Preparing for the Synod of Darkness, Part I

As September draws to a close and we attempt to prepare for the next attack on the faith from the current occupant of the Vatican, it seems appropriate to review some of the prophecies regarding this particular time. Today’s is the first of what I hope will be three articles, with parts 2 and 3 coming 9/25 and 9/27, God willing. I rely heavily on Frère Michel de la Sainte Trinité.

From The Whole Truth About Fatima, Vol. III

It is Jesus Himself Who first predicted this terrible crisis of the Faith which will open the “last times”. Along with famines and earthquakes, wars and persecutions, Our Lord clearly predicts that there will also be grave deficiencies even within the Church:

“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation, and will put you to death; and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will fall away, and will betray one another, and will hate one another. And many false prophets will arise, and will lead many astray. And because iniquity will abound, the charity of the many will grow cold. But whoever perseveres to the end, he shall be saved.” (Mt. 24: 9-13)

“… For false christs and false prophets will arise, and will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. Behold, I have foretold it to you.” (Mt. 24: 24)

Finally, we are familiar with these stupefying words of Jesus:

“Yet when the Son of man comes, will He find, do you think, faith on the earth?” (Lk. 18: 8)

This question of Our Lord, explained by His other prophecies on the last times – which are utterly definite and unconditional – takes on an even more dramatic resonance. The apostasy will come, Jesus evokes its most extreme extension, and He leaves us in uncertainty.

THE APOSTOLIC PREACHING

The Apostles understood this tragic teaching very well. There are countless texts where they evoke this menacing apostasy. They multiply warnings against its artisans, the false prophets and false doctors of all sorts, who come from the Church’s very bosom and are already at work against Her, striving furiously to destroy the Faith of the faithful. But “in the last days”, they make it clear, the false prophets will multiply most dangerously. We must reread chapters II and III of Saint Peter’s Second Epistle:

“But there were false prophets also among the people, just as among you there will be lying teachers who will bring in destructive sects. They even disown the Lord Who bought them, thus bringing upon themselves swift destruction.” (2 Pet. 2: 1)

“This first you must know, that in the last days there will come deceitful scoffers, men walking according to their own lusts, saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”… But beloved, do not be ignorant of this one thing, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord does not delay in His promises, but for your sake is long-suffering, not wishing that any should perish but that all should turn to repentance.” (2 Pet. 3: 3-9)

We must reread Saint Jude, taking up the same theme:

Is it clear yet?

Update on Feb 3, 2017: Since this entry was posted, Dr. Roberto de Mattei has written an excellent article for Rorate Caeli, wherein he discusses the brutal disregard of the Pope even for international law and concludes:

“The wish of Bp. Bernard Fellay to regularize the canonical position of the Society of St. Pius X with an agreement that nothing will undermine the identity of his institute is certainly commendable, but the question arises: Is it opportune to be placed under the legal umbrella of Rome in the very moment when the law is being ignored, or worse yet, being used as a means to crack down on those who want to remain faithful to Catholic faith and morals?”

Jan 30 2017:
The past few posts were an attempt to provide some context with which to view the current – and soon to come – events in the Church. It is not an easy task, as no mere human being can hope to withstand the ferocious violence with which the faithful are attacked daily by this beast. I am certainly no match for this!

This morning’s post from Sandro Magister tells us, “The decapitation inflicted by Pope Francis on the Order of Malta is therefore twofold. Because what is falling is not only the head of Grand Master Festing, but also, de facto, that of cardinal patron Raymond Leo Burke.” I wonder if that is clear enough for the paid professional Catholics who constantly twitter about how Francis needs to “clarify” the meaning of Amoris Laetitia.

Is it clear yet?

Magister’s article refers us to Edward Pentin’s most excellent series chronicling the tragedy. In particular, note Pentin’s most recent wherein he hints at the truth: Speaking of Boeselager and the three associates of his on the Papal Commission, Pentin states, “The three and Boeselager have also been involved in a $118 million bequest to the Order held in a Swiss trust. ”

Readers, keep in mind St. John’s words, “For all that is in the world, is the concupiscence of the flesh, and the concupiscence of the eyes, and the pride of life, which is not of the Father, but is of the world.” (I John, 2,16). Do you understand? Satan, within the Church: The Pride of Life which is of the world is the heresy of modernism in its myriad forms, Concupiscence of the Flesh is the perverted lusts of the St. Gallen/Lavender Mafia and their vulgar representative, and the Concupiscence of the Eyes is the insatiable greed for money and power that has infected the Vatican for well over a century now.

To put it more plainly, it is about money, perverted lust and perverted dogma.

In many previous posts I have warned that the Mass will be taken from us. Bishop Fellay, bless his heart is taking great strides to accomplish just this. And the same forces we just identified are behind the good Bishop’s capitulation. And when he has succeeded, there will soon be an end to the true Mass throughout the world.  [My comment to clarify. I have always had great affection and admiration for Bishop Fellay. I believe him to be an extraordinarily good and holy man. But I also believe that for some reason, he has chosen to pursue a very dangerous course in this matter. Pope Francis has repeatedly demonstrated his willingness to disregard rules in order to destroy anything he sees as an obstruction to his remaking of the Church. It is no use to tell me that “the Pope cannot do that to the Society” or that if the Pope moves against the Society, “there will be an outcry.” There has been “an outcry” over the Pope’s heterodox Amoris Laetitia and it has not even slowed this Pope down. Far from it, he has now attacked Cardinal Burke and has brutally moved against the Sovereign Order of the Knights of Malta. Just for the record, the Pope has no right to take over the Knights this way.Yet he is doing it.

Lifesite News reported:

“…As the Order of Malta is a sovereign entity, the pope asking its leader to resign was extremely unusual. Catholic University of America canon law professor Kurt Matens said what Pope Francis did “amounts to de facto annexation” and is a “serious violation of international law.”

Pope Francis declared all of Festing’s recent acts “null and void,” including Boeselager’s removal.

This Pope cares not a fig for what is right or wrong. If the Society enters into any agreement with this Pope, they can expect to be treated as others have been and are still being treated.

Pope Francis is not in any way a man of integrity. he will not keep his word. His goal here is to silence the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. That is what is at stake. I would not normally become so strident but I believe there is a clear and present danger posed by Pope Francis. I am speaking because I believe with every fiber of my being that Archbishop Lefebvre’s beautiful work will be endangered if the Society approaches Rome under its current management. I do not doubt that Bishop Fellay’s intentions are excellent and that he is much holier and wiser than most and perhaps it is the Holy Ghost guiding him. But I cannot stand by and not even speak my convictions, which are full of foreboding in this matter.]
