments are prayer and sacrifice. In fact, the very essence of the Catholic Faith, the epitome of Catholicity is the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, which unites the most perfect and acceptable prayer with the most perfect and unblemished sacrifice.

After assuring the children at that first visit that “The Hearts of Jesus and Mary are attentive to the voice of your supplications”, the Angel left them, only to return in a few months. At the time, the children were relaxing in the shade of a fig tree beside a well. The Angel reappeared chiding them, “What are you doing? Pray, pray a great deal! The Hearts of Jesus and Mary have designs of mercy for you! Offer unceasingly to the Most High prayers and sacrifices!”

Lucia then asked the Angel how they were to sacrifice themselves. “Offer up everything within your power as a sacrifice to the Lord in an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended; and of supplication for the conversion of sinners….Above all, accept and bear with submission the sufferings that the Lord may send you.”

Reminiscing later, Sister Lucia remarked that the words of the Angel enlightened them to Who God is, how God wants us to love Him and how much He values our sacrifices and rewards them with conversion of sinners. From that time on, the children occupied themselves increasingly in praying to God as the Angel had taught them and making use of the opportunities for sacrifice that presented themselves, moment by moment in their daily lives.

That Autumn, the Angel appeared in the most remarkable of his apparitions thus far. He held a chalice in his hand, over which was suspended a Host, from which drops of Precious Blood fell into the chalice. Leaving the Sacred Host and Chalice suspended in the air, the Angel then prostrated himself on the ground before it, repeating the following prayer:
